Most Americans cannot stand this imperialism criminal president's trade policy. People are going to pay for a higher cost of living.

As a Canadian who lives in (largely French-speaking) Quebec, I don't know if our gov't even NEEDS to tariff American consumer goods, the people here are already boycotting US goods and companies en masse. EVERYBODY is doing it - and the pace isn't going to recede anytime soon. Even after the Orange Turd is long gone, trust me, Canadians will remember this! The American state has proven it cannot be trusted. They have unilaterally broken the trade agreement (negotiated by the previous Donald J Chump administration) on the flimsiest of reasons, the 00.2 % of fentanyl that flows over the border into the US from Canada. That deal now obviously not worth the paper it was signed on.

I am a true Patriot of Canada, but we have been living on boral time when it comes to our defense systems, including the borders. And we have depended on the U S far too long, and for that I blame the Canadian government. The Trudeau/liberals said they were going to fix it well here we are unprepared now here we are 10 years later. We need an election right now. Canadians cannot afford to wait any longer, the people need to pick the time, and that's now.

This is just a sampling of what happens when you elect an official do the highest office in the land while this individual Donald Trump is Holden s official position as dog catcher is out of his ability. The issue on fentanyl, is a intoxicant that will not and cannot be defeated. This is a total failure on the government's inability to protect its own citizens that is their number one job.. The only solution that I have heard that remotely makes any sense is the Cato institute conclusion that the wisest route to go is completely legalization with age restrictions. While this may not be the desired outcome it's the only one that I see that makes any sense whatsoever it seems that when a solution like this offered so many individuals who have no gravitas in this matter will come back to the same nonsensical bulshit that they're going to stop the flow that is absolutely impossible. However we will continue on that course and we will continue to fail. The Cato Institute was initially funded by the Koch brothers a extremely conservative organization that gets together a group of the brightest and the best in trying to determine what is the best solution.the Koch brothers were the group that invented the tea party I would love for anybody who disagrees with this post. I would like anybody who thinks that this is a far-fetched idea ,all I ask is that if you disagree with the finding that it should be legal with age restrictions if you disagree I would like to hear a solution that you have in mind that you think is better than the Cato Institute finding. I am under the impression that you do not have anything that remotely resembles a solution to this terrible problem. Right off the bat, with uality control, you'll stop hundreds of thousands of deaths. All of the issues that are being dealt with are just so screwed up because we've already been through this before. After making a constitutional amendment to ban the manufacturing of alcohol it was reversed and I hope that the country realize that we cannot win this battle with the same mindset. The only reason why fentanyl is such a dangerous intoxicant is because there's no quality control. Also the cartels are not affected negatively \nBy allowing the government deal with this problem. the end result would be not only do you save lives but you also have put a very negative Spike through their heart of the cartel in the pocketbook. Incense elan musk & DOGE cost cutting measures since this War on drugs has caused over a trillion dollars and no 6:28 results. The DEA does not remotely live up to its mission statement and has failed every year since that policy was put in place. I would love to hear any feedback and a solution that is remotely possible.. let's hear some original ideas that the country would benefit from.. the ball is in your court.

Long-term, nobody will trust the USA after this. US voters cannot be allowed to destroy trade, democracy and peace worldwide. All Western democracies will work towards insulating themselves from US influence, and that will impact the standards of living inside the US. The US will have to ally with Arab, Russian & Chinese 'friends' to survive, and that will remove the US from any semblance of a country guided by human morals, much less, the Christian religion.

Let us be honest, Indian students go to Canada to become a PR or a citizen! Living standard for ordinary people in India is very poor! Only a satanic group could hate this country that gives them every opportunity they could ask for. If you asked them, would they want to live in any of the other countries in the world they won’t answer you they will get part from the question and they will call you a miss information White supremacist or if you’re black a uncle Tom. They have an answer for anything good because their father is no other than evil. They get their playbook from evil. They can’t stand to be around any success. And one last thought. Joe Biden was ruled by evil. He opened the border on purpose to destroy this country at the same time. He was making millions from our adversaries. His actions have proven it over and over, but yet he’s not persecuted for the crime he committed. After you have a president that has destroyed America in so many ways. And the people that hate America love him. If your country is bad enough to make you want to flee, why do so? Every country has had to struggle. Even here in the US horrible things have happened to it's citizens. You cannot run from your problems. They must be solved, one way or another. The US had a civil war. It was horrible, though you could argue the outcome was good. If you live in a country, you have a duty to be a part of that country. Whether that means voting, partaking in social norms, etc., you are a part of that. It is not another country's problem if that turns out being bad. If the majority of a country installs or allows in one way or another a horrible governing party or group to run things, it is their fault and theirs alone. Like sticking your hand into a hot pan, there are consequences. This will get bad before it gets good. Hopefully it ends good.

you cannot come here right now, we have people here who are struggling too. I’m sorry that your country isn’t safe or has a lot of problems, but people in the US can’t afford groceries either and the gov doesn’t help the homeless, disabled or elderly enough as it is. No one should be entering the country until every single homeless citizen has been given whatever appropriate help they need and a place to live. Until our own poor citizens have been given sufficient amounts for food. Some elderly US people get $23 in SNAP monthly and are expected to eat and survive on that, while illegals are handed cards with $800 on them to eat with. How is that ever ok? \nSome of us are existing on like $600 per month, we have veterans living on the streets. These things must change before we can help anyone else. I am not unsympathetic to your cause, but I see too many struggling citizens right now that I have to care about first.

Supply bulldozers and rubble removing machinery to clean the land up as quickly as possible, as well as bomb detection kits to protect the children. The Gazan people are incredibly resilient and will happily live in tents whilst their country is being rebuilt around them, and the State of Palestine begins to emerge again. \n??

Its not just an employer issue though, these corporations see dollars, the rest of us see taxes, overflowing school,s lack of teachers, lack of translation supports, lack of hospital systems, lack of housing , food bank runs as wages cannot support cost of living, homelessness crime and drug use. If you bring in a 100 million for the illegal immigrants, they will vote single-handedly every time for Democrats, which will keep them in power, which will keep us homeless, which will keep American citizens begging for food, but they will still be giving these people free handouts from the American taxpayer. Now, what's going to happen is if these people actually get jobs instead of under-the-table where they have to pay taxes, they will quit working. They will quit working. I don't care what anyone says, but Indian people, particularly (Punjabs) don't like to mixed with other cultures at all. They don't integrate with the Canadian lifestyle. As an American and also a half Indian myself, I hear this guy . I have friends in Canada and they complain to me about the same thing. One of the things is that Indians refuse Canadians job positions because they are not Indian. How can u Indians refuse someone a job in their own country? And another thing. Changing Canadian culture just like he said. . Canada has a right to their own culture. U people cannot do that. U live in Canada not India. India has its own culture as well . They are leaving because the minimal hourly wages cannot support their living in the big cities like Toronto and Vancouver. \n2. High income tax ? In UK the top tax bucket is well over 40%. In Australia you need to pay 45% income tax plus 2% medical Levy surcharge\n3. High cost of living? I think the cost of living in London of UK and Sydney of Australia are also exceptionally high. The cost of living affordability depends on the income of the migrants. Low income working class will feel the cost of living and housing pressure. But this applies to all countries, including SF of US, Toronto of Canada, Sydney of Australia, London of UK\n4. Rise in crime: I do not understand this logic as the migrants left Canada to US - the city of LA, New York, Seattle and Chicago are far worse than in Canada \n5. Limited Career opportunities: the only country that has better career opportunities is US. What are the main reasons for those who are not migrating to US?\n\nIn summary, all the above points are not the main reasons. The main reason is the liberal government. Canada had taken a large number of wrong low end migrants in wrong time. When the economic downturn turn comes these are the most vulnerable group of people that should leave Canada.\n\nMany Canadian found that they resolved some of the problems by relocating from city to city ie moved from Vancouver to Calgary. Cheaper house price and cost of living, lower crime rate,etc

First of all I do not understand why Trumpf expects Canada to do what apperently the US cannot do, watch the US border. Is he paying us for that, we already subsidize the US! I firmly believe illegal immigrants (possibly a few exceptions, where their live is at stake) should be returned to their country of origin and if so desired, apply for legal immigration.

Rents and forget about buying a house in BC, AB, Quebec, Ontario. High unemployment, Inflation is high and going up more. We also do not have a military defense system and the U.S. is tired of Canada not spending money to meet their responsibility as a Nato country. Many Canadians are leaving the country permanent. Investors and businesses are pulling out. Canada is trillions in debt but keep printing more money (toilet paper). Canada has gone downhill significantly over the past ten years. Born Canadians and legit immigrants having to go through a rigorous immigration process are very unhappy and cause conflict. Besides all the different ethnicities cause unrest and are ungrateful, daring the burn the Canadian flag, uttering death to Canada, death the US and Israel. These trouble makers have not intentions to assimilate into Canada's culture and are disrespectful to the Canadian government and it's citizens. Our youth are very unhappy and do not see a future for themselves yet have to work very hard and pay unbelievable high taxes. The minimum wages are only 15 bucks an hour which cannot sustain life here in this country. Please stop making false promises to foreigners to come here and be disappointed. This is not a country of milk and honey any longer but poor and enormous homelessness. Hunger, terrible health care, incredible post secondary tuitions and books. Now that president Trump has won the election he is going to place tariffs on Canadian goods and rightfully so. Russia is very interested in the Antarctica and should they or anyone invade Canada we got 3 days of ammunition. The food in AB is very bad for your health. Everything has pesticides, hormones, and by the time fruit and vegies arrive here from the US all the nutrition have gone. A extremely high cancer rate, young and old, diabetes, depression and other mental disorders are rampant. Our children and grandchildren do not have a future so why bother going to school or work. Our kids live on the streets, shelters, camping in the woods and using fentanyl and meth all kinds of dangerous drugs. The cities and small towns are full of used needles, pipes, and more paraphelia just thrown on the trails everywhere. The US will not assist Canada when a possible War 3 will occur, and we the people of Canada and the land are easy prey. If you do not believe me, just come visit RED Deer shelters and walk around on the trails, go to Vancouver but becareful because random assaults are happening every day, people living in tents, using the streets as toilets, drugs galore, even the police is unable to act nor arrest criminal activities caused by desperate people who need to survive. Canada's economy is about to collapse and fall into a recession. We have too many people coming in our country without checking their back ground and many criminals and terrorist groups are entering declaring refugee status whether it is true or not, we do not know. The people of Canada who work and pay highest taxes are used to house these newcomers and education, jobs, food and money. Our government take better care of these illegal people than their own people especially our youth. So please let us not pretend Canada is a land of opportunity and great. We have to vote for the right leader who will have a very difficult time and challenges to overcome if at all possible and make Canada Great Again!

Stop allowing illegal immigration to Canada when we cannot support…Our health care, housing, education cannot afford any more pressure. We have Canadian veterans, seniors who are living in poverty.

I am a 4th generation Canadian and I left for the US on a TN work visa. I love life down here and will never move back to Canada. I have a much better life.
