Having lived in an apartment complex that was primarily Indian I learned that we had different standards for trash mgmt. Besides that it was fine. Most had not really assimilated and kept to themselves. The smell of the food was a bit much at times, it would make its way in to my apartment and my clothes would smell like their food the next day. Nice people but inconvenient neighbors

Thank you for documenting this bro… seeing Brampton turn to the hellhole “Bramladesh” (nickname we call it) has been incredibly sad, I use to go to Bramladesh to watch Brampton Battalion (OHL Hockey) games and the city was a great blue collar town to spend time in… ever since the Indian invasion I almost never go, seeing people defaecate and urinate frequently in public, the abhorrent driving, the dirtiness, & the incredible rudeness of the Indian population has made me not visit in yrs now. It’s getting worse in other areas like Niagara as well, where the same problem is occurring. What kills me is that if anyone who’s white speaks up about this the pathetic liberals instantly call you a “bigot” or a “Racist” for simply stating facts and expressing how MANY of us are feeling. A vast majority of Canadians had NO problem with the initial influx of Indians moving here in the early 2000’s they came over we’re very respectful, assimilated, became Canadians, & respected Canada and Canadians… this last 15 yrs has been the exact opposite.

As a non Indian Canadian born and raised I’m disgusted where my country has gone. Our population has doubled since 1980, not by birth rate, but because of the amount of Indians that have immigrated here. Unfortunately, they have no desire to assimilate, they bring their own culture and they stay in their own communities. The government offers tax breaks for businesses, hiring foreign workers over people born in Canada, leaving the youth without any part-time work. On top of that some of my favourite restaurants growing up, I haven’t eaten at in years because it’s been taken over by Indians, the quality of food goes down, you end up getting food poisoning and if you aren’t in their community, you get worse service and get charged more than what an Indian would pay at the same restaurant. They don’t understand cleanliness or sanitation, they leave their garbage and waste on the street and dump it in random locations, and quite frankly have no respect for anyone who lives here or the country that has taken them in. I feel like a minority of my own country and I truly don’t understand what being Canadian means anymore because I’m pretty sure being Canadian is a thing of the past. Most of my friends have moved further north, to Vancouver island or moved out to the prairies to get away from them and higher prices as everything gets more expensive, thanks to our government, caring more about immigrants than citizens. When a family gets accepted to come here they bring their parents their aunts and uncles their brothers and sisters on temporary visas, they also collect social assistance as soon as they arrive and when their visas expire, they have no desire to go back, which has resulted in thousands of illegals remaining here. I mean I get it. Why would you go back when you’re getting treated better here and are given food, housing and an allowance every month but it’s gotten to a point where India outnumbers Canadians. I want them all sent back.

We've had a huge Indian influx in our area and though they usually group together, they at last largely assimilate even if their yards don't say it! Not to mention do this same interview in a largely Muslim area and see how the people react if you don't have a body guard!

Only my heritage is Indian (4th generation in Australia - my great grandparents came here) so obviously I present as one. Everyday, there's a new comment from a new person, another racial slur, another person throwing a bottle at me from their car as I'm walking, another passerby getting aggro at me for no reason, another form of insanity. How should regular people like myself handle this or deal with this? No trolling.

Hate to say it, but bike guy is right. I work in a (genuinely) diverse area and African men are by far the worst customers. Incredibly condescending, interrupt me constantly, and if they have a wife/girlfriend with them, they're constantly berating her. I've found Indians are cheap but generally polite, the biggest problem is that there's just too damn many of them and they don't assimilate, so you become a stranger in your own hometown when they move in. I remember looking for a place to get takeout around my boyfriend's house and it was literally 90% Indian food, 10% pizza with butter chicken and tandoori toppings.

Break down from a Canadian who moved to the US. Basically, Indians moved to Brampton because it was a cheaper area, yet close enough to Toronto. Immigrants drove taxi or drove truck usually were paid in cash, leading to tax evaluation. So they were able to save more... They were able to buy a bigger house for cheaper basically. New immigrants move to Brampton probably cause it easier. They don't need to assimilate as much as they sued to. They can speak their own language, not have to learn another, etc. You can actually see certain immigrant groups take to certain cities for the reasons above. Vaughn is Italian, Etobicoke was multi cultural, now Somalian(last I visited), sauga is Arab, etc The universities are a big scam, and the govt is part of it. They don't care cause they get money.... People create these fake colleges and bring in students. Students have "online" classes and so they don't actually go in . In Canada ur allowed to work 20 hours as a student, but all work more under the table. And yes. As a Punjabi, there is too many Indians. It was too many when I left. Worse now.. don't even like visiting Canada anymore unless I go to Barrie or something.

I do not deny the importance of shared commitments like the rule of law, freedom, and evidence based policy rooted in the Enlightenment and scientific thinking. But culture and learning can coexist with those values. What troubled me most was how poverty and discrimination were replaced with racial generalizations, and how victim language was used to deflect responsibility, something that resembles DARVO. Given the same conditions, these problems could arise in any group, regardless of race.

As a Brampton resident, the newer Indians, are giving the good ones a bad reputation. It used to be more multicultural city and immigrants actually assimilated with the customs of, Canada. It’s pretty much 90% Indian now and about half of those don’t show signs of assimilating. Drivers here are so bad man! I’m convinced that a lot of them just pay for it. 😭 Their cuisine is good though, so, I’m grateful for that. 😅

I seen the same thing happening in California. It's in small towns adjacent to the 5 freeway in the Grapevine area . North of Magic Mountain. You'll see mostly only Indian stores and restaurants. Indiana don't like to assimilate to American cultures.

I know some folks, including my neighbour, who immigrated to Canada right after high School — they take services of immigration agents who have contacts with diploma mills there, get a student visa citing enrollment in a sham educational degree, join a minimum wage job and rig the whole process to attain PR & then citizenship — essentially giving low skilled, poorly assimilated labour the citizenship in Canada under guise of skilled or educated immigration. Even as an Indian, the whole situation is insane and astounding to say the least. Hindu Nationalism has spread its roots & conducts marches in Canada within the Indian Hindu areas like they do here in India and people have started performing river aartis as well (communal prayers to worship rivers) — all kinds of pernicious identitarianism is festering there. A ton of Indian immigrants now see Canada merely as a source to better life & resources, but relate to, & are patriotic towards India or assert their rawer religious Sikh or Hindu identity due to lack of any assimilatory pressure & absence of a well defined Canadian identity. Funniest part is Indians, esp Hindus, who vote for hindu nationalists ushering majoritarian policies in India, cheer for persecution of minorities and justify caste system, suddenly co-opt liberalism & decietfully use its talking points to defend their position as a minority in places they migrate to (they do not believe in so, and don't apply the same standards to themselves). If you wish to blame someone, blame the govt of Canada and its elites. At the end of the day, they wanted cheap manual labour, and opened the gates without much consideration.

India is called the 3rd world and 'Developing World' for a reason, after all. Many of them bring their bad habits with them all the time as well and make the rest of us actual civilized, well educated, assimilated and caring Indians look bad. India is multi-cultural, Punjab is only 1 part of India and their culture is different from the other Indian states represented in India. The behavior of Punjabi immigrants is not reflective of other Indian cultures in India. For whatever reason there seems to more Punjabi migrants in Canada than from any other state in India. Its the job of Canada to enforce assimilation and immigration rules, they deliberately don't. Littering and defecating in public spaces is illegal in Canada but the Canadian government refuses to enforce those rules.

I'm glad that my family immigrated to the US from Canada. We still have a place up that way in a very rural area and even that is falling apart. The Indians are coming in and taking a bunch of businesses and jobs from Canadians and they do not assimilate whatsoever.

Yeah as a Canadian who lives in the Greater Toronto Area, I can appreciate how immigration as a concept is good. But Canada is at a point now where a large influx of immigrants are shocking our economy and dropping our quality of life. And the majority of these immigrants come from one country. No hate to India, as a half Indian myself, but when you bring these people over in droves, they feel it unnecessary to assimilate as they all coalesce with each other - where they feel comfortable. So you have the majority of them who don't speak our language, who don't carry our values, and don't feel that any of it is required. And it makes you feel, as a Canadian like you're being taken over. We want a lower immigration rate, and we want a greater spread of people from across the world. I don't want Canada to become India.

Mortgage fraud has also increased DRASTICALLY since the influx of new immigrants coming to Canada within the last 10 years. And who is doing the fraud? 95% of the fraud cases are new immigrants from India. There are many good people that come from india, but there are FAR more than don't assimilate, have no interest in ever assimilating, and they abuse our social systems, stealing from every Canadian as well as cause our quality of life to drastically drop. People were actually selling "Beach $hitter" t-shirts because the problem was getting so common. Immigration is ok, but the amount of people the Canadian government has allowed into Canada, ALL from totally different cultural origins, in such a short amount of time was never, and will never be sustainable. In my opinion, Canada needs to full stop close its borders to anyone immigrating for at minimum 5-10 years, to allow the countries infostructure time to catch up with the masses of people who have already come into the country. Indians are generally good people some might have issues but hey no one ain't perfect. Now the issue is I prefer migrants to assimilate e.g. I am a japanese migrant in canada so I decided to do things to be canadian speak English, Go skiing and live like everyone else Not building my own japan town or whatever. I’m Punjabi, Indian and my parents came in the 1970s assimilated, and became hard working people and earned a name and reputation! The Indians coming in now are degenerates, entitied to PR and the they don’t act like students they want to drive around in jeep wranglers and chargers in plazas and fight with one another like morons! They have brought the Sikh people name down. Sadly there’s two parts, the good Indians are taken advantage of and their employers take advantage and they have to live in rental properties with tons of people living at once but in the end there’s a lot to uncover!

Most of this issue is caused by north Indians who find it hard to assimilate especially the Sikhs. And the issue was caused by the canadian government who prioritized quantity over quality. As an indian immigrant there are times I feel disgusted by their behavior. Due to this behavior the nicer Indians who hold up canadian values are getting the same discrimination. Me myself is a catholic indian who had to leave the country because of the religious bullshit caused by north Indians. We were not even allowed to have a peaceful Christmas in India. As I moved to Canada I faced more racism from north Indians as I eat beef and pork and dont speak hindi. It breaks my heart everytime when I get discriminated from people thinking that i am a punjabi. I just want to live a normal life and follow my faith. I’m Australia on a work visa in Canada and I’m shocked by how many Indians are here. I’m assimilating to the Canada culture and ways but a lot of them here I’ve noticed don’t and won’t.

I live in Brampton. And all I can say is thanks for visiting and spreading the word on this problem. I was born in Brampton, and my mother tells me about how much it's changed. Many of my friends and family friends have moved to other neighborhoods POST mosques being put up near their homes. And let's not talk about employment and foreign "students". I was lucky to get a job last summer at a family owned small business Ice Cream store right after high school. We even got a review saying we weren't diverse enough despite us being a group of White, East Asian and Black employees lol. And many people say if your not Indian and your getting your drivers test, you go out of Brampton to do the test because you'll likely get discriminated by who is running the test. It's absolutely absurd. It sounds like tin foil hat sh*t, but if you live here like me everything comes full circle. But ofc there are good ones, but they are typically the westernized ones, who have assimilated, they play or watch hockey and have developed a Canadian accent. But the majority haven't assimilated, they are likely first generation, and they do things like stuff 15+ people in one suburban home. And just small things like staring at you in public (idk why their community stares you down), they spit on sidewalks, and they use some crazy a$$ spices when they cook. The smell carries over for blocks and you know your in deep Brampton territory when your driving and that smell of spicy curry hits you and you gotta roll up them windows lol. It's a nasty smell. This mass migration is a huge issue and needs awareness.

Tyler, Canada hasn't been a "white" country in a long time. Brampton is known for being an Indian enclave. I grew up in the GTA, and we had plenty of different ethnicities and that was just fine. Canada embraced multiculturalism a long time ago- there isn't any central "Canadian values". Not assimilating is only offensive in America.

Imo this isn't colonization or an invasion, no one's getting r*ped killed or forcefully moved from their homes. They are weak and choose to move away from the Indians. Also many Indians will adapt a more western lifestyle overtime due to assimilation so cleanliness won't be a big concern overtime. In history migrations like this happen and have happened so many times and sometimes the demographic of a country is permanently changed, it always happens. Stop complaining about it, nothing lasts forever.

In Canada, we imported almost 10% of our population is the last five years, the majority of whom came from India. There's no doubt that Indian culture is not the same as Canadian culture, and importing such a massive number so quickly means we are far more likely to see those cultures bumping up against each other, rather than giving them a chance to assimilate and blend. Like any good cook, I know if you try to add the eggs too quickly and in too much of a hurry, you get scrambled eggs in weak sauce, not a thick creamy custard. Same principle applies to immigration. We need to give people the time and chance to learn and absorb our culture and values, else we end up with ghettos and a weakened society.

It's cool to have East Indians here in Canada... but for Christ sake, they better assimilate to the Canadian way, speak English or French and respect the indigenous culture. 🤦 If they left India, then they should leave their past behind. 🤦
