First of all, the United States is a country of misfortune for me, I'm sorry if it sounds abrupt, but how I see it!\n\nHonestly I think that for the reputation of the country and their people, it will never change if the question of weapons is not settled! (Yes again the weapons) Because that's what comes back the most how many people there are in the cemeteries who didn't ask for anything and who died by a bullet lost by the mass killings in the schools or by psychologically crazy speaking who should have ever had a gun in their hands! Whenever the question is asked it is always the reason for patriotism or the constitutional right to bear arms!\n\nThere is absolutely nothing normal and natural about going to Walmart and walking out with a rifle or a semi-automatic weapon without more regulations or investigation of the person who wants to buy the weapon in question. Never in the life does it exist in Quebec or even in any similar place in Canada! We would say at times that the United States and Canada are two different planets and not territories on the same continent.\n\nAnd also it's funny that the country is called ''United States'' while people are divided like never before with racism and political opinions whether your more (Republican) or (Democrat). Believe me, I'm not happy to make this comment because I would like to love you more! And of course I don't put everyone in the same boat I know you're not all like that! But shit wake up!!! As a Newfoundlander (as my name shows) I have lived here my whole life, and maybe it’s the time here but the fog and snow doesn’t take away from how amazing it is, cause seeing fog rolling over hills are amazing and the snow and cold gives these amazing icicle trees in winter/early spring, plus thanks to the untouched-ness skidooing and off roading is amazing, plus we have funny accents also they talk about the sun not existing but it’s out quite often, even during the coldest of days it’ll be there to blind you, and it’s not really isolation cause unless your very unlucky you can always find somebody to have a beer with, and if your in a isolated place your probably there on purpose. edit: YOU SAY LAND AS LAND, NOT LIND, NEW F’N LAND

Very good video, I wish I knew it all in 2014! Taxes, OMG this was such a nasty surprise when my grocery bill was higher than what I saw on a price tag. Funny that a lot of this is true in Switzerland as well. Switzerland hates overachievers but values team work. Always respect your team, help and be polite are absolute dealbreakers. Other aspects of cultural norm also works. Remember how Canadians were closed when it comes to personal topics, Swiss people are reserved and it takes time to get closer to them but they can also been direct when it comes to a civil state, at least this happened to me. \nFunny fact: when I arrived in Switzerland I had Canadian views of a distance and annoyed people by saying 80km is close, but when I explained I used to live in Canada they understand I need time to adjust. \nI lived 5yrs in Toronto and never get issues with winter, but I hate summer heat not winter.

After reading the comments it's funny how people still thinks where you are born or your country origin is home. Imagine thinking that's the definition of home to begin with, sometimes I Just shake my head when I see people using such content to define home. Home dosen't necessarily have to be your country origin or whatsoever. I personally would define home as anywhere with the best of contents I seek along with my Characteristics being blended. \nAlso I don't get why people are criticizing those who said they won't come back, they have there various reasons for moving abroad, it might be for a better life, academic, security and lots other stuffs. If they wanna go back to there home country then good and fine but if they wanna stay and migrate, it's also Good. Migration has always been a thing right from the time of Abraham so in essence allow those who wants to migrate to migrate, they are not the cause of your problems or to why your home country has bad governance. If you don't like the fact that they are migrating or not wanting to go back to there home town then simply ignore them, no need to act bitchy about it, Gosh!

Always been friends? Thats funny because pretty sure that iff WW2 had not happened, Canada would have invaded the US as payback for the 1812 war. Because without WW2, the US never gets a war economy, all they have are riffle foot soldiers. Meanwhile Canada was already in a war economy due to its massive involvement in WW1 and viewed the US as a rival with a dangerously high population. Also in WW1 Canadian were feared for its crualty and its no mercy policies of make no prisoners, kill the surrendering, kill the wounded and their families. And right after WW1 Canada was in the perfect position fix the population problem by committing mass genocide against the US. It was really in WW2 where britain forced us to work side by side with the americans that a real friendship started between the US and Canada.

It’s funny how young Americans currently wouldn’t allow anything bad to be said about Canada. Young Americans believe Canada is what America should be and that it is a perfect country. I always thought it funny how Canada built all their major cities along the Border, they literally piggyback off America. I’m from AZ, I’ve watched immigrants come up and get jobs and start businesses without even being able to speak English.

100% correct. I was one of those who left Canada. The funny thing is I found many Canadians (not migrants) who are engineers worked in the low income jobs in my place and a very good friend of mine who is a Caucasian Canadian at the end moved to South America. Another thing is it is not always easy to move on from low income jobs there. I met an Indian who is an engineer after living there for 30 years became a taxi driver.

When people get beyond the boundary of a person's color you will face the reality of what this is all about in the first place. Isn't it funny when we look at things like professional sports. The music industry a host of other platforms you see the black community excelling. Now you do not see a huge rebellion taking place from any other nation that is not represented in those areas. So what is really up with these other areas you continue to bring up. All those other problems are not being escaped from because of a persons color. If you believe you have a problem in those areas. Then continue to find solutions. Stop trying to single out the fact that you are the only race that has life issues. When you know every Canadian daily has challenges it faces. The thing about it all is simply this fact. What are you going to do about it ? Stop putting up walls that tell others you are always a victim. If that were the case your basketball courts, baseball stadiums, football fields would not be filled. We all know that is not happening. And I certainly do not believe that all blacks live in this sort of arena. In fact I have a lot of friends who are black. All I see everyday is a beautiful person behind that face. The other thing is, that there are millions of Canadians every year out getting tans when the sun hits. That alone should speak volumes.

Something funny I noticed while in the US was when I talk to people the 2nd thing they ask me is my name. ALWAYS THE 2nd THING THEY ASK. WHY?? I can speak with everybody in Canada without knowing the name ever but Americans feel the need to know that.

Moving to Vancouver was a great experience tbh, I'm of nigerian heritage but was born in Finchley, North London...\nCanadians are friendly and extremely welcoming ( Coming from the UK i found this so off-putting ) lol. Ironically its non-white Canadians i had funny experiences with.... from dating to renting its weird\n\n\nAsians under 27 always asking some crazy questions ( Are you an NBA player ) lol it's cute at first but after a while when little koreans walk up to me talking about ( You look like will smith ) it makes you think... To be fair these are not inherent negatives, But asian canadians alone did treat me weird i found, Indian girls i met all wanted to be with me but where also very ashamed to say so or let their family know, but thats a cultural thing so i understood.\n\n\n Of all the demographics White canadian and native men where the most welcoming and open to me, in my experience.. White women of-course where cool too but that does not really count, especially as a good looking black guy with an accent LOOL you know how that goes!! My Tinder and Bumble were obscene LMAO\n\nRenting from asians while black and Male!? is almost impossible!!! Except they think you have rich parents!! Its impossible in Van unless you are an Arab exchange student lol \nArab and Persian students studying english have no issues renting in Vancouver, for some reason!!\n\nI lived out the St. Regis downtown for a month, Looking for places to rent, i had seen so many places online and filled out applications but never got call backs, asides from 2 group showings i went to, i could not even set up a viewing with the apartment building i wanted... \n\nTill i met an african girl in school, and she told me something i found completely crazy.\nShe told me to make a new e-mail addy and to use my English name when i e-mail, then set up a viewing but to show up with a white friend preferably a girl and that if the owner is asian, i should look around, and offer to pay 6months upfront before they get a chance to ask what i did for work or whether i was a student or not LOL. Needless to say, i did what she said and It worked the asian lady asked me to come get the keys later that day. You folks who always claim racism, helps to keep it alive.. It may not be the color but the way you act in an establishment. I'm white and had on an old leather jacket ove day while shopping which possibly made me look needy. That day while walking through different stores at the mall, I was followed by store personal and also by the security team while walking between stores. After not seeing what I had been looking for in all of the other stores was a new leather jacket but not seeing what I wanted in all of those places that I visited, I walked to Wilson house of Leather and finally found that new jacket. Best of all it was on sale. I've lost some weight since those days but I still have my leather coat which is a bit big for me now and starting to look like the coat that got me followed that day at the mall. Not everything is color when you get those looks and I would say it's more on the way you present yourself. \n\n Funny how it was during the times of the HURRICANES were the riots and thefts were done by people od color. Not all blacks riot and loot but those who do are a reflection of the thinking of certain races on this earth. Whites are just as guilty but no Asians, Whites Indians Arab or alien were photographed looting during trying times for many. In times of crisis can you depend on your neighborhood?

Being a Black Lady in America has not affected me negatively. I believe that is some white women especially don't like me because I walk with my head up. I give off an aura that they cannot stand. After looking at me funny, asking me questions, they stop talking to me. (they did me a favor) Some say, where are you from? Yes I am from JA. Hey! You can't touch this. I always find it funny how road cyclists say mountain biking is so dangerous. Sure, you can take a spill on a mountain bike, but on a road bike you are always one idiot motorist on a cell phone away from death. I do both myself BTW, just think people over-estimate the risks of mountain biking.
