Canada needs to deport permanent residents for 10years or more. They have their time to apply for citizenship but chose not to.

Government failure TIME AND TIME AGAIN. You let an influx of immigrants all at once, fail to do proper checks on who enters the country, fail to get rid of criminals from the country. But oh! You'll go after hard working immigrants, meanwhile criminals are always getting second chances and staying in Canada??? KEEP HARDWORKING LEGAL CANADIAN IMMIGRANTS IN. They contribute to our economy. DEPORT CRIMINALS. They ruin our country. IS THAT SO HARD? The government is FAILING Canada! We used to have better immigration policies, what happened to them?

Unlike other countries, Canada is honest about the saturation that is happening over the time. They are objective about it. If citizens feel insecure about their future, it is time for them to halt immigration for some time. AI Coming, people are loosing jobs. Rents are increasing etc.

That’s the harsh reality. During Trudeau’s time, Canada saw a significant influx of newcomers, which put pressure on housing, the labour market, and healthcare. It’s normal for a country to tighten immigration for a few years; lower quotas naturally mean higher requirements. Coming on a study permit or a work permit doesn’t guarantee permanent residency. Once a temporary status expires, and if there’s no other legal pathway to stay, the person must leave Canada.

Not that an issue in Canada. Some on the extreme right are playing the racism angle. What happened was too many people were allowed in the country in a short period of time, putting strain on services and employment. This was done during pandemic when labor was issue and with universities and colleges when tuition was frozen, and they set that with foreign students who were not qualified financially to study abroad and did it more for permanent residency.

This report is very biased, Canada took 100 times more immigrants, now they can not fit everyone in, so people have to leave, the government profited, blame Trudeau!!

As a Canada who speaks both French and English and who follows politics quite closely, I have to say that the headline and some of the reporting here is quite misleading. A reduction in immigration has broad support across Canada. I wouldn't say that notion is dividing the country in any significant way. You do have certain industry groups that disagree, but among the population these reductions have broad support. This is a historic change in public opinion in Canada, but it has been driven by the unprecedented increase in immigration under the last term of the Trudeau government. To put this in context, non-permanent residents in Canada numbered around 1.5 million on Q3 2023, but by Q3 2025, that number sat a just over 3 million. The previous government increased immigration targets by 3 or 4 times over what they had been for years, which caused a number of economic issues. Essentially, the volume was simply too high for the economy and society to support. This was unfair to both Canadians and new comers, many of which could not find employment or afford a decent place to live. The changes being suggested are largely bringing Canada back to what the targets were for over a decade before, though a bit lower to account for the sudden surge. Canada remains one of the most pro-immigration countries in the world. However, and this is where I think DW's reporting is misleading, there is a distinction to be made between policies at the federal level and policies at the provincial level. Immigration, per our constitution, is a federal matter, however, Quebec in particular is distinct from other provinces. I don't mean only culturally and linguistically, but also in the powers that have been devolved to it by the federal government. On the question of immigration, Quebec has more powers and more ability to set its immigration targets and programs than any of the other 9 provinces. The particular program discussed here, the Quebec Experience Program (PEQ), is a particular immigration stream that only existed in Quebec. So what is happening with that program cannot be labeled as a whole-of-Canada thing. Where the changes to the PEQ are controversial, unlike the general changes at the federal level, is that people who immigrated under that specific program were promised certain things. There was a multi-year time line to Permanent Residency and then Citizenship. Many of those people have been in Quebec for 5-8 years already. However, the changes made to the program were done in such a way where people who many years into the program, had gotten an education, started a career, had children, ect. are now being told they can't continue and must leave Canada. There are even stories of people who married Canadians, now have children, and the one parent who was under this program now faces the possibility of having to leave Canada and be separated from their family. All through no fault of their own. That is what many people see as unfair, and I agree, however limiting future applications under the program, to bring in less people, that is not controversial. Canada has no responsibility to bring in people who are not already in Canada, but Canada does have some responsibility towards people who uprooted their lives to move to Canada and built new lives here based on promises and representations made to them by the Canadian and Quebecois governments. We should no simply kick those people out of the country.

I’ve had conversations with Indians who say there’s too many Indians. Prior to the past 10-11 years of liberal “leadership,” we only let in 40k people per year. Now on average over trudeaus time we on average let in 1 million people per year. It’s disgusting. Finally someone has covered this! This is the sad reality as to what's happening to Canada. The UK is the exact same. We are being outbred, our jobs are being taken away, and we are being overrun with them. Look at the Canadian government, that's how bad it has become. The Canadian government has become so corrupt because of this! Once they infiltrated the government, all kinds of corruption occured, their extended families were getting automatic citizenship, free healthcare, and draining the Canadian job market and healthcare benefits. One common scam they pull is that they will find a job, immediately apply for social welfare, and take time off and still get paid for months without even working. They completely abuse the system which results in actual Canadians who need social welfare benefits to not be able to gain any benefits, because of the amount of scammers that have infiltrated and colonized the country. Canada is screwed completely unless we speak up about this! There are many of us who don't like this and don't want it, but there are many Canadians who are bleeding hearts and weak who just accept it. They're going to outbreed us and eventually completely takeover and completely ruin the country. Canada is not the same place that I remember from my childhood. I was going through college in southern Ontario about half a decade ago. The faculty was alright but the one that always stuck with me was an elderly Indian man who had a PHd (what he was doing teaching at a community college, I'm not sure). He immigrated from India sometime in the 70's, I think, and sometimes told us stories about how he'd never seen electricity until he was well into adulthood. This was at the early stages of Indian mass immigration to the province, but the international students were already becoming a known problem in the school. They never spoke to anyone else, hung out in big groups together on campus, I swear most of them couldn't even speak English. They constantly cheated on everything and shared answers, I heard like 7 of them got failed for submitting identical lab reports one time. Most people knew they were a problem, but no one was comfortable saying anything. Except the Indian professor. He would publicly call them out for shit in class, berate them, shit talk them openly to other students. I've literally never seen anyone more angry about those Indian students than that Indian professor. It's not hard to see why, he busted his ass to immigrate to Canada, get work and get into a good university. He completed a doctorate, for Christ's sake. He didn't see a street light until he was 25, and worked his way to the bleeding edge of digital science. Now there's a bunch of lazy assholes invited in by the government brazenly trying to cheat their way to a degree in his goddamn class. I'd crash out too.

I’m from Barbados. I went to Canada for the first time last year and was shocked to see so many Indians. I thought I was in India.

As someone from Ottawa Canada who goes to Toronto often, yes there are a lot of Indians in our country and my gripe comes down to how they overrun traditional fast food places we grew up on, but since they have no attachment to it they half ass and don’t make things up to par and make it seem like they’re doing you a favor when you’re paying. So many places are ruined because of this, not just Tim Hortons. However, Tyler postured this as if this is a recent epidemic when Brampton has BEEN known for a lot of Indian immigrants starting in the late 80s and 90s- maybe he mentions this and I missed it or I haven’t got to it yet as I’m midway through the video… Toronto and its areas are very diverse and have been for a long time. Nearby from Brampton in Markham that’s where a lot of Chinese are and you can see it by the business types and you see Chinese lettering under English writing in some places. So why is Tyler acting like this is a rapid epidemic that just started? To ramp you guys up. Again, not denying the fact we have a ton of Indians and have taken in more than ever in the recent years, but these weren’t calm white places that have been overrun like in some of your other videos in Europe, etc.

As a Canadian, I work in healthcare in the disability sector, and I am extremely frustrated with what I am seeing the Indian population taking over the sector. There are ongoing issues with Indians who cannot communicate clearly in English with clients. This has resulted in serious confusion and, on several occasions, situations escalating into violence. Clear communication is essential in healthcare, and this failure puts vulnerable clients at risk. Clients are not being provided with proper meals that meet their dietary needs. Instead, food is often prepared without consideration for the client’s usual diet, which has caused clients to become physically ill. On top of that, basic food safety practices are not being followed at all. To make matters worse, the company does not provide proper foodsafe training, despite it being a legal requirement. There are also major professionalism issues. Some Indians arrive late to work—sometimes by hours—and give excuses with no consequences. I have documented these incidents and reported them to upper management, yet nothing is done. During shifts, 90 percent of Indian staff sit in the office for long periods, leaving clients unattended except for basic cooking. This can go on for days until white staff are scheduled. One incident that really stood out involved a client returning from a doctor’s appointment. When I asked how it went, I was told the client “had something on his head” and needed to use a cream. When I asked what the condition was or whether it was contagious, the Indian staff member did not know what the word contagious meant let me remind you I work in health care. I later learned from the client’s mother that it was a fungal infection information that should have been clearly communicated immediately for everyone’s safety. I am exhausted by the lack of standards, accountability, and training in this workplace. If you are going to work in healthcare in Canada, you must be able to communicate effectively, follow food safety laws, show up on time, and provide proper care. Lowering standards for the Indian population puts vulnerable people at risk, and management allowing this is unacceptable. If your coming to Canada follow are values and beliefs are stay in India.

I’m actually appalled at the racism in this video. People have a right to search for a better life for themselves. Why do you think white people ended up in Canada in the first place? It’s not their country. Immigrants are typically highly educated and pay Canada exorbitant amounts of money to move here and/or go to school here. They also take a loss because most of the time their university degrees are not recognized in this country. They swallow their pride and take jobs beneath them. I love Punjabi people, they are high class and they surprise me when they tell me they were farmers before coming to canada because I don't get that rugged vibe from them. That guy at 2:50 was purhaps the most honest 'white' guy you will meet. The fact is Indians didn't take over, the upper class just decided to move north to Bolton or more west to the Halton area. Over time enough Indians replaced them to basically take over important roles like police officers and political positions. Eventually just like East Asians have Markham and parts of Scarborough, the south Asians had a high enough population for Brampton to be considered their home turf. Eventually though it was the student visas that drove Canadians crazy. Millions of students in record time and I believe there was an additional 4 million who came on temporary work visas during covid, eventually Canadians got annoyed. Personally I don't see any problem with it as long as we keep building apartments and homes for the new immigrants to rent and live it doesn't bother me. I would like to see three times more immigration especially from Europe as this country is super underpopulated and we need people to open factories and build companies that will strengthen Canada as a whole and employ our own not just send money back to their countries. So its not an invasion we just need come to a place of understanding and learn to work together. I will finish with the one negative; there truly is a massive lack of assimilation and this may prove to be more of a problem than we realize but I won't go into it. I went to Toronto and Niagara Falls for the first time last year. Both places were filled with Indians. Didn’t even look like Canada. Looked like a third world country. The people were very loud, rude, and dirty. Would not go back.

Indians have been in Canada for a very long time. Many came from Punjabi closer to colonial times. The racism in the comments is inexcusable. People of all different backgrounds commit crimes , public nuisances, etc. and the complaining of dominating every industry? I’m not sure what angle that is. Maybe the other groups should do better at dominating industries or advocate for businesses to hire other Canadians (equal opportunity employment). And the whole “ cow poop video” Tyler posted is one village in India ; which of course makes Indians collectively look bad and gives way for many of you in the comments to continually perpetuate this idea that Indians are sub-human. And Tyler, word of advice, if you’re going to show parts of the Indian community and Hinduism religion in Canada — at least learn to pronounce words correctly so you don’t sound like a complete idiot.
