I’m an Indian international student currently in a master’s program in Canada and I think this video perfectly speaks to a lot of problems in the country. I chose Canada due to its high quality of education. I personally also think the country messed up with their mass immigration with no quality check of individuals coming from India. If a person is allowed to be in a foreign country they must assimilate into its culture and values or at the bare minimum not force your own beliefs on the people there. I find a lot of entitlement certain immigrant population feel quite ridiculous , it’s not racist to want people who come into your country to be respectful of it’s values. I would just like to say that not every Indian immigrant is the same though there are people who just wanted a different life and embrace the culture of the country that they had an opportunity to be a part of.

i was born here in 87... my rent when i was 16y.o was 400$/month for a 5bedroom house. The same today would be over 3500/month.. Immigration created this but its also what's gonna blow the bubble... finally!!... and if mass immigration stop overnight then they wont be no one to buy all those brand new houses. As a Canadian, me and most of the people I know is fed up with this mass immigration, and there isn't nearly enough new constructions to sustain this which creates massive housing inflation. Wages are stagnating also in part because of this massive immigration but also economic policies from our governments that are very anti businesses and pro big governments. Our taxes keep increasing and so is our deficit and yet I feel like we have less and less services in return. My country is trending in a very shi tty direction and this is why we are probably about to switch from a very left-progressive leaning Liberal and NPD party coalition to the conservatives.

I would also add that canada is housing casino for foreign investors with money into Canadian real estate to clean their money while making huge profits running arbnb business, room rentals, flipping homes, having multiple home while not even Canadian citizen or barely living in Canada. the infrastructure of Canada cannot handle a million new people a year. the Liberal government has exploited international students and temporary workers too much and needs to be reigned in. these policies and practices do not benefit Canadians, only landlords and franchise owners and the tax collectors are getting the benefits. you and i get inflated demand on rent and food prices. overcrowded classrooms and hospitals. delivery drivers who can't understand english and drive like maniacs. this is exacerbating the housing crisis in such a way that a single person cannot compete for the cost of a one bedroom apartment when a group of indians will share the cost with as many as seven people in one unit. our infrastructure, housing and transit was never intended to have this many people. there isn't even any rapid transit outside a handful of cities. mass immigration is also leading to election interference and could be used to vote in WEF garbage that will ruin even more nice things we take for granted. our high trust society is gone. shameless life hacks and citizenship of convenience is all most migrants are coming for. mass immigration is bringing down the standard of living in Canada. poverty and homelessness are out of control. whether its the chaos of crime or the eyesore of encampments. whether its was just a package on your porch or your car stolen from your driveway, the government isn't handling the load that mass immigration is putting on society and Canada's legal system is a joke. its almost like the Liberals are actively recruiting an army of psychopaths just to vote for them. the drugs and the gangs and the organized crime isn't worth the hollow platitudes and desperate social programs.

It is not racist to say there is too much Indians and some should get deported back. I know a lot of Indian friends from Brampton, Toronto, Mississauga who were born in Canada and also have the same views as me. It is not sustainable and there is no multiculturalism. As an Indian , i also oppose mass immigration but its really Canadian Government and its special interest groups who created this situation in the first place. Also the students who are protesting have a valid point. If the courses they enrolled for were eligible for PR when they applied , its not fair to remove it when they are passing out. Sure you can implement it for all future intakes but not for those already enrolled.

As a immigrant who recently got Canadian citizenship, I would like to clear few things here. I noticed that the host of the show has some wrong perception in his mind for international students. I agree that the basic jobs should be allocated to the young population or elderly population and international student should sustain themselves, but on the other hand why don't' the colleges charge the same fees that they charge to domestic applicants ?...the international students pays 5X to 10X the fees that the local student pays for the same courses. Also, when the student applies for visa they already pay 20000K to a Canadian bank for the future monthly payments that they will get so sustaining is not a problem. most of these students work so that they can contribute to the 5X fees that they have to pay. Also, when it comes to skill, the students skills are assessed by the universities and colleges and only after that they come to Canada. If you see an immigrant working in Tim Hortons or Food basics, don't worry he will be out of there in 2 years to a high paying skillful job that local population won't do. Now, when I say all this the immigration problem is real, but it is not because of the student who comes here, pays higher fees and than work in Canada, pay higher taxes and contribute to GDP and economy. your problem is with refugees and immigrants who are brought in mass immigration, who does not have skills. Because this is the population which you brought with to match the labor shortage but can not work so you provide them subsidies, assistance etc. and dig a hole in government funds...…now for the host he seems to have an agenda against Indian immigrants in particularly. The worst part of this mass student fraud immigration scam is that it is essentially creating a class of indentured servants in Canada. Where i live, wealthy indians buy a franchise, they then get permits for foreign workers in india, who they CHARGE under the table of to 40k (their families life savings) for the permit to come work in their franchise. They also rent to for or 5 of them ONE ROOM to share, rent being deducted from their pay. They are then exploited and told if they complain they will be deported with no money and shame their families back home...its messed up and it's 100% happening in every canadian city. If you notice the indian worker at the fast food joint isnt too happy, it may be because they are a literal slave. Very progressive!

Funny thing when Quebecois tell you they want to keep their language, culture and identity, they're being told they are racist of wanting to slow down or put a hold on mass immigration. The Indians 'living well' are being funded from India to be able to pay for school, they are also living too many in a house to minimize costs. Regardless if people come to Canada to work or study, the federal government needs to make it more attractive to them to reside outside the BIG 3 cities of Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver which have become overwhelmed with immigrants hence the strain on housing and healthcare

JT has knowledge of preschool. He and his government do not understand economy. They push existing Canadian to hell. Canadian needs to get their live via jobs and living. Mentioned jobs do not have shortage of resource. International student and mass immigration got those jobs since they accept any low pay jobs. As an immigrant myself, but Canadian citizen. This mass migration that Trudeau has embarked on is part of their globalization agenda. The influx of low/non skilled people, that do not carry the same traditional Canadian values, is specifically designed to dilute the existing Canadian culture, and weaken the middle class, only to replace it with the elites globalist control. In the long run, not bringing in skilled workers that can positively impact and grow the economy will be very detrimental in the long run. Also, in speaking with many of these immigrants their allegiances and not with Canada, if you ask them if the are willing to join the armed forces to defend Canada, they say no. Hence, Canada is also importing ideologies that don't intend to integrate into our society. If you want to come to Canada, integrate or leave! There are also enough skilled and non-skilled workers, that are ready and able to work, it is visible - everywhere you go there are more and more homeless and out of work people.

Canadians need to be weary of Poilievre, too. He has said in many speeches that immigrants will help Canada with their skills. He has not once said he would stop mass immigration. Trudeau is a horrible PM & Canada needs help, but Canada should also ensure that Poilievre will do what he promises.

Born and day raised here. Immigration is out of control as is all all the social services, bailouts, and specials needs funding. Rhis created a huge debt to income defeciet that anyone with any brains could see coming a mile away. I'd be interested in seeing the raw statistics of mass immigration vs job scarcity and value. Living in a rural town in one of Canada's poorest provinces, it feels like businesses are relying on immigrants to work for minimum wage, which is still $15 BELOW the living wage. Since they can hire people for less, they will do so. There is also the issue of these international students relying on and clearing-out food banks. They're sold the idea that they only need $10k a year to survive in Canada, and obviously they can't, so they rely on these systems (that were already struggling as more and more people face homelessness and extreme poverty) to get by.

This change is taking place across the entire Western world, from Europe, to Canada, to Australia and New Zealand, to the USA. It's also not an accident, and things *WILL* continue to get worse until all of you people wake up and realize what the root cause of all these problems is: non-Western mass immigration.\n\nThe time for being polite is long past. I don't think the problems you're describing are a uniquely Toronto issue (many cities across the world are having an affordability crisis - Toronto's is bad, but not unique). I think it's also a lasting effect from COVID (especially on the mental health side). I do sympathize with Chow - seems like the city isn't getting much help from the feds who are allowing mass immigration without any infrastructure or services to support it (see 10.5% proposed property tax hike in order to keep the city afloat after Tory). All in all, think the city needs a bit of time to heal after the past few years but I'm optimistic it'll get there.

As a Canadian born citizen, I feel horrible and relieved. The relief comes from the fact that there are too many people here, we need a mass exodus, but also horrible because these people were lied to that this is a good place to immigrate to, and had to lesrnt he hard way that it ain't

I think your reading of the situation is slight from the wrong end of scope. \n\n1> the job of the Canadian gov is to look after Canadians. (Yes they allow immigrants but that is for the benefit of Canadians and not the other way around. \n\nThe house prices are intentionally kept high. The reason is because it makes existing citizens richer. (Year on year) these people vote and the gov would like their vote) . Creating huge supply of housing is going to crash the market and that will end up people feeling poor. (Values will drop : demand and supply) . You can delete my post or you can except the truth.\nI've been too & have friend & colleagues who have migrated to Toronto from Sydney. Toronto is very similar to Sydney. It has some of the most exspensive housing in the world. Canada & Australia's economy is based on economic growth through mass immigration. The cost of this policy, means you also need to restrict development & zoning regulations to artificially keep properties high. Governments need make your population continually, working as slaves, to pay for basic costs, of a largely welfare dependent society. While your a debt slave, you don't spend your money on foreign products, as you have very little in the way of exsports, to pay for imports. The upside to this, you have many slaves to pay for the never ending welfare, as you have a policy of supporting refugees, single parents & the disabled, over self reliance & responsibility. Mental health issues are largly created by society, they are very rarely genetic. The high cost of living, means, you cant afford families. No strong family ties means, poor mental health issues. When you outsource, what familes once did, like help the the elderly, support your unemployed brother & have children. Replace all what families did with government welfare, instead of families helping each other, replace reproduction with mass immigration. You end up creating enormous problems in society. Problems with mental health & crime.\nNow for your modelling career. In Japan, your a novelty, as you have a different look to the Japanese. However in Canada, for your age what are your best features. You only have one. You have very good skin. However your face shape, is slightly disproportionate, basically, meaning your just an average shape face. You could also work on going to the gym, as your not toned. So basically as a whole, for your age group, your slightly above average, say a 6 out of 10, which is not all that good as 60% of Canada's population are overweight. Now as a model, you need to compete with people who are younger & better proportioned 7,8 & 9's. No such thing as a 10.

in Canada we have a serious housing crisis, you pay 50 % of your wages on rent. Also even though it's a big country, less than 10% is habitable. Mass immigration is definitely not helping.

The situation looks bad in Venezuela and I see the desperation in some of these people's faces. At the same time we can't just allow mass imigration like that into the country. There are laws and regulations that need to be followed. If we were to just allow a mass immmigration in like that without properly going through the immigration system there would be chaos to follow. I think you ladies are way out in left field and you really don't know what you're talkin about. Unfortunately for some people it doesn't work out for whatever reason usually because they do not want to assimilate very well. I grew up in Ontario to a french-canadian father and an Italian mother in my life in Canada was so perfect said if I had to dream up a better life I could not have done so. I grew up playing all the sports and enjoyed all the different sports and the changes of seasons. My parents had a summer home on the st-lawrence river and every summer we water-ski swam fished, play golf in the morning and barbecues every night right on the water. Even though my grandfather was in the hotel business I was all about sports and enjoying everything about it. I grew up in a town of about 50 thousand about 40 miles from Montreal. When I wanted some great nightlife just drove a short drive to Montreal and it had everything did anyone could want in Nightlife. I have lived in United States for forty years and I can tell you that it really isn't all that it's cracked up to be. Heaven forbid should you get some kind of catastrophic illness you are screwed. I knew a woman who work for travelers insurance for 30 years at the best insurance a money could buy had suffered a couple of strokes and was on the verge of going broke had she not died when she died. People think that insurance continues to pay his long as you're ill and nothing could be further from the truth. This lady was going to have to sell her house to continue paying for round-the-clock care had she not died when she did. United States middle class is getting wiped out. I've seen enough poverty and hardship in this country to last a lifetime. I find greed to be running rampant in this country. When I grew up in Canada there was always the grass is greener on the other side and when I did move over to the other side the US that is I can tell you unequivocally the dead grass is not greener on the other side. There are more millions and millions of people here that are one or two paychecks away from being homeless. And we're talkin 2023. Now let's talk about violence. There is a mass murder in the United States every single day of the year. And a mass murder is defined by four or more people being killed by one person at one time. Killing these so out of control in the United States that now even six-year-olds are shooting their teacher. I find a tremendous amount of built-up Anger from people. Food is very expensive and shelter is also out of control and non affordable to most people. Again I find United States being able to paint a much Rosier picture then does really exist. And there are more con artists and thieves , Crooks, con-artists, bamboozlers, cheats and scammers then anywhere that I've ever been. And I will say this is it it ain't getting any better and I don't see it ever getting better. I find it is everybody out for themselves no matter who they cheat. I live in Southern California and I can tell you that night life where I live is non-existent. Understand that LA and Hollywood they always have to glamorize everything to sell it to tourists. Just remember that things today are not what they were 40 years ago. Middle-class people in Canada would also be just middle-class people in the US. But if your life means anything to you as far as safety and raising a family then Canada wins hands down end of discussion. People that say Canada is boring is because they are boring. That's what I found to be pretty standard across the board. Life is what you make of it. But I will say that you gals definitely need to move away if you don't like Canada. Do not let the door hit your ass on the way out. And just for your information Canada ranks annually as one of the top countries in the world to immigrate to. Canada is the second largest country in the world by land area and next to Saudi Arabia has the third largest oil Reserves in the world. Canada has huge amount of freshwater which most of the rest of the world seems to be lacking and having spent my Summers on the Saint Lawrence River one of the Great Rivers in this world. Well the governments of Canada have made it illegal for us to express our views. As a white English Canadian I don't think most of us hate people because they came from abroad. If people came to Canada and actually became Canadians I don't think 90% of people have an issue with that. The problem is people are coming here and are not assimilating. Especially the people from Asian and African nations. But this is not surprising to me because their culture is so different from ours. I would prefer immigrants came from northern Europe especially the British Isles and France due to having a shared history, values, and culture similar to Canada. \n\nThe other issue is mass immigration mostly only benefits wealthy people because they get cheap labour. People coming from countries with a much lower standard of living are used to earning less and living with less so they depress wages for working people here. The so called skilled immigrants that our government tells us will solve all of our nations problems are not. No one recognizes their skills here so they end up taking jobs away from other Canadians. \n\nI think Canada's solution would be to stop relying on foreigners and invest in Canadian people. I would cut immigration levels by 75%. I would limit immigrant applicants to make up only 5% from one country. Also we should only allow Canadian citizens to own property. Dual citizenship should be eliminated. You should only be loyal to Canada. \n\nThe government should also stop spending money on Black lives Matter, criminals, drug addicts, and other socialist non-sense. Government spending and taxes should be cut in half and free enterprise should be encouraged. We should be using money towards infrastructure and education. We should be training Canadians to become engineers, doctors, and skilled tradesmen. I would rather invest in our own people that try to accommodate foreigners.

Just more than a year living here in Canada realizations:\n\n1. So cold. Not everytime you can be so productive because the weather is a big hindrance\n2. As an immigrant, you will start from scratch. There will be great opportunities, sometimes really fast promotions or salary increase but workplaces are always short staffed that the amount of work is not worth it with how much the salary is. \n3. Some people still have preferences and you will really feel discriminated.\n4. People are polite, I am very impressed but so individualistic, it's sad. Growing in a country with a very collective type of community, you will really fee the void once you try living in Canada. you can't fully relate to everyone, be free to talk to them about everything because you rarely have common ground or understanding. I feel bad for the Canadians, its so hard to build relationships here in this country. Some of them might never experienced living that everyone of their schoolmates understand and laughs at the same meme because all of them have the same backgrounds and can relate.\n5. Housing prices are so high, it is so surprising for a country with big land mass but with very few population. Like how can be the house this expensive when winter is long, houses are wood and not stone and groceries, mall and other recreational areas are far?\n\nOverall, it's like a big scam going here in Canada. The biggest thing positive here is how powerful the currency is and the country being part of G7 and neighbor of US. Also it has very well preserved environment, scenic views. Aside those, others you can live without.
