As a Canadian I think immigration is a good thing, but the liberal government has completely broken that system. The people coming here do not assimilate into Canadian culture and they do not respect this country. This isn't the Canada I grew up in and it's not the Canada that I want to keep living in. I was born in brampton, lived in cbridge then to b.c.! I will never go back! Heres a fun fact tho, the government opened the flood gate to immigration, red taped housing, started a catch and release program for repeat offenders, even violent ones! And made drugs decriminalised! From what I heard, there was commercials and panphlets all over differnt countries saying come to canada for a better life, its great here! Many came and because of the housing shortage due to the red tape, people were sleeping on the street in front of the government offices! Its also colder then many people that have never experienced could even imagine! Then there starting from the bottom! A chip on there shoulder thinking the gov owes them and do whatever you can to get payed! Hence why there were so many car, jewlery store, liqure store thiefts and break & enters! The cops were literally telling people to keep there car keys near the door so the thiefs can take them with no altercation! I blame turdo and sean fraser! Fun fact, sean fraser was the immagration minister then got cabnet shuffled to housing minister during turdos terms, idk what he is now but i think hes still in cabnet. I try not to be racist but this failed experiment and just plain bad math/out of touch with reality cabinet ministers are litterally making people racist! Its too many, too fast, when there manipulating the housing market by red taping it so much nobody can get a shovel in the ground! The stupidity of the gov is insane! I dont like the convervatives either as they will just swing the pendulem so far the other way too fast, i.e. cut everything! Including when they were hurting single mothers on welfare and persons with disibilities, we need somthing new, maybe a.i. or the upcomming future party, idk but this crap is wak!

Let me tell you this as a legal Indian immigrant that came here 13 years ago with my whole family. There was a balance of immigration coming in from every country which was amazing until they opened the gates to India like it’s another bus stop away from India. Since then there have been so many illiterate people that fraudulently came here and keep trying to make Canada like back home which needs to stop. The reputation of Indian people which used to be hard working and family people is getting ruined by people that come here to give back nothing to Canadian economy. People that used to come into Canada came in with a dream but now it feels like just visiting another Indian state especially Brampton……… hopefully this stops but with the monkeys that have currently taken over Canadian parliament i hardly see an end to this.

Most, if not all, African nations have legal penalties for rape. Africans are “stupid” and “can’t keep a job at McDonald’s”? The ones I know are doctors, lawyers, engineers, work in tech, living in mansions and driving cars this miserable white trash of a man would only dream of. The Indian community isn't just visiting Canada; they are building, funding, and healing it every single day.

What invasion? We all came here legally with passports and valid visas. WE work jobs, help our community, isnt that canadian enough? It would be really nice to see them round up in Surrey BC and Brampton Ontario these communities that are infested with drug dealing and extortion of their middle class families back home. While the "One-Touch" digital system exists to speed up paperwork, every asylum seeker must still provide biometrics (fingerprints) and undergo a security/background check against global law enforcement databases upon arrival. 2. Denied claimants keep their health benefits. TRUE (But temporary). Benefits continue as long as the legal process is active. Because Canada allows for appeals and judicial reviews, a person whose claim is initially "denied" by the board is still considered to be "in the process" and keeps coverage until all legal appeals are exhausted. 3. There are 500,000 "lost" people due for deportation. FALSE. This number is a massive inflation. Lot of people....the original citizens feel the burn since the world around them is changing. It's natural that they harbor these ill feelings. Most of them are ill informed and have these racist views. It's true for every immigrant community that emigrated from Europe as well. You have Irish immigrant towns, little Italy's, China towns, little India's, polish neighborhoods in Chicago etc ...these kind of neighborhoods are all over north America (USA & Canada). This is natural. Assimilation happens in 1 or 2 generations. Economic expansion and fulfilling social security benefits for the older generation needs population growth and a new younger workforce. This is achieved thru immigration of skilled labor force of all kinds. Population dynamics and demographics keep changing all the time and it has happened thru out human history. Now we are living in an interconnected and inter dependent world. It's better to adapt to change and move on and retain your loyalty to the country they migrated to and contribute positively to their economy and try to assimilate as much as possible and be aware of the sensitivities. This new immigration is from Asia and they are of different ethnicities and cultural background unlike european immigration that happened earlier. So some backlash to these new people's is to be expected and there will be lot of scapegoating and stereotypical epithets that will employed to demonize the new immigrant groups. We all have to adjust assimilate and move on in this great circle of life.

Am a christian from India, who had a PR back in 2013 and had traveled there for the paperwork. I traveled around Toronto for around 15 days and it was a lovely experience back then. All but the Indians I encountered treated me well, to the indians I was another competition for their piece of land (so as to say). I unfortunately didn't settle in Canada due to some family emergency and had to come back to India for good, but on hind sight I think it was for the best, considering how bad the situation is in Canada. If one migrates to another country they should assimilate in the existing culture so that they can keep alive the very soul of the land they moved to, not try to make it another India...

here's the problem culturally they're completely different than you Canadians. I agree that immigrants should adapt local culture and assimilate but I do not think immigrants have to be exatcly the same. bruce Lee adapted local culture while adding something new and beneficial for the locals. If the things you bring is beneficial to the locals, then I do not think it is problematic if you bring them in while keeping ur original identity. I’m an exporter, if your exports align with destination country’s customs and at least certain aspects of it. It increases your export success rate. On contrary, if there is nothing that connects the locals, it will doom to failure.

I was the lawyer invited to this interview, and after reading some comments celebrating the end of the PEQ, I feel the need to clarify a few things. The people affected by this are not “abusing the system.” this was the program for people that came here legally and are working. To qualify for the PEQ, they had to be working full time, they pay taxes, they speak the language. They’re fixing our roads, keeping hospitals running, welding, machining, doing the jobs most of us take for granted every single day. The hard truth is that Canadians have stopped having enough children, and we simply don’t have enough young people with the skills to fill these roles. Yes, we absolutely should invest more in education and trade programs for our youth — my employer clients are begging young people to become mechanics, welders, skilled workers, often in the regions. Most don’t take those jobs, and even when they do, training takes two to three years. Our industries need people now, or parts of the economy will stall, and that affects all of us as Quebecers and Canadians. These workers are not asking for charity. They are already on the front lines keeping key sectors alive. Ending programs like the PEQ doesn’t punish “illegals” or “free riders”; it punishes people who are already integrated, working, and contributing to the society we all share. Also, all they are asking is for the new rules to not be applied to them retroactively, only for those coming new into the country, otherwise it is rug pulling those already here that played by the rules, and when the government does it to us we don't like, on principle of fairness, whatever you think of the numbers, too high too low, doesn't matters, it is the least we can all get behind as humans.

It is time for these people to respect the decision of the government. They came here to learn and contribute, so they should return to their country and contribute there with what they have learned and gained from Canada. This is the fault of Canadians. The whole concept of Multiculturalism is a façade. What the hell did you all think would happen when you bring a bunch of people to the country but tell them they can hold on to their own beliefs and cultures? I'm sure the reason why the concept seemed like a good idea because you thought it was a way to keep immigrants out of White Canadian spaces. Fast-forward a few decades and now look at the mess it has created.

I think the government really need to start looking into Indians, Filipinos and even Nigerians with all the fake that they enter in the country with the government really need to take this seriously.. Instead of relying on immigration, Canada should focus on innovation — create robots, invest in R&D, and encourage its own population to have more children. Solving the labour shortage domestically is a long-term solution. Bringing in large numbers of people from 3rd world countries won’t fix the real issues — it may even harm the system over time. Speaking as an Indian, I can say that many of our people don’t adapt to the host country’s culture or values; instead, they often bring the same mindset that created problems back home. Look at India — poor infrastructure, declining quality of life, and a government more focused on propaganda than progress. Importing that mentality, even among the so-called “educated,” won’t benefit Canada. Core values and a willingness to evolve matter far more than degrees. Your govt should also stop permit or spending public money on building temples, mosques, or any religious structures. Why do we even need them? Faith is a personal matter — keep your beliefs and celebrations at home. Things starts with these things only.

When government leaders focus on population and economic growth that's usually is a sign that they aren't balancing the budget correctly. They're trying to increase tax revenue without increasing taxes. I'd look closer at government corruption. Overpopulation destroys the environment. Canada is one of the few places on earth that still has an environment. Russia and Australia are the other ones. Russia's strategy is to look sort of like an ogre and it's too cold. Australia's strategy is to look like they harbor too many dangerous animals and the land is too arid. Canada's strategy is to keep higher taxes than the USA and it's too cold. People tend to gravitate toward lower tax and warmer places. Fewer people is better, it doesn't matter what their race is. I did notice the Indians he talked to were patriotic to their adoptive country, that's a good sign. Host nations like when the new people assimilate.

As a Brampton raised kid, I lived there from 97' till about 2023, I'm caribbean and we have a large indian/muslim/hindu population too on our island. (Trinidad) and the issue with Brampton is: Indian people will gladly intergrade, but Canadian borns won't welcome it. Walk with me- I'll use food for an example. Every other grocery store is middle eastern/asian/african in Brampton and its becomes harder finding more western style food. I love international food, I cook it often but if you're used to burgers and pizza and only know how to make spaghetti it feels like a 'take over' These people want what they want and even though all these places are free for you to also enjoy they don't like it cause it's too 'foreign' to them. It doesn't mean there isnt still a No Frills or a Walmart or Metro, but because the african and halal store are closer and more frequent it seems like more of a convenience to others and not to you. When people say we're multi-cultural, they mean 'yeah he's brown or black but he keeps it to himself' They aren't going to go to that Sikh temple giving free food, and only go to the church at the beginning even though they're welcome to both. It's the same for Diwali and other things, white people dont care to be interested in those things, and just wonder why they get to have it at all. I do agree with that indian lady at the beginning though, with lax immigration you come in feeling like you don't need to do anything to assimilate. They're doing themselves a disservice by only helping themselves. I hate stereotypes being perpetuated onto people but like that Pakistani guy said too, you live in a bubble and you don't pay attention to that. You can go days without speaking english to someone. You can't immigrate somewhere and shut out everyone already there. I get you may not feel welcome by the white people like the ones in the beginning and so you dont mess with them, and its easy not to. But there needs to be openness with helping everyone benefit from multi-culturalism and not just some of us. There are issues with immigrants not wanting to go outside their bubble and for canadians not to want to either, It'll be hard to (with the current issues we're facing as a country) to actually blend together more.

I felt compelled to write this. I appreciate you getting both sides and also asking some "hard" hitting questions that would mostly be seen as a rhetorical with a lot of people who have a distaste for Indians (You pay international student tuition, complain about it, why are you here in the first place?). However I really appreciate that you do show the beautiful side of a community just trying to keep each other safe and well fed, while unfortunately it's a bit more explicit in the Western world that we tend to be more 'figure it out by yourself. Life yourself by your bootstraps' type of mentality. There is an immigration issue, specifically a resesntement feeling within the country, but it's still important to humanize people and communities.

Don’t know about Canada, but in US, Indians are the richest ethnic groups. Canada does attract lesser skilled Indians. However, pretty sure Indians contribute more than their share of taxes. You guys can keep on hating but all the western countries need Indians as that’s where the population is. And people work hard. They are invited. >99% Indians immigrate legally. the difference is not the color of the skin, the difference is cultural.. when people move to any country and refuse to assimilate and adopt the ways of the host country.. instead they bring their own rules and the way they did things from the country of origin. if they throw trash in the streets where they use to live they throw trash in the streets in the host country.. and again as I said on another video of yours, we use to have a sustainable model that took in high value people (most of the time) now with the liberals they have brought in everyone including criminals, those who refuse to speak English, those who want to keep the way of life they had elsewhere, uneducated, and going to fake schools that are only there to get people here on student visas. their culture is one of scams, racism, do we have good east Indians? yes 100% I have met many that I love, but over these past few years the ones who have taken over.. no.. they do not have any respect for us or even those East Indians that have been here for generations.

Integration is key for Canada as a multicultural country to coexist. Immigration needs reforming i.e.no cash jobs whatsoever, intl students will have to intl student fees, no handouts to asylum seekers who aren't from a war torn country. Highschoolers must be given priority in local jobs, it's up to the franchise owners to work their schedules up. It's ok if the cost of the product increases. This will help wages keep up with inflation. No free pregnancy trips, if you want to have your child born here make sure you pay up.

Canada has open door policy and keeps taking all sorts of people from all parts of world without verification, checks and balances. Learn from Gulf countries open your markets let young, educated people come to your country establish businesses, provide you services and if possible, they will bear children for you to increase your population.
