Canada's Immigration Crisis: Prioritizing National Interests Over Uncontrolled Influx from India The Government of Canada must immediately halt the unchecked influx of immigrants from India. This is not about xenophobia—it's about protecting Canadian society, resources, and identity from a pattern of exploitation that is eroding our nation. 1. Failure to Assimilate and Community Insularity Indian immigrants are not integrating into Canadian culture. Instead, they form parallel societies: Sending children to private ethnic schools that prioritize Indian languages and customs over Canadian values. Erecting statues and cultural symbols that celebrate India, not Canada—this is Canada, not a satellite of New Delhi. Prioritizing their own communities in hiring and services, creating ethnic enclaves that exclude others. This insularity prevents true assimilation and fosters division. 2. Exploitation of Systems and Loopholes Many arrive through fraudulent means and demand instant benefits: Establishing "diploma mill" colleges solely to gain entry, then claiming permanent residency or citizenship after minimal study. Only Indians teachers are hired through this made up "Colleges". Sponsoring extended family chains (parents, siblings, cousins) who contribute nothing but drain resources. Elderly parents, who have never paid Canadian taxes, access healthcare and social services immediately, overburdening hospitals while their families use nursing homes as a last resort. Bribing for driver's licenses abroad, leading to reckless, entitled driving on Canadian roads. These tactics exploit loopholes, bypassing fair processes meant for genuine contributors. 3. Strain on Resources and Job Market The rapid population growth is unsustainable: High birth rates (far above Canada's replacement level) are used strategically to "populate" the country and secure more benefits. Taking jobs from Canadians in government, police, education, healthcare, and beyond—often through nepotism and "cutting in line" for their networks. For example IRCC Director - Harpreet Kochhar Deputy Minister - Pemi Gill and Aiesha Zafar who have no idea where the 79,000 illegal Indians are in Canada. Remove these Minister from their position. They are incompetent in the jobs. Fraud = Predominant country = India. Nepotism is rampant in their community and their class system mentality. Overwhelming housing, food banks, parks (littered with garbage), and public spaces (including reports of improper behavior on beaches). Many work in low-productivity roles, undercutting wages and relying on welfare despite employment. Canadians are being displaced in their own country. 4. Criminal and Cultural Importation A subset brings a "gangster mentality" from India: Rising involvement in organized crime, fraud, and violence in cities like Brampton and Surrey. Lazy or substandard work ethic in some cases, prioritizing quick gains over quality. Just look at Tim Horton! This is not the skilled, law-abiding immigration Canada needs. Call to Action: Policy Reforms Now Cap and pause Indian immigration until assimilation metrics improve. End chain migration and fake college scams—require proven contributions before PR/citizenship. Enforce assimilation: Mandate public schools, cultural integration tests, and community service. Protect Canadians first: Prioritize housing, jobs, and services for citizens. I don't care if this is labeled "racist"—the evidence is clear. Indians are not here to build Canada; many are here to overtake it. Canadians have to act before it's too late.

Canada needs immigration. The country needs at least 300 k new immigrants per year so that the economy grows. But diversity needs to be assured. Stop bringing Indians. There are well educated people from everywhere in the world waiting in the queue of express entry visa. Use them.

Guys this is beyond blaming Indians. You all need to look at the people enabling all this. They have an agenda to digitize IDs. Indians are actually being used, and yes they are gladly coming to Canada, but this is all a part But this is all on purpose by our very own Liberal governments. Liberal is the key word. The people who defy God.

Why come to Canada to go to community colleges. Because most of the schools they are attending are in strip malls. Those people should not be here. If they are not smart enough for a university entry, they are not the brain power we want. Those schools should be closed and a head count mandatory. We don't need the truck drivers or waitstaff at restaurants. The businesses that are only employing students that are from India need to be fined and held accountable. They are using government funding for their wages these are jobs that Canadians need and are rejected because the are not from India. It is racist and why should our taxes pay their wage while Canadian students are left with no jobs to help with the cost of university or housing.

We dont need a single international student or study permit type of fellow. Get them all out and close the doors to new entries. The indians who have done this process illegaly , you have ruined the reputation of all south asians all around canada with your behaviour and lack of care for this country. You used to need to be fully educated and have money in hand to be CONsIDERED for immigration in the past. Its a joke now

We need a few years to catch up with housing, health care, etc. Immigration needs to completely stop to give us time. Concentrate on deportations. If illegal parents have a child in Canada, all 3 should go back and revoke that child's Canadian citizenship be cause it was obtained illegally . As a Brampton raised kid, I lived there from 97' till about 2023, I'm caribbean and we have a large indian/muslim/hindu population too on our island. (Trinidad) and the issue with Brampton is: Indian people will gladly intergrade, but Canadian borns won't welcome it. Walk with me- I'll use food for an example. Every other grocery store is middle eastern/asian/african in Brampton and its becomes harder finding more western style food. I love international food, I cook it often but if you're used to burgers and pizza and only know how to make spaghetti it feels like a 'take over' These people want what they want and even though all these places are free for you to also enjoy they don't like it cause it's too 'foreign' to them. It doesn't mean there isnt still a No Frills or a Walmart or Metro, but because the african and halal store are closer and more frequent it seems like more of a convenience to others and not to you. When people say we're multi-cultural, they mean 'yeah he's brown or black but he keeps it to himself' They aren't going to go to that Sikh temple giving free food, and only go to the church at the beginning even though they're welcome to both. It's the same for Diwali and other things, white people dont care to be interested in those things, and just wonder why they get to have it at all. I do agree with that indian lady at the beginning though, with lax immigration you come in feeling like you don't need to do anything to assimilate. They're doing themselves a disservice by only helping themselves. I hate stereotypes being perpetuated onto people but like that Pakistani guy said too, you live in a bubble and you don't pay attention to that. You can go days without speaking english to someone. You can't immigrate somewhere and shut out everyone already there. I get you may not feel welcome by the white people like the ones in the beginning and so you dont mess with them, and its easy not to. But there needs to be openness with helping everyone benefit from multi-culturalism and not just some of us. There are issues with immigrants not wanting to go outside their bubble and for canadians not to want to either, It'll be hard to (with the current issues we're facing as a country) to actually blend together more.

The real problem is not just people, it’s the Canadian immigration system and the loopholes IRCC has left wide open. In Punjab and other parts of India, wealthy families are arranging marriages where a girl with IELTS comes to Canada, then calls her husband here. Many of these are nothing more than contract marriages, where once the boy arrives, they go their separate ways. This is blatant abuse of the system and has created a wave of people entering Canada without even basic English skills. IRCC needs to wake up and fix this. Students on study or work visas must not be allowed to bring their spouses. If someone wants to come, let them take an English test themselves and prove they’re qualified. Study permits should only be issued for genuine university students, not random private colleges being used as back doors into the country. On top of that, no work permits should be given while on a study visa. Employers who hire students illegally on cash as cheap labour should face strict penalties, heavy fines, and blacklisting. Until these loopholes are closed, Canada’s immigration system will continue to be exploited and lose credibility. IRCC, this is not immigration — this is fraud facilitated by weak laws.

As someone who is born in Canada as an Indian. This is absolutely sad to here. I want the best for Canadians who are born and raised here. I have 10 years of experience working in the nation I was raised and I am having some people have my job who aren't even fit for the job. It makes no sense to me. Our wages have stalled due to international students for a better life, but at the end I want money just like other Canadians who have been here for ages. Also we need to end why our government allows lucrative hiring contracts overseas for cheaper positions in certain degrees and diplomas. In addition, why are all of our call centers placed all over the world. From Africa, south east Asia, South Asia. Those jobs can be available here. We can have a decomcratic country if our country didn't care about just "growth" we didn't need more immigration. We needed systematic change in government, schools, common sense, I could go on. I think us as Canadians don't know how corrupt the world really is. Look at other countries and how they work. It's lucrative essentives to benefit only certain people. I would rather have our tax payer money be used to fix the system. My dad's been here since the 1980s and he is sad for everyone. This is a loss on both ends. We didn't create new universities, new highways to support the population, no hospitals, new schools. I remember when my class sizes were 18 to 20 kids. We need change, not radical because we were never that. Let's do what we do best and be Canadians for us first.

canadians and her multicultural ways simply can not compete against india, africa, south asia and various latin american countries because of 1 thing - birth rates. and when i say the canadian way and what 'used' to be a balanced multicultural way of life - is now being completely replaced by, majority led, india and a select handful of a few other nations - philippines, nigeria, bangladesh and some middle eastern nations. most of these nations - minus the philippines - have very different values and laws from the west. gender inequality, caste systems and not to mention religious / secular conflicts. racism is also incredible in those nations - again, minus the philippines. the only reason i include the philippines on this list as well is because their numbers are also very high in terms of the recent immigration scams but still not as high as india - who by large is the biggest scammer by a mile. these nations export canadian capital to their home nations and recycle the cash and bring in more of their own people. it is blatant soft power take over of canada without firing a single shot. canadians need to wake up and bring back balanced immigration. i will never accept sharia law, caste systems of gender inequality in canada but it is already here and their population is hundreds to thousands of times more than canada and they are already establishing incredibly strong roots here.

Well, I'm gonna give you Canada Immigration an advice on how to catch these people and all those in other countries who has the same situation. These people are doing jobs like delivery like Uber, Skip, Doordash, etc., BUT...they are not using their legal name to apply for that instead they are using another person's account to do that job, whose account is legal and had been in the job for so many years. The connection between those people is not relevant to any gang or organizations but they operate like one, the advantage is both parties earn money while in their eyes is "legal". This is normal settings in my country(3rd world country), you have several taxis and you need to hire drivers to operate, its up to you if you're gonna hire legit drivers or not, the only difference is that the undocumented driver is cheaper. And how do I know these things, I work in a fastfood chain in Waterloo, you need to identify which order the driver will pickup and the delivery driver need to verify the order by the order number through the app but sometimes you can see the Account's photo is different from the delivery driver, so yeah, that's the gist of it. I have no idea why modern countries like Canada and America are so "dumb" or lack of critical thinking when it comes to crimes like this, but I guess people and politicians are the same all over the world. And now, they are bringing more people without checking their background, if there's any criminal record or such, oh yeah, speaking of that, how do you verify those records from another country if those records can be produced with 3rd party company in which an employee from a government institution is behind it to make it more look like it is legit.

Canada PM has deal with India Modi to use and abuse students as needed. Many other countries would get rejected while Indian would get access to Canada while colleges and universities exploit them as needed.

I can understand the immigration problem in your country. The problem I have is where people would use immigration as a cover for being racist. If you want to assimilate immigrants in your country, it would take a while. They will need time and patience. Likely their children will be more assimilated if they were young or born there. A lot of immigrants who are white in your country and your history likely took time for them to assimilate. But their children were likely already assimilated. Also, don’t blame the immigrants for the actions of your government. And yes, your country is changing and it happens all the time when you are nation founded by immigrants. For some of you who think the system isn’t working I get that. But for those who find it a problem when they are not white, just say it.

I'm surprised no liberal voters are calling this dude a "racist" because it involves Indians. He is literally interviewing both sides of this issue. In my opinion, if the liberal government stays in power, and more and more liberal voters use the racism card on people who point out these issues just to make themselves feel like a good person, more and more major cities in Canada will be filled of them who either entered as an international student, or as an asylum seeker. It is not "multiculturalism" or "diversity" if there is only people from one culture coming to Canada? Where are the people from countries like Italy? Germany? Ukraine? Mexico? It is not racist to point out how in very few homes, most notably in Brampton, around 7 or more people live in one house. It is not racist to point out how these Indians need to learn to write and speak proper English. It is not racist to point out how they need to adapt to our civilized way of life here in Canada. It is not racist to point out the rise in crime done by people of Indian descent. It is not racist to point out how, coincidentally, the quality in Tim Hortons has dropped lately, when in a majority of them have workers of Indian descent, which are usually in major cities. How so? The liberal-imposed foreign worker plan, plus a little bit of corporate greed. It is not racist to point out that Indian "international students" are getting their food from food banks, which are supposed to be for the poor, and how some places of work only hire Indians, because they are run by Indians. Why is this discussion even about Indians? Because they make up HUGE majority of people coming to live in Canada. Matter of fact, this does not apply to Indians coming to Canada, but to whoever goes to live in another country. It does not take much out of you to at least adapt to the way of life in which ever country you go to. The conservative party sees this in a way that the liberals do not. Come back to this comment in another 10-20 years when the liberals are still in power. You'll see the difference.

The rich have stolen everything and blame the “other”for our problems in order to divide us. They also use immigration to lower wages and dilute the labour pool. In many cases the immigrants have been lied to and sacrificed for this false opportunity. We all need to fight the big money monopolies that choke us all and make the desperation that leads to hate. As a Canadian I’ll point out that people are people, the Canadians I know don’t treat “Canada”well.

Immigration has increased because the government needs more people for the economy. The population 25+ years ago was enough to keep with the costs and demand. Now, Canada probably has a lot of demand and needs an influx of people both for education and jobs. Indians are enticed to come because they hear about towns that cater towards Indians like Brampton. Chinese people used to be the majority of immigrants and that was because Chinatowns would cater to them. Not to mention, these immigrants likely have temporary worker or student visas. These an whole thing with the student visas but I don't want to get into it. So Amazon and other large companies need a lot of workers for their demand and look outside of Canada to fill the job numbers. Meanwhile, Canadians that have been here for awhile are on the streets and jobless. So basically, Canada needs immigration for its demand but I think when too many people come all at once and from usually one country, Canadians will notice the change and feel the tensions that come with it.

I am First Nations and I have been concerned about how the face and language of Canada has changed. The first thing we noticed in our small town was that the taxi companies were taken over by East Indians. Now days you are hard pressed to get a taxi anywhere in Canada and get a driver who hails from India. I used to like Tim Horton's until I needed an interpreter to make my order, one doesn't speak English so, she had to get another worker to take my order. You go into any 7/11 or any gas station, or convenience store. All are staffed by people from India. But, it isn't just Indians. There are many other immigrants coming to Canada from China, Japan etc. None of these immigrants do not speak very good English. I have faced prejudice from these people who do not recognize my rights as an indigenous person. Going for an xray, blood test the field is mostly Asian. I have to get cataract surgery and I couldn't understand the Chinese receptionist and had to spell most of what I said to her. That means their business is mostly with Chinese-speaking people. As a First Nations person my status will always be a minority. With every immigrant that comes to Canada my status as an indigenous person diminishes. Taking transit shows me that english or french are ever spoken. Canadians are the new minority.

This is why we got out Bramladesh. Thanks to the government they have allowed this to happen. Government needs to shut the doors on immigration. Brampton used to be called Flower Town, now it's a shite hole

I'm born and raised Canadian 48 years and I'm sick of my country looking like Afghanistan, Pakistan, Iran, Iraq , and all of the other refugees and immigrants. We don't need you here to make anchor babies and take our jobs and use up our resources ( jobs, medical, housing). Everything said by that woman is 100% correct and I approve that message. My wife has been unemployed since Christmas of 2024 and I've been off since March of 2025 and it's now mid September 2025. Our bills and taxes don't stop coming in when the cheques stop coming in. I haven't been on EI in 20 years!

I grew up with integration that I LOVED, met people from all over the world. I've been working since I was 14 I've worked for people from all over the world , rented from different people since I was 18 and learned great things I can add to my construction or cooking repertoire that you could possibly couldn't learn in the West without diversity. BUT now we have a group of people coming here buying up businesses while only hiring people from their country buying up single homes putting up crammy 8 plexus, and only renting to people from their home country. Those single homes I was talking about half of them burned down and they use insurance fraud money add multiple loopholes to use government money along the way as well, that's damn taxpayer money building parts of these homes... I'm a concrete worker they do not let these walls set properly, they don't seal the windows and doors properly, everything's going to leak but because they only rent to people from their home country after 3 years they can take their name off the property and nobody and I mean nobody is going to report leaks because they have a tyrannical control over who they rent to.... I dont even need to name the group because its OBVIOUS, living in the same city most ky life I've seen a drastic change, and this isnt intregation like my family did as they we're the members of french part of the metis tribe long ago. 5 years in a row they have added an average of 70,000 people legally to the city I live in I live in of 1.4 million people that is absolutely absurd the train system is packed all the way until 1:00 a.m.... it's just simple economics you can't add that many people and have a sustainable City.... these idiots never played sim city or some shit Also there are millions that came pretending to get spots in our universities and didn't show up, and these are the same people that are buying up all the businesses and houses and only letting the people from their own country be involved that is not integration....... I am disgusted by what Canada has become. The government has allowed a free for all to take place without checks and balances for their own profit…whether it’s votes for political mileage, money that is being invested by certain people groups that will help enrich the pockets of government or whatever the reason - has caused this country to descend to the dumps st a rate faster than it takes to say ‘Oh Canada’. As an immigrant, I have seen the degeneration within the country (particularly Toronto & GTA) in 10 years. Sometimes it feels like you’re in a different country, with a different language other than English or French, individuals who refuse to adopt the traditional Canadian lifestyle, who are allowed in with little value for system and order, allowed to procreate and ‘raise’ children who don’t appreciate the Canadian values, both born and immigrants using crime as their currency to their warped perception of wealth and an whole history of issues that impact the lives of the average law and culturally abiding citizen. Oh there’s so much more that can be said about the state of this nation, but if there are bold-faced chants about who will be ruling Canada by 2060, those that have the power to do something need to pay VERY CLOSE ATTENTION. That is not just wishful thinking. That is a threat that will come to pass if a blind eye and a deaf ear is turned which, the government seems bent on doing. A word to the wise is sufficient.

I am Native American. At college, I took a welding course just to break the monotony of classes as I was raised using my hands. This immigrant male, asked the rest of the class "why is she here?". I asked if he had a problem with me and he looked at the class to tell me not to speak to him. No one said a word but looked between us in silence. I asked him again, "do you have an issue with me being here?". Again he told the rest of the Caucasian men to tell me to stop speaking to him. I said if you have a problem with me, let's step outside and one of us will walk back in. You can't accept that a Native female is in this class, pack your family up and go home. Don't think of the state's because that's mine too. The teacher walked in and he could see and sense the tension in the room. He removed the immigrant and they went out of the room. A few days later, I'm at Walmart and present my tax exempt (we pay 5% tax) but the cashier looks at it and states "you all think your so special!!" Your paying the tax like everyone else! A customer behind me yelled for management loudly. When management showed, I didn't say a word because it was the customers behind and on the side of me with complaints of the rudeness of the cashier. She was removed and manager took over transactions. Not just mine but those after me. There was another incident with my child. An immigrant (can tell by the long tunic) was trying to lure my daughter away from me. I put her in a cart and requested help from a young employee who wanted me to write a book before calling security. Another employee came over and called security immediately. By the time they found the man, he had exited the store and got into a taxi. A few weeks later at an arena where youth hockey practice was taking place, the same scenario was happening. A man in a tunic was trying to lure children away and when caught, jumped into a taxi and left the scene. To attack an adult who can defend themselves is one thing but to go after children is another. I say stricter policy on crimes are needed.

I like you & your attitude about coming to Canada. I’m subscribing. I feel for the young girl looking for a job. There are tons of jobs on indeed in my city. I apply for both part & full time. I apply for at least 10-20 a day. I’m not getting calls for interviews. I’ve even applied twice to one job because I was not chosen but 2 weeks later the same position was back. I’m fortunate enough to not have to work. I have a husband that makes a very good salary that pays for all of the bills , groceries & vacations. Up until Covid collapsed my 2 franchises & I was sinking more money in than making it I had to sell one for 1/3 of what I paid for it & give the other away. I started a small business at home doing lash extensions. I have my regular clients. But if I want to save my own money it’s not sustainable or steady. I want to work because I enjoy leaving my home not to just go grocery shopping or visit family. That’s even if they are home from work. I like having a purpose. I’m skilled in accounting, cleaning, sales, marketing, customer service you name it. Many might say that I’m very lucky. I am very blessed but it’s also very lonely. Plus I have always worked & had independence. I hate asking my husband to send me money so I can pay my cell, credit card bills. I don’t even go shopping without him for new clothes because I rely on him to pay for those too. Hypothetically we broke up tomorrow I’d be screwed. I worry about if he dies. There’s life insurance but we still have a mortgage to pay & monthly bills. Plus of course I’d make sure his kids got some too. Not to mention I’ve had mental health struggles with social anxiety & agoraphobia years ago. The more I stay home the more I get anxious about going out. Days can get boring & then I find myself napping all afternoon. I need a job. I just want my own money. I don’t want to go to my husband every 3 months & ask him to send me 2000.00 to clear up my overdraft for one business day. I don’t even want to have to use it. Sorry for the rant but I feel that even when filing out applications many times I’m asked if I’m racialized. In other words is my skin brown.

Born here too and yes Canada has changed for the worst I'm not racist either but I do notice there is less jobs and less homes and dirt messy places too! I worked since I was 14, (A lot of times evenings and weekends, several times, two jobs)! I am now 63, I got hurt at work! First I had to fight compensation for a year, ZERO $$$! Then I had to apply to get Disability Canada Pension because I can't physically work anymore.. (damaged back, head injury, I have to use a cane and knee braces to walk)! I spent my savings just surviving while being forced to fight for MY money from my own government for 5 years just to get a measly $300. a month! THAT'S IT! Luckily my spouse works , we paid off our house ten years ago! But, we still barely get by! Every person I speak to about my case with the government on the phone, can barely speak English and yell at me or are VERY impatient with me, because I can't understand THEM, they usually hang up! When I ask to please speak to someone IN Canada, they hang up, then I have to wait another hour to talk to someone else! (I went to 4 government funded agencies to see if I could possibly get a job working from home, because I have trouble getting out! All sent me somewhere else! One agency who is supposed to help disabled people in WPG, REES, the agent refused to talk to me or look me in the eye, * he got a supervisor to talk to me! Because he's Muslim and I'm Gay! They were continuously hostile/aggressive towards me without reason??? I volunteer at 2 different food banks , I've met TONS of people who have never worked a day in their lives, their family, parents, grandparents have never worked... EVER! Yet they have brand new trucks??? Still go to food banks? AND, several new Canadians who I've met, have never worked a day in Canada... Some with new cars??? Yet everyone else receives 10 times what I receive to live on??? I PAID TAXES ALL OF MY LIFE! We can't afford a car! Yet... I don't blame them! I would take it they offered! I blame our government (NDP, Libs, AND CONservatives) who don't give a crap about disabled and seniors in Canada! I'm disabled. I live off of $850 per month. That has to cover food, clothing, bills, household needs, medical, laundry, and transit. Yes, I had a working life before I became disabled so I paid into the system which I now need. I have uncovered medical needs that I can no longer meet. (Very rare solar allergy which also includes reactionsto certain lights on the visible light spectrum such as blue and white light) No vacations, no cable or internet, second hand clothing, no outings, no funds to have food delivered. I have to take the risk and use public transit which comes with medical consequences every time. I've had food poisoning three months in a row. Each month becomes harder. I feel like I'm drowning. My son can't find a job either. Canada is collapsing.

No doubt about it, Canada is for Canadians. If you wanted to, you could deport millions of immigrants, but let's be real about the cost. The Canadian economy, its pensions, its farms, and its health sector all rely on immigrants to pay taxes and fill jobs. It's not some big conspiracy about population replacement; it's just about the economy. You can't have one without the other. Canadians aren't the only ones dealing with this. In Asia and Africa, it's a different kind of immigrant, the ones with money who buy up land and property, driving locals out of the market. They're not given an ear either, because money talks. It’s always been about the money and the power, and Canadians should understand that perspective too. The culture or religion of a few bad apples shouldn’t be used to tarnish every immigrant. We do need to do a better job screening people, but it’s not fair to paint everyone with the same brush. In the U.S., Indian immigrants are top earners and incredibly successful, but people still complain that they’re "taking their jobs." So, if an Indian person is a failure, they're a problem. If they're a success, they're still a problem. They can't win. This old colonial mindset is alive and well. It's tough for some people to process that a person of color can outsmart them and rise up by their own bootstrap. But when those same folks go to Asia or Africa, suddenly they feel that old nostalgia and are much more comfortable with the social hierarchy there. It would be ideal if no one had to leave their home country for a better life. When we have more justice in the world for everyone, maybe we won't have to keep having these conversations.

Im tired of wanting to move out my apartment but i cant cuz foreigners are buying up property and jacking up rent prices. And yes i am a daughter of an immigrant. And i see student housing being built and the rent is cheap! My rent has gone up twice in 2 years. Nothing is available under 1300 unless you rent a room. My Granparents, parents, settled the homestead in 1896 near Rossland BC. How it used to work, how things are supposed to work, is the Government serves the needs and demands of the people. The people don't serve the Government nor any Corporation or Public/Private Partnership. This means that the Government doesn't prevent people from doing what they do and they don't use force to extort the fruit of everyone's labor to the point of enslavement. In 1896 and throughout my Grandfather's life from 1902 to 1976, one would do for themselves if they weren't working for someone else. In other words, you found something needed be done, something the community around you required or was lacking, you opened shop and got after it. You can't work today because you require licensing for everything, you require permission for everything, everything is regulated. People have it in their minds that it's so much better today then it was then, that it's "safer". But it's not, that's a lie. My family, although never wealthy, ate good food, always had a roof over their heads, plenty of family around and always had something to do or at least could always find something to work at. Most importantly, they always had hope because they had freedom. No one has any hope anymore and the people coming here aren't just bringing their culture to overtake our culture, they are coming with anger. With envy, resentment and malice. My family didn't come here with those things, they came to Canada with hope and determination to integrate and prosper with freedom. The other side of my family fled Bolshevism when they left Russia and came here and that side had the exact same hope in freedom to work hard and prosper. Now all generational wealth, freedom, prosperity and hope is all but completely stolen. We don't need more regulations. We don't need more benefits. We don't need more Government. We need less, we need it all to go away because I know for a fact, you give people the freedom to go about their lives, the society or community they form, always tends towards peaceful, prosperous organization. You give people the freedom to build and produce and they'll get after it immediately and that opens the door for all other manner of trades and skills that just fill any hole in a community or society. And that's a fact about the organizational tendencies of human beings. There's nothing stopping us from providing for ourselves but a cartel Government in the business of extortion and human enslavement. They foment chaos and division in order to justify the revoking of more freedoms to enslave more people. People themselves, they look to get along, get to work, raise families and, as best they can, enjoy life. Once we start expecting a Government to take care of us we've institutionalized prisoners who have lost all human dignity. When you "buy in" to all the rhetoric of so called autonomy, ask yourself, how autonomous are you without a family? Just because you're alone in a box in a city, stacked one on top of the other, weighted down by a landslide of rules, collecting benefits from the Government, doesn't make you autonomous. People say, "no one can afford a family". Yet those coming in have large families and they seem to be making out just fine. It's the brainwashing of our culture that set us up. Over time we've convinced the proper way to do things is everyone to grow up and go their own way, leaving each other relying on benefits from the government in old age or illness or whatever calamity might strike in life. There's always something that comes along. With family you have human resource, a plethora of skills and you have your "insurance", free of extortion. Everything that comes from a government is conditional and sooner or later their conditions rule over our condition, even though it's our labor that provides for them. The answer isn't more benefits, as I've said. The answer is simply less government, so we can all get to the business of providing for ourselves and helping our communities prosper. We need to do this with family because alone, we are all isolated and powerless. No one stands alone and a house divided cannot stand.

I'm pretty much exactly where that lady in the car is at. Enough to make rent, pay my monthly cell phone bill, and internet, but the rest? Not enough for food, no emergency funds if something breaks or needs replacing, etc. Can't even save and put money away. I sat down and balanced my budget, looking at what I could keep or toss. Figured out what to do for cheapening food costs as much as I could (without doing food bank), and the most I can afford for rent is $700 a month. That's basically a room in someone's house. That's it. As an Adult, I'm disgusted it's come to this. But what angers me MOST of all, is the Landlord's I gotta argue with. Surrey, BC used to be the cheap end of Vancouver. The welfare type housing, and low-income area. Then we had this huge book of Middle Eastern people come flying in at top speed, steam roll the community and make it theirs. They bought up all the cheap housing, ripped it down even though it was not that bad of a house, then built these custom 5-6 room mini mansions. The standards for the area skyrocketed, and the cost of their mortgage is likely also sky high because of what they built... So what do they do? Rent the rooms, force people 2 to a room with no privacy, and if you WANT a private room? Nearly $1000. Oh... And let's not forget the discrimination issues. If you're not going to temple or Gudwara, forget it. If you aren't pure vegetarian, forget it. And because all the other renters are "brown" and under 30yrs old, Adults are considered unwelcome. If you have a disability and don't work, you're automatically labelled a drug user (which isn't always truth). Even if you offer proof of income, and resources or phone numbers to call, they won't bother. Too much work. This sh*t needs to stop. I look in other cities near by, and it's happening in ALL OF THEM. I cant even relocate to get away from this crap. I'm done. I have no car to live out of, so that's not an option. I'm not a drug user, never will be but and all the shelters are now "low barrier". Screw that. So now what? Go back to work with a broken lower back?? Desk job search when I should be recovering and resting? Like, the suggestions are welcome, but be realistic. I'm in constant pain on heavy duty drugs to get by right now. No spouce. No parents or friends to leech off of. I feel utterly abandoned by our government.

Come on. Our country needs people to sustain economic growth. The issue is that we have given billionaires and corporations tax breaks instead of building infrastructure. Let’s quit the finger pointing and just use those immigrants to build our infrastructure just like we did in the 50s and 60s
