Went through the pathway of studies-work-residency-citizenship\n\nLet me simplify the story for all of you guys here that lacks immigration intel. \n\n1) The quality of migrants you see here is not what Canada needs long term. It’s not a matter of ethnicity, but Canada needs to import talented and educated folks in medicine, engineering, trades etc. None of these individuals are interested in studying and are either attending 3rd grade colleges/universities to get a work permit and hoped to stay on. \n\n2) Shoddy sales tactics include lying or ‘avoiding stating the obvious’ that could make you lose the deal. This is exactly what the Canadian government did with these people. The Canadian dream was sold somewhat properly before 2017/2018 I would say. Post Covid there was a MASSIVE need of manpower in minimum wage jobs. The government could not afford increasing minimum wage at the time and international students would do exactly those jobs and bring in millions of dollars in tuition fees. The government opened the gates for these strip-mall colleges to take unprecedented numbers of students with allowances to work. These students were sold the exact same dream that a top quality University/college student is sold about Canada. They needed to be used at the time. And if they would’ve been told that their quality of students are only needed temporarily, they wouldn’t have come. The labour shortage at the time wouldn’t have been solved. So a CATCH 22 of the highest order. \n\n3) Canada CANNOT give in to such protests as it will set the worst example of migrant pandering for future generations. The best talent will refrain from entering Canada and more and more of these types of immigrants who do not want to assimilate to the Canadian culture will want to keep on coming.

They came in with dreams of becoming permanent residents. They paid thousands of their life savings for a better life. My colleague, who is a temperary worker from Japan, told us she was kind of forced to watch some religious videos while she was working, and this guy kept telling her that he is kind of a big person who has the authority to issue Canadian visa to foreigners to come to Canada. He told her to contact him in the future when she needs visa to Canada. My collegue said he seems from India or related country.Not 100% from India. She just said he seems like. --- I would not believe that Canada has a immigration problem if i have never heard what happened to my colleague. There is so much problems in Canada, like young people facing serious drug issues, homeless issues, etc. Canada needs to deal with these issues. Governments are lying to potential immigrants. I work with a guy who said he was told that his qualifications would be recognized when he landed and to not worry about anything. Upon arrival he applied for a job in his field and was told that his qualifications were not recognized. He was then told that he wold have to complete the equivalent of 4 years night school to receive accreditation. He wonders why he came but cant afford relocate back to his original home since it was sold and they used everything to come to a western country. He wasnt prepared for the cost of living and is now stuck in a country even he doesn't want to be in.

Punjab people need none of it, and Punjab fathers are selling their daughters to strange men, so the family can move to Canada together.\n\n- Statistics Canada often talk about how our population is aging: However, they do not disclose how many of these aging population is due to Indian nationals bringing their parents and grandparents with them. If we got a million Indian people in the past years, that would mean around extra 4 million people over 50 years old. That’s 10% of the entire population. \n\n- They are scammers. You said yourself: To be eligible for a mortgage , you need to make at least $250k per year. They are landing in Canada with no money, and buying houses right away, because they have a network of people forging financial documents, and the also have people infiltrated in banks to approve these processes. Not me saying, that was national news. \n\n- They are extremely racist. They will openly tell you they only rent/hire/do business with Punjab people. I was born and raised in Canada and in my 60’s now. We live in Houston, Texas, where the culture is more conservative. Parents are not told how to raise their children, cost of living is still relatively good, and being Muslim (wife wears hijab) hasn't been as challenging as other places. \n\nPlenty of Muslims from all over, mosques, Islamic schools, halal food, etc too. \n\nMy parents moved my siblings and I from Los Angeles to Karachi, when I was 12. Not so much for religious reasons, more homesickness. After a miserable 15 yrs, I moved back to the US. \n\nI'm not trying to dissuade you guys. Wanted to share a few key things to help your transition:\n1. Pilot it out. Move to Istanbul for 6 months, then maybe Kuala Lumpur for another 6 months, etc. Test out each location. Inflation is everywhere. Not all Islamic countries are Islamic. But you have to experience it first hand. \n2. Take LOTS of money. A decent life outside the first world means you're loaded. \n3. Build connections where ever you go. The things we take for granted are luxuries elsewhere. Water, electricity, gas. Connections help you get what you need, sometimes for a price. \n4. Schools will be underwhelming. If you can homeschool, cool. \n5. If you start a business, go solo. Don't partner up with others. \n\nIn any case, hope it works out inshaAllah. Who knows, we may be neighbors!

They made everyone retake pictures in a booth for £10 each which they had the keys for (I seen them open it as money got stuck). Only when you go to the desks when your number is called all those people were told their pictures were incorrect an the guy would take them with a camera they had. The original pictures many had come inti the building with were actually the correct formart but they were not accepting them. They were also making people do unnecessary photocopies from the machine in the place, and go on the internet at at ridicules charge unnecessarly. They would also make out there is a mistake on peoples form and then say they would refil it themselves for £10 cash. All these methods were illegal ways of getting money out of people. Dont believe go there and sit for 3 hour and see yourself.

The agents told them they can convert their visitor visas to work permits. True! But they dont tell them how hard it is to do it! (Harder than rocket science hahahaha)You must get a job with an LMIA(this document proves to the government that the employer has not been able to get a Canadian or permanent resident to do the job thats why they want to hire a foreigner) most of these guys don't even have enough money to survive for a month bcoz 'they will get jobs and convert their visas to work permits' \nLike that Indian guy said you need a skill. I have a work visa for the US and go there often. I go to many places that are not in the cities. I'm actually in South Dakota as I write this and find it to be a very pleasant place. I generally find everybody to be very friendly but can't help feel there are some topics that I just don't feel comfortable talking about in fear of triggering a strong response. I like visiting but would not consider moving there to raise a family. There is just a much greater chance of volitivity there. \n One time, while dinning out, I had a guy ask me, that because I didn't have a gun, what would I do if someone came to my home to rob me at gun point. I told him it never happens. But he insisted many times, but what if they did. I told him that it's not something I'd ever thought about and that I probably had a greater chance of dying on the plane ride home than being shot by an armed robber in my own home. But he kept insisting. I eventually told him I would help the robber take my stuff out of the house because that is what I have insurance for. I could not believe that this guy did not understand the concept of NO ONE (other then criminals shooting other criminals in the city) having a gun. \n I actually do have a long gun at my place in the country but that's to keep me safe from large animals that may come out of the bush. It is locked up in a gun cabinet by law. I would never think of using it against another person. I'd go to jail for sure if I did. Many of my friends hunt and have several guns but the restrictions on where and when you can use them and the strict storage requirements help ensure that they are not travelling around with a gun at hand. There are actually a few places in Canada where I've been that you do, or should, have to travel with a gun but these are remote areas of the country with large predatory animals. 99% of the population do not live in these areas.
