I worked with a guy that was abusing the system and didn't even hide it. He said to me I'm on a student visa I'm supposed to be going to school but I'm not and then he laughed about it and I got pissed. I said something about it and I told my boss he's not even supposed to be working here and my boss told me to mind my business. That's what's going on in Canada. But this - in all fairness - applies to all foreigners in Japan, also Europeans and Americans. If highly educated Indians come to your neighbourhood, no worries. But if cheap labour force moves to your town .... well, expect some filthy behaviour and zero self-consciousness regarding their own disgusting behaviour. I'm glad Tyler is more or less neutral in his findings. It's true, many Indian's have come to Canada and I'm sure many do wish for a better life. Canadians understand this, but the methods the government of Canada is doing to push the numbers too high and too quickly is what's surprising to many. It's the accountability of the government that should be under scrutiny. If immigration was moderate and consistent, the social issues would not be as rampant, but social media loves stir the pot. This is also happening while Canada's housing infrastructure is crumbling, healthcare is deteriorating and general cost of living in Canada has skyrocketed and priced many Canadians out of simple living and enjoyment. I’m from a rural northern Alberta town with a population of less than 3000 people and the Indian demographic has probably doubled our population. The immigration of primarily Indian “temporary” immigrants is not isolated to western Canada or to large cities. Most are here on student visas but are also somehow business owners / owner operators and have since invited large families to relocate here. It has complete changed the culture of the town. Also, Alberta has one major highway from north to south and the amount of semi truck crashes along our highway and dangerous goods routes have probably quadrupled. :(

there are 10 indian "students" living next door in a single family dwelling of 3 bedrooms. they share 3 cars and do uber eats delivery (and or other food delivery) around the clock -- reason i know this is because they often pull into my drive way during ungodly hours for extended period of time and triggers my surveilance camera (aimed only at my drive way set to trigger more during night times for movements and noise), since they just park there, and blast music so loud 100 feet radius ground is shaking, the surveillance cam picks up their shift change all the time. i did try to go over twice to voice my concern, and guess what, they either dont speak english or pretend to not speak english. ok i guess. and the reason they park on my drive way is because, well, they dont shovel theirs. lol. so its easier to just use my drive way and walk to their side door. but hey i mean good for them for making a living. but its just weird and disrespectful. and i have to worry about salting my own fking drive way because if they fall, they can sue the shit out of me and i cant complain about their trespassing. bless the canadian law. so i guess for me. they dont bug me, except the fact they just use my drive way because its convenient for them, and the blasting of music middle of the night. lol also i stopped going to tim hortons a few years ago after a few consecutive diarrhea immediately after morning coffee visits. good times

I actually worked at Tim Hortons(I'm a white guy), and there were literally so many Indians that they'd order each other around in Hindi. They'd only speak English to me and the customers. I had a shift coordinator in fact who would reflexively give me orders in Hindi, and would get a little ticked off and repeat it in Hindi, and then when it clicked that I'm the only non-Hindi speaker there, he'd give 1 word orders like "Garbage" or "Sinks". The owner of the Tim Hortons also said that if I was a little slow or needed extra training, they wouldn't fire me because they don't like to keep rotating workers around, and instead would rather just retrain them. I was a tad bit slow(only because I was precise and not violating health and safety standards), and they fired me in like 10 seconds. Like my second monthly review, I was fired. I have a feeling it largely had to do with the fact that I was not Indian and didn't speak Hindi, so therefore the shift coordinators had less tolerance for me.

I’m a proud Indian who is now a Canadian citizen, and I’ve made a conscious effort to assimilate into Canadian culture and values. What bothers me is how this conversation has been reduced to blaming one group. The reality is that the Canadian government failed first by not properly managing immigration volumes, not enforcing document verification, and not honestly assessing whether the country could support such rapid population growth. That policy failure created pressure on housing, jobs, and social systems long before resentment followed. We also need honesty within the Indian community. Some Indians struggle to adapt being overly loud, culturally rigid, and sometimes lacking empathy for Canadian norms and shared public spaces. I studied Canadian and Indigenous history in school, and respecting that history matters. Assimilation doesn’t mean abandoning your culture, but it does mean understanding and respecting the society you chose to join. Cultural education should be expected, not optional. That said, one Indian doing something wrong does not make all Indians bad. Most Indian students and workers I know are hardworking, punctual, and serious about contributing. I’ve personally worked minimum-wage jobs for years, and what I noticed was not jobs being “taken,” but fewer Canadian youth willing to stay in or commit to these roles long-term. Indians didn’t replace Canadians, they filled vacancies that already existed. I also briefly volunteered helping the homeless, and what I saw was honestly shocking. It’s not that the government isn’t trying to help there are rehabilitation programs and support systems in place. The difficult truth is that a significant portion of the homeless population struggles with substance abuse and refuses treatment because it requires giving up drugs. Over time, homelessness itself starts to function like a culture, where benefits and assistance unintentionally enable continued substance use rather than recovery. This is an uncomfortable reality people don’t like to talk about. None of this is simple. Immigration didn’t break Canada, and neither did one community. Poor policy, weak enforcement, lack of accountability, and refusal from governments and individuals to adapt responsibly is what brought us here. Blame is easy. Honest solutions are not.

As a non Indian Canadian born and raised I’m disgusted where my country has gone. Our population has doubled since 1980, not by birth rate, but because of the amount of Indians that have immigrated here. Unfortunately, they have no desire to assimilate, they bring their own culture and they stay in their own communities. The government offers tax breaks for businesses, hiring foreign workers over people born in Canada, leaving the youth without any part-time work. On top of that some of my favourite restaurants growing up, I haven’t eaten at in years because it’s been taken over by Indians, the quality of food goes down, you end up getting food poisoning and if you aren’t in their community, you get worse service and get charged more than what an Indian would pay at the same restaurant. They don’t understand cleanliness or sanitation, they leave their garbage and waste on the street and dump it in random locations, and quite frankly have no respect for anyone who lives here or the country that has taken them in. I feel like a minority of my own country and I truly don’t understand what being Canadian means anymore because I’m pretty sure being Canadian is a thing of the past. Most of my friends have moved further north, to Vancouver island or moved out to the prairies to get away from them and higher prices as everything gets more expensive, thanks to our government, caring more about immigrants than citizens. When a family gets accepted to come here they bring their parents their aunts and uncles their brothers and sisters on temporary visas, they also collect social assistance as soon as they arrive and when their visas expire, they have no desire to go back, which has resulted in thousands of illegals remaining here. I mean I get it. Why would you go back when you’re getting treated better here and are given food, housing and an allowance every month but it’s gotten to a point where India outnumbers Canadians. I want them all sent back.

My wife's family is from Canada. When we go visit family and take our son to the parks, there are tons of Indian kids that don't even speak English being watched by old Indian men who do no parenting and also speak no English. You can't argue with them or it's a "hate crime." Local Canadians live in fear of the government protecting these worthless people.
