The older whites in Brampton seem to be blaming others because they failed in life. Anyone in Brampton knows a lot of the whites are on drugs in the downtown area. People started getting annoyed about Brampton when the international student boom happened. This is different from families settling or people starting families. Young students who are basically poor and desperate take up all the jobs and they pack so much into one house. Indian international students have ruined Indian reputation in Canada. Indians figured how to game the system and flood Canada better than other nationalities. And it’s true they do not integrate. They leave their land and come to a place where it’s just like home. Where they can live work, and go to school and not interact with any other race, ethnicity probably can go weeks without speaking English. Chinese have similar places like this but they’re not frowned upon.

Sad to see the racist comments both in the video as well as in the comments. There is no doubt that Canada took too many immigrants in the past 5-7 years. The reasons are many - and the blame goes on both the provincial conservatives and federal liberals. The tuition freeze in Ontario caused colleges and universities to treat foreign students as an ATM to balance their budgets. Foreign enrollments skyrocketed, especially in colleges, with students paying top dollar for dubious degrees with no job prospects. This put strains on the job market, and the housing/rental market. As an educated Indian-American who now lives in Canada, it pains me to see my fellow countrymen dominating Uber, Uber Eats, Bicycle food delivery and Tim Hortons. No one uproots everything in their home country and comes all the way for this. Most of these people are here legally and they work really hard. A last word - leaving aside the Khalistan issue that has caused a wedge between Hindus and Sikhs - the Indian diaspora, especially the Sikh, are amazing in the amount of charitable work that they do. Their concept of seva is unmatched. No one goes hungry when there is a Gurdwara around, as there is always free nutritious food. Same is true for temples. Even a young poor Steve Jobs ate at Iskcon temples. Last point - while some of Canada's problems are because of excessive immigration, Canada would be nothing without immigrants. The population would decline, with a native fertility rate of under 1.4, and entitlement programs would be in deep trouble.

As an immigrant like myself, I came to study in Canada. I came to learn Canadian culture which has always been polite, humble, and friendly. I am a new permanent resident in Canada. This video is very true regarding our integration. You are absolutely right. Newcomers must integrate, as it is the beginning of a new life in a new environment. What I do not fully agree with is when you complain about the social benefits given by the government to newcomers. It is not free money; we will pay it back later in taxes. We cannot build life projects depending on these benefits. Ask each newcomer if they are satisfied with these benefits rather than a good job. We want to contribute to the economy of this beautiful country. For example, I came to Canada with specific goals, including starting an IT company, which was difficult to achieve at home due to lack of opportunities. So, don't blame immigrants too much; in my opinion, responsibilities should be shared among all of us, including the government.

My mother came to Canada in 1965 with her family. She learned how to speak english by watching kids shows on TV. She had 4 girls by 1979. She could speak fluent English by that time. We lived in low rentals with other immigrants. It was all about one another. The many different cultures came together and shared. We were all dirt poor, but we all accepted one another for who we are. No one was better than another. Every kid I grew up with was a tried and true Canadian. Every single one became a citizen if they weren't born here. We all learned from one another. This Canada? It's not the Canada I know. I was born in Ontario. Many of my family members are still there. They're looked down upon. What? They're Canadians but they're looked down upon for being in that same small town. It's Sad. The only reason you can use the term Immigrant is because the govt issued visas. But that being said the govt fast tracked the usual immigrant process which takes months to years. Welp, about a half an hour ago when I got home, I realized that someone broke into my apartment building and stole my shoes that were infront of my door. SHOES. last year someone broke in and stole my bike. The thing is, this area was NEVER like this. It was safe and people trusted each other. Guess what has changed? If you look at the FAR more relevant figures for actual population growth, they show that the population will grow MUCH more slowly in 2025 than it did in 2024. I'm disappointed that the person who made this video did not see fit to provide real context to all this anti-immigrant sentiment. Inflating the problem is dangerous. The economic hurt is real, but throwing into the mix completely misleading figures about how fast the population is growing only serves to weaponize the pain being felt from the economy, against immigrants. So true I come to Canada at 16 started working at 17 pay tax ever since I have never collected anything from the government. Now at 54 I have bad lungs and still haven't use the system.
