i'm happy there are people here who agree, but having your voice heard only as a youtube comment is not the answer. do you know how countries in europe managed to get ahead in healthcare? patients went to the press with recorded videos about their experience. and yes, initially the journalists dismissed this as non news, but it only needed one to go with it. and it made waves. now a 2hr wait in the ER in europe is met by the tv crew. \ncanadians refuse to do it. when i came to canada 25 years ago a 2hr wait was normal. now it's 9hrs and still no discontent voices. no politician is running on healthcare, but on cutting taxes and on giving back a few hundred dollars a year back to the families. and most are eating it up! \nbecause healthcare is public, doctors and their union have 0 incentive of allowing more professionals into the system, because they all share the same pie. there are families who do not have a family doctor and are forced to use clinics, even with newborn babies. my family doctor works a regular job, doesn't answer the phone after 3:30 (even though they are open until 4), has 2-half days (one is a golf day btw) and overall couldn't give a F about patients. on that high salary in any other industry, you'd be on call 24/7. \nand then there's housing, jobs, the education system is a mess - more and more people are worried about what these kids are learning and there is 0 incentive from any of the politicians to address the issue.\nand, of course, there is forced immigration. when we came it used to be a merit system, you had to bring in money to prove you won't be a burden to welfare for at least a year. it's definitely not the case now. \npeople look at PP as some kind of saviour, but he's not going to fix anything. usually conservatives are good for corporations, whilst liberals balance their policies with the needs of the common folk. how far they've fallen.

We can’t save the world ?… there is a process for migration ?…just as ancestors fought wars for democracy —the migrants ought to have gathered their millions and stood for their rights in their country. my dil is mexican and is here legally. last march my son called me very early one morning with the news that his brother in law had been randomly murdered the night before. he was also in this country legally. as is my Dil's younger sister who lives with them. They also recently took in one of her younger sister's high school friends who was pregnant. they kept the girl safe with them until she gave birth. when I visited last may, I brought multiple baby gifts for the girl. when I have posted this before. there were many hateful comments that my son's brother-in law was probably killed by another illegal. Actually he was here in the country legally, as is my daughter-in-law. my DIL works hard doing payroll at a portland contracting company. she is here legally. at this point I can't wrap my mind around the hate that is thrown on people from other countries. most of us have ancesters that came from other places. However the last category comes mainly from one province in India who has political clout in Canada, so it is the hardest to curb. Living in Canada since 5 years and never faced any of these issues mentioned in the video. Its a beautiful country with most polite and helpful people, one of the best work culture I have seen. We recently welcomed new born baby in Canada and medical care we received was top notch. OK, I just watched the same video but about Ireland. I get it. There's a housing crisis, I guess, everywhere? I know there's one in the US, even in formerly unpopular areas like New England. Can someone explain this to me like I'm a small child or a golden retriever? AFAIK, there wasn't a population boom in the last 50 years. There WAS for the baby boom. Our education systems from kindergarten through to postsecondary education and spending it on the Canadians that were here. We've turned our post-secondary institutions in Canada into diploma Mills where you know your VA and your you know postgraduate degrees or you know they're worthless. However the government and the education system grew into a very profitable industry grinding out worthless degree after worthless degree for foreign students who thought when they got these degrees with 50% of Canadians have. People have to realize that post-secondary education is a big business so they're going to sell you a dream that's going to cost you a lot of money what I suggest is when YouTubers want to do something on Canada do some proper research let people know that we really do have quality post-secondary education system but you have to look at when you graduate those jobs going to be there to pay that large salary does White collar jobs are disappearing almost gone I purchase an app for my company with small company about 10 employees this inexpensive app alone has taken my office staff from 7: to 2: I have a 10 Red seal tradesman tradeswomen these 10 highly skilled trades people earn between 125 and 145,000 a year in gross salary and I need five more of these highly skilled people and I can't find them cuz everybody's running in to get a useless postgraduate degree. I do find it slightly offensive that a lot of new immigrants new Canadians immigrate to Canada to purely exploit it for its wealth Canada should be looked at as a place to come put your hard work in the struggles the ups and downs? and look at it as your home instead of you know a piggy bank but people are going to leave and there's a long line up to get in I've seen in my 40 year career you know three major reps and three major downs. What's happening in Canada's economy and the economies around the world it's all the same the US economy's doing quite well and talked to last couple of weeks friends that have invested their and families have been there long-term at present the United States is building a war economy so there's money pouring into that effort it does have a booming you know Hi-Tech boom as well however the tech boom is offshore with American companies and it's taking place in a part of the world that no one would think it would take place so if your graduate in the tech industry go online do a little research you'll find out where it is the USA is building a huge chip factories I think they just poured in 70 or 80 billion dollars we're in a transitioning economy don't get discouraged put your head into it do your homework find out where these new jobs are coming from which jobs are not going to be here. Traditional White collar you know middle management upper management jobs they've been gone for years everyone's think of themselves as an independent contractor. Also if you're a millennial or was a gen z person there's going to be a massive transfer of wealth over the next 20 to 30 years as baby boomers simply die off and then you guys are going to inherit their money I live in any one of the g7 economies I just got to find your niece with your qualifications and get in there and innovate because there's not one g7 country that significantly doing better than anyone else another interesting part of the world is East Africa I'm retiring there in 5 years I've already done my homework I've already got partners I've already started to train up people there in East Africa Canada and those parts of the world they have East Africa's great basic infrastructure so now that they've got their first level base of infrastructure a second economy is built off at the service that basic infrastructure that basic infrastructure allows for that second layer a bigger layer of investment you know and that's where the real money is for mid-level investors and you know highly educated Young westerners have got 10 years into their respective careers and these are also very beautiful countries you know so you can if you got family in Canada family in Europe India Asia you know you can start building networks collaborate on projects you know in these you know emerging economies you know mid-level economies but that's you know a good 20-year grind to get good at your career and build your confidence to go into these places and get these things done also you know it's a great life adventure but never expect just because you have an advanced degree that the door even come knocking down your door to employ you if you're going to wait for the opportunity to come to you you're going to be waiting forever you got to take your advanced degrees get out there and hustle and work hard man Canada's doing fine about four or five years it's you know it's going to take off next level and it's going to boom for 40 years and it's never going to get any cheaper in g7 countries Amy's emerging economies his pockets around the world they're starting to come up to in the window to get into these emerging economies with your advanced degrees it's closing if you don't make it if you don't start looking at it in the next 5 years your degrees are going to be gone useless and if you do decide to put your career in these emerging economies like Asia South America Central America Africa do it for the right reasons not just for money we don't want to make the same mistakes as like the industrial Revolution where a few people get rich and the people in that country you know don't get anything have respect for these countries employ their people and you have to get into these places before all the big corporations get set up there cuz they're they're going there Canada's a great place as a great time free medical system and I urge anybody that's feeling down or depressed in Canada you know to go get some therapy join some clubs talk to people don't get down and mostly don't you know don't give up on yourself you guys made it through you know Elite post-secondary education system and if you can if you can do that I mean you can you can do anything a lot of hard work ahead truly best of luck to all you guys

Canadians should ask themselves this…how many Indians move to Brampton and collect welfare? Looks like Indians own the businesses in Brampton. That is immigration at its best. Indians appear to add to the economy and prosper. In US Mexican immigrants come to take welfare. Make babies, not get married as then man’s income is part of household and less $$from government, and collect WIC, food stamps, housing subsidies and monthly welfare checks. Please my advice as Canadian that grew up in Canada since baby age. Canada it’s getting worsen nothing it’s improving Now I’m in my 40 years please and please return back to Singapore or somewhere else Singapore are wayyyy better and beautiful place greener than Canada. Cost living are high, cellular service are crazy expensive for only one service , highly competition in the workforces, weather it’s long brutal cold , summer it’s not summer it’s humid and dry spring a better but only last 2 months then dry summer , no social life , city are dead quiet environment only Quebec alone the research from a newspaper local said there’s 50% are mentally sick after seeing this data few month later I’ll pack my bag and never ever looking back !

On the idea of adopting culture, did eurpeans adopt culture of Natives, where are the Natives, to which land did they go to? The culture of those who created residential schools what culture of values is that culture? Was it not that Natives of this land forced off the land, forced into schools taken away from the parents? Know even in India adopting the west coroporate culture have old folks homes. The media and TV in bed with coroporations have made people selfish that they will not stay together. Indians are in the same postion as whites. The older gen is left to fend for them selves, in the coming gen who will baby sit the kids, they to will get pets, it will be too expensive for them to have kids.

For context’ sake, for most of my adulthood I have always been poor & I am born with special health needs (E.g. disabilities).
\n\n\nSometimes on forums we are often contrasted to Canada, for some reason. Both Canada and Australia have remarkably similar problems with a different coat of paint. Sydney, for instance, has always been high up in the list of the cities with the highest cost of living in the world. Usually within the top 10-20. 

COVID-19 obviously made this issue clearer in some circumstances because we couldn't 'work' at all. Unless you were an essential service worker, to mentally block out personal and local difficulties.\n\n\nWe still have not recovered from that 2–3 years global shutdown. The only reason I was allowed to work for a period was because I work for the animal industry and aid in animal welfare. 

I still lost my job due to COVID-19 regardless and knew I would never get a decent job again. Merely just the last poor sod on the boat to be thrown off. 

Could not become a vet nurse despite working very hard. Just because no one wants to give me '2-years permanent paid experience’ to be taken seriously. 

At the same time, way too many employers will happily take 2+ years of veterinary students volunteering at their vet clinic. With the vague promise of a permanent job.

Which, of course, never happens, then say we are being too demanding or spoilt for politely asking for said job.\n\n\nHow are we supposed to pay off our student debt if any financial service expects us to have a per meant job to pay anything off??

 No, they do not want to train nor help you. They just want free labour, then kick you out once your time is up. All my jobs have been casual, and my animal industry has already become heavily casual based ages ago. Permanent job is like looking for a magical unicorn.\n\n\nSo, even if you and your relatives lived in the way outer suburbs of Sydney for decades, being typically considered roughly lower-middle socio-economic families.

Increasing demand and rising prices. Not long after, inflation caused mortgage rates especially to rise. Rent costs soared too. People interested in working in hospitals declined. Less doctors etc.. \n \nSimultaneously in Canada, the number of people coming by air, land and boat to claim asylum skyrocketed. For example, in 2023 alone, in just one region (Central Canada) around 400 people arrived per day (on average). Ditto for other populated provinces. Also the number of international students SKYROCKETED too. In 2023, averaging around 2,000 per day across Canada. Years 2021 and 2022 had high #s too. \n \nThe majority trying to migrate to Canada recently have been from South Asia. And it's become extremely obvious to Canadians. Even those that are very used to much diversity & many cultures. Plus neighborhoods now know that international students are using schooling as a 'back door' ticket to come to Canada for permanent residency. No one says it in public amongst strangers, but everyone knows because they've witnessed the extreme PR frenzy firsthand by now. Including small basement rooms. \n \nNow westerners want the money greedy agents (pseudo smugglers) in other countries to stop marketing & LYING to their own people about access to PR or citizenship … or accommodation/jobs … being easy (to get). And for any greedy people living in western countries to be ashamed of themselves if they're hurting students. Anyone doing things to make $ off of people's PR desires. At best, there is a 25% chance of gaining PR (better odds if you are masters/medicine etc.). \n \nNot all players across the board have acted honestly over the years, i.e. contract marriages (IELTS spouse), anchor babies, fraud, false asylum claims. Plus the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortion mostly happening in Ontario and British Columbia. Plus the Canadian government also recently launched investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections. All stemming from Asia continent. Hate crimes have gone from rare to occasional (primarily South Asians against South Asians). \n \nCanadians are so so so so so not used to all this. So many, who have embraced multi-culturalism and immigration for decades are now VERY worried and fearful (due to all of the above). And all are praying it doesn't turn into great anger (like in the USA). \n \nCanadians want multi-culturism to succeed … and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. I live in NYC, and have been to Canada at least four times, but the last time I was there was quite some time ago. I always had a good thought about Canada, because it seems like some of the problems we have in this city, Canada also has in some way. Right now the city is a complete mess; at post pandemic and with a bit of a recession and a noticeable increase in groceries to basic things like cat food and tissues. That's not the biggest problem, it really is the legislation or lack of for people who not care for themselves. Those homeless people are almost not helpable and I don't feel threatened by them, but other people definitely do. The way the government has handled these undocumented migrants is a complete disaster and couldn't have come at a worse time. We have a serious housing crisis as well, and people can end up paying for high rent, for not the best places, but they want to live in a certain location. The migrants are coming in at about 60k in the last two weeks. You see mothers with little kids or babies selling candy all over the trains and it's becoming too much. Many see it as a form of child abuse or exploitation and we do not respect it at all. I think they feel we are weak and will just pay double for something we don't need. At one station today I must have be approached 3 times and interrupted 2 times while using my phone. It's just too much and we already have a lot of immigrants here, so I'm not sure where these people believe they will find any meaningful employment and the cold is coming. I wasn't born here, but came legally as an infant. I think the border situation is a disaster and it's obvious to a lot of people that the government lets things happen that will definitely effect citizens in the next couple of decades. The city is crowded enough and I do not know where this is all going, people do not want undocumented migrants house a few hundred feet from a childrens school. I just don't understand how they let this happen....I guess this is how Biden does things and all the groups that cheered buses pulling in when it first started are dwindling down....they just want them passed on to someone elses responsibility, but wouldn't want them as neighborhors necessarily.
