May the United States powers that be reconsider this current tariff and fentanyl issues. As an American citizen I wish to work with Canadians and your government. Generations of common goals and friendship need to be upheld. My wish is for reconciliation.

It's not always true Canada doesn't stand with a murderer. A convited murderer of former Bangladesh President along with most of his family members has been sheltered in Canada. Despite repeated requests from BD government to extradite him Canadian government especially Mr. Trudeau didn't bother to take any action. It's like kind of cherry picking!

Canada has long been the 51st state of the US, as they follow the US so closely politically, ecumenically, culturally, foreign policy wise, etc. Canada has been following and listening to the US fed government even closer than some of the US states, e.g. California (leftists) & Texas (rightists). Maybe he should discuss the constant duty fees and border crossing fees for anything shipped from Canada to the USA that have been constantly rising for years; fees that his very own government sets. Maybe he should talk about Canada demanding that anyone that sells anything foodwise to anyone in Canada from the USA has to have a special Safe Food For Canadians Food License or the goods being shipped will be rejected at the US owners cost, seized by the border and held in storage at the US owners cost, and destroyed and billed to the US owner. A license that no one actually needs considering other legal and ethical controls are in place to prevent unsafe foods from crossing the border, but Canada reserves the right to make us pay for one or we suffer consequences. Maybe he should discuss how they left their borders open to migrants, making it much easier for criminal migrants to get into the US. Maybe he should understand that the US has always been bleeding money to Canada on a trade level for about half a century with it getting much worse in the last decade because Canada's government are greedy. Before any of you come at me, keep in mind I work in the food ingredient industry as an order processing, logistics and customs & border crossing and have done so for 15 years. These tariffs were a long time coming and if any of you are on the inside of trade in the manner I am, then you know what I'm saying is true. The US is constantly paying additional tariffs by way of duty fees, customs fees, certain applied taxes (like there is literally a blueberry tax to ship US grown blueberries into Canada to prevent US blueberries from taking over the Canadian blueberry market). The blueberry tax is about 25cents per lb. which drives the price per lb. up for the seller and buyer. You wanna know why Food costs so much? All of the above with a huge side helping of GREED.

As a black female American we man, he has to do what he has to do and I applaud him for standing a a true leader. It’s going to be tough for us here, this government is selfish and this people voted him in now we all have to deal with this mess. I highly respect President Trudeau, a true leader

I am a true Patriot of Canada, but we have been living on boral time when it comes to our defense systems, including the borders. And we have depended on the U S far too long, and for that I blame the Canadian government. The Trudeau/liberals said they were going to fix it well here we are unprepared now here we are 10 years later. We need an election right now. Presidents and Prime Ministers come and go. Once their 'term is over' they simply 'walk away'. World leaders need to be men or women of integrity and honesty who 'do the right thing'. With 'great power' comes 'great responsibility'. You only 'give responsibility' to someone who has the wisdom and expertise and understanding in order to both 'hold' and 'govern' wisely and without fear or favor. Maybe its time for others in positions of authority in other institutions to step in and 'take control'. You would never let a child drive a super car on the highway so how much 'damage' has to happen before a world leader is not 'held to account' and his 'hands removed' from the steering wheel before there is a motor accident so large that the freeway is rendered unless and has to be totally shut down your. You cannot have total power in the hands of individuals who apparently do not possess the necessary skills knowledge and experience and wisdom that is required to fulfil the role they were elected to fulfil. A person with the mind and mentality of a child apparently is not a fit person to be running the economy of any nation. May Canada ?? remember its roots and may we all be thankful for true and honest leaders who have integrity and do and say the right thing. Thank you Mr Prime minister. Harris voter here, you gotta do what you gotta do Canada. I don't know if I will make it through this but there are people out there in worse situations with more overtly oppressive governments, so I can't complain too much. The only thing I can do is hope that the breaking point is soon where those of us who don't hold contempt for compassion and intellect rise up and show the government that we have had enough. Accept the fact that this is the leadership that we (the majority of) working, middle class Americans wanted. We are pulling the economic weight in this country and we are tired of pulling the weight of those that do not contribute.\n\n2. If you haven't already, get a job. Every business in the country is hiring. And you get paid for the work you do. And the harder you work and the more you learn, the faster you will advance, and the more you will earn. Our history has repeatedly shown that when there is a climate change, natural or man-made disaster, shortage of food occurs, then there is a high inflation, then people begin to seek scapegoats to blame the economy on.
