I’ve been waiting for my husbands marriage visa for 14 months freezing the legal visa processes for Colombians who are married to a U.S. disabled veteran citizen born and raised in the Midwest is wrong. I pray the President restarts processing legal visas for this married to U.S. citizens \nI am not able to walk well and my only caregiver is my husband so I’m stuck in colombia until my husbands visa is approved. Most people here hate President Petro he has ruined the country and now he is ruining it more we can’t speak out against him but my husband and his family do not support the President of colombia and a ton don’t believe he actually won the election. Colombia has always been a close ally I hope the CIA and Delta Force can fix things in Colombia returning to Uribe and strong U.S. allies. I live in Canada. A citizen now, love this country but India is and will always be a home. Canada is facing hard times currently, which is being faced by every country now and then but even the cause root of all these problems Canada is facing right now is coming from somehow from India. The most disruptive and disturbing people are here from India only with no civic sense. They come here and do not value the Canadian culture at all. They do all sort of illegal activities and try to do jugaad in everything, from which we escaped from India. Even on political grounds, the man who somehow messed up everything was under the influence and pressure of the man having Indian roots. I love India without a doubt but we can’t deny the real facts why Indians are being hated everywhere. People in my community here ( whites, First Nations, old Indians) love me and my family because they know how we respect the culture and values and laws of Canada. But there, where people don’t know us personally, we get judgemental eyes because of our colour and we know why, it’s not all of us, but still majority of us have destroyed the image of India and yes Indians deserve to be banned now. We need skills and knowledge and we should class apart from the stupid ones.

I don't care what anyone says, but Indian people, particularly (Punjabs) don't like to mixed with other cultures at all. They don't integrate with the Canadian lifestyle. They don't worked very hard, they are rude, they have no respect for other nationalities, racist as fuck, and the list goes on. I am a transplanted American who moved to Canada snd have never regretted it or looked back. Canada just tries harder to get it right. Doesn't always succeed but who does? I have lived snd worked all over the world on every continent except Antarctica and nowhere--NOWHERE- have I met people who hate their fellow citizens the way Americans do. This is me a decade ago moving from Phils to Canada. I never felt at home in the country of my birth — I hated the traffic and the monsoon rains (it can rain for months). I know a lot of nationalities rave about our tropical country & beautiful beaches but it also has become unaffordable for us the citizens. We became Canadians 5 yrs ago & have grown from 4 to 6 (2 Canada born kids) & now have 2 properties. It has worked for us but it was also not easy uprooting our lives & starting over. I don’t think we will ever find our home anywhere. Previously my husband and I also lived in the US (before kids). It is truly a privilege to be here but I always feel I am sojourner, always traveling & always searching. I hope you find your peace wherever life takes you. Hello Sir, with due respect: i am an international student from INDIA, you are always welcome to stay in any of the 30 provinces in India! My question to you is, if an International student is spending 7000 cad each semester and completing a 2 yr program with total fee paid 28000 to 35000 CAD excluding the exorbitant rent like 1500 per month and grocery and personal tax, would definitely wish to get back some of the money they invested here in Canadian land, am i right? Would you be thinking the same way if you invest in India? Secondly, none of the employers are offering any white collar job or office job to these students unless otherwise they have Permanent Residency status here in Canada: the only way to get “PR” is to work for some pizza store or tim hortons- its not by choice, only jobs you have here in Canada for any students and now construction field too. So kindly don’t judge any international student from any part of the world on their skills. All we need is a way out by Planning our future. Lots of comments are on these kids: just imagine on a sports day or a national holiday or on a stormy day who will be serving you a double double? If you wouldn't do something it in your own home, you shouldn't do anywhere else. It's because of people like these all the Indians receive hate. People like me who genuinely care about education and respect the Canadian Culture suffer. Although I am glad that most of the Canadians that I have came across till now have been able to understand how different I am from the bad experiences they've had in the past and treat me well. I am grateful for this opportunity that I have received.

Canada is not Canada I grew up with. I no longer feel welcome or wanted in Canada. I feel like not only does my government not care about me, but that htey activity make decisions purposely to hurt me because they think its funny. I honestly feel bullied by my government.\n\nMy rent has doubled in 5 years. My food bills has doubled in the same time. Yet I still make the same per hour as I did 5 years ago. My parks are always full of needles and drug paraphernalia and druggies, my schools are teaching my kids to hate their own skin color and feel shame about the past, the police dont do anything when I get assaulted.

It is law of the land, like it or not just accept it. I did my masters from United States, and later worked there for a decade. As person born in India, I can never get green card of the United States. After leaving to India for good, I realized I cannot adjust in India, US would never accept me, so I came to Canada. But like every person who moved from US to Canada, not a day goes without missing the US. People in Canada are amazed why I left US and came to Canada. People from other country of birth can easily get US green card and eventually citizenship, but I can never get one. So should I start hating the US? Nope. I am grateful to US for everything. I came from a poor family in India, with less than 8000 USD in my parents saving. I studied in US free of cost sponsored by research grants, did top notch academic research, and worked on top notch industrial research. Due to which I had no issues finding job in India, and directly got interview and job offer in Canada, Sweden and UK while sitting at my home in India.\nUS would always be my home, does not matter I have a green card or not. I would always remember US and miss it, in good memory.

coming here not work is not the issue, driving down the wages, doing sub-standard work and only hiring there own people is. come to Canada and compete on the open market as everyone else is acceptable the cream will always rise to the top and the most skilled will always prevail. this is not what we see when you go work what we see is employers refusing fair wages, employers deny workers rights someone desperate and inexperienced will do it instead. I don't hate east indians i have many as friends and even they know that the government is using them as a weapon against the people in order to own us all ( at least the ones the gov can't murder) i hope people don't fall for this obvious trap. I also hope the people coming from India will stop allowing themselves to be used against us. please stay there and deal with your own corruption that destroys your own nation so we can deal with are own corrupt gov and oligarch master wanna be's.

I left Canada finally after many many years of debating for myself. It’s the best thing I ever did. I have a really good job, that pays me more than three times my monthly overhead. After literally struggling in Canada for 30+ years as an adult trying to keep a job amongst colleagues that hate you for everything that I was and wasn’t, had and didn’t have. I’m very happy that I left and can go to work peacefully everyday, without needing to feel like I’m a piece of crap that doesn’t have the right to exist. I came to Canada at age 12 with my parents. And was always called names, always under minded, overlooked, put down, bullied and never had a single job that also contributed to my pension. When I left Canada, immigration Canada emailed me daily for three months telling me to come back to Canada IMMEDIATELY lol. Because my home country wasn’t safe enough to live in. I’m from Belgium. It’s much safer, friendlier, empathic and prosperous than Canada ever was

It is sooo cliche to hate on landlords. I rent, and my landlord is a great person. He's rare I admit, but it is not always the landlord. Something needs to be done to protect landlords as well.

As a person that grew up around Muslims and have Muslims in my family, the Middle East has never gotten along with each other way before the west came to that region.
