All are rich nepo kids from India, my coworker has rich father bought in sister in law with 2 degrees, now a master to bring her husband here. Many students leaving Canada came without proper research, seeking only white-collar jobs but ending up at Tim Hortons. Nursing, constrution jobs, rulal jobs, has no issues here, and there’s no need to go back. Still, many Indian parents only want to say their child is an engineer or doctor, not a nurse or construction worker—despite these jobs being well-paid and in demand. I don’t know about rest of the world but in the US alone, 700,000 Indians entered the country either illegally or overstayed their US visa just last year alone. In Canada, some Indian international students were discovered to have forged their education documents and now have been deported. Temporary workers are demanding permanent residency after work visa extensions have been cancelled due to housing shortages & increasing unemployment rate. \n\nIndian people in general are good workers but these protest aren’t helping and demanding they be allowed to stay while their documents are forged is upsetting Canadians. The reasons for rejections may *possibly* be due to the number of Indians than have over stayed their tourist visas or due to illegal entry or international students that have not returned but rather stayed back illegally. Also possibly due to certain behaviours against women or cheating/corruption practices taken to the new country. These students came for an education. You accepted the terms of that student visa and should thereby adhere to those terms. Many countries do offer jobs to international students who excel in their studies if there are available positions in that field that Canadians can not fill. It is Indian recruiters who have sold the residency idea both in India and Canada. It is these recruters that teach them how to defraud our systems and take your money. Someone who has a desired skill, and are ready embrace other cultures, should apply work visa. \n2. It is incumbent upon the Canadian government to screen out those applicants who received fake admission letters upon arrival or even before departing for Canada - at the Indian airport of departure. Clearly the priority of the Canadian government was to allow one and all in so as to benefit from the exorbitantly high tuition fees charged to international students - so scrutiny of offer letters took a back seat. The recent crack down on international students (after such a long time) especially in the wake of the impending elections makes Canadians highly skeptical. This is nothing but damage control by the Trudeau government now that they are faced with the prospect of a decimation at the general elections. They needed a scapegoat - what better than to blame international students....the outsider - sound familiar?

There are many fraudulent agents in India, sending students to various countries. Because of such agents, the students are affected, and India to gets a bad reputation, internationally. \n\nCanada ?? should deport all such fraudulent cases, and consider only the genuine ones for PR.\n\nThis will also alert India students in India. The true problem is the greed of colleges - bringing the wrong kind of international students. Remember - the same India supplies the brightest brains to the USA. Like myself - thousands of high skill STEM field Indians are finding Canada to be the North American ghetto. We had high paying jobs and comfortable life in India - we moved for better value of our taxes and overall high quality of life but we are finding ourselves surrounded by same chaos and much worse healthcare. Many like me pay 100s of thousands in taxes every year in Canada and yet find ourselves on flights to India to seek quick healthcare. Pls bring in healthcare workers and students - not the high schoolers seeking to live on Tim Horton and uber jobs for life.

Canada is a law abiding country and no one can fool the system. It offers study visas with a condition of returning back to home after completing the study. But many indian students are cheated by local agents with fake promises of Canadian PR, and now face deportation. It is not the fault of Canada. Already Canadian citizens including its own students suffer a lot from getting a job. Lack of jobs, house, health services increased and at the same time criminal, anti social activities like car theft, sexual abuse of female students, traffic violations, and links with anti social elements linked with international students. Brampton becomes the number one crime area in Toronto. Canadians are very well known people for their multicultural identity but they become irritated by the hostile behaviour of the international students. \nSo Canada must give priority to its own citizens and its law and order. No one can be allowed to take advantage of its liberal system.

Let's get real here, these international students do not contribute significantly at all to Canada's economy. They are a drain on food banks that locals need for survival. They are a drain on our economy because 90% of them are sending most of their paycheques back to family in India. They are taking jobs away from young Canadians trying to enter the job market while Canada's unemployment rate is high right across the country. The schools mostly are fraudulent diploma mills that are not providing any real world job skills that are useful to Canada or Canadians and 90% of Indian international students who enroll in these colleges do not even attend. They come only to work for dollars and send money back to India. Meanwhile the cost of living is extremely high due to the housing shortage caused by excessive Indian International students. It should be very clear now, Canada and Canadians want all these Indians to leave Canada and return to India as stated in the temporary resident visa. If not they will be cut off and deported also incurring a 5 to 10 year ban from Canada.

As a current international student I can say I am happy for all this changes Canada is doing in the immigration system sadly it was taken advantage by too many indians and people from africa that came here with not the best intentions, I can confidently say if in my case is not possible to stay I will happily return to central america with good memories and good friendships and start working again. thats life

The problem is not with immigration but not having balanced immigration because you know there's huge corruption in the system when high percentage of immigrants are cheap labour with international students and temp foreign workers program from mostly India. \n\nIt's disgusting that it's displacing Canadians and having blatant discrimination by hiring only Indians at almost every corner. ABSOLUTELY CORRECT but do note that these Indians are not coming for free, on average close to 90,000 Indian Students come to Canada to study with an average 2 year program, and each one of them spends at least CAD 40,000 for each year! Now if you do the math they inject about 3.6 Billion dollars every year! Which makes International student one of the top 10 source of revenue for Canada! That is the hard reality check for anyone who thinks these Indians in Canada are all undeserving people.....they just compete better than most white Canadians in their home ground whilst quite literally in every stretch there are more facilities available to Native Canadians then there are for the people of international origin: International students' annual spending directly and indirectly contributed CAN$7.4 billion in tax revenue for the Canadian government.
