Why is it that everyone outside of America has an expectation on how we should be that benefits them. This can has been kicked down the road for multiple decades. The waste, fraud, and abuse we are uncovering in the government. The situation with NATO and Ukraine and no one can fix their problems or issues without the US. We have aggressive homelessness, poverty, poor education system, high taxes, and a government that in the past has done nothing but pimp our tax dollars out just for kickbacks. Everyone is pissing and moaning about our domestic problems while also having an extremely high bar on the international stage. I have never received aid from the UN, never receive money from other countries, nor assistance. Is no one in America tired of this? Here we are talking about Bourbon tax….lol. A great reset needs to happen and though I do not like it, it is happening and I am here for it. BTW I love Canada and Mexico and believe at best that if we pull out of NATO I would still hope we can have an Americas/Mexico treaty.

Hell no! It’s a fun place to visit, I love Florida California. I’m looking forward to going to the Carolinas, but I would never move there permanently. I came to Canada in 1989 with my twin sister. I haven't left Canada ever since I came in. My twin sister left Canada for good in 2023. I did not come to Canada because I needed more money. I came to Canada because I did not have a country. Canada became my home country but the crazy thing is I don't recognize the Canada I knew over the years. Many people came to Canada to take advantage of this wonderful nation. My beloved city of Toronto turned into a third world country. I'm now in Alberta where I work hard and pay my taxes. My Canada is a paradise on earth. My Canada deserves people who loves it. I had my hardship in my early years and that was what I had to go through. Hello Anna and Anastasia your channel is truly a hidden gem full of useful information and insight. I am an international student myself and I agree with all your points in the video, Canada used immigration to fix a deeper problem and that is its difficulty to incentivize the economy by having a heavily regulated environment, high taxes and low productivity. It will definitely alleviate some of the pressure on the system but, the real cause is still there. The first sector that is going to be affected will be the education as colleges and universities became over reliant with the revenue coming from Int. Students (which is not particularly small) and institution will need to adapt. When I first came here I fell in love with the country and I really feel fortunate to enjoy this beautiful place and doing everything to assimilate and integrate myself into the culture. I think here you can have a sense of hope of things improving in the future (something that is not the case in my home country) but if they do not fix the underlying problem it does not matter how much immigration they reduce, Canadians will not see a significant improvement. Keep the awesome work!!!

Someone should let them know that so called better life is not waiting for them in Canada at least. We have plenty of our own political tensions, we're taxed to death, probably have the worst health care system in the world, extremely high cost of living, everything is expensive, the only jobs available are part time, crappy overpriced food, a housing crisis and brutal winters every single year.. Nothing but pissed off, miserable people here. Many Canadians I know have moved to India and love it. I have ethnic background from Hong Kong and have been living in Canada for almost 40 years. I love Canada and am proud of this beautiful country. However, I think part of the immigration problem we have is the ongoing issue of allowing dual citizenship of everyone who have become a Canadian citizen. I have personally known lots of HK immigrants who would return to their own countries to work as soon as they have got their Canadian passports. Normally one of the parents would stay with their children here for free schooling, medical care and child tax benefits. Their children will follow their parents to go back to HK after they graduated from universities in order to avoid the higher income tax . Unfortunately, those parents will come back to retire in Canada so that they can get free health care benefits and OAS once they have fulfilled the residency requirement of 10 years. Canada do need more skilled and educated immigrants to make our country more prosperous but not those who try to take advantage of our lenient immigration policies. I think we should take back the passports of those who have left Canada for more than 2 years or those who have evaded taxes so that we do not continue to support those never contributed to our country. PS, I mentioned about HK only because of my origin and I believe the same problem would be caused by immigrants from other countries too.

Here are some clarifications to note:\n\n\n1. In the last six years, 1.5 million international students brought a minimum of $67,500,000,000 direct cash into the Canadian economy. (Assuming a min $40-45000 per student for 2 year diploma, between to $100,000 - 150,000 for undergrad, and around $50,000 for Masters degrees). Usually, international students have to pay most of this money before applying for the study visa. \n\n\n2. These colleges employ Canadians for their day to day operations. From cleaning, maintainance, administration to teaching, each college operates with approx 20-30million budget. So, more students lead to more employment for Canadians who further pay taxes.\n\n\n3. All students start work straightaway, pay taxes, and do not qualify for social security. They do not qualify for any student loans by Canadian govt or banks. So, they generate revenue for Canada through their work and taxes. The thing that govt LOVES.\n\n\n4. These students become new consumers and their expenditure generate revenues for local businesses.\n\n\n5. Most Colleges would not survive without international students. Which is good in the sense that only quality colleges will survive and other hanky panky colleges would shut down. However, such closures will lead to job losses, bankruptcy when the colleges won't be able to afford their expenses.\n\n\nSo, considering these factors it will be an industry collapse. Govt needs to control immigration. They need to introduce intelligent policies. The steps that current govt is currently taking are politically motivated not rational.

I am a born and raised Canadian and have seen my country go downhill for at least the last couple of decades.\nHealth Care: doctors and nurses are moving Stateside in droves. No, the US doesn’t have universal health care but there are insurance plans and the care is enormously better. My girlfriend had 4th stage throat cancer. In Calgary the doctors at some point told her there was nothing more they could do for her and to get her affairs in order. Her father sent her to the Anderson Clinic in Houston - yes it was expensive but they treated her, saved her life and that was 24 years ago. \nIt’s common in our emergency rooms to wait up to 12 hours to be seen. \nOur system isn’t progressive and doctors and nurses don’t get paid near as well as in the States. That being said, I am happy that I don’t have to pay to see the doctor or have a stay in the hospital. \nCost of Living: Once upon a time it was good - housing was cheap and many companies had the full range of benefits and salaries were equal to the cost of living. Now these same companies have stripped the benefits by hiring people under contract so they don’t have to give them benefits. \nRents are through the roof and in Calgary there are no rent caps. Buying a decent house in a decent neighbourhood is impossible unless you inherit or make a six figure income. This, in no small part, has created a homelessness crisis that never had been seen in such numbers before. Crime also is getting worse by the day. Canada was once known as a safe country. This is no longer the case.\nEverything is very expensive and the tax very high. Plus, we have to suffer winter! Where I live, the joke is that we have two seasons - July and winter!\nI still like my city (not love) but I am retired and own two houses - one inherited and the other bought when it was affordable (32 years ago). Calgary would not be a place I would live if I was a newcomer. Vancouver is beautiful but you really pay for it. \nTrudeau has helped make a big mess of things with immigration and lax criminal laws. My beef is not with immigrants I must state - it is with the lack of jobs for them when they come, thereby forcing bad living conditions and an over reliance on the social systems. I add that the immigration population is much more willing to work in jobs they have to take (despite a high education) than our natural and bloated citizens.\nSo yes, Canada has increasingly gone downhill. On a positive note, hand guns at least are not legal and our country has beautiful natural land.

My daughter is nearing the end of 2 great years in Canada on an IEC (backpacker) visa from Australia. She’s loved the people, the landscape (mostly lived in BC and Alberta) , and working there…. She picked up interesting jobs, worked very hard, just about made ends meet, has been great. \n\nShe was even offered a permanent job by a major Canadian co last year (she was working for them on a one year role at the time) that would’ve paved the way for her to apply for PR…but she turned it down without a second thought….. for all the reasons you would know about \n\n- Wages aren’t great (maybe 20% less than australia), \n\n- taxes are high (incl having to pay CPP…in australia the employer pays all pension contributions, on top of wages), \n\n- groceries prices out of kilter, \n\n- rents consume most of what’s left…. \n\n- AND, even if you could save a deposit for a house, or shoebox apartment….what’s the point, could never afford it. \n\nShe’s seen nearly all her Canadian friends resigned to their fate of being perennial renters, of being perpetually skint. It’s no life. She’s sad to see it - coming from a country of perpetual optimism and opportunity, to learn over time how such a (on many levels) similar country isn’t like that, that has somehow got it all so wrong. \n\nIf you are thinking of “australia” as your answer, it’d be a fair call\n\n- Avoid Sydney if you can (a less expensive Vancouver) but rest of the place is “workable”. \n\n- Average wage in Perth is $100k (C$90k) and average house (full size…not an apt or townhouse) price is about $700k (C$630k) …so do-able, if tight to start with, for youngsters (like you..!) \n\n- I’ve been to Vancouver’s East Hastings St, and so can confirm is nowhere close to that in Oz. Are sketchy parts of all cities, but it’s definitely not community wide\n\n- are small pockets of homelessness (esp but not only indigenous community) but the governments are mostly (sort of…) “on it” \n\n- sun, sea, sand… and the sharks rarely come close to shore!

I can tell you one of the major reasons. It is the fact that these immigrants from India do not want to assimilate into Canada. Instead they bring their ways with them into Canada and some of those “ways”, are not acceptable in Canada. One example of that is the whole using the bathroom on the beach. But one that hits hard for me is the insane amount of immigrants that are harvesting spawning salmon with nets, without any of the properly paperwork that is needed to fish salmon with a rod. Using a net is illegal, I know they know it because when I catch them doing this. They become quiet and all of a sudden, after hearing them just speaking English, they pretend they do not know English… I can tell you this is all true. The other thing I have seen with my eyes is shop lifting from the local grocery store. I have never seen that before, not ever in all my years living here. It would be somewhat different if they were stealing essential items and essential foods. But they are not doing that, they are stealing all the luxury items. I am a white Canadian and I am proud of it, but guess what. I am also proud of the fact that I have a doctor that came from India and his family is thriving here. It makes me proud that he chose our country try to come to, with his educational background, it also makes me proud that he and his family have taken the time to try and assimilate into our culture. When I say assimilate by the way, I do not want them or and immigrant to completely abandon their cultures, I just would prefer it if they assimilate to the point where we can have a healthy community instead of all these separate cultural areas in our towns and cities. I love the fact that you spoke some harsh truths here sir, much respect to you and your family sir. I hope you can continue making such informative videos for people to learn from. The other thing I have to add is that the word racism is thrown around too much and too easily in our current woke cultural climate here in Canada and this is just making the immigration issues worse because it produces a culture of fear for those Canadians that would like to help educate those immigrants that need help. But they do not do so because they are afraid of being labeled a racist or some other word and having their livelihoods and overall lives ruined. I am in a position in life where I do not care if people want to say such things about me. I am also well educated and in the position to come up with well articulated arguments in my defence. My main issue with immigration that bothers me more than the rest not only affects us Canadians but also affects the immigrants as well. Ok so before mass immigration was a thing here in Canada our healthcare system that we all used to be extremely proud of the as showing too many cracks and we knew it was falling apart. You think the government would place more funding into the healthcare system. Well that has not happened and if anything they have taken more funds away from our healthcare system than any other time in our country’s history. So before the mass immigration begun we had a major issue with having way too many patients and not enough medical staff to adequately treat everyone in a timely and healthy manner. So now think about that, the healthcare system was already stressed with the current population before mass immigration. How do you think adding waves and waves of more people every year via mass immigration is affecting that system? The answer is this… if the system was stressed beforehand, it is collapsing now. I am one of the lucky few that has a family doctor right now. It takes three months the just for me to see her… If I have an emergency and have to call 911, the ambulance will take me up to the local ER and then I will be wheeled out to the waiting room, which defeats the purpose of me calling 911 for a ambulance. I have waited two days at the local ER just to see a doctor. So here is where it affects the immigrants coming in. If a Canadian that was here before you is already having major issues with the healthcare, then I can only imagine how hard it will be for a new citizen to our country, nuff said really… the local er near me had a person die in the waiting room this past January. Add to this fact that I am actually pretty sick at the moment and so are my parents and you can understand why I am upset about our failing healthcare system. The politicians do not have to worry about our such issues though because they can afford to pay to go outside of Canada and pay cold hard cash for medical treatment. That is why they do not mind removing funds from our healthcare system, it will not affect them and they get to line their pockets with more of our tax money… I honestly place most of the blame for what is going on right now on Trudeau’s government and not the immigrants. The immigrants could help make this crappy situation a lot better for both of our parties though if they tried a little harder to adapt to our ways of life here. When in Canada try to live like a Canadian, I do not think that is asking much. Again, as for racism, I believe in judging a person by their actions and not by the colour of their skin. Racism is such an antiquated way of thinking… Our skin colours maybe different, just like our cultural backgrounds, but after all is said and done we are all members of the human race. Hello Sir, with due respect: i am an international student from INDIA, you are always welcome to stay in any of the 30 provinces in India! My question to you is, if an International student is spending 7000 cad each semester and completing a 2 yr program with total fee paid 28000 to 35000 CAD excluding the exorbitant rent like 1500 per month and grocery and personal tax, would definitely wish to get back some of the money they invested here in Canadian land, am i right? Would you be thinking the same way if you invest in India? Secondly, none of the employers are offering any white collar job or office job to these students unless otherwise they have Permanent Residency status here in Canada: the only way to get “PR” is to work for some pizza store or tim hortons- its not by choice, only jobs you have here in Canada for any students and now construction field too. So kindly don’t judge any international student from any part of the world on their skills. All we need is a way out by Planning our future. Lots of comments are on these kids: just imagine on a sports day or a national holiday or on a stormy day who will be serving you a double double? Who will do Uber… Please dont hate, just like any human we would love to be respected and we are not going to take back anything from Canada. Thank you

He is a far right ideologist from the Conservative party's fringe. His methods are fear mongering and repetitive falsehoods. \nThe U.S was always cheaper to live than Canada, but you get here is universal health care and free public education for all. Affordable kindergarten and many other social services that are common in Europe, but not in the U.S.A. and yes, we pay higher taxes than our neighbor in the south. Public services and social benefits doesn't come free.\nYou don't have to pay for your garbage to be picked up by a private contractor, or pay a monthly fee, for an ambulance or fire services, like in the U.S. Even criminals are send to subsidies Indigenous healing centers instead of private jails for profit, like in the U.S.A. \nAmerica is not a country, it's a business. Anyone who thinks that this is the correct model for a country doesn't know better and should look at some of the leading countries in Europe.\nCanada is one of the best countries to live in the world and if it wasn't for the Corona virus outbreak, we wouldn't have the economic hardship we are facing today.\nLike any other country, we have our challenges and there's always room to improve.\nPollierve cheap propaganda is not the answer. Why indians love to migrates western countries . india after its indpendence 75 years still backwards due to corrupt politicians big business families monopoly. They are having lavish life reason is current generation of india is cowards they don't ask anything about their rights. How long and how many migrants they will take one day it has to happened. The indigenous citizens are angry coz indians are taking their jobs and enjoying the benefits of their government which indian government don't give even after higher taxing.

This is ridiculous. The majority of the homeless are homeless because they don't want to work the jobs. As a greenhouse manager, the local people don't want to work the jobs that the foreign workers work which is why we are required to bring them in in the first place. I have had many local workers try working in the greenhouse only to quit within weeks because they couldn't handle the work or even the heat that is required. So how are we supposed to depend on local people to do the work? The would be a worker turnover every 3 - 6 weeks. With this program we can bring in people who WANT to do the work because its a better opportunity for them than what they have back home. This is NOT the way to fix the homeless problem. High rent, high taxes and high economic standards are the cause of eat. People cant AFFORD to buy food, pay for living costs and even survive in todays society. This foreign worker programs ALLOWS us to get the work done. \n\nForeign workers brought in on the SAWP program or even low skill program aren't stealing job, they are doing the work that Canadians don't WANT to do as they can't handle it or even believe it's beneath them. Todays youth will never do the work that these people do for us. I respect the work that they do. I would love ANYBODY in the comments below to come to my farm in the middle of summer and spend 8 - 10 hours under the sun for a week and then see what their opinion is.

I am in the country in rural Northern Ontario and I must say life is still grand! I do avoid the major cities as they are too busy, too much traffic, and yes too much homelessness! This is due to ALL POLITICAL PARTIES NOT INVESTING IN GOOD CHEAP HOUSING! Yes, it is a problem with ALL the political parties, NONE have addressed it, from even before Harper to Trudeau today! This needs to be addressed! \nBut our life in rural Canada is still very good. I do not complain about paying high taxes if I know that my money aids others with health care and social programs! We are still far FAR better than Russia for example!! \nPeace n Love

I personally used to love indians. Especially punjabis. The ones who immigrated here in the 80s and 90s were quiet, dignified and productive.\n\nThey were family oriented and blended into canadian society seamlessly.\n\n\nThis is what indians need to do in order to regain respect again.\n\n1. Call out other indians who do not assimilate into canadian culture. And stop saying youre indian. My parents both immigrated from italy, and they never call themselves italian.....just canadian.\n\n2. Speak english a little better, and learn proper manners and customer service. The reason you came to Canadabwas because you saw it as a paradise where you could flourish. Learn the culture. Embrace wherenyou are.\n\n3. Follow the law. Pay your taxes, and find some NON indian friends who can help you assimilate easier.\n\n\n\n\nCanadians are very kind caring people overall. Present Canadian govt is dependent on DNP of Jagmeet Singh (Khalistani supporter). He can make Trudeau dance to his tune. Canadians of Indian origin mostly from Punjab are Khalistani sympathizers and they have fomented enough trouble locally in Canada and are primarily responsible for the poor relations between India and Canada. \n\nSecondly Indian emigration is of highly skilled work force consisting of doctors, scientists, financial experts, bankers, professors, businessman, politicians, and logistics business experts etc. They contribute to the treasury by paying the highest taxes than any other immigrant including european settlers. By and large Indians are peace loving people and excel in their fields. Now Indian origin people are into politics and Canada has a few MPs of Indian origin serving as ministers of defense, foreign affairs etc. \n\nThis xenophobia has to stop. Every wave of immigrants to the new continents have faced these problems be it Irish, Italian, Spanish, Dutch or East European immigrants. The process of assimilation takes a long time and in the meantime there would be some hiccups to which the society will eventually adapt. Every new immigrant group faces hostility from the earlier settled immigrants. It's much harder if the new immigrants don't look like the earlier settled immigrants. This is natural !!!.
