I don't understand why any of the citizens of NYC would vote for this governer. Wake up people and remove her from office. For anyone feeling empathy for the people trying to force their way into our country, I can understand that, intellectually, but imagine this was your individual HOME. Imagine a family of 5, who you have never met before, shows up at your door and just pushes their way in, with every intent on staying there for the rest of their lives. No, that is not how immigration, or house guests, works.

If anyone knew how bad and unsafe life is in Juarez Mexico you wouldn't blame people from trying to run out of there. With the drug violence it's normal to just see dead bodies hanging from the side of a freeway together or laying on the streets. It's normal for young women to be kidnapped and killed. Normal for even the reporters reporting on the cartels to be killed. Many people don't even feel safe leaving their homes. Given half a chance I would try to run in there too but I understand the concern that we just can't let so many people in our country. I see both sides.

This is really sad becuase life after deportations is tough for somebody who was raised in USA. I was taken to the U.S. as a baby and grew up there, but at 19, I was sent back to Mexico—a country I had no memory of, no connections in, and barely spoke the language. My entire family had migrated when I was little, so I was left to figure everything out on my own.\n\nComing back felt like being thrown into an unfamiliar world. I wasn’t fluent in Spanish, had a weird accent, and my mindset was completely different from those who grew up in Mexico. I used to be outgoing and got along with everyone, but now I’ve become more introverted. I struggle to relate to people, have trouble socializing, and often feel like I don’t belong. I feel completely alone, with no one to talk to in person because everyone sees me as an outsider. Many even think I’m a terrible person for coming back after being raised in the very place they dream of moving to.\n\nMaking friends has been challenging too. Many assume that because I grew up in the U.S., I have more money, and friendships often come with the expectation that I’ll pay for everything.\n\nOn top of that, daily life is a struggle. Renting a place is extremely difficult because I don’t have a co-signer from Mexico, and they won’t accept one from the U.S. Getting legal documents like a passport is nearly impossible because my parents haven’t been in the Mexican system for over 19 years, and officials tell me they have no way to prove who I am. Unlike in the U.S., where there are laws against discrimination, I face rejection at every turn here.\n\nThis life is hard. I wish my family had never migrated—or at least had done so after I was old enough to understand the risks and what could happen in the future.

This is so sad……I feel for some of the migrants but they must also understand that America needs to be protected and borders exist for a reason. I hope those for whom there is a genuine need to migrate are able to do so legally.

Any one praising Trump for his atrocious actions does not understand the implications of his intention to roll back everyones civil rights. He wont stop with the transgender community. We need an inclusive military and trans people are the latest group to hit the glass ceiling. Women in the 90s and black folks in the 40s had to overcome prejudice from within the armed services but have proven our military is more dynamic and innovative when we have diversity in leadership. ACLU is challenging these transphobic executive orders in court if you feel inclined to support them. We must fight against hatefulness and ignorance on every front including this one.

Every business in the country is hiring. And you get paid for the work you do. And the harder you work and the more you learn, the faster you will advance, and the more you will earn. It's an amazing concept.\n\n3. Understand that if you are a U.S. Citizen, or have already started the legal process to become a U.S. Citizen that you are not going to get deported! I don't care what your favorite liberal media channel says.\n\n4. Tariffs are a bargaining chip. When you are in business you make deals, and sometimes you have to play hardball. That's how you get the deals you desire.\n\n5. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 protects you from discrimination by age, sex, race, etc. DEI openly violates this. Democrats want you to believe the opposite is true because they value your vote more than your quality of life.\n\n6. It's not the government's money, it's your money. You absolutely should give a damn about how it is spent.\n\n7. We are not the World Bank. If other countries need help they should raise their own finances. Honestly how is it possible that almost all of Trump's supporters lack critical thinking, they are just emotional babies like him. How is it hard to think that having such Tariffs affects consumer price at the same rate. How dumb can you be not to see this? I also understand other countries to denay the landing of military planes without schedule or agreed up on time and place. How would US feel if another country just sends their military plane without any information . This is wild.

I don't understand why India has to be so reliant on foreign countries. Especially with so many young and talented kids joining the workforce. Indians are smart people, and are bright and talented, and should focus on making work/life conditions better in their own country and focus on the growth of their own country. It's not like we lack intelligence, or culture, or values. I don't like this constant feeling of rejection if visa gets denied to move to a foreign country. Oh we can quadruple our income in a foreign country and send money home. Make changes in India to facilitate that, and not have to feel reliant on a foreign country to make that happen. It's time to make other countries want to come to India for a better future..

I’ve had personal experiences where I’ve struggled to connect with some Indians at work and felt excluded. While I try to remain polite and professional, these repeated interactions have left me with mixed feelings. I understand the importance of diversity and cultural inclusion, but I believe there also needs to be mutual respect and effort from everyone involved for integration to work. It’s not about banning anyone but fostering better understanding and collaboration.

It's easy to understand this. Indians love to leave their country behind and settle in New land. They bring with them some behaviors that are eye brow raising. Coupled with the sheer number of people that come from India, it feels like an infestation.

It's very contradicting to hear that Hindus are the most law-abiding citizens, highly educated, good jobs, helping in their society. And now, I am wondering who these Nepotism ones are using Indian passports and from where the negative accusations are from. Who are the culprits in these cases, and don't forget there is also lots of hate created toward Hindus, their way of life, temples, being headans, not belonging to the abrahamic majority in any of those countries.\nMy sincere advice, don't visit abrahamic countries at all. They have broken, severed, you from your own culture, taught you to be like them, yet they all refuse you like you should not exist, not someone or something like them. There is very slim chance that the flight attendant can get the PR through the skill migrant program in Australia. Canada is now getting into the trouble similar to the sub-prime crisis in US 15 years ago: too many people who are not the qualified immigrants arrived to Canada in past 2 years. They are leaving because the minimal hourly wages cannot support their living in the big cities like Toronto and Vancouver. \n2. High income tax ? In UK the top tax bucket is well over 40%. In Australia you need to pay 45% income tax plus 2% medical Levy surcharge\n3. High cost of living? I think the cost of living in London of UK and Sydney of Australia are also exceptionally high. The cost of living affordability depends on the income of the migrants. Low income working class will feel the cost of living and housing pressure. But this applies to all countries, including SF of US, Toronto of Canada, Sydney of Australia, London of UK\n4. Rise in crime: I do not understand this logic as the migrants left Canada to US - the city of LA, New York, Seattle and Chicago are far worse than in Canada \n5. Limited Career opportunities: the only country that has better career opportunities is US. What are the main reasons for those who are not migrating to US?\n\nIn summary, all the above points are not the main reasons. The main reason is the liberal government. Canada had taken a large number of wrong low end migrants in wrong time. Don't feel sad everything will turn out to be good. The same thing is happening everywhere in the workplace nowadays as it is comman and it we stand against it they say that we are immature and can't understand it. Even same thing happened to me did extra hours of work but still said it is not enough and did others work as well and they complained that i didn't complete everything on time. You might be surprised to realize how shifted left our systems range politically is from the American one. \n\nThis hugely impacts the average normal expectation , what we clutch our pearls at hearing coming out of the mouths of the general public , and our range of what we expect to not hear or see ranted about unless they’re to our view , extremely right leaning politically /social values. \n\nFor us this means that actually genuinely , a lot of America does get experiences by us as bat shit crazy racist homophobic immigrant intolerant culturally and religiously ignorant , and somewhat backwards in larger or smaller amounts ? I know that’s not fun to hear but. Being the most diverse country based so much on immigration means. What is normal and known /familiar and normal so we aren’t ignorant to , is completely different. \n\nFor us we have our pockets usually in more rural less populated areas further away from larger cities where there is more diversity but that’s the same often in many countries that you will find some of the louder racist homophobic intolerant voices typically in places that truly are unfamiliar and ignorant to the experience of growing up with and around much of any diversity of varying kinds. So it’s not to say we don’t have racism and intolerance of course like anywhere we do. It’s just contained and the range and frequency and intensity is MUCH different. We distinguish nuances of diff cultures and religions more easily and in larger numbers we’re more familiar with diff ways of life , language , food, dress , holidays , values and used to a much less segregated way of existing even when we are differnt from each other as the NORM. My parents were both born in the states and my older brother was born there but they moved up here when he was a baby. So nearly all my extended family lives down there and I’m a duelly. And my experiences discussing things with my cousins or visiting absolutely could be described as culture shock at times. The insane things that came out of my own cousins mouths when they hear our friends or partners of various cultures , our not understanding how big a deal and incredibly insulting apparently it is to have assumed someone American was lgbt lol the list goes on. Like I don’t think our most intolerant Pockets can hold a flame to even ur closet to middle a bit intolerant places and contexts in America. Quite honestly. \n\nI think the absolute undying favourable passionate upholding and support of nationalistic, capitalist, hyper individualistic mentality about society as a whole (from my Canadian born and bred perspective lol) makes the differences even more glaring blaring and hard to swallow for us lol. I think more Canadians would feel exactly how that comment stated , that you felt was not fair for us to experience America as. I think the truth is a lot of Canadians are being too polite to let you know that’s exactly how a lot of America comes off to a lot of Canada ?

I'm a newcomer, and I agree with the points, and I see that people are blaming immigrants in general, but they don't think in the structural flaws that we have in the government system, I found a shame the public transportation in some of the biggest cities and in other public services, and I found that could be easier the validation of diplomos, we have doctors and engineers driving uber, because they can't work in their profession, and I feel that they are putting limits in the immigrants from one side, but they have no limits in refugees, I understand that they need help but should have a limit that the structure can hold.

Politicians always play safe for their benefits, but any native should never feel a stranger in their own hometown, it's a nightmare, I'm an Indian, from Kerala, I can't think of feeling and outsider in Kerala, so totally understand what people feel in any part of the world. But don't you think, any outsiders coming and occupying the masses seems like a problem with the efficiency of people there, even here in Kerala we used to speak of Tamil population in early 80s and now Bengalis occupying our street, but can we actually blame them? I would say no, we didn't do our job, they came and did the job and now they are in huge numbers. The same happens anywhere in the world. You don't do your job right, someone will come down the job and probably occupy a heart share of the city gradually, for malayalis Kochi esp Aluva is a real time case study for the same.

I am a skilled worker (an engineer), I graduated from a master's in Germany and speak fluent german. Housing is one of the negative points I can mention. Another one is the waiting times for a document work at Ausländerbehörde. Here in Stuttgart it is the worst as far as I see. \nAnother thing I dont like is to pay so much to the health insurance and at the end you even cannot get an appointment when you have a tooth ache for instance. \nAnother rather cultural difficulty is that you cannot find a place in the society, Germans do not make friends and when you only make friends with expats then it does not feel you are a part of the society. At least from my understanding.\n\nPositively enough, I have not yet faced racism in my daily life etc. \n\nI would be thinking to leave Germany one day maybe, but for another german speaking country probably.

Thank you for summarizing these key changes! Many problems are actually the Canadian immigration system not learning from the mistakes of the US system and now it’s suffering the same consequences. If Canada cuts down on those selected immigrations but still takes in refugees, it’s only going to make anti-immigrant sentiment worse. Selected immigrants are allowed into Canada to help alleviate Canadian issues…or at least people who come through Express Entry are less likely to become a burden. On the other hand, refugees, given their unfortunate circumstances, really need to rely on a lot of social services and resources to help them resettle. The US has eliminated pretty much all non-humanitarian immigration that’s why immigrants are so demonized there. Americans only feel the drags of refugees and asylum seekers (even though ethically we need to protect them) and there is no selected immigration to balance that out. Yet this round of Canadian policy change is heading exactly that direction.\n\nIt used to be international students in Canada are not paying a lot more tuition than Canadian students. But Canadian universities saw how much money universities in the US are making so they asked the federal government to change the policy to enable them to charge international students several times the regular tuition (whereas in countries like France, international students actually pay less than citizens). So now Canadian universities rely too much on international students to operate and it becomes an exploitative relationship even before students step foot on the campus. The new PGWP eligibility is awful because students can make contributions in every field. It might (and that's a big if) address the pressing problems, but it won't help Canada grow.\n\nI thought the new language requirement was interesting. Some Canadians who immigrated decades ago when the bar was really low still speak English poorly and now they are saying people can’t come to Canada because their language skills are not sufficient. Another point about language is if you apply through Express Entry now, even if you scored the highest language score, given how competitive the pool is, you still won’t get selected. So it’s a given that you need to be fluent in one of the languages at least to get an invitation. Express Entry also selects only the top people, I saw the head of The Institute for Canadian Citizenship in interviews talking about those top-tier people only expect the best treatment/lifestyle when they come to Canada. That's why many of them leave after seeing these Canadian problems play out. But I believe a good Canadian life is not about living in a high rise in Vancouver and Toronto, driving an expensive car, or buying luxury items...it's about the communities, nature and middle-class comfort. So the system is giving PRs to the wrong kind of people (just like mismatched people when hiring that don't align with company values).\n\nThis brings me to the last frustrating issue. There were so many people who attended “fake” universities and bought “fake” jobs to earn points to get an Express Entry invitation. And it's clear that the government wasn't proactively catching these abuses. They are taking up spots from those who try to earn the points fair and square. If I understand correctly, Canada doesn’t send these people away if they are found out (since some of them were scammed). So they still take up immigration quotas.\n\nI have wanted to move to Canada for a long time. I have visited Canada many times, hiking trails through the coastline and fjords, climbing mountains and glaciers. I lived in Montreal for two months to improve my French and I was told by my homestay family that I was the first student they had who didn’t complain about the cold (I wish the winter never ends so I can skate or xc ski in the parks year-round). I have probably seen more Canada than many Canadians and I love every bit of it. But the opportunity for me to even get a shot to move there is pretty much nonexistent now. If only there was a way for the system to allow people who really care about Canada to get a shot at being part of this beautiful country.\n\nThank you for making these videos.

I understand traveling for years outside Canada for the last decade will put you far out of the Candian market. If you followed the traditional work-invest in Canada approach you might feel different. As a baby boomer, I am set and my nieces and nephews who have entered the market early, they all have homes. If you are just coming to Canada now, blame the Trudeau immigration plan that has overwhelmed the system. In 5 to 10 years we may have caught up, I will be gone but the current immigrants will be in good shape. Leaving now will just put you further behind in Canada unless you can find some place that will pay you an outrageous salary and no taxes. Good luck.
