All I can say as an American is that the giant majority of us do not want this at all. Donald does not speak for us and Canada and Mexico are our friends, especially in trade and culture. I have heard from dozens of people in my life alone say they will not buy American or visit the US for the next 4 years. It's about money. Specifically Donald Trump getting as much money as possible from this term.
