I am a Canadian in Alberta and the reality is that the Liberals have weakened the Canadian economy and our standing in the world. Their decision to cripple our oil and gas industry and our lack of ability export our products elsewhere in the world is an issue created by the policies of the Liberals. To impose a carbon tax and further weaker the average Canadian is terrible. There are some policies I don't like out of the U.S. but the reality is that it is never an idea to pick a fight with the toughest kid on the block knowing you will lose. Trump doesn't even want the tariffs he wants Canada to pull it's weight in defense spending and cooperation. Trudeau backstabbed Trump in the past and that won't be forgotten. We need a new government with a leader that understands more than being a drama teacher and snowboarder. Unfortunately, most of the significant issues Canada faces is the result of self inflicted wounds resulting from incompetent leadership. We didn't have anywhere close this level of issues with the Harper government. We are lucky to have the U.S. as a neighbor so let's do what is good for both nations but there is no way the woke Liberal's can do it.

Here’s an idea USA returns to a prime industrial nation that’s what made it the best country in the world in the first place. Trump has many flaws when it comes to tariffs but maybe the balance is that return to producing in the country.

The U.S. will learn a lesson soon, You cannot impose tariff on all products coming from Mexico without hurting your economy. The U.S. citizens will pay that decision without a doubt. Trump has no idea of how an economy works. In my opinion he should resign as a president even before he takes oath on January 2025. He should be put in a mentally psychiatric institute at least for 4 years until he learns his lesson.

We understand that the company that outsources labor and buys foreign goods pay the tariffs completely. The idea is to put those businesses out of business for ones that manufacture/purchase in the US. If you out source for personal gain while hurting our economy you shouldn’t be in business. First Trump's administration is going to be jacked up with little known outliers with controversial and radical ideas. That is what Trump is attracted to. His ideas of tariffs and mass deportations are deplorable. They both disadvantage the US instead making it better. However, the tariffs may as well be a scam to get companies profits as when Trump says 10% on item A, companies are going to raise the cost of item A 12 to 15% or so and blame the cost increase on tariffs. For deportation's, I hope most people realize that many working the fields as low wage labor are very well illegals, but they are hired because they keep food costs low. Raising all prices for the poor Republicans will not be beneficial because prices on goods can increase 15% or more but their employer is certainly not going give them a 15% raise to match the cost of living. So Trump has already made the business environment good for more profits by planning to make life more expensive for everyone so business can absorb the additional profits. Probusiness politicians help businesses make money and that money comes from households and the government. And making the government spend more means the government needs to tax more. But TRump is cutting taxes for the people that have the most money. And Trump raising prices with tariffs justs makes households poorer and business richer. Naturally, the stock market will record highs when all the indicators are that business will be making much greater profits from households when Trump takes office.

Republicans have absolutely no idea how to deport 15 to 20 million people. Between the mass deportation and massive tariffs the U.S. will be bankrupt within a year .
