I have a question for tge liberals...if canadas free health care and gun laws are the key to a perfect society why is it they dont just stay in canada?

I thought canada was better than america because they have free health care? They immigrated to a safe country, canada. They can't seek Asylum in america because they were in canada first

I lived in Montana for five years moving from Ontario Canada. I returned after five years because your legal system is a joke. Healthcare is so expensive living in Canada’s way. Better get free healthcare which to me is the number one top thing.Canada has free health care everyone in need can get welfare low income housing the disabled have disabled people a paycheque each month that covers their bills and food costs. I came back when I had my daughter her dad‘s in Montana. I am in Canada now. I lived there for five years and the people are very judgmental. I find and drugs are so much more accessible in the US. I found the racism just blunt in the US Like people don’t even try to hide it jobs in Montana at that time I was making three dollars an hour minimum wage when we were getting paid $10 an hour in Canada at that time so minimum wage is way higher

As for your health care system tied to your job, it means that you are in some respects not free to quit your job if you are having health issues. In Canada if you hate your job, you quit. You don't have to keep working because your healthcare is always guaranteed. job or no job.

Lets keep i real. The desire that most immigrants have is homeostasis which is the familiar. All humans do this. Individually indians are usually smart and decent people. The very nature of hoarding resources for ones family, same culture, etc are the same oppressive situations many of these people left their countries to seek better opportunities. But once given those opportunities and a chance to decide for themselves, a lot of these people use their liberties to create exclusion and hostility toward out groups. The indians do this in a very overt in your face way, the chinese are more polite about it but both have this way of looking out for their own and not being concerned with anyone else. As far as im conerned you should all be split up and dispersered to live in different provinces and cites. I know this isnt realitic but it would save them from what a lot of them are gunna end up be exposed to which is experiences with native born Canadians who are going to very rudly show you what happens when you disrespectf someone in their own home. \n\nThe party is over. If you are a Canadian but move to the USA and work there then you are not paying taxes in Canada so you are no longer able to be covered by our Canadian Universal health care, so that people that had podiatry care in Canada would have to pay for that!

I've been to the states many times! My opinion is that Americans focus on wallets more than social issues! Americans care more about their own circumstances than working together to help the whole of the population. No one likes to pay more taxes but they are a nessesary evil to be able to pay for health care, public security, and so on! So sure Americans don't pay as much for some things but pay more for things that they shouldn't pay! Health care is something that is very important, how can you be expected to pay for health services if you can't work cause you're ill, doesn't make any sence! I actually get the tariffs on Canada and the EU. We defend them and they make fun of us for not having free health care. Yeah. Some provinces that shall remain nameless like to break contracts with health care professionals, resulting in shortages of certain types of workers. \n\nI live in remote northish parts of my province (not NWT, Yukon, or Nunavut), and 6 years ago I was diagnosed w/ lymphoma. They had me set up to do chemotherapy treatment within 2 weeks. They wanted me to start that weekend, but I needed the time to put my work in order for me to be gone for an extended period, get applications set up for EI/Healthcare claims, and figure out who in my family I wanted to share the information with. \n\nIn Canada you end up waiting for elective surgeries and treatments, because they aren't critical by virtue of being elective. That's about it. If you need an elective and have 10K in your pocket not doing anything, go ahead and go to the states.

The United States has full surveillance commercialism. That means that Canada Customs could theoretically pay to find the answers to questions like: Does this person have a tendency to criminality or violence? Does this person pose a threat to children, law enforcement, or Canadian society? Is this person likely to be a burden on Canada's health care system?.... All of that information is available on every single American for a price. In fact, because Facebook/Meta and Google etc store their information in the United States, they could likely also give that information about every single Canadian.

I am a newfoundlander known across the country as a NEWFIE. You ask would i give up by birthplace to move to the USA? I wouldn't consider moving to anywhere in Canada let alone move to the USA. We have health insurance which is taken care of by government, we have Dental care that's taken care of by government we have Starbucks, Tim Horton's, and all the other goodies you mentioned here or you think are goodies. We have very nice people and everyone is willing to help and not stab the neighbour in the back. We have some of the best that nature has to offer. Move? Not bloody likely.

Lived in Canada for almost 40 years. Worked in USA for 5 years 25 years ago. I did make a lot more money in USA then, luckily, I was in my 20s and almost never seen a doctor in my 5 years in the USA. \nThank God I didn't get into any accident while there. \n\nIn general, I observed many people in the USA are not good neighbors. Simple observation, ex you drive and merge into a lane in a busy SF Bay Highway you need to fight hard to get into a lane. In BC, Canada, merging lanes is very orderly, each vehicle takes turn merging into a lane one entering from one lane and then another vehicle from another lane with respect and consideration. \nIn the USA, I think it is this brutal mentality translates into policy in health care and education, you are not responsible to help your community in any way and take while you can for yourself.

You might have the highest quality health care for your rich people but there's a reason we fought hard to keep your milk out of here, and our meat is far better too, which is why you import it. After living in the US 30 yrs and raising 2 kids, I had to return to Canada for family reasons, and THE biggest difference is the comfort in knowing my health care is covered without having to pay 100's of dollars a month for that secure feeling.

I have heard the average just to have baby in the US is 7-10K not including prenatal care, here in Canada it is zero…\nI have been pregnant 3 times, sadly lost my first 2, and I have had 2 complete knee replacements and several spinal cord surgeries…I would be dead for sure if I lived in the States, here I have paid nothing, I have insurance and that pays for my medication I need to take. I don’t know how people manage down there if you have health issues.

I am a senior and live in Vancouver, BC and my son who has dual citizenship lives in Seattle, WA. His wife and him will move back to Canada when he retires. I visit Seattle and enjoy going there. The shopping is great fun especially with all the big store headquarters being there and we can't forget Trader Joe's. I don't drink alcohol anymore, but the cost, volume and availability is crazy. He also lived in New York and lived a train ride away to the suburbs (great system) and was a lovely area to raise a family. Visited NYC and loved it. I've lived in Montreal and just love big cities. In saying all that, I think were all basically the same, however I could never permamentally live in the US. I can no longer afford the outrageous travel health insurance to travel to the USA because of my age and health issues. I have a primary doctor and four specialists that I see on a regular basis, waiting for a hip replacement and none has cost me a cent. Oh yes, I get free dental care. I wouldn't move to the states, but would sure like to visit again. Politics is a whole other subject.

Unfortunately it is not true that a majority of the Indians are highly qualified. To be honest many of the Indian students here have poor communication skills and questionable qualifications. What is needed is a more careful selection process. I know of some Indians who are highly trained well educated and an asset to Canada especially in the health and tech fields. At the same time I see many who are not able to pass basic language tests let alone professional examinations.

I believe that lack of health care in the U.S. stops many Canadians from even considering moving and working in the U.S. It may take longer to get medical care and treatment in Canada, but everyone is entitled to it. About 30 yrs ago we all paid into it, at our jobs. Not anymore. I believe employers may still be paying into it, but I think now it is just paid for with our taxes. So even people that do not work or are retired, each and every person is allowed it - if you live here.\nThere is also some Dental Care provided for some Children. Very recently,free Dental care is provided for people over 65. It is very new, so I do not know a lot about it yet. Also some drugs too are free for those over 65 too.\n\nPersonally I do not even want to visit the U.S because it seems like a very dangerous place.

There is advantages to living in the US that appeal to Canadians for different reasons but if your family is in Canada it makes sense that when a Canadian who lives in the US comes into hard times you can’t replace the comfort your family can give you and if you don’t have a lot of money Canadian social safety nets and health care makes life a little easier to live. Browsing through the net for job opportunities, confined to a small room at high costs, finally if and when they are been called for one or two interviews at most despite forwarding more than 100 resumes, at the interviews they will be offered lower than the minimum wage for parttime workers. What a crime\n Here I am talking about fully qualified and experienced, as well as fluent English Speakers, actually better English skills than both of you here presenting this program. What a scam, first they say that English fluency is essential has introduced different Examination to assess the English fluency standard.. it is a big scam...while Canada has favoured immigrants from certain parts of the globe. In that case why did the Federal Governments of Canada created a delusion to migrants from around the globe stating that there is an acute labour shortage in certain high demanding job categories, encouraging all such applicants to apply through the Skilled labour Program introduced by the Federal Government of Canada,. as if there are shiploads of opportunities available just for geabs.\nSuch individuals are driven to state of utter despair or forced to get back to their home countries whereas here the federal Government of Canada is granting Asylum to all sorts of unskilled , uneducated and sometimes no literacy nor basic communication skills in English at all at the expense of the taxes and high tuition fees acquired from the student population as well as PR Holders who has incurred massive expenditure through the federal Government's detailed and tough assessment procedures just to gain entry under the stipulated visa categories. Whilst all such individuals who has made a genuine effort by using their own reserves and during their stay pay high consumer taxes and high rent are being denied to gain employment but certain uneducated hooligans and certain communities are allowed to enter Canada Scot free as Asylum Seekers through the IRCC refugee and immigration act and Asylum Seeker Act.\nHow unfair and unrealistic...\nWhen you present such videos be aware of your content as not only the Canadians are contributing to the Federal Governments tax schemes. Here in central Canada, we have LOADS of elderly East Indian immigrants, on top of the hords of younger ones. \n\nYou know your system is garbage when u bring in 100000s of thousands of immigrants u know will never contribute to a society, yet will gladly take benifits and the far more expensive health care; which is already veey overburdened. \n\nIts insanity!! I understand the principle of family reunification, but u can not do it without crushing the services of the host nation. It's just simple math.?

Someone should let them know that so called better life is not waiting for them in Canada at least. Canada needs to be tough on it’s immigration policy. Deport all visitors who have expired visas especially the foreign workers and international students. As a Canadian I think he's over-looking the drug crisis in B.C. and Ontario has one of the worst and corrupt provincial governments in Canada and Montreal has a pretty high Crime rate like Toronto. Plus Most of these provincial governments only think of the Main cities like Toronto for the Ontario Government and Montreal, Quebec City for Quebec. Plus Ottawa is now prone to Occupations and other major demonstrations due to the lack of Canadian people's care of health and safety.

It all boils down to individual perspective and preferences. Opportunity-wise, USA offers more opportunities than Canada. Safety-wise, Canada is safer than the USA. Aging-wise, Canada offers more free health-care than the USA, although it depends on where in the USA you are located. So, to each his own preferences and expectations.

I have ethnic background from Hong Kong and have been living in Canada for almost 40 years. I love Canada and am proud of this beautiful country. However, I think part of the immigration problem we have is the ongoing issue of allowing dual citizenship of everyone who have become a Canadian citizen. I have personally known lots of HK immigrants who would return to their own countries to work as soon as they have got their Canadian passports. Normally one of the parents would stay with their children here for free schooling, medical care and child tax benefits. Their children will follow their parents to go back to HK after they graduated from universities in order to avoid the higher income tax . Unfortunately, those parents will come back to retire in Canada so that they can get free health care benefits and OAS once they have fulfilled the residency requirement of 10 years. Canada do need more skilled and educated immigrants to make our country more prosperous but not those who try to take advantage of our lenient immigration policies. I think we should take back the passports of those who have left Canada for more than 2 years or those who have evaded taxes so that we do not continue to support those never contributed to our country. PS, I mentioned about HK only because of my origin and I believe the same problem would be caused by immigrants from other countries too.

Try and be a good person.....period.\nCanada is a huge country with many variables in taxes, climate and culture. In southern Ontario I shovel the driveway about 4 times a winter. Winter is mild now compared to the 60's. \nI try and aviod processed foods that are taxed as opposed to most groceries that are not taxed. \nHealth Care has gone downhill in the last 25 years. \nBut, no one goes broke paying hospital bills. Fortunately health care where I live is very good. No wate times or problems. But, it would be great if nurses and doctors came to Canada!!!

I lived in New Hampshire in the Mountains and in Vermont for 8 months for Medical reasons. When I got back to Ottawa Ontario Canada they sent me a Health Care bill that was quite high but my Social Assistance Worker paid Thousands of dollars for my use of your Medical Services otherwise I would have had to pay 30,000 dollars that I couldn't afford. Your cigarettes were cheap as I smoked Marlboro smokes which reminded me of cigars ? in the form of cigarettes.
