Why don’t they want to stay in Canada, it’s socialist and liberal? Canada thinks Trump is not serious about this, let’s get those tariffs going.

Regarding tariffs on Canada. The real target are corrupt Liberals, not us the Canadian citizens. Trudeau act like an evil teenage spoiled brat. His word salads and extravagant lavish expenses that benefits himself and his buddies NGOs have to be exposed and sentenced to jail. Trudeau is best buddy with Gavin Newsom, so, go figure right? We need an election, we will elect Conservative Poilievre for our new Prime Minister, and we need a DOGE for Canada. Cheers!

THIS is why Trump is imposing tariffs on Canada. They don’t do ? about illegals crossing from their country to the US . Canada needs to be taught a lesson. As a canadian, our government couldn't care less that we are being hurt by the tariffs . The liberals (democrat equivilant) are even more corrupt than the democrats from u.s.. They would gladly see our country collapse or be sold to the u.s. as long as they get a big cheque out of it.

Accept the fact that this is the leadership that we (the majority of) working, middle class Americans wanted. We are pulling the economic weight in this country and we are tired of pulling the weight of those that do not contribute.\n\n2. If you haven't already, get a job. Every business in the country is hiring. And you get paid for the work you do. And the harder you work and the more you learn, the faster you will advance, and the more you will earn. It's an amazing concept.\n\n3. Understand that if you are a U.S. Citizen, or have already started the legal process to become a U.S. Citizen that you are not going to get deported! I don't care what your favorite liberal media channel says.\n\n4. Tariffs are a bargaining chip. When you are in business you make deals, and sometimes you have to play hardball. That's how you get the deals you desire.\n\n5. The Civil Rights Act of 1964 protects you from discrimination by age, sex, race, etc. DEI openly violates this. Democrats want you to believe the opposite is true because they value your vote more than your quality of life.\n\n6. It's not the government's money, it's your money. You absolutely should give a damn about how it is spent.\n\n7. We are not the World Bank. If other countries need help they should raise their own finances. I don't recall receiving any hurricane relief money from India or China.\n\n8. Drill baby, drill. Want to know why? Because we have it. Are electric cars the future? Not in their current form. There is way more oil in the ground than lithium, and guess where most of that is? China. Want food prices to come down? Then energy costs have to come down. And that means oil, gas, coal, and nuclear. Unicorn farts and liberal tears won't power your car!\n\n9. The economy and the security of the country are far more important than your feelings, get over it.\n\n10. There are men and there are women. Simple as that.\n\n11. Education is to establish a learning core that prepares a child for the real, working world. Anything else is wrong.\n\n12. Donald J. Trump is the President of the United States and he won by a landslide — both the popular vote and the electorial vote. Get over it.

Don't buy into this Canadians. \nThese Liberals are delighted they can now campaign against Trump instead of Canada's conservatives. \nTrudeau's tariffs on American imports will directly raise prices in Canada, not the US, and will provide a windfall of tax money for his spendthrift government.

Trump did a favor to Canada if these dumb liberals can understand! Stop being dependent on Americans by lifting taxes tariffs between provinces, lift the dumb carbon tax and build pipelines!

I'm just speculating, but obviously Trump's stated reasons for the tariffs against Canada don't reflect his real strategy. He wants to exert maximum pain and pressure on the current liberal government in Canada so that its more likely a conservative like Poilievre will get elected. Then, he'll end the tariffs handing him a victory and thus solidifying a conservative influence. Maybe. In any case, he wants more influence over Canada and its unnerving to watch.

Trump said, Secure the border and pay the 2 percent to the military.\nInstead, Eastern leaders decide to WAIT for threatened tariffs and, when it happens, they decide on having a trade war.\nThat is liberal thinking in action.\n\nHow much would it cost to secure the border and pay the 2 percent Canada owes? (which would benefit Canada).\n\nInstead they choose to show their pride and demonstrative stupidity.\n\nIt's the Canadian people that suffer.\n\nTHEY SHOULD HAVE LISTENED TO ALBERTA'S PREMIER DANIELLE SMITH.\n\nWake up Federation leaders.\nCanadian citizens (especially in the west) are going to suffer (even more than you've already caused).\n\nGet back to improved relations with the US, and, ALSO, seek out more trade with EU and anyone other country available.\nThis will make Canada stronger.\nWell, that and actually having elections!

I am a Canadian in Alberta and the reality is that the Liberals have weakened the Canadian economy and our standing in the world. Their decision to cripple our oil and gas industry and our lack of ability export our products elsewhere in the world is an issue created by the policies of the Liberals. To impose a carbon tax and further weaker the average Canadian is terrible. There are some policies I don't like out of the U.S. but the reality is that it is never an idea to pick a fight with the toughest kid on the block knowing you will lose. Trump doesn't even want the tariffs he wants Canada to pull it's weight in defense spending and cooperation. Trudeau backstabbed Trump in the past and that won't be forgotten. We need a new government with a leader that understands more than being a drama teacher and snowboarder. Unfortunately, most of the significant issues Canada faces is the result of self inflicted wounds resulting from incompetent leadership. We didn't have anywhere close this level of issues with the Harper government. We are lucky to have the U.S. as a neighbor so let's do what is good for both nations but there is no way the woke Liberal's can do it.

Trump is imposing those tariffs because both governments are liberal, and nothing to do with drugs coming into the US.

Under Trump, i think he may shut down any travel from India due to Brics. At some point, Trump will force bric members to make a choice, continue to be resistant to US hegemony and face tariffs and sanctions, or accept US global dominance. Trump is not a president, he is a dictator disguised as a president and he has Republicans: as well as, liberal leadership around the world) intimidated.

I just heard this. What is the motive behind the blockade? Is he liberal, meaning the leader of Colombia? Or are they saying no to international criminals? Why block it? Meaning Columbia. They are citizens of that nation. Feels like they are violating International law...meaning Columbia. Just take them back, and avoid the tariffs Why suffer economically to play politics in a country they don't live in? I question the Columbia's leader's morality. People will suffer, economically. Perhaps, that man needs to step down from his office for breaching international laws regulating international immigration treaties. Step down, being the civilized way, to avoid conflict and misery.

These Liberal Pinheads keep pushing their BS . Tariffs don't affect USA Consumers . Most Countries around the World have had Tariffs against the USA for Decades on certain Goods . It's a Protectionist Tool to keep USA Goods out of their Countries . The EU has had Tariffs against USA Cars for Decades now . Trump has railed against that for Years . USA Consumers will buy what they want or can Afford . If Countries that are Tariffed try to Raise the Prices of their Tariffed Goods to bet aroud the USA Tariffs , Trump could either reject their Goods with Sanctions , OR American Comsumers just won't buy them simple as that . The USA doesnt need alot of Products from other Countries Really . Those Countries need the USA Market More so they will comply with USA Demands eventually

Ah yes, Colombia are the only ones that can provide all that, people will not have other choices than to pay for the price differences caused by tariffs on Colombian products. Them liberals are dumb as duck.

Justin Trudeau tells the American press that Donald Trump is against illegal immigration and that he and Canada are welcoming to those in need. Now we hear the truth. He has slapped tariffs on America acting like he does so to pay back Trumps new tariffs, not mentioning that Canada has been unfairly selecting the US to bare unfair trade with Canada.

Justin is an idiot and then he will have to eat crow on tariffs!!! How sad to be the perfect little liberal but suck at being an actual leader!!!
