I have a house behind me that was defunct and the owner purchased it about 4 years prior with an intent of demolishing it and building a new home. It is only now - 4 years later - that they are finally allowed to build, since the city and other people around stopped them through permitting applications countless times. The only thing I had to say about it was that if the construction causes direct damage to my property - then pay for it; if not, then I should have no say in this at all.

Just remember that a lot of people have a before and after view. Back in the day a school photo looked like a meeting of every country and now in some areas, those photos look like one country only. My point is that people grew up in a multicultural environment. Very rarely did one group have so much impact with so few people in such a short time. Why didnt the government put a cap or a stop specifically just for Indian people? I never ask for Cerb when covid happen, never ask food bank my part time job can fullfill that, paid my fare for using transportation, paid my rents and utilities on time and paid my credit cards. Lastly i never complaint focus on my study and I get good high paying jobs. I am proud to contribute to Canadian Economy as an Immigrant.\n\nThe question is are they doing the same? If you cannot sustain yourself dont add your burden to the country. We (Canadian Residence) paid heavy taxes from our sweat to cover ur burden and debt. As what experienced, i knew so much international students from India, Nepal who are students here, some work with them having a lot of issues now. Not enough money to pay their tuition/rent/food. As when they enter, parents support them and after months or a year , they stop sending money. It affects student as can’t really afford to support themselves, having hard time to find job as there are limit to their work hours. It will not pay off their bill entirely. It end up looking for cash job everywhere. There is no much cash job anymore. \n\nGovernment should take action to this!!! \n\nLucky those who came years ago as they were not much international students as to compare today. \n\nI feel this students but government keep bringing them to Canada without checking this situation…. Unemployment is real!!!

It is mostly the fault of the incompliant and corrupt Liberal government for the massive influx of unskilled India workers/students. Under previous sane governments, there were manageable caps that controlled the influx and allowed for proper immigration of vetted and skilled workers, but the Liberals stopped properly vetting people and basically opened the flood gates. For a Canadian company to hire foreign workers, they used to have to prove there were no Canadian workers to do that job, so foreign workers were mostly used in seasonal agriculture work, but due to very shady government deals with big corporations Trudeau approved paying wage subsidy and turning a blind eye to Canadian workers so Singh Hortons (and many other big businesses) could have workers for a cut rate and the government tax dollars paid up to 70% of wages and welfare. Also Foreign workers think they can stay here once their visa's expire, refusing to leave. There is simply no need for Canada to bring in over a million Indians that are in hard times in their own country. Our welfare or culture can't stand it. Not sure if you missed it or not, but India's foreign minister at the start of summer, thanked Trudeau for taking all their criminals, and low caste people. But People need to follow proper immigration policy, and not buy a ticket to Canada from a India scammer guaranteeing citizenship, which has been the case as well. I personally used to love indians. Especially punjabis. It's so bad in New Brunswick that people who were born here are becoming homeless because the gready landlords are doubling rent and they cannot afford to pay it and get evicted. There is no work here for us let alone anyone else. No one person can work full time at 15.00 per hour and afford rent. It has to stop. The crime rate is so bad than it was 3 years ago and as for the food cost example 5.09 for a dozen eggs. 4.99 for a loaf of bread. It just goes on and on. It's all about genetics. If you are short, ugly and physically weak (vast majority of Indian men), racism will automatically follow you. Improve your genetics, Indian people. Arranged marriages have destroyed your genetics where a person that looks like a donkey and just as smart can find a partner via an arranged marriage and reproduce their bad genes. In my country, for a man to find a partner, we have to go to the gym, we have to physically look good, learn to defend ourselves, educate ourselves, get high paying jobs etc to find a partner. An Engineering degree won't automatically get us a partner here, we have to look good and fight for the women's love. Ugly, short, weak men who can't defend themselves, they don't get to find a partner and they die off and their weak genes die off with them. Sometimes if they are ugly and weak but super rich they will find a wife but that's a rare case. Indians haven't kept up with world standard genetics of strength, height, looks, physical ability. They have always relied on Maths and Science degrees and overseas high paying jobs to find a partner and be respected. Guess what, my neighbor is 6 foot 2 inches in height, he goes to the gym, works hardand when he walks down the street, everyone respects him and talks nicely to him and he doesn't need an Engineering degree to get that respect. He works in a factory but the world respects him because of good genetics and he can beat you up if you say anything to him. It's his good genetics that get's him respect. I have ugly, short and weak Indian friends and they get racial attacks all the time. I also have good looking, tall and strongly built Indian friends and they don't experience racism. It's all in your genetics. So stop reproducing weak genes and let them die off and in 50 - 70 years, Indian genetics will improve with tall, strong good looking men and women and your desirability overseas will improve meaning you could go anywhere in the world and be respected, you wouldn't have to do Engineering and Math based courses to balance off bad genetics or to get respect etc. You would be able to get service based jobs with little education with good genetics, like Realestate Agent, Management, Customer Service roles, Business roles etc. Not just stuck in a computer lab crunching numbers like most Indian men going overseas do now.

Lived in the US for 4 years and bought 5 rental properties in my home country. Now I'm retired at the age of 34. It was the best decision I have ever made. I am now building a business and want to expand to Canada for my actual retirement. The US is great to work but when it's time to settle down I'd rather choose a slower country.\n\nBut tbh it can also be achieved in a good republican state in the US but I am assuming there will be a civil war there with all the woke ridiculous stuff happening there. Black lady needs to stop misusing laws, if she is having a hard time think about the person who spent years to build enough equity to buy a home. I think I saw more than 100000 qualified germans leaving each year. But why stay? To be taxed so that an engineer gets 1.5-2 times the janitor? With german social security unemployed get more than many working people. Rent covered, money for food and more and social payments leave you with more than the one working for twice your income because he pays rent, bills, etc.\nThere was an article I think in DW years ago about unemployed young people working for 2 years paid by gov and leaving the job market forever. There are a lot more reasons to leave Canada other than the insanely high cost of living, which comes from inflation, a hidden tax, the higher crime or greater drug use. It's time for Americans to stop paying taxes!

Decades ago real worker ID nearly passed but the rich would’ve had to pay a fair wage to all the menial jobs they require for their lavish lifestyles.\n\nReal worker ID with SERIOUS penalties AND jail time anyone hiring workers with Real Worker ID would STOP all of this crap accompanied with ceasing the stealing & abuse of our tax dollars to support this crap.

Context:\n\nAround a year or two ago driving back home with some friends after visiting Niagara Falls, we were pulled over because my car’s headlights were off. I didn’t stop immediately when they turned their police lights on because I didn’t think I did anything wrong but did eventually pull over after realizing they were indeed trying to pull me over. \n\nAfter I pulled over, two officers quickly got out and one of them rushed to my passenger side mirror and very aggressively yelled at me, “why didn’t you pull over” etc. I was very surprised by his reaction and quickly explained that I was a fairly new driver (about 6 months of driving experience at the time). He went away for a few seconds to cool off and later apologized for his behavior (very respectable).\n\nMain Focus:\n\nNow, the interesting part is while the officer was cooling off, the other officer wanted not just my ID but everyone else’s’ in my car as well. I still to this day do not think that is normal, however, I haven’t been pulled over enough to confirm that. Anyways, some of my friends didn’t have officials IDs on them but they did have their student ID. The police wanted that as well. They took a long time to what I assume, conduct a very thorough check on everyone’s ID, making sure nothing is suspicious and everyone is from America. The whole encounter had to be around 20 to 30 minutes long, it was very very long. \n\nTakeaway:\n\nFrom what I experienced that day, I strongly believe that people were at least crossing the northern border around 1 year ago and most likely even earlier. There are bus services that go straight to NYC from Buffalo which is right across the border from Canada to the US. However, I’m not sure if you need ID to use those services. \n\nFor those who read this comment, use this information however you will, I hope it helps even just a little in making some sort of change. \n\nHopefully, there won’t be an increase on how long it takes me to get past border patrol to Canada and back ?. I also hope that our taxes decrease because too much of it are being payed for services to aliens when some of our locals are still stuck in the streets.

Everyone should just stop paying rent at the same time and see what happens.

Stop the blame game , shame on you blaming immigrants and foreign home owners these are a tiny proportion of the population and homes . Real estate agents are the biggest culprits in the rise of prices. I’ve been there several times as telling me my house is worth hundreds of thousands more or we can say exaggerated by 30% or more then my house is on the market for a year which is nota big deal for an agent they have 40 other listings and access to more moneymakers , I’ve sold my last 2 homes personally within days or weeks which were reasonably priced not overpriced this made everyone happy . Canadian companies are the problem as well. They pretend they can't find Canadians to work (been experiencing this since 1976) and then hire temporary foreign workers, and the illegal immigrants. The Canadian business owners then get Canadian government grants and subsidies from 50% to 70% to cover the temporary workers wages and more than likely when they hire illegal immigrants as well, along with kick backs for providing housing. Canadian companies also pay those workers under the table, especially in the hospitality industry, and lay off Canadians and keep the temporary foreign workers and pay them under the table. Now if the Canadian government would offer grants and subsidies when Canadian companies hire Canadians, more Canadians would have full time jobs with livable wages. The Canadian government has to stop allowing foreign entities from buying Canadian businesses as they only have to hire 1 Canadian. After that the foreign entities who bought Canadian businesses are allowed to bring in as many of their workers as they want. That has to be stopped as well.

If all the trees in Canada obsorb the1.5%of the CO2 ten times over how come we have a carbon tax? Our corrupt system allows the elected party to make key decisions. If I was Prime Minister. I would Ban the immigrant Visa program for the next 10 years. I would deport anyone who has overstayed there welcome (those with expired visas) or are here (illegally) and now (not documented) \n\nThat alone would take many out of the shelters, homes, rentals, streets that should not be in the Country anymore. Leaving the resources and the people who work and volunteer for those resources to help the Canadian people (which would be the prime reason for this) Canadians first ! \n\nI would cut the Carbon Tax. Lower the Property Tax. Put a cap on all Strata fees. Lower the deficit. \n\nBuild more Hospitals and treatment centers. Put a ban on drugs and safe injections (as we know there is no such thing) \n\nMake it mandatory for those in need due to drug and mental issues (that have been diagnosed with such) to go to treatment centers (while building more centre's and hiring qualified professionals workers) to stop the crisis. \n\nChange laws on crimes and the time and penalty behind them. Doubling and tripling the time served and raising bail fees by 50% to keep folks that have criminal pasts off the streets <---- for first time offenders. \n\nFor those that have multiple offenses. Quadruple the jail times and put bail amounts 100% more then what they are now. \n\nGive those that kill, ra*e, torture, (and things along that nature (the death penalty) \n\nI would remove the mandate for Electric Vehicles for Canada. Where only 1 vehicle per manufacturer would have to be Electric. So if somebody wants it. It's there but the majority would be. Gas / Diesel etc. \n\nI would build more housing / schools / retirement homes / hospitals / recreation centre's / Library and walk in Clinics. \n\nI would write a law that the roads in Canada must be fixed properly. Not just patched. \n\nI would raise the taxes on Multi Million and Billion Corporations and those that make $400.000 or more to pay a higher tax. While those that make less than $400.000 get taxed less. \n\nI would Lower the provincial taxes by 2% effective immediately and the Minimum wage across all provinces would be $17.75 an hour for full time workers (over 32 hours per week) with .25 cent yearly increases until 2030 to be reassessed. \n\nI would give Tax cuts to those who want to open businesses and build and sell Canadian Products to make sure Canadian Goods are affordable to make. Still have a profit to slow down overseas production creating more Canadian jobs for Canadian People. \n\nEvery Worker that works 24 hours or more weekly is getting Benefits making it mandatory for all types of business owners to make benefits available to the workers and ensuring the plan covers a minimum of 50% throughout the entire year. \n\nI would raise the pension to those who have worked 25+ years in Canada and remain in Canada as a retiree for a minimum of 6 months of the year 5% \n\nShrinkflation will stop. With major corporations getting fined if they don't smarten up and change the way the make and package goods. \n\nI would put a cap on Car insurance for those that have never been in an accident before and lowering the monthly cost by 10% \n\nCondo sizes would have to increase the square footages by a minimum of 10% of the national average to make sure that there is enough room and peaceful environment for those that live in those spaces. \n\nI would ban that you would have to pay additional for parking at every Rental property including lockers, that the property owners purchased during pre construction as well as lower the public parking costs nation wide in parking garages by 20% and cap it. \n\nI would Lower transit costs nation wide by 20% and cap it. \n\nI would bring back texts books and paper to schools so kids read more. Write more. Understand more. Learn more for those in grade 8 and under. \n\nI would ban every Pride event in Canada and charge people fines if they hang rainbow colored Canadian flags anywhere on any property including ban clothing with those colors on the Canadian Flags immediately. Failure to do so would also Ban same sex marriage the following year on the same date that the first ban was made if Failure to comply. \n\nI would ban any book or literature for kids that is LGQTB written. \n\n& that is just the beginning.

The best thing that can happen and to be clear I don't have a problem with immigrants but we dont have homes for the people already living here the people living here cant afford to pay more for them an the fact is the only thing our schools and politicians have been doing is taking advantage of them on top of the people already in canada.
