When I was at LA Fitness in Brampton, not once did an Indian who put their swim shorts on get in the pool while I was swimming in 2 years they would walk out when they saw me, I made friends with one of them and asked why they’d do that, he laughed and said “they think white people are dirty” so it goes both ways.\n\nAnd the cleaner who worked there hated his job because of how many times he would go to clean the showers and there was a big pile of shit on the shower floor…

Just remember that a lot of people have a before and after view. Back in the day a school photo looked like a meeting of every country and now in some areas, those photos look like one country only. My point is that people grew up in a multicultural environment. Very rarely did one group have so much impact with so few people in such a short time. The long and short of it is stop driving like an entitled @$$, mow the lawn, don't be the loudest people, don't crowd, have large gatherings in public areas where you take over some place so that nobody can use it. Some people just want to get in, get their stuff and go home. I understand that the 2 countries in the world with the largest population like to be very sociable and crowd together, but neither of the two groups want to follow rules, laws or be considerate of other people. It's all about them and how they want to live. Imagine you've been paying taxes and following the laws and being considerate of other your whole life and someone coming to the country and making no effort to behave.

I am constantly annoyed by the following, but because I was born in Canada, I would be cancelled for saying the things you can. I am also Indian. Here’s the list that comes to mind. I might come back and edit this because I am sure there are things I am forgetting: \n\n- coughing into your elbow instead of your hands (literally watched a guy yesterday on the bus cough into his hands then put his hands onto the support bar)\n\n- Standing to the side and letting people off the train so you can get on instead of trying to walk through people who are trying to get off \n\n- Standing up and moving to the side to let somebody off on an inside seat of the bus. I have a butt. I don’t want to be squeezing by you \n\n- Taking off their backpack while standing on the bus and putting it between their legs\n\n- Moving to the back of the bus instead of crowding by the doors\n\n- Standing in lines to get onto the bus instead of crowding\n\n- Not littering. Either put your garbage in the bin or take it with you. Stop leaving it on the beach or on hiking trails.\n\n- Learn about hiking before attempting it. We have people going up in jeans and flip flops in the evening and getting stuck on mountains or injured. Some wear running shoes but they don’t have enough traction for the trail\n\n- Shovel the sidewalk in front of your home when it snows\n\n- Stop dousing yourself with axe body spray. \n\n- Understand that Indian food makes your clothes smell. It gives off oils that get stuck in everything. Open your windows and doors when cooking to minimize this as much as possible. You won’t be able to resolve this entirely but do what you can. The skytrain now smells like Indian food even when empty. \n\n- Stop riding your bikes and scooters on the sidewalk. It’s illegal and you have a responsibility to learn the rules \n\n- Stop hiring everybody that you know. Before nepotism was all about networking, but nowadays, it seems to be about hiring Indian people that you know. I am being discriminated by employers because they think I will do the same once I am in. Diversity in teams matters. Indian immigrants don’t seem to believe in this and think all that matters is the most qualified get the job. This is how you end up building facial recognition models that don’t recognize Black people. \n\n- You work at McDonald’s. Stop blasting Indian music. The McDonald’s by my place is blasting Indian music from the back and it overtakes the restaurant music. \n\n- In a work environment, even if it is all Indians, speak English. You ostracize your fellow colleagues and customers. You are also not improving your English skills by speaking in your primary language.\n\n- Make an effort to make non-Indian friends. It’s really intimidating even as an Indian to see large packs of Indian men\n\n- Learn how to swim. Every year we have multiple drownings at a lake because Indian people are unprepared for the reality of the water. This is a basic safety skill.\n\n- Stop staring at women. Even as an Indian woman I get stared at by these guys. Just stop. \n\n- Get headphones. Playing music or having conversations on speakerphone in public places is rude and very inconsiderate of others \n\n- Stop cheating. Whether that’s cheating the system or during classes. We grow up here and environment that even though we can cheat, the culture makes it completely unethical and you just don’t. The consequences are significant. I get it that you come from a country that doesn’t have enough resources for its population, but you give the entire Indian community a bad name when you cheat, lie, and do other unethical things.\n\n- Learn about Canadian values. The Canadian charter of rights and freedoms exists. Under it cases were won supporting equality for women, LGBTQ rights, etc. this is built into our constitution and it’s so ridiculous to come across people who don’t adopt Canadian values. Why choose Canada if you want a culture of what’s back at home. \n\n- I get it that our healthcare system needs to improve but am disappointing reading advocacy for private healthcare in Indian Facebook groups in Canada. Tommy Douglas was voted as the greatest Canadian. He is the founding father of our nationalized healthcare system. For the most part, Canadian are happy that we don’t have a healthcare system like the United States, where your access is determined by your employer or your income. We don’t go bankrupt when we have a health emergency. Go back to India or go to another place where you can pay for private healthcare, but stop advocating to transition our healthcare system to a private system. While you’re at it go look up who was determined to be some of the greatest Canadians.

Stop hiring only Indians and telling Canadians that Canadians are not allowed to get jobs in their own country and telling Canadians that Canadians are not a good fit for the Indian Culture. That is creating hatred towards Indians. Stop firing the white people that brought you to Canada and gave you a job. This is racism. Any Indian that fires all races and hires only Indian has no place in Canada. Canada is a multi cultural country. Any one that is not multicultural has no place in Canada and needs to go back to their racist countries and has no place in Canada. This needs to stop altogether. Immigration is NOT an economic plan and as such has worn quite thin. It has become so difficult to own and run a business (at least in Ontario) and probably the rest of the country due to taxation and added things like carbon tax which has never been explained in a meaningful way. There is also an issue of interprovincial consortiums buying up franchises in bulk and hiring only foreign nationals to work there. These politicians are in denial and have no stake in this which is why it seems like a viable solution. Some of them are also landlords and involved in the secondary mortgage market with investment funds, all the while making policy to keep working people and the middle class off the property ladder. You can’t get approved for a 2000 dollar a month mortgage but you sure can rent one of their properties through a buying consortium for 3500 dollars a month. It is obscene the grift that has taken place and all the while they have had a hand in fomenting a purchasing frenzy for homes which drives their property values / investments through the roof, sometimes to the tune of 10x what they paid for them. It is corrupt and if anyone thinks that 25million dollar Pollievre is going to be different then think again…..it will be a repeat of Stephen Harper only worse (he is pulling the strings for Pollievre.

Lived in the US for 4 years and bought 5 rental properties in my home country. Now I'm retired at the age of 34. It was the best decision I have ever made. I am now building a business and want to expand to Canada for my actual retirement. There are a lot more reasons to leave Canada other than the insanely high cost of living, which comes from inflation, a hidden tax, the higher crime or greater drug use. In general the quality of the people sucks, and what she may know but is not mentioning is the fact that it is only a matter of time before they institute digital mark of the beast central bank slave money in Canada. Then the government will control your money 100%, and will tell you what you can do or not do and thing or not think or poof, there goes your money. For the past several years, Canada has only been a stopping off point or a temporary layover before you embarked on your next journey so you're not really losing anything. You're a citizen of the world, really. You're just basically looking for a home base of sorts that makes economic sense as you continue you're nomadic lifestyle. Germany should send recruiters to US colleges and universities. Remember that the largest minority in the United States are German Americans!! Stop going to the ME and places that don't respect your values. Also in Argentina and Chile, and Dominican Republic, and Colombia ( yes really) have huge German communities. I was going to say the immigrant only thing is one thing on TOP of the INSANE pricing... you gotta be a girl working and can't have ANY vice or plan on having ANY kind of life or freedom even though you pay to live there, even working a full time job you will be struggling and majority of these lower rent places were great and usually always been for students no matter what your sex or where you are from to which if you are getting government money to attend school you can only work a certain amount of hours with that funding for school being BARELY enough to get by and forget about it if you have disability you get slightly more but NO landlord wants you if you have disability.... Landlords need to be stopped and controlled.

As an American I watched because I wanted a realistic perspective of the issues with immigration from a place that typically loves immigration. I completely agree with the Daniel Bernhard that the real issue (including the US) is the laws and policies put in place that don't allow for what should be a natural growth of the population. Questions should be asked like Why do we not have enough housing, jobs, healthcare, etc. The cost of everything going up is not singularly the fault of immigrants, and stopping immigration will NOT solve those problems.

We were going to Chicago to visit family and took a wrong turn off. Ended up in a place I had only seen in movies. Cars jacked up and stripped , boarded up windows and a lot of of people in the streets. We were to afraid to stop and ask for directions. Cop car pulled up beside us, guns visable and angry looking police. Still didnt ask for help .\nMy baby spent 2 weeks in Sick Kids hospital. Major emergency surgery. They accidentally gave me a copy of the bill. It was well over $200,000. Never cost us a dime except for parking. \nI happily live in Canada and wouldn't be anywhere else.

The government invited a flood of people into the country without having the necessary infrastructure in place—jobs, healthcare, housing—to support them. Now they're trying to cap immigration, hoping for a turnaround, but it's like closing the stable door after the horse has bolted.\n\nCanada's drug and crime policies are an absolute joke. I also have an Instagram account where many students ask me about studying in Canada. I always tell them that if they're doing well in India, they should stay there. The problem isn't just with India's education system—it's with the unrealistic mindset of people wanting to come to Canada.\n\nWe see students desperately going from one store to another, begging for jobs that simply aren't there. Some even sell their land or property, especially in Punjab, thinking they'll find a better life here. But right now, it's just not worth it. When I advise others, they think we're living the dream in Canada while trying to stop them from coming. I moved to Canada 12 years ago, and the country has changed beyond recognition.

The house prices will go down when people stop buying them. As long as there are people who can afford to pay what the homeowner wants, they will NOT go down. That's how a free market works. And other Canadian cities could stop collecting garbage all the time and not fix their roads because many people can't afford to pay their property taxes due to high employment. Soon every city in Ontario will be brown town… why is it that we never really had all these scams going on till the last few years?only people I see get caught are brown with multiple fake ids. Non stop scam calls, texts , emails mainly preying on our elderly people and what do they get a theft under 5000 charge and that’s nothing. You have people renting rental to turn around and not live in it just rerent them to brown people and stick 4 in each room for 500 a person.. what to pay for the house they live in or send it all back home. If your white here they won’t even rent to you even if you wanted to because they know the only people that will live in those conditions are them. I’m Indian and I will be damned if I say I agree with you. This shouldn’t be allowed. Follow the rules. This mob culture has to stop. I work my ass off and I can’t get by. My industry went on a strike for a year and I couldn’t get a survival job. These students can move from one province to another any time they want. How is this possible. Isn’t there any law to prevent them moving from the place they came to “study” in the first place and move to another location just for PR? I waited two years to get my police verification done from all the countries I worked before my immigration application got approved. These days it’s like the immigration ministry is handing over permanent residency like candies. More over if I go to a shop ask for help I get answers in a language I don’t speak or follow. Why are we allowing this? Why can’t these guys speak English or French? Why am forced to learn Punjabi? If these guys want to create a ghetto for themselves why are they doing it here? Who’s allowing all this? What’s happening to those English language tests? I don’t care if they fulfill any of those departments that require eligible workers. Why do we have to import truck drivers and factory workers? I’m fed up with this and I wonder why Canadians aren’t worried about their country and culture and react like they do. Let's make Canada great again. Actually I'm kidding. Let's not go down that road. It's easy to poke holes, and cherry pick problems, much harder to appreciate the good things we have. Canada has problems for sure but every place does and we really don't have it so bad. Unreasonable expectations are just as big of a problem as high prices. If Vancouver is too expensive then go somewhere else. I did. Canada is a big place. Very big. There are loads of opportunities if you get out of the rut you are in and stop thinking that life owes you a certain lifestyle.

Because the vacancy rate is so low which proves that A LOT of people want to live in Canada. The video itself speaks to NIMBYism and municipal government’s slow reaction to accommodate construction. The only thing the Feds did is to allow more people that want to be Canadians to have a chance. Low wages and the high cost of products are the fault of greedy corporations. Those people leaving and can no longer stay in Canada is the result of natural selection. I get that everyone is struggling, and feel that we need someone to blame. Since we can’t control our neighbours that stop progress and the corporations that gouge us, as a democracy, we go after what we do control- our government- even if the problem isn’t really of their creation. This issue of affordability is happening all over the world. Corporations and those who run them disproportionately keep all the money. But that doesn’t mean that Canada isn’t a great place to live and raise a family. It’s a huge country. The only thing the Feds can do is incentivize companies to set up shop in less desirable places and eleviate demand off of Vancouver and Toronto (the usual suspects and source for all those rental shortage b-rolls). Then, the neighbours in Moose Jaw will start complaining that their town is changing too fast.

For all of those Canadians moving to Mexico, please stop, you beautiful people are making our towns so expensive for Mexicans, we need to move somewhere else ?. Friend lives in a small town. She was excited that there was a new Dairy Queen opening up. Figured she could get a part time job there. Nope, Indians bought the building, bought the apartments upstairs, and aren’t hiring anyone because they brought all of their own people. When is this crap going to stop? They are moving into condos now. Only a matter of time before they move their entire families into condo buildings and take the whole thing over. Getting ill causing a month long stay in the ICU left me homeless as living paycheck to paycheck causes once the cheques stop , I was placed in a Toronto homeless shelter 3 years ago and I can tell you that African refugees enter a shelter and no more than 3 weeks later are housed usually 5 at a time all Getting a fully paid market value 1 bedroom apartment average price $2,600 monthly that with a monthly welfare cheque and free food dental medical prescriptions clothing WIN WIN WIN the Canadian born homeless shelter residents get put on a 38,000 name waiting list for Ontario's drug infested housing ghettos the Africans are being housed under a kept secret program called COHB secret from us Canadian homeless that is and I've witnessed this now at 5 different shelters I've been in, having befriended one of the African migrants who is a little unstable drinking alcohol and smoking pot so he hasn't been housed but he has shown me the paper work that has been housing his fellow illegal immigrants and I say illegal because they all came as visitors only to claim asylum as soon as they land he also told me they all borrow the money for their plane tickets from a gang who once they land and start instantly getting welfare have to send half the proceeds back to this gang in Africa for the next two years , in this shelter donated clothing comes in everyday and two African shelter residents fold and sort the clothing taking all the name brand clothes what they didn't hand out to the other Africans they walk to the post office and ship it back to Africa I'm not making this shit up after we complained to staff which also happen to be made up from the Africans themselves yes they've hired wolves to watch over the other wolves so they now aren't walking out the front door everyday with garbage bags full of clothes at least not in front of our eyes DON'T CALL ME RACIST I know that's the go to word when this insanity is made public , what do you think is the first thing these Africans do when they walk into their free apartment? Lynn Ngugi am so grand you touched on the taxes as a factor and how they work in other countries where people actually do pay taxes . Unfortunately our fellow citizens will fight tooth and nail because they don’t want to pay taxes . Even those who can afford to pay will fight to be exempted from paying including going to courts just to avoid paying taxes . \nLife in Diaspora may look easy and smooth running to those not living there that is because the mechanism of running the economy is well put in place .\nHowever our people please remember the residents in these countries are actually paying taxes and in turn their government uses this tax money to run the economy . \n\nSo in these countries that we are running to as refugees ?believe you me if you are legitimately employed earning a living and with a paycheck then you automatically become a tax payer as well no body is fighting that . \n\nSo our people let’s stop fighting our own regimes on every policy concerning paying taxes , otherwise we are doomed and will be on exodus status for eternity. You look like nice and reasonable people but come on. Complaining that there is no Islamic Environment in a non Islamic country is exactly the problem why a lot of people want you to go. I am born in a non Islamic country and do not want to live in a Islamic country. Why do other people 1st, 2nd or 10th generation from Islamic countries feel the need to change my country to an Islamic one while you have plenty of places to go. The answer is yes. Those students know that it is a ticket to stay. A foot in the door. They are a strain on government services, housing, food banks and most come here without proper resources that is one of the requirements for entry. Even if they pay more it shouldn't take spaces that Canadian should be entitled to. They take jobs that belong to Canadians, housings that belong to Canadians. In london ontario close to 12 thousand international students take up the affordable housing for people of london. This causes so much distress on the low income people try to find a place .Then greed of developers and landlords causes the rents to go up so much that those on fixed incomes can't afford there rents and rent evictions happen as landlord look to cash in . Time to stop this madness. Local government in london has done little to stop this issue either.

Canada is a country that is built on middle class where a large part of the population are within the same earning range. There are positives to this, less crime, there is not a huge disparity between rich and poor which makes for a more sane environment don’t get me wrong, we still have our crime rate. Now you can see that the professional programs are limited compared to other countries in the universities and highly competitive so that you don’t have so many professionals with high earning power thereby creating a huge disparity. On the other hand, these high earners don’t get a tax return, get any govt cheque, their kids don’t get huge amounts for OSAP instead, they get billed to pay back the govt and that’s how those of you complaining now where able to get govt cheques when you just relocated, support low income homes and newly landed immigrants. There’s free health, good Ammenities, snow is cleared, the roads are salted and de iced, free Education, govt loans and school loans that’s where your tax money goes to. Everyone has an accent that’s your identity why will you feel somehow or intimidated when you are told you have an accent that’s being timid say yes I have an accent it’s African or Caribbean etc. About racism it’s rare never experienced it that’s not saying it doesn’t happen but am gonna call you out if it’s obvious I have been profiled. Yes the weather is harsh did you not look at your map before relocating ?? In all most of these complaints are individual experiences so I won’t invalidate it but don’t trash what you gained from. Retraining and certification is a must especially when you are coming from a certain country and it’s not a bad idea. Am in healthcare and retraining is a must if you didn’t school here cos it’s entirely different talk about work ethics, equipments, software, differentiation in policies, health laws and malpractice laws.\nLook at the brighter side of life and stop complaining migration has its pros and cons position yourself in a place to have a good life, go back to school, get certified, keep retraining and adding value to your certificate.

Not everybody is that foolish live in cities where you look at concrete all day, and have to deal with pollution, crime, traffic, etc. There are tons of beautiful smaller places in Canada where it's great living. I am so proud of you. May Allah make it easy for you. Im considering leaving England insha Allah with my family and will be travelling Eastern bound to find the place thats right for us. Pakistan is my first stop . Funnily enough i was born there but was brought to England at the age of 2 when my parents decided to move here for a better life so they say. Its been a disaster and deep down i never felt this was my home . Now even more so .
