I thought that there were so many checks and balances on the president of the United States, but seeing his actions, I am very confused at how he is not being questioned for his mental stability and his actual ability to lead your country I mean to what degree is the definition of treason not applied I don’t understand how the president of the United States can now align himself with Russia and destroy allegiances with friends and allies This is not seen as treason?\nTo my American readers… just remember the United States knows no better friend than Canada….. so does any of this make sense? How is it that we are the enemy now and your president wants to support Russia is he a Russian operative? How are you not removing this guy from power where are all these checks and balances that you always bragged about through my entire life ?

If look at another perspective, if Trump did not impose tarrifs, then Canada will continue to sell the cars back to US for high profits. Trump mentioned about this, he is not happy. Indiana are very difficult nation to respect the rules and laws in the housing sector to during to jobs - and education. They don't want to learn the foreign rule except just want to make money by ignoring all rules. \nI rule said to allow the apartment to be sized and rules to all nations 2 people the indians will bring the same apartment 10-15 person minimum, damages within a days weeks, non-respect the rules they agreed to respect. \nWhen landlords are the same rules as all others indians think it's only for them, and cleanliness maintenance is the main issue. The apartment and building itself are not livable and others are complaining threatening the landlord to quiet the building. So if the bag wasn't still warm She check what'sa inside that paper bag & if it was no longer warm No tip was given! So if you want to deliver hot food Make sure! That you come on time & you have more than enough change + having enough change Helps get you your tip Cause common sense rules! I've been to the states many times! My opinion is that Americans focus on wallets more than social issues! Americans care more about their own circumstances than working together to help the whole of the population. No one likes to pay more taxes but they are a nessesary evil to be able to pay for health care, public security, and so on! So sure Americans don't pay as much for some things but pay more for things that they shouldn't pay! Health care is something that is very important, how can you be expected to pay for health services if you can't work cause you're ill, doesn't make any sence! Even Americans leave thier country because of what it's becoming! 50- 100 years ago everyone wanted to immigrate to America or Canada, now a days everyone is immigrating here to Canada. Hell no! It’s a fun place to visit, I love Florida California. I’m looking forward to going to the Carolinas, but I would never move there permanently. As a woman in Canada with children, what I do with my uterus is nobody’s business. I like my option of 18 month parental leave. I like my option not to do overtime and not have affect my job. I like my vacation and I like my sick leave. We have a safety net up here for mother‘s allowance child tax credit unemployment insurance. I love Americans. Although that's a general statement and just like Canada, there are jerks there just like here, for the most part I get along great with them. There are pros and cons to living in Canada and the U.S., For the most part, I believe Canada is the superior country. We have a superior healthcare system, superior banking system, superior snacks, and superior safety. However, Trudeau is killing that. He's destroyed our country to the point that one more term, and it may well be expedient to move to the USA. He's destroying our economy, our values, our culture. We have the resources to top the USA in every way, but we've never had leadership to make that happen. The U.S. has a superior economy, retail, and military. Although some may argue that the USA has superior freedoms, I'm not sure I agree with that. I know I don't feel freer when I travel there. I will definitely travel to the U.S. again. I have lots of friends there who I love and would love to see. However, it will take more Trudeau for me to want to move there. Since it looks like he's on the way out, I better just stay put at least for now.

I am a double hater cant stand Trump and I am a farmer, i dont use immigrants because i just grow crops that can be mechanically harvested and I have a small farm, But in the past I used to manage large farms where we had a lot of immigrants most were illegal and people don't understand why they're illegal It's because there is an arbitrary cap on how many migrants can come from Guatemala and Mexico if they wanted to come legally just a normal worker They have a 60-year waiting list so it's just impossible to come here legally. Most of these people are very hardworking good people that come here to work for 5 to 7 years save up money and then go back to Mexico or Guatemala build a house and start a business in their own country. \n\nThis year i begrudgingly voted for trump because for me the biggest issue is with the federal and state regulations that make farming much harder than it needs to be especially regulations on diesel engine emissions that cost me tens of thousands of dollars a year and many months of not being able to use my equipment that I spend hundreds of thousands of dollars on. And Kamala was the one who enforced the CARB emmisions standards that diesel engine manufactures have to comply with to sell into California which is the biggest consumer of these engines. \n\nLike right now I have my pickup truck that's been down for 6 months because of emissions problems and so many of the vehicles have emissions problems that the parts to fix it don't even have an ETA because they need to fix so many trucks and I have two other tractors broke down that I can't use all my friends that are farmers have a lot more and dems want to significantly increase emmisions standards in 2026. \n\nYou simply can't grow food at scale without reliable diesel engines There is no alternative The vast majority of food is planted and harvested mechanically in the US The bigger issue with food is not well illegals get deported It is will the diesel engines run to harvest 90% of the calories in plant them. \n\nWe have robots that can milk the cows most of the things that migrants harvest can be harvested mechanically and they are in other parts of the world It's just cheaper to do it with labor once that's not the case it will be mechanized. I would prefer to keep migrants here but give them legal working status if they have productive jobs and they pay tax.

Hi… I totally agree with just about everything you stated in all aspects of the Indian community. I’m a Canadian who happens to be living in Brampton for the past 12 years. I’ve watched Brampton go from a beautiful community to a dark dreaded place to live , and this is truly because of Indian behaviours. Mind you I have many genuinely good intelligent respectful Indian friends, but there’s the others that thinks they owe the city, province, and country. They don’t respect no one, and I mean no one. NOT EVEN THEIR OWN KIND (Indians/ Punjab). And yes as a Canadian citizen whenever I see something I do call them out on it. However; the moment you say something to them they assume that you’re cursing at them and what was ment to be a respectful comment becomes a situation where they want to argue and even get into a physical fight. Then there’s the bad, careless driving on the streets with no regards to the next person’s life. They drive like their car is the only one on the street yet always looking for someone to race with not to mention the illegal U-TURN creating major accidents. I personally experienced this when a Tractor Trailer Driver tried making a U-TURN on the city street with only 4 lanes for both direction at 4AM in the morning. This caused me to almost ran under the trailer body which would have been the end of my life. I am constantly annoyed by the following, but because I was born in Canada, I would be cancelled for saying the things you can. I am also Indian. Here’s the list that comes to mind. I might come back and edit this because I am sure there are things I am forgetting: \n\n- coughing into your elbow instead of your hands (literally watched a guy yesterday on the bus cough into his hands then put his hands onto the support bar)\n\n- Standing to the side and letting people off the train so you can get on instead of trying to walk through people who are trying to get off \n\n- Standing up and moving to the side to let somebody off on an inside seat of the bus. I have a butt. I don’t want to be squeezing by you \n\n- Taking off their backpack while standing on the bus and putting it between their legs\n\n- Moving to the back of the bus instead of crowding by the doors\n\n- Standing in lines to get onto the bus instead of crowding\n\n- Not littering. Either put your garbage in the bin or take it with you. Stop leaving it on the beach or on hiking trails.\n\n- Learn about hiking before attempting it. We have people going up in jeans and flip flops in the evening and getting stuck on mountains or injured. Some wear running shoes but they don’t have enough traction for the trail\n\n- Shovel the sidewalk in front of your home when it snows\n\n- Stop dousing yourself with axe body spray. \n\n- Understand that Indian food makes your clothes smell. It gives off oils that get stuck in everything. Open your windows and doors when cooking to minimize this as much as possible. You won’t be able to resolve this entirely but do what you can. The skytrain now smells like Indian food even when empty. \n\n- Stop riding your bikes and scooters on the sidewalk. It’s illegal and you have a responsibility to learn the rules \n\n- Stop hiring everybody that you know. Before nepotism was all about networking, but nowadays, it seems to be about hiring Indian people that you know. I am being discriminated by employers because they think I will do the same once I am in. Diversity in teams matters. Indian immigrants don’t seem to believe in this and think all that matters is the most qualified get the job. This is how you end up building facial recognition models that don’t recognize Black people. \n\n- You work at McDonald’s. Stop blasting Indian music. The McDonald’s by my place is blasting Indian music from the back and it overtakes the restaurant music. \n\n- In a work environment, even if it is all Indians, speak English. You ostracize your fellow colleagues and customers. You are also not improving your English skills by speaking in your primary language.\n\n- Make an effort to make non-Indian friends. It’s really intimidating even as an Indian to see large packs of Indian men\n\n- Learn how to swim. Every year we have multiple drownings at a lake because Indian people are unprepared for the reality of the water. This is a basic safety skill.\n\n- Stop staring at women. Even as an Indian woman I get stared at by these guys. Just stop. \n\n- Get headphones. Playing music or having conversations on speakerphone in public places is rude and very inconsiderate of others \n\n- Stop cheating. Whether that’s cheating the system or during classes. We grow up here and environment that even though we can cheat, the culture makes it completely unethical and you just don’t. The consequences are significant. I get it that you come from a country that doesn’t have enough resources for its population, but you give the entire Indian community a bad name when you cheat, lie, and do other unethical things.\n\n- Learn about Canadian values. The Canadian charter of rights and freedoms exists. Under it cases were won supporting equality for women, LGBTQ rights, etc. this is built into our constitution and it’s so ridiculous to come across people who don’t adopt Canadian values. Why choose Canada if you want a culture of what’s back at home. \n\n- I get it that our healthcare system needs to improve but am disappointing reading advocacy for private healthcare in Indian Facebook groups in Canada. Tommy Douglas was voted as the greatest Canadian. He is the founding father of our nationalized healthcare system. For the most part, Canadian are happy that we don’t have a healthcare system like the United States, where your access is determined by your employer or your income. We don’t go bankrupt when we have a health emergency. Go back to India or go to another place where you can pay for private healthcare, but stop advocating to transition our healthcare system to a private system. While you’re at it go look up who was determined to be some of the greatest Canadians.

Trudeau has taken the Multi out of “Multiculturalism” Canadians and Indians have different values and if we Canadians mention this we are shamed and labeled as racist. I have a few Indian friends and they even say that immigration to Canada from India has gone out of balance. Many Indian people don’t assimilate into western living and many try to find loopholes they can exploit. I don’t like that Sikh men can bring daggers to places like the gym, it makes me feel uncomfortable working out beside someone with a big knife. Indian people wearing a Turban don’t have to wear helmets when riding their motorcycles. If a white Canadian took a big hunting knife into a gym they would be escorted out by the RCMP, and would be ticketed and fined for not wearing a motorcycle helmet. While sitting with one of my Indian friends he mentioned how he would hate to be me, I asked him why, he said as an Indian he can do what he wants and if I say anything I’m shamed and considered a racist. ??

To all people here that object to Germany not making everything English-speaking.\n\nIn my experience working with a large German corporation, when in a remote meeting of 200+ people a handful of people say they prefer the meeting to be held in English, it’s going to be in English, even if it means that the speakers will automatically dumb down the content by 80%, have problems with vocabulary, and struggle to get across the finer details. The documentation for IT stuff will be written in approximate English to please the 3-5% readers who just wanted to earn a higher wage for a few years, but not commit to the culture of their host country.\n\nIf both sides speak only a second language and not their mother tongue, what are the chances of ever feeling like you really understand the other? It’s like shaking hands wearing gloves. If you come to Germany or any other non English speaking country, and feel at home there, commit. Learn the language. Embrace the cultural differences. Germans are reserved on the surface, it takes some effort for them to warm to strangers. But given time, most of them are happy to do so, and can be very loyal friends. \n\nIntegration into the society of a country you emigrate to is a two-sided story. The host country certainly has to make it easier, but it’s still an onus on the immigrants. Not being willing to accept that the host nation is culturally different isn’t an option. English is certainly an international language, because it is the language of a former worldwide colonial empire. But that’s no reason to expect that English is enough for a satisfying integration into any society.\n\nRacism is an issue in many countries that are historically very homogeneous, and having a significant minority can actually make it worse. But that’s not limited to Germany.

Germany is a mixed bag. Depends on who you meet and how emotionally resilient you are when you get here. Then you have the flat lottery, the moody Amt workers lottery, the friends lottery, etc. But statistics have shown, that the majority of skilled workers do not stay long-term in Germany. This place is one of the most modern slave states there is. Did you know you it is illegal to not have a health insurance and stay as a resident. The paperwork to get the Jobcenter to cover my health insurance is mind-boggling and lengthy. It takes a lot of years to get “integrated” and be at auf Augenhöhe and Lohnhöhe with the rest of the natives. If Germany really wants to let in 400.000 extra workers every year, it needs to do better with urgent more affordable housing, rent caps not just kindergeld. And with their oh so magnificent education, they could have more bilingual or trilingual workers at places like the Einwanderungsbehörde or the Bürgeramt to make it more welcoming. Legalese is even hard in my own mother tongue! But there are good things and people here too.

I came to Germany 7 years ago , speak German fluently and am on the verge of getting the citizenship but I will leave the country soon , why?\n1- extremely ineffective bureaucracy\n2-high taxes ( like you are being punished for not having a kid and earning more money, how dare you?)\n3- low acceptance for innovation and technology ( I swear I had to use and am still using a Fax Machine!! at work, I thought Fax was something that disappeared when I was a kid but it apparently just moved to Germany )\n4- bad weather\n5- even with a C2 Certificate, Germans are not the most friendliest people around ( like some other central and north european countries ) , you immediately feel the difference in attitude when you go to Spain, Italy or more friendly countries\n6- hypocrisy when it comes to immigration policies... like they want the most skilled workers but they dont want to pay them a good salary and even from that salary half is gone without you seeing it. and yet they still seem to wonder where the problem is.... my friend, Money, make them earn more at the end of the month(AFTER tax) and they will stay, yet they do every other measure apart from this :)))

Lived in the US for 4 years and bought 5 rental properties in my home country. Now I'm retired at the age of 34. It was the best decision I have ever made. I am now building a business and want to expand to Canada for my actual retirement. The US is great to work but when it's time to settle down I'd rather choose a slower country.\n\nBut tbh it can also be achieved in a good republican state in the US but I am assuming there will be a civil war there with all the woke ridiculous stuff happening there. Hopefully Trump gets elected and stop the WW3 Biden is aiming for.\n\nI also heard Canadian health care system is a big fat bubbly lie but at the same this is a field the US can't even win against a fifth world country.\n\nGuns? I love guns and support personal militarization fully. Private property and your personal protection is utmost important.\n\nAs a business owner I would never choose Canada because why would I even pay out of my pocket for a girl I don't even know or benefit from at all to give a birth in the first place? Is their kid going to work for me for a full year for free or what?\n\nSo in my perspective Canada is only good to settle down and if I were to build my life I would go for the US again without hesitation. Why some skilled immigrants are leaving germany? I have many friends who did that- IT, finances, etc. 1. Very high taxes and thus net salaries comparable to Eastern Europe. A senior dev in Bulgaria gets 2000-3000 NET. After taxes in Germany, well, he will get a little less. 2. Cost of living in Germany is much higher- rents, energy(because of green policies and taxes), services(because of costly labor), etc. \nImagine a budget of 1000-1500 eur to give you a nice apartment(400-500), bills, food and bars/restaurants 1-2 times per week. With a net salary of 2500 eur(average for qualified jobs in the capital) you can save 1000 eur or more with ease. With almost no illegals security, standard of living, etc is close to german. That is why qualified bulgarians do not go to Germany anymore. Same comparison can be done with all other EU contries. \nBecause of socialist policies for equal payment, high taxes, etc even germans leave Germany. What was the number? I think I saw more than 100000 qualified germans leaving each year. But why stay? To be taxed so that an engineer gets 1.5-2 times the janitor? With german social security unemployed get more than many working people. Rent covered, money for food and more and social payments leave you with more than the one working for twice your income because he pays rent, bills, etc.\nThere was an article I think in DW years ago about unemployed young people working for 2 years paid by gov and leaving the job market forever. They admitted the 2 years were just to mark the requirement for unemployment payments but that a nurse net salary was close to social security so why go to work. Do you think qualified people want to work for no money? What is the stimulus for the young to study if the salary will be close to with no degree? The politicians solution? More people on social security(non qualified illegals) and EU directive for making minimum wage 50% of average thus making the benefit of getting qualified even lower.\nGood luck Germany. I wish you could succeed but I and many of you lived in socialism. Did the equal payment help or make things worse making everyone to stop working and want to emigrate to where qualification meant more money and rich life?

I am 16 years old and I'm worried for my future. I think all of my friends know in the back of their heads how unaffordable Vancouver is and it terrifies me knowing how hard it'll be to just make it by as an adult. When I was younger, I wanted to move out of Canada because I wanted to explore the world. Now, I want to move out of Canada to afford to live. Regardless of where I go, Vancouver is the last place I want to be.

Same story, also moved to Canada(French Canada!!! :D) when I was 4, I'm 32, been in Canada like 24 years. Easy fit, my Dad was Canadian, so got Naturalized easily. I left Canada at the end of 2020. Mostly because of Covid/Work Opportunities in engineering. Now living in the USA with my Canadian Wife and visiting Canada 2 months every year, also happen to be born American, so again, easy(easier**, still hard) move for me. Currently working in engineering, less travel experience, but I did get to visit or work for long period of time in 5 countries. Anyway, I do have similar opinion, I think the solution is a federal housing initiative. We NEED to build north and have more cities than Toronto,Montreal & Vancouver. It would reduce rent & mortgage by a lot. Essentially solving the ''where are we going to put all those immigrants issue'', then secondly, we need to encourage entrepreneurship and business a lot more. We need more jobs and be less reliant on our USA neighbors or EU neighbors 3. Better transport, surprisingly a lot of Canadian don't visit all other Canadian province and prefer traveling out , hell, I want nothern Canada & Nothern Quebec to be more like Alaska, or make it easier from someone from Quebec to move to Alberta, but still easy enough to visit family and friends in their home state in under 3 hours. ;)

It's all fine and well that you want to leave Canada but where will you go that's any better? After all it is your choice. The problems we see happening around the world are a global problem. There are at least 2 major wars going on. Inflation is rampant in most countries in the world and we ARE heading for a global economic depression that will dwarf anything that we've seen in the 1930's. Speaking for myself my roots are here in Canada which is not the Canada I grew up in anymore. Sadly. Used to be a really great place to live until Trudeau and his band of thieves ruined it. I may as well make my last stand here. If I was going to move where would I go. The EU? Absolutely not! They're tanking. America? No effing way! The American empire is collapsing. Along with the FED note. South America? Don't think so. Most S. American countries are iffy at best. Australia? No. They're nuts. New Zealand? No. They're struggling badly and people are leaving there in droves. Africa? No way in hell. So that doesn't leave very much. Antarctica? Little on the cold side. Few amenities. ;) May as well stay where I am and take my chances. Better the devil I know than the one I don't. If you're serious about moving out of Canada be sure to do your due diligence and research about your target country. Grass always looks greener on the other side but many times isn't once you get there. One place that I AM attracted to is the Azores. Beautiful place. Friendly people. Good climate. One drawback is that I don't speak Portuguese. And I would have to be independently wealthy. After a certain amount of time out of the country I would lose my Canadian pension. It's said that where we are is where we're supposed to be. I may as well take my chances, make the best of a crappy situation and stay here. There really is no better or worse place than Canada. The majority of the countries in the world are struggling with their own problems. I'm not willing to jump from the frying pan into the fire. One of the biggest reasons I want to stay in Canada is that if it does come to a nuclear shooting war it would be very unlikely that Canada would be attacked. So here I'll stay. For better or worse. The LIberals won't be in power forever and if people have the smallest amount of sense, so few will vote for them in the next election that the Liberals will lose party status. I fervently hope that happens. ;)

I was born in Asia. I lived in Australia, USA and now Germany because I married a German. \n\nIt is always a challenge to break into the group because the people born in that country have already established their circle of friends and with family.\n\nYou will always have to put in the effort to establish something. But i have to say that some places are easier to make friends compared to others.\n\nGermany wants skilled workers but their system and people do not recognise other countries qualifications (even first world countries' certificates), adding to the fact the language is difficult to master.\n\nIt is not impossible but you will have to count your advantages and disadvantages to see if it works for you.

As an international student, I'm studying in a uni of applied sciences, I have a German friend whom I am teaching English, because I'm fluent in English. There was a mandatory subject in our course regarding English. I know my friend, he cannot speak 2 sentences in English without making a single grammatical error, and he admits that. Still somehow the teacher gave him 80% in the English exam, and gave me 63% in the exam. I saw the grading, his grading was extremely lenient and mine was extremely harsh. Even my German friend said that he's surprised with the grading and thinks it's unfair. \n\nSo these are the reasons I don't wish to stay in Germany. If you want skilled immigrants to contribute to your social system and boost your economy, the least you could do is be nice to us.

I came to Berlin, Germany ?? from India with my family in 2021 on EU Blue card. I work here as a Software Engineer and last month I got my PR. Below are my observations \n1) Not expat friendly at all - Most of Govt departments doesn’t want to speak English at all making us feel we are useless. Esp at initial level it is next to impossible \n2) Taxes are too high I have lots of friends in Netherlands in HSM visa and they have 30 percent off in total salary meaning taxes are charged on remaining 70 percent.\n3) Difficult to buy home in Germany ?? whereas in Netherlands it is super easy and banks easily give 100 percent mortgage. Many friends of mine took their own house on the very first year and their emi is almost equivalent to the rent.\n4) Openess to English is still an issue if Germany ?? needs more skilled workers which I feel they desperately need it they would need to be more open towards English which is a common linked language.\n5) People are not at all friendly and avoid small talks.
