I came to Canada legally as refugee in early 90's. At 16, speaking almost no English, I was enrolled in High School and got a job in McDonald's. But even then my clear understanding was that the job was temporary. My managers told me the same thing. I went to university and immediately switched up. It is infuriating to see that fast food jobs are careers for middle aged people, gaming the system and my kids won't have the opportunity to experience the very natural and normal experience of getting into the job market

Metro Vancouver went from 2.5 mil to 3.5 mil since the pandemic. As an Indian living in India, I’d say it was your country’s government’s problem and mistake, similar to what the UK is doing now. Aside from government or policies, Indians immigrating to Canada is something that dates back to the British era, when Britain sent a group of Indians, specifically Sikhs, for security or labor work in Canada. This started the trend of Sikhs (turban-wearing ones) moving there. In modern times, the West was richer in terms of education and infra compared to Asia, which attracted many normal students and families immigrants also. Canada and America were built by immigrants, but now things are saturated, which I understand, and that’s where the resentment comes from. The majority Sikh state ( punjab) in India is still behind in development and job wise cooperation, and the historical pattern from the British era of moving to Canada for a better life has become a norm for many young people there. The close, collaborative nature of Sikhs—like a cousin in Canada inviting another cousin from India to come over, open a shop, work together, or share housing—is another reason many don’t hesitate to immigrate. These are some of the reasons behind mass immigration from India. Now, with saturation, the resentment toward immigration has grown. India itself faces issues with immigrants who live off our taxes, take rights meant for native children, and abuse policies, laws, or the environment. At least Canada has better-off immigrants—educated and contributing to the economy. While some may depend on taxes, most are hardworking and self-sufficient; otherwise, Canada’s economy would have collapsed by now. In end i can understand the hatred but you guys should stop this yourselves - not hunting them but prevent more.

No big deal. If you've really travelled anywhere else in the world, there's more stringent and expensive measures when crossing into other countries. We're in FL for the season. Not a problem driving over. Took @ 5 mins at the inside counter with maybe 2 minutes wait. The CBP folks were polite. We did the i94 online before, so they took our finger prints on a small scanner and took our picture matched to our passport photo. We gave them our destination address as normal and how long we are staying. We were informed of our expected exit before date. If you have Nexis already, nothing really different that what you do now, just print your i94.

Trump will be gone soon. Things will go back to normal. The only reason why I will not go to the USA is because I don't feel safe down there anymore. Canadians just have to wait until a Democrat is president again if they really need to go there. I would rather go to another country for vacation. Plenty of safer places to go.

There is a clear lie in that video. Nobody is in Limbo. Mind you there is normal Federal Express entry program still happening. Meaning, that if you get selected through that program, you can immigrate to any province of your choice - including Quebec. You can also still get bonus points for Canadian education (Quebec education does count) and Canadian work experience (if it qualifies). So the only thing that happened was, that one provincial nomination program was ended, that is all that happened. The practical problem is, that provincial nomination does give so many points, that it is a guarantee of normal express entry pull as long as you just meet criteria to enter Express entry. So provincial nominations are suitable for people that might be otherwise struggling with points (older age, less language perfection, les bonus points from education or work experience). For a disclaimer, provincial programs are based on a specific province needs and just because one was opened when you planned to go and study or work in Canada, it does not mean it will be like that forever. If an agent made you such promise, then he was misleading you. Again for those people demonstrating, nothing has changed for them other than one future option was gone. They still have their student or work permit until it expires. They also can apply into Express entry program as normal. On a side note for Canadian trying to cheer about this, be aware, such change can also mean that economy projection for next few years is not the best. so take it a warning sign. Or if we are lucky, it was found that this program was not bringing intended type of skilled worker or was heavily abused.

This story could be based on any city in Australia as well, Indians are pouring into our country like an endless freight train. The political agenda in White countries (for some reason I can't fathom) is to destroy our race & culture. Swamping your country with foreigners from a different culture and race goes against every internal instinct a normal person would have to protect their family, race or tribe to survive in its identifiable form. Japanese people live in Japan, Chinese people in China, Germans in Germany; this is how the world should be. Here's my life in canada. denied work. Well, I'm gonna give you Canada Immigration an advice on how to catch these people and all those in other countries who has the same situation. These people are doing jobs like delivery like Uber, Skip, Doordash, etc., BUT...they are not using their legal name to apply for that instead they are using another person's account to do that job, whose account is legal and had been in the job for so many years. The connection between those people is not relevant to any gang or organizations but they operate like one, the advantage is both parties earn money while in their eyes is "legal". This is normal settings in my country(3rd world country), you have several taxis and you need to hire drivers to operate, its up to you if you're gonna hire legit drivers or not, the only difference is that the undocumented driver is cheaper. And how do I know these things, I work in a fastfood chain in Waterloo, you need to identify which order the driver will pickup and the delivery driver need to verify the order by the order number through the app but sometimes you can see the Account's photo is different from the delivery driver, so yeah, that's the gist of it. I have no idea why modern countries like Canada and America are so "dumb" or lack of critical thinking when it comes to crimes like this, but I guess people and politicians are the same all over the world. And now, they are bringing more people without checking their background, if there's any criminal record or such, oh yeah, speaking of that, how do you verify those records from another country if those records can be produced with 3rd party company in which an employee from a government institution is behind it to make it more look like it is legit.

Canadian that spent 16 years in Japan. I went as an individual. I stayed as an individual. Married a Japanese. Came back to Canada for a pension and can't wait to leave. I were in Japan and if I saw a group of Canadians arrive expecting Japan to change for them, I would have been severely pissed off with them. Every other country and normal immigrant that came as an individual or individual family probably thinks the same way I do. No one in any country likes to see "Mass Immigration" and even Japan these days are looking at an influx of half a million Indians and who knows how many more Africans. This will change Japan and they'll turn a good culture into their shitty culture and I'm not happy with that. I liked being one of few. Yes I had American, Canadian, Australian, Kiwi and British friends as well as Japanese friends. But we were all individuals that adopted the way of living in Japan into our everyday lives. If I go back, I don't want to be in india. It'd be like living in Brampton. What pisses me most is the attitude of that muslim guy. Yes you are out breeding us but not all majorities rule. In Malaysia, Malays rule despite being the smaller population. They have more Chinese and Indians there but they have to live under the rule of the native Malays. So you will have to do the same in Canada despite if your population is larger. You adapt to this country. The country doesn't convert to accomodate you. Individuals are key. Groups are the bane of all countries.

Oh man, as soon I saw the title and the thumbnail, I just knew the comments were going to be insane 😂 As much as Canada is lauded as a nice and welcoming country, it's open season when it comes to Indians. I work in a typical corporate environment, where all conversations are filtered through a layer of professionalism, and just the other day my director made a joke about how he's glad we don't have Indians on our team. Everyone laughed and we moved on as if it was a completely normal thing to say about an ethnic group. The entire province of Ontario is starting to look like Brampton. I live in Guelph and I just quit my job after only 3 months because I had to keep telling my supervisor that I didn't speak Indian!!! Sorry I don't believe that Indian dude, from my personal experience of working for an Indian company, being the only white employee, not 1 of them ever told 100% truth! I went to a shopper drug store in Brampton at Queen and Kenny over the summer. It was extremely dirty. It looked like a garbage truck dumped it load all over theparkinglot. Locals walked through it like it was a normal thing. I just hope they don't take over Georgetown and ruin it too. 😢

Despite this guy’s racism he got welcomed everywhere & got food, sweet & gifts. Now imagine if he go to where European colonisers lives. He wouldn’t able to even save his camera. The population comment by the Pakistani isn't 100% accurate. Sure immigration plays a big role, but undeniably the South Asians still care about having kids and forming a strong family. In my school, most students just want to enjoy life, have kids in the far future, and they don't really care about family ties like these cultures do. They'll be tight with their parents but barely know their cousins or uncles. They'll be in their late 30s finally looking to get married and have kids, which is just not realistic biologically. 45 is the average age for menopause, and you see symptoms of menopause happen before then. Not rare to see a woman get perimenopausal symptoms at age 40. Meanwhile these Asians get married "young" (normal age back in the day), and they plan their future around their family's growth. Can't really blame it on immigration when other nations like Japan and Korea don't see a huge immigrant population from South Asia and still show insanely low birth rates for the locals, because they follow the secular societal standard of having one kid so you can enjoy life. South Asians could be living in a shack and still have 5 kids. We make fun of that in the west, and now our population is on a nosedive.

this is my understanding from London, lived in surrey, Langley and vancouver, its the immigrants who are the most pissed off. my friend from bc he is from fiji and it was so hard for him to get here all the tests and what not, then to get his wife in took him 7 yrs then Trudeau opens the flood gates but not to normal immigrants but to people seeking asylum, by the tens of thousands halting regular immigration.

As an immigrant who came to this country & fell in love with its culture 40 years ago, it's appalling to see how our beautiful first world country is quickly becoming a gutter. The newcomers these days are the privileged ones. All of us need to speak up, especially those of us immigrants who retain our original accents &/ non-white because our white fellow Canadians are accused of being racist whenever they do (though many could learn to be more eloquent. ie. go back to your country does NOT help)! I see it as my Canadian duty to remind "misbehaving" newcomers the reason they left their country in the first place. ie. You chose Canada for a better life, so why try to change it into the one you left? ie. Help me understand your logic? Why not leave your hate & war at the border; just like normal folks won't bring stinky garbage into their new homes. Life is challenging enough when you uprooted to a new country (especially our unforgiving cold Winter). So, just focus on the positive things in your new country & leave all your miseries behind... ie. Learn to adapt & enjoy your new country. Canada is a great country because of the love & effort of those before you, so now you are the beneficiary. Join the legacy by enhancing this beautiful country & its culture, so you can pass on this century old legacy for later newcomers to enjoy, like you do now. What dignity do you have & what kind of life lessons to your children by bullying your culture & religion into Canada at the expense of other Canadians? This will fracture Canada if everyone does that. Do you want this country to become so fractured & terrible that your descendants have to leave for a better country, like you did? Is that what your religion teaches you? Does it state it's perfectly fine to satisfy all your whims & wishes at the expense of others? Canadians are so friendly & helpful, if you need help, just ask, please don't demand. Learn the language & it's ok to speak broken/pigeon English with gestures to communicate. No one expects you to be an English scholar; you gain respect for trying. Apply some basic Canadians manners, which goes a long way... I worked my entire career with the public, I very seldom encounter negative feedback when I do the above. If they get nasty, I tell them that's definitely not the Canadian way to make friends & wish them Good Luck! I also make a point in telling the wealthy ones "Tax Avoidance is legal (I'm more than happy to show them), but Tax Evasion is not! Then reminding them....Canada will be bankrupt eventually if everyone don't pay their fair share of taxes. ie. You may not suffer, but your children/grandchildren will. Worst Case scenario, you didn't get the necessary medical care when you most needed it!!!
