I used to think that the idea that Trump is a Russian asset was just a conspiracy theory. I am not sure of that now as how else to you explain why Trump is doing everything he can to undermine the USA? Why else would you cause a breech between the US and our allies Canada and Mexico? Why else would he destroy the infrastructure of our country through Musk and Doge? Why else would you stop all aid to Ukraine? Why would you stop cyber operations targeting Russia? Why would he set up an operation to humiliate the leader of an allied country fighting for its life against Russian aggression? Why would you send your vice president to Germany and have him insult our allies and not meet with the leadership of the country but rather meet with the essentially neo-Nazi Alternative for Germany? None of this--and many other actions--makes sense unless you begin to understand that Trump is actively trying to weaken our country to the benefit of the Russians. In a sense I know why (optics), but in another sense, I don’t. Why do so many insist on retaliating against Trump’s tariffs with more or higher tariffs of their own? I think it’d be so much more effective if someone said, “You know, we’ve thought about this, and we have come to realize that tariffs are really bad. So starting tomorrow, we will respond by getting rid of all our tariffs. This will make everything we import more affordable. It will make us richer. We hope other countries will join us! If America insists on making everything they import more expensive, lowering their standard of living, that’s their prerogative and problem!”

How does this make sense? Trump being the stupid ass he has always been, put tariffs on imported goods from Canada causing US citizens to pay more for goods from Canada. So PM Trudeau sets tariffs on goods coming in from the US causing CAnidian citizens to pay more for goods imported from the US.\nHaving said that, I do see that PM Trudeau will be causing Canadian citizens to stop buying imported US products, slapping Trump in the face and causing hardship to US manufacturers. This should cause blowback from US manufacturers towards Trump'a stupidity.\nOh, ?Trump

Presumably the whole point of tariffs on Canada is to raise revenues to cover the tax cuts for the oligarchs that he hopes will keep his or his family permanently in power. From that point of view it makes sense to put the tariffs on the biggest trade partners. The tax breaks the oligarchs get will allow them to buy up and control the media on his behalf. Nothing to do with fentanyl. That's just a lie that US citizens are stupid enough to swallow.

Donald Trump and his administration have been captured by Russia. Every single thing he does that seems not to make sense, which seems to hurt America, are directives from Vladimir Putin. This is very scary. Again, what Trump is doing makes no sense - there is no economic or political sense to it. So what is he doing it for ?? To reduce our trade deficit? We have a huge deficit with Canada because we import so much oil from them, which our refiners require. On top of that we get Canadian oil for first cheap when compared to the global price mark for oil. This keeps US petroleum prices LOW! So okay if this is the issue, why not just find ways to improve the economics of U.S. oil production instead of smacking all Canadian imports with a 25% hammer ??? He has ulterior motives and it’s to weaken the American spirit and sell what he has on American to Russia. And our Congress isn’t doing anything !!!

The only way that what's happening makes sense, is if Trump is legitimately a Russian plant, because there's only one country benefiting from all of this and it isn't the US.

American car companies make shitty cars. They make cars that are too big, that don't make sense for European where streets can be very small and gas is very expensive. The US manufacturers don't make a single small car in thos country that can compete with European cars. US agricultural products are laced with poisonous chemicals that are outlawed in the EU because they kill people. Our governmeent doesn't give a shit about that because to grow healthy food means you have to cut profits, almighty dollars, instead of grow things that the rest of the world will accept. We have an idiot for president who thinks he knows more than anyone else and an idiot party that won't tell him the truth. This is going to cost us big time. Im confused...where is the US border patrol? Canada doesn't check people going into America, right? Its US border patrol that checks people coming into America, no?
