As an American, I am ashamed that my country somehow chose to re-elect this ghoul and his circus train of hangers-on. God bless you. I wish you and the rest of the free world the best. Just know that the many (likely the majority) of us down here now oppose and revile him as well.

I don’t think the majority of Americans want this. I did not vote for Donald Trump and I’m sure a lot of people that did are regretting their decision. This is so sad and depressing and stressful. God bless us all.

As an American, the intellectual majority of us stand with Canada and abhor our current president's policies and actions towards our allies. He is an embarrassment to the US.

Who owns the majority of the stock market? Who cares. More than half of us don't own stocks. As for Canada, Trump is doing what he thinks is best for Americans not Canada. Majority of Indians support what Donald trump is doing with all illegals. I lived in the US for 4 years (2016-2020) and left on time, never sought PR or long term residency. It was a great experience and love USA and its people. Most of the Americans are very good people.

Most Americans don't know that the trouble in Venezuela like most other countries south of our border, was more than likely caused by US interference. For decades our government has financed regime changes at the request of American corporations. The only alternatives are China and Russia. \n- 60% of all imported oil in the US comes from Canada. \n- Electricity produced in Canada is delivered to the states of New York, Vermont, Maine and over 20 other US states. We’ll soon find out if convicted felon Trump and his supporters need Canada when that electricity gets turned off. If Trump can rip our mutually-negotiated agreements so can Canada. We did not ask for this economic war nor did we start it. The American coal exported through Roberts Bank does not even pay a provincial carbon tax like all BC residents pay. Canada is the second-largest country in the world by land area and we have the longest coastline in the world, with over 243,000 kilometers of shoreline. We will continue expanding our trade with Pacific Rim countries, Europe, Mexico and beyond. They all need and want our lumber, minerals, oil and gas, grass fed beef, and the dependable, respectful trading partner that we are.

Fun fact: Columbia is where we get a major chunk of our coffee from, so now our coffee, our fuel for working Americans will get more expensive if this is a prolonged tariff! We're just hurting ourselves with these outrageous tariffs because all of these countries (even Columbia) can just sell the supply of whatever the US is putting a tariff on to other countries like in Europe or Asia, or could just put retaliatory tariffs on us, leading to a possible trade war over FUCKING COFFEE. Our 2 party political system sucks harder than the jet engines of those planes that got denied.

From what I've talked to with friends and acquaintances that are 2nd & 3rd generation Americans it had taken their parents and family 10 years to 18 years to be granted US citizenship! They make decisions based on emotions. Correction: healthcare here in Canada is paid via taxes.. it is NOT free. But everyone is about 75% covered with services, including major procedures. The rest we must pay out of pocket. My family are Central American immigrants. The vast majority of them have been blue collar hard working people that helped shape what we live in today. I am first generation born Canadian coming from this blue collar family of hard working immigrants that earned their Canadian citizenship. I think most of us who have immigrant family from anywhere have seen this. I cannot necessarily say I’ve seen this type of work or drive to contribute from the Indians that immigrate to Canada. Yes there are some who really contribute, but that should be the norm not the exception. I don’t have anything against them, I just really wished Canada would be more diligent on who they let in and how many they let in. This is the result of just opening the flood gates. Canada has always been multicultural, but you gotta earn your keeps.

I'm American and I have met many (hostile) Canadians over the past 20 years who do not hide their anti-American points of view. One thing many Canadians seem to think is that they are smarter than Americans and cite PISA scores as evidence. What most Canadians do not seem to understand, however, is that more than 50% of their HQP (Highly Qualified Personnel) which includes their engineers, scientists, and doctors, are from East Asia. These people are their #1 import, and with them they bring higher IQs and a culture centered around education. As for the US, unskilled/uneducated migrants from the Middle East, Africa and Latin America are our #1 import. All in all, White suburban Canadians and White suburban Americans are identical in terms of academia. And no Canadians, you are not 'bilingual' in that everyone speaks French in addition to English. Your government declares Canada bilingual because it names both English and French the official/national languages of Canada. A vast majority of Canadians, however, do not speak French fluently and the number of Canadians who do speak it is in decline. Simply Google it. It's all there.
