I was visiting when I felt sick. I came home asap. Turned out I had a tumour on my brain stem. Thankfulness. 4 surgical teams, 10 hr surgery, 1wk in hosp, months of homecare, rehab and follow up mri and care. Yikes. My sis moved down in 1976, was good when she was in her 30’s while she worked. Her husband, American, went off on Canadian disability and once my sister retired their healthcare costs were crazy. They moved to a state that had better senior med care. I was visiting four yrs ago. My sis had several hosp visits due to heart issues. She ended up having open heart surgery. The hospital was lovely. Care was great. Pt care room was huge. I was used to tight icu cubicles. She had complications, day 4 the social worker came to tell her she was being discharged the next day. Her insurance had run out. There was no further coverage!!! She was in her 80’s had just had a stent blow thru her R coronary artery 5 days earlier then have bypass surgery and had just come off a ventilator the day before. I had to get back to Canada the next day. Thankfully, the social worker was able to continue working to find respite care at a nursing home for her for a couple more wks. \n\nI love certain parts of the states having spent a majority of my childhood visiting since my big sister moved there. Both countries are having issues now. Housing sucks in canada. If you aren’t doing well financially, canada isn’t all that great anymore either.

I am so sorry, as a native Canadian, that Indians are feeling attacked. It is difficult, no matter your ethnic background, if you are not Indian to even acknowledge these issues because people are afraid of being labelled as racist so I thank you for bringing this topic up. Please understand this is the result of runaway immigrations with no real screening. The government quadrupled immigration, hundreds of percents increase in students, asylum seekers, and illegal entries, even though there was already a housing crisis, and a completely predictable doctor shortage due to aging out. Covid was just starting to get under control but many still needed treatment and BOOM, the population went from 30 million in 2014 to over 40 million in a decade, most of it in the last 3 years. We native Canadians are scratching our heads, we don't understand what the Liberals are trying to accomplish but to create suspicion and racism between groups of people -- divide and conquer? Maybe...but ultimately it is a complete lack of planning! Still 99 percent of Canadian born do not blame Iindividual ndians for this. I've lived and worked with Indians my entire life of over 60 years. There are now Indian gangs, particularly Punjabi gangs because of lack of oversight, and while they are small they are constantly committing crimes, selling drugs, shooting people all in the last few years. I hear gun shots nightly in my ethnically mixed neighbourhood, and we are all afraid to walk at night. Unfortunately the people arrested are mostly from continental India. Some have a political agenda that has to do more with India than Canada, so they recruit young Indo-Canadian children from good families and tell them they are being oppressed, and next thing these kids are acting as drug mules and enforcers, being told that they are fighting systemic racism. As for dancing and music, I love the cultural events, we are happy to see and even take part in Indian cultural events. IWhen I do hear people blaming India and Indians it breaks my heart too! Hopefully together we can fix this. Our governments are at odds, and I hate this -- they need to respectfully talk and work this out. All the Universities, especially in Ontario Colleges official representatives came to my home town , and told me that if I spend this much amount of money to study this many years , I can apply for a PR. That is why I came here. I chose to study in Algonquin college, Ottawa.I spend 4 times more than a Canadian student which I don't complain.\nAt least authority should keep there word, or give back the money. \nThey should not invite those students.\nThose who telling us to go back , should go back first Europe and practice what they preach.\nStudents came here in a student Visa, which can legally apply PR. I'm a truck driver & when you spoke about manners it reminds me of the numerous times while on the road I will flash my lights to tell another truck driver his trailer is clear so he can come back over into my lane, but 90% of the time the Indian drivers don't flash back to say thank you. We needed your honesty here good sir! I can't go to India and do whatever I want and that should tell you how much Indians disrespect Canada and our country. It is not a small percentage of Indians it is cultural - Indians give off an attitude of I won't be assimilating to your Canadian culture. This was the case before the opened immigration policy but they stayed in line due to the risk of their residency. Today Indians are acting like social justice warriors, protesting and making demands all the while Canadians are suffering. Indians would never stand for this if non-Indians came to India and demanded anything as immigrants. Its a double standard in general they don't have critical judgement like you display in this video. Thank you for your candid perspective!

I’m totally agree with you we came here for better life and we have to respect the country who gave us everything now days new immigrants coming and want to live they live back home feel like I’m a guest and telling the person who sheltered to change lifestyle this is so unethical behaviour.Loud music reckless driving because of this everyone else is suffering with sky high insurance policy.you said right in you video they are getting jobs but has no gratitude to say welcome or thank you .We have seen beautiful Canada ?? and we want that back .We adopted this country and culture with our warm hearts and got lots of support and love back as well .

I am West Indian, descendent of India indentured workers. I love my country of birth, Canada where I have lived since 3, and I have much love and pride in my Indian roots. That being said, I have come to feel embarrassed of being taken for East Indian by other Canadian people. I moved to small city outside of Toronto in 2004. I loved it here! People were so welcoming, kind, friendly. I felt no prejudicial treatment from any of my neighbours. \nFast forward, my little city is now overrun with new Indian immigrants. I can’t tell if I am in the heart of Toronto or Brampton or my city of Oshawa. \nThe Indian people I encounter in the grocery store are pushy, have no Canadian manners, speak their language loudly, come to the stores with their entire family which fills up the isles and cause long lines. All the sale items are sold out by the time you get there because Indians are filling their cart with as much as they can purchase of any of the on sale merchandise. This never happened before. \nI am also saddened by being assaulted when an Indian person passes by and wave of body order sickens me. I don’t understand what the cause of that is. Not bathing regularly or not using deodorant. But I notice this everywhere I come in contact with Indians, men and women, young and old. \nI feel like I will be mistaken for East Indian myself which I have been when I went to the hospital. I was treated like I couldn’t speak English lol\nThe worst is the Muslims, they are the rudest the way they fill every available free space, make women feel uncomfortable and are just intrusive and unable to incorporate themselves with other Canadians. They also have a superiority attitude. \nThis is a plan honest list of observations. I hope they learn to integrate with Canadian culture, improve their language skills and learn proper hygiene. Stop hiring only Indians and telling Canadians that Canadians are not allowed to get jobs in their own country and telling Canadians that Canadians are not a good fit for the Indian Culture. That is creating hatred towards Indians. Stop firing the white people that brought you to Canada and gave you a job. This is racism. Any Indian that fires all races and hires only Indian has no place in Canada. Canada is a multi cultural country. Any one that is not multicultural has no place in Canada and needs to go back to their racist countries and has no place in Canada. The country I grew up in has gone to complete ratshit in the past 20 years. I had the opportunity to become a Canadian citizen 10 years ago through marriage, but never went through with it. In hindsight I'm so glad I didn't move to Ontario now thanks to the way Canada is governed. \nI put money on you moving to Thailand ? as its quite easy for 'Digital Nomads'...... \nMe, I think I'll stay in the UK and go down with the ship. ?
