The world can go on without America, Trump and his MAGA supporters need to realize that. They be acting as if they are some kind of vital source of energy / resources when their #1 export is war & conflict.

Trudeau its time Canada starts innovating, extracting the loads of natural resources we have, trim down the government and corrupt waste, and use carbon tax money to Produce our own Green energy. Electric cars, buses, rail, solar. Were is the billions of tax and carbon tax going. Our infostructure is piss poor, high utility bills, food, cost of living and housing is unaffordable

This is a move Trump himself didn't even want to take. He was forced to do so by the American energy sector. Trump wants america to become completely free of any foreign dependence. The only thing Canada has that the United States depends on is their energy for the Northern US. Trump has slashed regulations and opened land for American companies to start drilling and providing their own energy to the US. They decided against it for record profits. This will for e them to start drilling in the US by making it cheaper than getting energy from Canada. This has nothing to do with Russia. If it did, the US could get all the cheap oil and natural gas as he wants. Putin would give it to the US for free. Trump could careless about Russia or Putin. He wants american energy companys to start doing their jobs and provide energy to the american people at a reasonable cost. But all they are worried about is their record profits.

Everyone is guilty of dealing with Russia, including Canada, Europe & the USA. Europe got hooked on Putins energy, and the west continues to buy from Russia! Canada should permanently end all trade with America. To start with, end all energy exports to the Eastern Seaboard and bring the entire Eastern Seaboard to an immediate and compete standstill. American shipping and port traffic, all railroad traffic, all airline traffic relies on importing Canadian energy so cut off the supply and brine the entire Eastern Seaboard to an immediate halt.

I think finally Canada realized that if they have friend like US then they don't need any enemy. You can't trust US at all and need to start open your market for global trade. Then why bother and put your energy into someone who don't care. Let US do whatever they like and forget about them. Just don't go to US and don't deal with US.

Trudeau is serving the final moments of his last term, but his approval ratings shot up since the Trump presidency started. Trump genuinely such a crappy leader than other leaders with approval ratings in the dirt are gaining support for going against him. As an American, it’s damn amazing. I hope the next PM of Canada keeps up the same energy and doesn’t concede to the US. It’s really annoying that CNN continues to babble on instead of letting Trudeau finish his press conference and then proceed with their responses.
