Yall Sound stupid AF talking about I’m with Canada and Ukraine! As a Black Woman I understand we have an issues. But It’s USA VS EVERYBODY! Get down or Lay Down!

I’m European and what Trump is doing is really going to hurt USA the most. \nCause he is putting tariffs on so many. The pain for the countries that get tariffs put on them gets spread out, but for USA it gets to take the blows from all of them who retaliate back. It’s mentality insanity.\nAmericans will struggle the most from this.\nI hope you guys wake up and understand what is going on. \nDon’t believe the lies you hear from Trump. We don’t pay your tariffs, you do!\nInflation will also run amok because of this.

For me, this is a major wake up call. We have them an opportunity to be apart of our economy and they’ve used it to threaten us. Both Canada and Mexico. We need to bring everything back to USA and I’m ok with patriotically paying the cost of any inflationary attack from these countries so long as we take EVERYTHING back to the USA.

I’m a Canadian and no fan of Prime Minister Trudeau. It’s unfortunate the best speech he ever gave was after he resigned as Prime Minister. What he has said in this speech is absolutely true, despite the fact, I think Trump is doing some good things for the USA. This Terrif war with your neighbour is stupid. Unfortunately for us in Canada our Prime Minister has not given us the tools and freedom to grow economically and prosper the way we should have. Canadians should be living like Kings, but unfortunately are living paycheque to paycheque because of the stranglehold that our Prime Minister has put on businesses and its citizens. Now Canada has very little leverage, I believe to fight this Terrif war. Canada has become a pure Cradic nightmare, like the previous administration in the United States were overtaxed over regulated and spend money like drunken sailors on stupid things that don’t help us grow and prosper.

Americans obviously didn’t understand what tariffs are, didn’t get that it’s an import tax which they must pay on goods and products they buy from Canada, a tax which tRump collects from Americans and uses to pay for tax-cuts for the richest citizens. But one more thing Americans don’t get is that before this fateful day an unofficial boycott against ALL US goods has been growing since tRump insulted Canada’s Prime Minister and threatened Canada’s sovereignty—whereas Canada’s official countervails ( which only kicked-in today )only target certain US goods, not ALL of them like ordinary Canadians are doing in growing numbers right now—in fact, the imposition of tRump’s tariffs today has only made the unofficial boycott bigger and more organized. It’s heartening that so many nations have solicited Canada, offering alternative sources for common US exports to Canada —citrus fruits, pharmaceuticals, and other manufactures, to name a few.\n\nI don’t think Canadians even realize how big this unofficial boycott is getting because it’s growing so fast. Trump is not fit for the office of President. Its not only that he's a buffoon, its that he's willing to destroy his own country. He's repeatedly proven that he does not care about his own people and is happy to see them suffer if it will increase his wealth.\nThe USA went through decades of the Red-Scare only to have Trump cosy up to the worst Russian Communist Leader since Stalin. I'm glad the rest of the world is reassessing their relationships with the USA and people are voluntarily boycotting the USA.

Canada is being too gentle in its initial response. Why not go full throttle right from the get go. It’s shameful what “the most powerful country in the world”,”the land of the free” or whatever arrogant nickname the USA wants to go by. Respect! I think Trudeau speaks plainly about the madness of the latest tariffs. I'm pleased that he speech was measured and polite. And how he spoke directly to people in the USA, dismissing the totally unjustifiable reasons Trump has made for implementing the tariffs.

Maybe he should discuss the constant duty fees and border crossing fees for anything shipped from Canada to the USA that have been constantly rising for years; fees that his very own government sets. Maybe he should talk about Canada demanding that anyone that sells anything foodwise to anyone in Canada from the USA has to have a special Safe Food For Canadians Food License or the goods being shipped will be rejected at the US owners cost, seized by the border and held in storage at the US owners cost, and destroyed and billed to the US owner. A license that no one actually needs considering other legal and ethical controls are in place to prevent unsafe foods from crossing the border, but Canada reserves the right to make us pay for one or we suffer consequences. Maybe he should discuss how they left their borders open to migrants, making it much easier for criminal migrants to get into the US. Maybe he should understand that the US has always been bleeding money to Canada on a trade level for about half a century with it getting much worse in the last decade because Canada's government are greedy. Before any of you come at me, keep in mind I work in the food ingredient industry as an order processing, logistics and customs & border crossing and have done so for 15 years. These tariffs were a long time coming and if any of you are on the inside of trade in the manner I am, then you know what I'm saying is true. The US is constantly paying additional tariffs by way of duty fees, customs fees, certain applied taxes (like there is literally a blueberry tax to ship US grown blueberries into Canada to prevent US blueberries from taking over the Canadian blueberry market). The blueberry tax is about 25cents per lb. which drives the price per lb. up for the seller and buyer. You wanna know why Food costs so much? All of the above with a huge side helping of GREED.
