What an embarrassing time for America ... this second term is even worse than the first. Trump is destroying this country on a world-wide stage. Family and colleagues from around the world are asking if we know more ... but I guess most Americans are dumbfounded by all these stupid moves.

One disagreement Mr Trudeau: Trump is “very smart guy”? Nope. He certainly is “clever” which is what delineates smart from “criminal con man”. Clever is what he uses for his grift, with American citizens and the national stage as his target market, to line his pockets along with the pockets of his cronies, the ultra rich. The bright note is that there is a huge collective of Americans who see Trump for what he is. We are NOT supportive of any of this nonsense since 1/20/2025. Musk/Trump/Vance are an embarrassment we did not vote for. We stand with Ukraine, Canada, and Mexico who echo normal reason.

I am Canadian. Totally disagree with the tariff war. The personal animosity and pettyness between Trump and Trudeau should not negatively affect folks on both sides of the border. Hopefully this stuff will stop when Trudeau finally leaves the stage at the end of the month.

Why does he continue to provoke the US president? He resigned and rather step down with dignity, he chooses cause as much damage before he leaves. Justin Trudeau bears full responsibility for the burdens Canadians now face. He imposed and continually increased the carbon tax, draining the pockets of hardworking citizens while offering little in return. He neglected Canada’s NATO commitments, failing to uphold our obligations on the world stage. His tenure has been marred by repeated ethical scandals, each one a testament to his disregard for integrity in leadership. \n\nNow, as the weight of his missteps comes full circle, he faces the consequences of his own policies. The economic strain he placed on his own people is now mirrored in the tariffs and pressures from the United States—a reckoning of his own making. And even in his resignation, rather than stepping aside with dignity, he continues to provoke President Trump with baseless rhetoric, further endangering Canada’s relationship with its greatest ally. \n\nTrudeau’s legacy will not be one of progress, but of division, economic hardship, and lost opportunities. Consequences? I think Canadians are suffering the consequences of failed leadership just as we have here in the US. With the election of Donald Trump it's perfectly clear that the policies have changed here in the US. I wouldn't be too worried about the future of either countries at this stage. I predict by this time next year there we still be lights in my home, gas in my car, food on my table, and love in my heart for my Canadian brothers and sisters to the north. Future looks Bright! :)

Canada really don't understand the equation, they stand nowhere infront of US. They should better comply with Trump to avoid more tariffs or possible sanctions. All it would take is China to accept delivery of products impacted by US tariffs at the pre-tariff price. If I lead China I would be phoning every nations leader personally guaranteeing to do just that before another threat came out of Trump. While it might cost China in the short run, seeing the world wide collapse of the USA's economic influence in favour of China would serve them well.\nFor the last century the USA has learned to played reasonably well with others, shedding off most of its protectionist policies in favour of cooperation and negotiation. This made it a strong economic nation that individuals wanted to become citizens of. Nations trusted the USA, but in just a few days under Trump that century long journey to world leadership has been fully undermined.\nThe most known Statue Of Liberty quote of “Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free.” was the old America, a much different time than today. The poem under Trump's policies should read “Take our tired, our poor, our huddled masses yearning to escape persecution”.

I knew an undocumented young woman who was living with her 1 yr old baby and her undocumented husband in NC. He started beating her up really badly so she called the cops. The cops arrested them both, even though he was the clear aggressor. They sent the baby off to cps and cps sent the child back to her extended family in Mexico. She spent 3 years in the county jail, never having access to proper medical care, fresh air & greenery or money for commissary or phone minutes. She was still in the early stages of learning English so she was unable to properly advocate for herself before she made bilingual friends and she couldn’t even read the English books in the county jail. Last I heard, she had finally been transported to a huge ICE detention facility in Georgia, but her case was still in limbo and she still had not seen her daughter 4 years later?\n\nShe was such a sweet young woman and what happened to her was so cruel, inhumane and totally undeserved. People who advocate for mass deportation are asking for millions of more stories just like hers, but with even more violence, since Trump would have to use storm troopers to do raids and papers checks so they can kidnap the 20 million people they want to deport.

And not everyone here has a gun, there are some people that just don't like them for different reasons.\n If you come to a place like Texas yea just about everybody here has one I do, but there are still people even here that don't like um. You can't be an expert on another country by being there 100 something days. And I don't understand where everybody has this impression that all Americans are fat. Americans come in all shapes and sizes the same as everywhere els and other parts of the country are more health conscious than others.
