I have to ask are you giving up your Canadian citizenship? And I have to tell you I bet you are going to keep it. And although I agree with some things eg: the extreme stance and slide into extreme liberalism, your move is one extreme to the other, and despite the cancel culture here it still stands for real freedom when compared to the middle east. So please do us a favor and if war breaks out where you are going to, please do not ask the Canadian people and government (like so many islamic homesick have in the past) to rescue you at the monetary expense and potential risk to our Canadian men and womens lives- that would be so insulting not to mention hypocritical and Canadians take note of such things and they don't forget. Having said that have a good trip or I guess I should say permanent move.

I agree with many points you have made in this video but, I want to point out one thing about Canadians (and most western cultures)- they have an egalitarian view of society and are much less selfish as compared to Indians. Take that instance you mentioned about that Canadian woman who was waiting with her child in the emergency ward - unlike Indians she knew that there was another person whose situation was more dire than that of her child so she willingly waited for her child's turn to be looked at by the emergency doctor. But, in the case of Indians they will not have the grace to wait quietly for their turn.

Not sure why I got this in my recommendations but I gave it a watch. I would agree with most reasons for your wanting to leave, even as a non-muslim. But what bothers me is how many Muslims are discontented with the social values and economics this federal government has been promoting and implementing - but they helped elect that govt. They threw their support behind the current federal govt because they seemed Muslim-friendly, while at the same time that same government promoted things that contradicted Islamic social values. Also , its my opinion, that govt is responsible for the runaway cost-of-living via inflation because of their horrible fiscal policies.

This is so sad that you are leaving. I agree that things are going down hill. I am a Christian and I think that if families like yours and families like mine lived in communities together, it would make a big difference because we share many of the same values.

As someone who moved Canada 3.5 years ago, I agree with all the reasons mentioned. There are many things government could have done better to fight against the inflation, housing crisis, high cost of living and rise in crime and homelessness. I don't even want to mention about the taxes. Like I am almost giving half of my salary to the government yet they are still taking %13 more on what we spend on, yet I've never seen a single place where that money was used to address any of these problems. One of the reasons I moved to Canada was to have a better life style, more buying power and better future for my future kids. But at this point I feel like I am living in a zombie land. High skilled workers will have some other opportunities elsewhere but refugees and low skilled workers will be stuck in Canada and it will get only worse with the current policies.

Can’t help but see and feel the similarities between Muslim’s and Christian’s (conservatives). We are constantly vilified as well for following the Bible and not wanting our children to be around or taught perversions. Here in Michigan we have a pretty significant Muslim population and it was truly gratifying to see them coming together with the Christian’s to fight back against the indoctrination happening in our schools. Our media loves to call Christian’s all the “igot” and “acist” “obic” words, but they hold their tongues a lot better when Muslim’s are involved for fear of being seen as another type of “ascist”. lol I wish all of us (Christian, Muslim, Jewish) who follow a moral code as shown to us in our various Holy books could come together on this. There would be so many of us combined, billions! With all of us together can you just imagine how fast we could turn this deterioration of humanity around? I am a Canadian and I am puzzled by many of the claims you make. First housing price will vary a lot depending if you are in Vancouver, Toronto or Quebec City. Where I live, in the greater Montreal area, it's not difficult to buy a house if you have 2 median salaries. You say healthcare is expensive ?? It's mostly free (paid by our Taxes) and there are a lot of jobs posted. Almost all companies have a very hard time recruiting as there are very few candidates. The only thing I will give you is grocery price which is indeed expensive. Ultimately I agree that Canada is not great but where would I go ??? U.S. , Western Europe or every where I can think of is even worst in most respect.

SOOO many bad things about Canada! I agree with you. In a nutshell: A terrible healthcare system (eternal waiting periods and no doctors), No jobs available (only if you want to work low paying security or fast food jobs), the worst climate on the planet, high cost of living, taxes and NO housing! Quebec also has a serious language problem. So leaving Canada makes PERFECT SENSE.

As a born and raised Canadian I can tell you I agree things have changed \nMy pros and cons\nPros - clean, low crime, multi cultural, subsidized but declining healthcare, lower cost tuition for Canadian citizens compared to USA, polite but not friendly people \n-\nCons \n- bad weather for many months of the year. Lots of gloomy rainy and snowy days \n- high cost of living. I didn't know about the thing of the sik'hi knife that might be carried around public places in many countries. I used to think we were very much the same and I wanted to live in the US for the weather. But as we go often I have found the atmosphere and attitude has changed greatly in the last few years. People we used to be friends with don’t speak to me anymore as I called them on their awful beliefs. I know it’s not everyone but those beliefs have become way more common. The US used to be more global but now has become way more worried about themselves. \nYou can not talk about politics in a way that’s just a calm exchange, the hate is palpable. I went to an event the morning after a mass shooting and was visibly upset, not one person there talked about it or really thought about it. I asked someone about their thoughts and said “I don’t know why we have so many shootings here in the US” \nEducation is my next thing. The people I talk to know nothing about Canada and that’s not such a surprise but I know more about the US than most Americans I’ve talked to.\nI agree with a comment previously 26:29 that the north east is better educated and less dangerous.\nI feel bad for you as this is harsh but even on the news when Americans talk about being the greatest country etc on earth it feels arrogant. I agree with all of your points in this video. While I love this city and I’ve lived here all my life, there’s a lot of things I’m not happy to witness at all. Everything has gone downhill but it’s not making me want to leave T.O. I love almost everything about it but those social issues have just plagued it, even I’m not surprised so many people are moving out. I’d rather stay here and overcome those situations than move because everywhere else is so expensive Your opinions are transparent otherwise and yes, it might be the effects of post-covid. I wish things were a lot better than now but, it will just take time.

At least from what I have seen in Ghana, people are starting businesses.\n\nI am going to say something I observed about Ghana. I found out that women, as usual, are more hard-working. I realised that the men don't have work because they are lazy or have too much pride. I have watched so many videos where so many business owners complain about the ineffectiveness and inefficiencies of the workers. They are not dedicated when they work for other people. I watched these business owners whose workers in the farms are mostly women, and they were very happy that women are easier to control and have good work ethics as opposed to men. The men prefer jobs where they don't use their energies such as Yahoo Yahoo boys, selling in shops where they don't touch anything or lift a finger.\n\nGrowing up, we knew that men were supposed to do the hard-working jobs in society. But these days, men like to idle around and touch nothing. The reasons being that the African culture teaches us that men are not supposed to do anything at home. They are supposed to be served by women. Then, instead of the men going out there to do the hard work and make the money, they wait around expecting cushy jobs that don't make them lift a finger.\n\nLook at China that you mentioned. These boys work absolutely hard. Even in the villages. Look at Muslim countries. You will never see women working on the streets. The men are even the ones who cook the food on the streets and sell. Check countries like Pakistan, Bangladesh, and Sri Lanka. In Africa, most things are done by women.\n\nAll this japa that people are fighting for. Have we ever thought of the agenda of these people needing free and cheap labour? I came to realise that we stupid Africans don't yet understand. Our children eventually become strangers, and we remain just surrogate parents. Most of our children are never going back to Africa, and when they get to an age, they become like strangers to us. Whatever we say, they look at us like archaic. What then makes them Africans anyway. We have seen so many of them who barely know their countries of origin and have never ever been there. They do not know their relations. In fifty years' time, that generation has lost their roots, and was that our intentions initially? This all dawned on me recently with my children, and I feel absolutely dejected because they are not interested in our country. All my hard work is gone down the drain, and all that can happen is for us to leave our children behind and live like people who never had children in the first place. For now, most people see it like something to be proud of, and are happy to say ( my children live abroad). Africans are the most stupid people I know, and that is why we are always used for slave labour. Why are they all approving all these visas and allowing all these people to drown at sea? \n\nThese countries allow these fake visas deliberately because they drain African countries to enrich their own since they can't get the minerals easily these days.

Comments from a Canadian. Homeless people are generally concentrated in the larger cities but in the past few years it has become a real problem. It is a real problem for the people when the temperature drops to -30C. Mental wellness is a huge issue. The racism issue is mainly against the indigenous. The doctor migration to the US is a money thing, not better conditions. Getting a family doctor is easy in some places and difficult in others, generally in rural communities. Getting a reference to a specialist is not an issue and I believe this may be a doctor specific issue. If your GP does not refer you, ER will take care of you. The issue with referrals is the triage system that may result in a longer wait to see the specialist. This is in contrast to the US where one can see a specialist very quickly, if one has insurance. In Canada, every citizen and legal resident has the ability to receive medical care as covered by the provincial medical systems which differs from province to province. Many doctors are now offering online communication with your GP and specialist. Your finance comments are inaccurate. There are 5 nation wide banks but there are also nation wide credit unions and provincial banks which in my opinion these tend to offer better service than the big 5 (exclude National Bank, which is big bank but more investment focused). Cell carrier monopolies is a real issue. Cell carriers are recently offering unlimited data, no long distance to the US, etc. Other countries have a definite advantage here. The government has enabled conditions for a new carrier a few times but eventually, these smaller carriers get swallowed up by the big national carriers. More recently Rogers bought out Shaw which limits our choices further. Sales tax is not always 10-15%. In Alberta the sales tax is 5%. Passing courses and evaluations ensures there are standards which is a good thing. Would you want a Civil Engineer designing a road or bridge that is not suitable for the climate? How about a doctor with questionable credentials? Agree with your recommendations for hiring. It is expensive to hire and train a new employee but can be much more expensive to fire an employee. Agree with the housing crisis comments and the reasons. Getting an absent owner to fix a property? This is crazy inaccurate. Multi-dwelling properties have property managers paid to look after the properties regardless of who owns it. While on the average, foreign investment may not seem to contribute to property prices, this is not the case when looking a the local sectors of the big two - Toronto and Vancouver. There was a case in Vancouver where a property with a shack sold for over $1MM. This is not because the house price was unrealistic, but because of the property location and perceived property value. This is a direct result of foreign investment in houses in the Vancouver area resulting in a lack of properties. Many of these foreign owned single family investment properties remain empty most of the year. Another big issue in many Canadian municipalities is the lack of building code enforcement. The laws are in place but not always enforced.

I have lived in different parts of Canada my whole life, but always seem to end up in majority conservative areas. I do not consider myself a conservative. Even though I don't agree with everyone's politics, I can still live here feeling relatively safe and accepted.\nWhen things get a bit much and I feel like maybe home doesn't feel safe or match my values, I never look at the USA as my exit plan. I have considered Sweden, and Finland before anywhere else. I also wonder if it's just the sheer volume of people that Canadians aren't used to when they visit the states. Your population is massive compared to ours, and it's hard to imagine the quality of life that I have here being easy to emulate down there without drastic changes.\nThen there's my vacation and sick time at work. Maternity leaves etc... so many quality of life things to consider. I look at the housing prices and really wish I could get over the other things. Never Ever. I'm aghast at how surprised you are about the people worried about shooting. You keep saying just be strategic where you live. The way things are going with the shootings and how many a day. It will happen in your area to people you know. I'm so shocked how desensitized you are. Wow!! I've traveled and worked in many parts of the USA. In most cases, I've found people to be more friendly, helpful and outgoing than Canadians because we tend to be more reserved.\n\nThe exceptions are when Americans feel afraid or threatened for some reason. Then things get really scary very quickly. The gun culture is one reason for this. At a coffee break in Houston my coworkers started talking about guns because one of them had been held up at gunpoint. His car was in the shop to repair a bullet hole in his front fender. This triggered talk about where people kept their guns at home, in their cars and on their persons. A small pile of 3 handguns ended up on the table while we talked, two of them from women's purses. All but one of the people had never used their guns except at a shooting range. The exception blew out a neighbor's over-loud outdoor speakers with a shotgun. He felt this was justified because he paid his shocked neighbor double the destroyed equipment's value in cash. Most of the Texans didn't agree with him but understood his rationale.\n\nI can handle a rifle and shotgun. Many Canadians hunt, but I can't think of a place in Canada where I could have had this conversation.

I am a Canadian living in the USA the last 8 yrs. I would not move back to Canada. The cost of living in Canada (GTA) is significantly higher than many major cities in the USA. The only thing that Canada has an upper hand on is the universal healthcare. I am sorry guys this one I do not agree with you all.

Whilst I agree with some things you mentioned, let me know where it's better than Canada. I lived in the US and it was no better at all. It was work work work with no life and not much family time. Only very rich people in both Canada and USA don't pay much taxes because of the loopholes. The CRA and IRS mostly go after people who are struggling to put food on the table. \n\nI had a major operation that cost over $350 000,00 in Canada. I don't even know what I would have done if I was in the US with shortfalls, many people go bankrupt due to medical expenses. I am grateful I didn't pay anything. The health issues you mentioned are everywhere due to covid that has ravaged systems in most countries. It is very easy when you are healthy and not faced with a hefty medical bill to say negative stuff. When you are desperate like I was then you count your blessings. \n\nTalk of racism and discrimination, it is everywhere. Since my childhood to being as grown up man in the mid life, Canada is still under the shadow of USA.\n\nTwo things:\nCanada still empty after decades of issuing immigration visas.\nThis video is also a reflection to prove Canada is better than US, but people don't buy this from many years.\n\nI don't agree on education cost, in US there 100s of options to get enrolled in economical schools and to have on campus jobs, which is the way of paying tuition fees. \nA point on weather and living conditions in winter should have been discussed, this is the reason people leave Canada for dealing such a cold.\n\nNice video.

I agree with most of your points, but as a person who immigrated to Canada 23 years ago, I am still happy that i did it, grateful for the opportunities that Canada offered to me, even though i had to work hard for everything. Few points i want to make for those who consider immigrating:\n1. Uprooting yourself from your country, and starting from the bottom in a foreign country is difficult, and not for everyone. Sometimes, when immigrants go back to visit their home countries, they try to present themselves as successful, and tend to exaggerate the positives. Having realistic expectations is crucial, do a thorough research beforehand, prepare yourself, and you will have better chances to succeed.\n2. I also lived in US for almost 2 years: US is better if you want to do business, or if you are highly specialized (IT, healthcare, etc.), but i wouldn't raise children there, even more so if i were a visible minority. \n3. If you are on top of your career at home, think twice before immigrating, unless you find a suitable position before arrival. If you are in a priviledged position, you have connections, doors are opened easily for you, you might find it difficult to adjust without these things. Many people leave their country because of corruption, they will find that they have more opportunities in Canada. \n4. There are some significant differences between provinces in Canada: Quebec offers low university tuition, Alberta offers the best ratio between average income and average housing costs. (You can buy a new house in Edmonton with about 300k) \n5. Canada might not be for those who want to become milionaires in few years, or for those who want a night life like Las Vegas or Ibiza... but if you are a young couple, motivated and hardworking, who want to raise children in a decent environment, to be able to send them to school without fear, Canada might be a good place.

Many leave their own country, and come to Canada BECAUSE of their dislikes; extremism, culture, religion, laws, identity and in some cases backwards thinking; attempt to turn what we in society would consider as sexist, and discriminatory in some examples….\n\n…however when those same individuals finally achieve citizenship, or in some cases this starts (attempt to change Canadian law(s)) before obtaining citizenship, making moves to force the above, everything they despised, hated or disliked about their own country, into this new country ? Its like, the expectation is that we assimilate to them, not that they assimilate to their new chosen country??\n\nIt appears in some cases, going as far as attempting to rationalize why the the very thing they left their own country for, should now be a part of or have a place in Canadian society….where in any place in the World does this happen? I agree with this. Lived in Montréal for 10 years, Quebec has it all. But, moved to New Brunswick for cheaper housing market, visited British Colombia, Manitoba, and Nova Scotia it's all beautiful too, but always love going back to Ontario, so many things to see and do esp if you're a sports fanatic it has (NBA/NHL/MLB etc. Also, I love Alberta for it's majestic scenery esp Banff but I don't like it's politics.

I agree with all the points, but this situation is not only in Canada but everywhere. I will start from my home country India, Since graduation I was working as a part time teacher and I deadly love that profession. To qualify myself I did so many courses, internships, attended workshops, completed my B.Ed and M.Ed but everything went vain when I started searching a job. The amount of hardwork I did was not at all recognizable, salaries were so low but still I worked thinking may be later I will get an opportunity but to a disappointment it never happen. Later, I moved to UAE thinking maybe here atleast I will get what I expected, struggled for 5 months to get a job luckily I was on a family visa. I lowered my expectations, ready to work on the lowest salary but still I did no job. Finally I decided to go back to my home country but was still applying for the jobs thinking to not loose hope till the date of my flight and believe me the next day I got a call and got selected the same day with an average package not the lowest but still I was happy. So I think difficulties are everywhere it depends on how you are dealing with them and mostly being positive is the main key for success. Even I am deciding to immigrate Canada, have many friends their who are happy with their lives but it doesn't mean I should keep my hopes high but the best thing I can do is accepting whatever is coming to me and being grateful of whatever I have. (BTW teachers are underrated everywhere)

I agree with this law. For safety reasons. I have a few muslim women friends including two females family members that are muslim and they dont cover their faces. They also agree with this law. we all have the right to see the face of whom is around us. I also know one woman that is not muslim but dresses and covers her face like one. Why she does that I and my neighbours dont know why. She does not talk to anyone about it and only dresses that way when she goes out of the neighbourhood. What are her intentions to do such thing? She is portuguese does not speak arabic only portuguese and broken inglish. When we ask her why she does that we are told to mind our business. We feel that it is our business because she is very strange and like i said before she only dresses that way when she goes out of the area that she lives in. What is she up too? And like her how many more is out there doing this and why? Whthout any offence to the muslim people SAFETY should come first to everyone.
