I'm sure the Chinese, and the rest of the world actually would love to start trading more with Canada. I'm pretty sure there is nothing they can't supply that the US currently provides, and what would Trump hate more than a picture of Trudeau shaking hands with Xi.

It is hard to even believe the world has come to such a ridiculous, immoral place... I do not understand how people on the news can even discuss these things with a straight face..... Our president is wealthy.He is powerful.He does not have to do anything for anyone .. I’ve been waiting for my husbands marriage visa for 14 months freezing the legal visa processes for Colombians who are married to a U.S. disabled veteran citizen born and raised in the Midwest is wrong. I pray the President restarts processing legal visas for this married to U.S. citizens \nI am not able to walk well and my only caregiver is my husband so I’m stuck in colombia until my husbands visa is approved. Most people here hate President Petro he has ruined the country and now he is ruining it more we can’t speak out against him but my husband and his family do not support the President of colombia and a ton don’t believe he actually won the election. Colombia has always been a close ally I hope the CIA and Delta Force can fix things in Colombia returning to Uribe and strong U.S. allies. Other countries aren’t U.S. friend but Colombians love the U.S. and please don’t punish the people for the actions of a terrible president who ruined the economy here and is only got 1 year left in office maybe the U.S. intel system and military can “handle” the problem of a president who doesn’t have the support of the people. I can tell all the comments on this panel were made by President Trump's haters. Love all God's Creation, but, please, watch out for your neighbor. Help everybody you can, including the animals. All these people don't have to be in this Country. They have their own, why can't they make their country a much better place for them and their families to live. Look at the way they are acting. They came as guest, now they are acting like they are the owners. People commenting here fail to realize that Latinos are arguably more conservative than the white men they love to hate. Those who voted for Trump did so because they are legal immigrants/citizens, aka, Americans. Aside deportation of ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS benefiting them directly, they are also not down with the other Democrat platforms like Abortion and Trans/Gay advocacy. As a white Canadian who loves living in Canada because of how MY friends respect and invite all people of all colours in our lives - it breaks my heart to hear this.\nHER WARNING IS NO SURPRISE... I WOULDN'T EVEN WANT TO GO TO EDMONTON OR CALGARY (ALBERTA)... I consider it the Texas of Canada / very conservative in nature... like American Republicans. IF you want to live anywhere in Canada - be sure to land in provinces that are either Liberal and/or NDP in political attitude.\nI feel so bad for her and others - I hate this crap... and it has escalated since the Trump took the Presidency in 2016. \nAlberta is very much the closest thing to a American state that I hate to admit.\nPLEASE REMEMBER: there are sooo many of us that welcome you - Canada is full of every ethnicity and religion... but Edmonton, man - pick Ontario or Quebec. We are wealthy, have amazing land mass, a high standard of living, with many many many races and ethnicities.... I just love this place. Sure, governments are often lazy and stupid. You're a good guy, Tyler...and very brave to take on such a dicey subject as comparisons between Canada and The United States. We are two distinctly different cultures. Currently, America is more than frightening. The political system has really become a total mess. A two-party system (basically YES or NO) does not cater to the many grey areas of politics. The choice right now seems to be Fascist or Liberal. That's it! It was not like that during most of my professional life. Thanks to my job, I had a Green Card. But, I also could travel with little difficulty...especially in the South and Mid-West. Why? Well, because I had blonde hair, blue eyes and pale skin. I never got used to states where everyone was walking around with a gun. It scared the hell out of me. As a commercial film director and writer, (unique services - hence the Green Card) I worked just about everywhere in the US. The North East is the most similar to Canada. But get down south, and people were literally walking around with holsters and revolvers on their hips. I never felt completely safe. But America is also a great country full of opportunities and if you are educated and a professional, the money is also great. All Canadians love their Healthcare and Social Safety Net. Generally, I think Canadians are more socially evolved and better educated. Your educational system is awful. And the Bible Belt States are anything but Christian. It's hate and fear-based. But the past 7 years have been the worst since the Trump Cult era began. Trump and his Mega Cult could destroy what was once a wonderful country.

I lived in the US; Virginia for 13 years. For the most part the people are lovely... just like a lot of places. If you treat people with kindness; they usually return that kindness. At least that is my experience. Mind you, I came home in 2006. When I lived there the political climate was completely different. I would absolutely NOT move back to the US. When I came home to Canada; I was so grateful because I had to endure 2 years without Healthcare when I really needed it. I lived on pain pills at that time. I was in a wheelchair by 2008 and so grateful that I was home where my country took care of me when I was unable to work, or even walk. \n\nPolitics has changed so much since then. It was always kind of poler, but when Donald Trump entered the scene; it has become just awful. Again, I love the Americans for the most part, however there is so much racism, homophobia and hate displayed in the country right now. I pray every day that Donald Trump does not become president again. I fear for the United States. I love her as a sister to Canada; she is. I want her people safe...

I'm afraid that with the gun craze down there, I would not consider it. Then, there is the lousy healthcare... And just when I think you guys aren't that bad off, I watch an episode of John Oliver's This Week Tonight, and a plethora of new reasons spring up. \n\nRight now in Canada, there is a Conservative Party that is starting to adopt the MAGA philosophy of consorting with white supremacism, fascism, misogyny and racist, and I cannot imagine moving to a place where this stuff is running rife. \n\nTyler, you are a lovely example of a decent American, and in truth, when visiting the States (which I haven't done for years), I met more people like you than like MAGA. Alberta has lots of natural beauty, but they’re the worst people in Canada by far.\n\nIt’s the alt-right heartland of Canada, and more hate crimes than every other province in Canada combined. Their Premier is a Trump loving MAGA wannabe, and it’s the most bigoted province in the country. If you’re not white Christian, you’re not welcome there.\n\nIt’s basically Canada’s Florida, only colder, less educated and more racist.

I used to love the States and it's people. As a Canadian observing what has happened since Trump came to power I am deeply disgusted by the hate, division, corruption, lies and level of gun violence.
