My problem with the doom and gloom is people love to blame all our problem on the current PM and “wokeness”. I am not saying JT and the Liberals don’t deserve any criticism they do but all the time it’s for all the wrong reasons. Public Housing is a provincial issue, Healthcare is a provincial issue zoning is a municipal issue. However all of these issues are made worse by lack of public housing funding (looking at you Doug Ford) and nimbyism at the municipal level (looking at you Rob Ford and almost every mayor large Canadian cites have had). My parents hate JT now because property prices came down slightly but they loved him during Covid when prices went through the roof. When the liberals implemented the mortgage stress test they hated him and voted conservative in 2019 because Andrew Scheer went on the news and said he will get rid of it. When the liberals got rid of the stress test on first time homebuyers they loved the liberals again. They are property developers so they don’t mind paving over the Agricultural land reserve but god forbid a fourplex is built in our neighborhood. However I am not too cynical I have seen progress by the current government AFTER THEY WHERE -20pts in the polls. Now I just hope the Tories don’t get rid of the Housing accelerator fund and other funds that will make a impact in 10 years.

In case anyone is wondering why so many Indians are trying to flee Canada here it is. Under Trudeau and the liberal government Canada was basically giving a free pass to anyone who wants to come to Canada through colleges and universities, if you get into a Canadian school, you can get a study permit (which also allows you to work for 20h a week). Additionally after the schooling you are given a guaranteed work permit for the same duration as the schooling (if you went to school 2 years you get a 2 year permit, 4 years you get a 4 year permit, ect.) A Canada and immigration agencies (for some reason) basically advertised this to India as a guaranteed way to get permanent residence in Canada. Canadians hated the massive flood of people coming into Canada (about a million a year at its peak, which for a smaller country like canada is equivalent to 10 million people coming into the USA every year). This is really unpopular with voters of course (in part because of the housing, food, and low skill work shortages it created), and the next Canadian election is this year. So the conservative government has vowed to massivly decrease the number of immigrants coming into Canada and the Liberal government knowing that this can be used against them in the next election is decreasing the amount of PR cards they are given (like a Canadian green card) as well as the people they are letting in in total. Now as the (mostly Indian) immigrants work permits expire and they will soon be kicked out of the country or no longer legally be allowed to work, they are fleeing to NYC to try to take advantage of the sanctuary city (something that does not exist in Canada).

Basically, for the past four years, Biden, Harris and the Democrat Party have spent hundreds of billions of US tax dollars flying illegal immigrants in and basically leaving America’s borders in Mexico and Canada wide open to mass illegal immigration. Then they lied to the American people about the real numbers and how bad the problem really was. In the past few years, the Democrats have spent billions throughout all of our federal agencies via misappropriated US taxpayer funds that were earmarked for American citizens or American infrastructure and development, then used these misappropriated, taxpayer funds to provide housing, food, education, medical care, and in most cases, luxury hotels. Just within the past two weeks FEMA spent over $500 million to provide luxury hotels for illegal immigrants yet a few weeks ago they were still claiming that they didn’t have enough money to help American citizens who suffered catastrophic loss during recent hurricanes and wildfires. The simple fact that Democrats got more upset that Elon Musk bought Twitter than they are, that their own political party in government for the past four years, has literally been holding them at gunpoint and forcing them to pay taxes so that they could steal it or launder it into their own campaigns and pockets is literally disturbing! WTF!!!! If any of those other federal agencies are ran or funded the way U.S. AID were, with the massive corruption, misappropriation, fraud and theft of taxpayer funds, then I hope DODGE goes through an completely audits, every single federal agency in the United States. Of late, JT ( Liberal party) has become the whipping boy of Canada for all wrong reasons especially for the intake of a large number of international students and no one seems to be blaming the Conservative party that actually removed  the cap in 2014.  In 2014, in line with the International Education Strategy published by the  Government of Canada, the ruling dispensation decided to raise the number of international students from around 240,000 to over 450,000 by the year 2022. \n\nAccordingly in 2014, the then ruling dispensation (Conservative party) enhanced the number of international students visas to 327 thousand from the previous cap of 240 thousand.  In 2015, the figure went upto 352 thousand, representing almost a 47% increase  by CPC during their last 2 years in office .  As of 2023, there are over 1.5 million students holding study permits in Canada. \n\nIt is a known fact and no Canadian can sweep it under the carpet that the economic impact from the contribution by international students was felt across the entire country. From a mere $ 9 billion in 2014 it went to $12.8 billion in 2015 and it further enhanced to 15.5 billion in 2016. \n\nBy 2022, the Canadian government reported that the annual economic contribution of international students had increased to $22.3 billion, greater than exports of auto parts, lumber or aircraft. \n\nNow it is for the Canadians  to decide  as to who should be blamed  for  if Canadians feel that their country has become like a third world country- the international students who had contributed more than $22.3 billion to the exchequer of the govt  in the last 10 years or both the mainstream political parties namely Liberal Party and Conservative  Party  that failed the Canadians by opening up the flood gate to international students with  their eyes set only on the economic contribution  by international students  without  realising the after effect of huge unchecked  immigration of students. A myopic approach by the successive governments has brought in all sorts of chaos,  unrest, unemployment, shortage of houses, increase in cost of living etc..etc....to the Canadians. I can only sympathise with Canadins who are facing undue hardship and mental agony because of the wrongdoings of successive governments while worrying about the future of my ward who is pursuing  three years study program there.

If I am thinking this then there are a lot of others thinking the same thing. The liberals will lose if they don’t do something with the international students I think that’s the number one source spot for everybody we want them gone. There is way too many. We don’t have the infrastructure and they’re taking jobs away from our own Canadians. Is there a way that they can be forced to work up north or somewhere, where work is needed not in the highly populated areas. Maybe they can be promised that they stay there for 10 years otherwise they’ll run back.

I see no potential anymore to stay in Canada. While many countries have changed due to global factors, many changes in Canada can be traced back to the policy issues and politics (all levels of gov but especially federal gov). That includes: 1) mass immigration (at a time when we have a housing crisis and most of ppl living here cannot afford a place (to buy or rent)), 2) crime - this is directly related to changes introduced by the federal liberals, 3) drugs - federal liberals again, 4) housing crisis - all levels of gov - most of people in Canada cannot afford a place to buy or rent - what kind of country are we???, 5) economy (GDP/capita has been decreasing for 2 yrs now, investment per worker has been stagnant or decreasing, productivity) - our economy is real estate, education and public sector, 6) deficit/fiscal irresponsibility - all levels of gov but federal liberals are exceptionally good at this. All paid for by Canadian taxpayers. This is criminal...two sides of the story here i can assume...but both sides are at fault...the tenant is a criminal and the landlord should have done more...put pressure on the landlord and tenants court...the landlord and tenants organization is a joke...no one takes them serious because they have a huge back load of court cases is not an excuse...the government wants more housing with out properly funding the courts and they are costing owners money 3 fold. It's a systematic virus...these figures these landlords quoted do not even include the damage the location has after the entitled criminal tenant leaves behind. Also this is not a mental heath issue, its just a plain purposely planned out criminal act. If they are criminally charged and convicted i am sure they will be comfortable in a 10 X 8 cell for 2 years with free rent, utilities and 3 square meals a day. It's multifaceted. Liberals opened up the flood gates with policies making it very easy for people to immigrate to Canada and increased immigration numbers. It's no longer tied to what Canada can support based on services, resources, and housing. It's simply: Come on in. Second, I've watched a few videos on Youtube showing how immigration is almost a form of trafficking at this point. Immigration companies are making money hand over fist promising the moon to students and people who want a better life and when these poor people get here they end up in crowded lodging with horrible job prospects. A lot of this goes back to the government laxing immigration policies and not being firm on how much we can bring in. This tsunami of immigration has impacted health services, governmental services, and the lives of Canadians. We need to do this smart or not at all. It's frustrating and the frustration needs to be put where it's due, on government and policy but it's also impacting the people and community around us. :( It really isn't the Canada of 10 years ago.

Why is this constantly debated on social media and the gov doesn't stop it? Do they never look at social media for any other reason than to try and arrest people for bad tweets? When I was earning a fraction of what I earn now I was able to save nearly half my pay cheque and now that I earn significantly more I can't even save. It follows that 40% would get priced out.\nI do not excuse the Liberals, they knew Harper said that those new 20% also had to have a 15-17 year old kid from 2012 to 2017, and they did nothing about the missing homes they'd continue needing.\nNo, Harper also did nothing about the new homes they'd need, he instead offered tax rebates for green energy retrofits, even further proving that Conservatives care only about those who already have money.

I never voted for Trudeau. EVER! And before you think I am a CP supporter, I am not. I am not a Conservative. Yet when he came to power I knew it would be a disaster for this country. In the last 10 years Trudeau's Administration--or considered lack thereof--has just devastated us. His Liberal Government is absolutely disgusting. I wish people would have seen that he was never a good choice. He's enabled life in Canada to just collapse. Oh as a second note, if any immigrant is watching this and is considering moving here. DON'T. And it's not because your not wanted which by the way is a growing trend with Canadians wanting less immigration. But simply for the fact that Trudeau and his policies for the past 8 years has damaged this nation beyond recognition. There is a good chance you'll end up with a low wage job or pan handling to make money (I've seen such a massive increase in immigrant pan handlers the past few years, it's unsettling). Its going to take at least a decade of reversing and implementing new policies to get Canada back on track to where it was 10 years ago, then take another decade to catch up to where it should be now. So if you do end up here and didn't heed my warning, then at the very least DO NOT VOTE LEFT (Liberal, NDP, Green) because it's these parties especially Liberals that has gotten us to this point.

Since the liberals with the leadership of Justin Trudeau took over, 10 years ago, in the federal government, Canada has become a pathetic place to live. Socialism has destroyed the entrepreneurial spirit. Taxes are very high and professional immigrants can not practice their occupation since it is not recognized by the government. The government prints money and gives generous handouts to those that don’t work with the result that the debt has reached uncharted territories and the Canadian dollar has lost more than 35% of its value against the U.S. dollar. Healthcare is horrible since you have to wait for months to see a medical professional or have an operation. The country is run by monopolies and oligopolies in banking, and telecommunications. To buy or rent a house is extremely expensive. Finally the winters are long and cold and when you see the sun you feel is a real treat!

We let too many immigrants in waaaaaaay too quickly, which is all to plan. The World Economic Forum owns our Liberal government, who doesn't care about this country. The homeless situation is man made created by Liberals. They opened boarder to the every one from across the world specially from African countries who flew their country for crimes.. Now its all over.. They also brought almost 2 million student without any housing and healthcare fix.
