Too bad - they are here to be students - we have no room - time to go home. This is ridiculous. They have no right to make demands - period. And we need the jobs for CANADIANS. Sorry but too bad if they got scammed. It would be great if our government cared about our own citizens and our prosperity first and foremost. Can't stand what the liberals have done to our country. The crazy thing is that some Canadians still have faith in Trudeau's party or just have too much trust in the government that they can turn this around. I want to see this country prosper but every few months I just keep on seeing new policies that the current government makes that just doesn't make sense.\n\nFew things to mention\n- No more investment in more roads by the federal government (I understand they want essentially to have citizens use cars less but they haven't provided a plan on how that money would be invested? I have yet to see trains being invested to connect cities such as High speed rail?)\n- Increased carbon taxes (most premiers were against this but they negged it on)\n- proposal and voting for Increasing taxes on capital gains (impact business that invest in Canada)\n- This is a positive thing but also happened because they polls went to the dump (increased investment in housing) and then decrease foreign student admission for future years ( I think this is where liberals say they have hope, but it's at a point where they messed it up and now are trying to fix it to make it look like they are fixing someone else's mess\n- The government is also just adding more policies we can't afford such as Dental plans for certain incomes, food in schools while the free health care doesn't really feel worth the taxes when the quality is not there. ( This is how they want to be the good guys when the conservatives need to cut costs to help resolve this mess)\n\nThe liberals are kind of like that guy in the family that takes a loan, pockets some money for corruption, then gives money away to charities saying I'm the good guy, and then doesn't know how to pay the loan back so asks for their family to help fund the debt.

All those who leave Canada will come back in 5 years. They will worship the country for its economic growth beginning with a new Clean energy sector. Liberals are on the right path, but with a lacklustre message that doesn't really counter the escape artists' conservative expense slashing without an alternative plan to place before the public for comparison. It's obvious that nobody wants to lose their earned income either through taxes or any other fees. But, the progressive conservatives say that environment and pollution is a business decision whereas Nature and environment is everybody's business. Every citizens business.If not for the natural resources the Fossil fuel industry fully backed by the conservatives would not make any money or profits. Hence shareholder primacy is a hoax in front of human energy that is sustained by clean environment. Mark Carney leads that mission internationally. Money is not Energy, it's only a lever. Therefore, you need people living in good health to action the lever. Canada is full of natural resources, untapped critical minerals etc. and has been able to garner large amounts of foreign investment from large corporations like Honda, Dow and BHP to develop the much demanded clean energy and Energy transformation better than the USA. These companies know Canada's potential for a reliable economy and economic growth.

home ownership is out of control in Canada because of Chinese moneys in real estate. I understand this is targeting Justin but the real issue is the Chinese investment pushing up prices to unreasonable levels. This is happening in other countries like Greece. New millionaires are picking up real estate in record numbers and thousands of new millionaires are being created in countries like India and China. Many of this could be money laundering like Russians and Chinese do in London and Dubai. What Canada needs to do is make it more expensive for overseas investors to buy homes, crackdown on criminal investments, increase the stock of homes, and reduce construction costs. Trudough does not have the balls to do any of this, as liberals generally lack discipline to be financially prudent.

I’m a little late to this video but have a lot to say. As a Canadian of Indian descent, I have always avoided Brampton. There is a stark difference between Indians from Brampton and those of us that are from other cities. This situation is out of control mainly due to JT but also colleges that have setup feeder international schools that cater just to Indian students. I’d imagine Chinese students have something similar to this as well, they’re just more quiet. \n\nA lot of the comments come off as offensive but it is what it is, There are too many of my ethnic people here and they’re not assimilating let alone intending to do so. Chain migration is another problem as it brings in an older generation that has no desire to learn English. Crime is having a runaway effect because of the environment they come from, fights break out at intersections, parking lots, backyards, front yards, etc. This is reckless and embarrassing for all Indians, especially us Punjabis. This goes unreported because of how vindictive these people are because of whichever town/city they came from. There are also rumours that these female students are home wreckers so there’s another layer. \n\nMy solution: \n1) Stop immigration, these people are giving our entire community a bad rep when we’ve worked so hard to get to where we are in this country. Return to skills based immigration, not WEF-based. \n2) Cap the international student populations tied to the census - this opens up opportunities for international students from ALL countries and walks of life. \n3) International students cannot be allowed to work - Canadian students First, Canada First. \n4) After graduation, give students 1 year to find a job in their field of study. If they can’t find one, send them back and learn skills and then that’s their only back to Canada. \n5) if they do make it to immigration, we need a better system than just a simple memorization test - have them demonstrate their command of the English language, look at their value added and potential for the future. \n6) Conservatives need to be a part of the solution. A lot of the comments are just complaints and complaining will get these folks voting red vs voting blue each and every time. That guy commenting about no temples in Timmins will just push these people to the liberals and this is what JT is counting on. We need to show these folks what being Canadian is about so that they leave Brampton and assimilate. I’ve introduced countless folks to Pierre and have changed their outlooks, y’all need to do the same. I was born and raised in Canada and in my 60’s now. I can’t afford to live here anymore, healthcare has declined, personal safety, fuel costs, insurance etc. most of all our politics are a mess on all three major parties. The Liberals are a royal mess and inflation went through the roof. They’re just running around like the 3 blind mice making fools of themselves. The Conservatives are involving themselves in a right wing romance with fascist trumpianism and think poutine is an ok guy. The hate speech is unreal. We used to be a real chill country. I have young 20 somethings telling me they think Communism is a great idea and they would rather fight for poutine if a war breaks out. Well it’s their future not mine. The AI, bots and trolls on the internet are telling them what they want to hear in order to stir up hate and entitlement. The NDP (New Democratic Party) is neither here nor there, they’re kind of always the minority and swing both the other two parties to divide the vote and gain some form of temporary power. \nI’d like to see a politician that has the balls to stand up to the dictators of this world that shit disturb in every continent because they are such little insecure bastards that they think they can conquer it. I’ve got news for them. Every single dictator in history has failed… miserably and often brutally. We need the kind of leadership in our Country that can produce good governance. Our GDP is just under $60K. The dictators out there are rubbing their greedy little hands, for if there is ever a 3rd world war, Canada will be the prize. We are loaded with resources. Land mass, water, minerals, oil and gas, technology, geographic strategic stronghold etc. Don’t let it slip into the hands of fascists, communists, dictators or totalitarians they always make it worse so that it takes a lifetime to recover. I’ve spent 40 yrs in the workforce, and listened to countless people from every continent who told me the truth about why they left their homeland. People who survived WW2, the Korean War, Vietnam War, communist China, expansionism of the USSR, the caste system and political persecution in India and Bangladesh. Political unrest in Argentina and Chile. I have personally witnessed systemic racism in the USA and Canada. \nI don’t have anything tying me down to stay here so I will be moving on. Trudeau and the Liberals have made so many major mistakes. It is time for a major change in Canada. A number of changes need to be made. Including putting a cap on all immigration, until everything can be balanced again. Along with eliminating our carbon tax. All of these choices are making things unsustainable within our economy, and higher inflation for everyone. Our current administration is out of control. This interview completely misses the point by interviewing the “wrong” immigrant. Immigrants to Canada leave for the U.S. because Canada prefers “high value” immigrants (e.g., physicians, engineers, scientists, entrepreneurs with excellent track records, occupations that are expensive to train and/or individually contribute a lot to the GDP) that the U.S. would also like to attract. Not only can many of these people make more money in the U.S., but they often encounter more help and/or less restrictions with professional licenses (e.g., most states have an industrial exemption for engineers, and do a better job at helping foreign doctors and nurses get their licenses to practice medicine). How many times have we heard of a foreign professional reduced to driving a taxi or becoming a housewife when they move to Canada because an immigration official didn’t properly inform the immigrant of the hoops they would have to jump through, and the provincial professional association offered minimal, if any, assistance? \n\nThis PhD student (and others with more academic than lucrative educations) may think he’ll have it made moving to the US but I think he overestimates his value. The small liberal arts colleges that may have hired someone with his background are decreasing in number or changing to a more technical focus (usually to computer science because it doesn’t require expensive labs needed in medicine or engineering). American students are now more critically examining what degrees, if any at all, will lead to better paying careers, and I doubt Myanmar is on their radar as a money-making opportunity.

Most people are not saying no to immigration. We do need some level of immigration. \n\nHowever, we need to slow way down to catch up and make up for the massive immigration of the past 6 to 8 years. Bringing more and more people, when we don't have the infrastructure or the economy to support them, is doing no one a favor (except big companies and landlords). Immigrants come here with the promise of a better life but end up stuck paying 2700$ per month for a closet in Toronto, working three jobs and 55 hours a week where they make 3400$ a month. The housing situation is the worst it has ever been. Rates are high, average cost of house in Canada is now above 750k CAD while the average salary is around 54k. Those are not sustainable figures. We cannot keep accepting 500k people a year, with hundreds of thousands of international students on top of it. \n\nI'm sorry if it ruffles the feathers of some liberal thinkers, CEOs, big slumlords and university boards but this is not a sustainable model. We've been going down in standards of living, despite paying heavy taxes. Something needs to change.

Immigration (especially the student visa back door) has become a lucrative business for a few people (colleges, ESL schools, universities, construction companies, realtors, etc) without thinking about the impact on all the most basic needs for Canadians. There have been record numbers of immigrants, but where are the record numbers in new housing, new hospitals, new nurses, new doctors, etc? Obviously, this is a good business for construction companies and realtors because they can maintain high prices forever and keep making money on the Canadian dream. It is time for the Canadian government, whether liberal or conservative, to stop this nonsense until the coverage of the basic needs of Canadians are covered.

well said. If you do not like the culture and values of a place, no hard feelings, if you can afford to leave, you should indeed live in a place that makes you happy. The western liberal democracy provides everything with freedom of choice and that is not something that many orthodox muslim families want - they not only want Islamic values and lifestyle, they want others around them to live these too. This is incompatible and it is excellent that this family is choosing to be where they will truly be happy. this needs courage and conviction. Let’s not circle the obvious here. These are the major problems in Canada that are greatly amplified and visible in the bigger metro areas:\n\n- Loss of economic opportunity due to the disastrous Liberal government policies of Justin Trudeau, with all the known bad social consequences.\n\n- Out of control immigration. Impossible for a country to absorb that many immigrants in a short period of time to make them productive and pay into the system.\n\n-Rampant and oppressive woke culture. This is changing, but boy is it taking long.\n\n-Canadian complacency and self-imposed politeness. The worst traits we have as a country. Why do people still keep coming to Canada? Because it's even worse where they come from. Unfortunately, even countries in Europe are in trouble. Have a look at France and Germany. Germany is in debt and in recession; all Latin EU countries are in debt up to their eyeballs, facing bankruptcy thanks to free spending liberal governments. As for Developing Countries, their GDPs are not enough to deal with their populations reaching working age. Their growth is too slow, so opportunities abroad look attractive. And, if immigrants move onward to the USA, that is the natural flow Canadian immigration has had for decades. The Can. government will need to become heavily involved in creating affordable, high density housing, cut red tape, and make education cheaper if they want to retain migrants.

No wonder everything is getting so expensive and housing and rent is going through the roof. almost 1/2 million new residents a year? Where is all the infrastructure and housing for that coming from? The gov needs to put the brakes on immigration and lets things stabilize for a while jesus. Almost every Liberal policy is like a perfect storm for making this country unaffordable for the average Canadian. \nIf you're going to let people in let it be only in job markets we need like high skilled workers, and especially doctors and nurses. And dear god help those doctors and nurses get appropriately accredited before giving them citizenship. Our system needs people who can work in the system not people who got their degree or diploma in some flyby night school. I see way to many people at my workplace trying to get jobs with fake diplomas or degrees. Those people need to be deported ASAP! They lied to get here and they are lying to employers. As a Canadian here are my views on the problems here:\n1.Government waste/spending\n2. Insane taxes, we literally pay taxes on our tax here. When you add it all up the lower tax brackets after their 15% gst pay about 45% of their income in taxes alone. Provinces like Nova Scotia are disgusting when it comes to the tax they pay. \n3. Easy immigration, we should consider immigrants based on what they can do for Canada, we don't need hundreds of thousands who can't work or refuse to work. It's a strain on the system. The immigration also artificially increases housing costs.\n4.Government corruption, it's part of why the taxes are so high. It's also part of the recent hyperinflation Canada has suffered. Just look up Trudeaus WE charity Scandall or SNC Lavalin Scandal, some even say Trudeau was getting kickbacks from the vaccine which I have yet to see evidence of but I personally believe it. \n5. Politically illiterate voters and propaganda, here in Canada the government likes to keep it's people uninformed and how they do it is through propaganda. The Liberals have every major news source in Canada in their pocket and in order for you to get news that isn't influenced by them you have to specifically search for them by name, those include Rebel News, TFI Global, and True North. Almost everything else is incredibly biased, they selectively report the news and in many cases outright lie. This causes extreme political illiteracy in it's population.\n6. Housing rules, here in Canada there are some really stupid bylaws like the main floor of your primary dwelling must be 900sqft in some areas, plus building codes prevent cheap construction of homes. You could have a tiny home on piers and it wouldn't cost much but because of our laws and codes it's impossible. You need a proper foundation, footings, building permits, ad in order to get a permit you need to submit blueprints, etc. You can't just buy a prefab building set it on piers and live in it. That'd be too easy, that'd make housing affordable and the government wouldn't like that. \n7. Woke indoctrination centers, The public education system here is all about putting in regular kids and pumping out future Liberal voters. It's a mess.\n8. You can't defend yourself, In Canada you aren't allowed to carry a weapon for self defense. If a criminal breaks into your home you are supposed to do everything you can to escape rather than defend your property. Criminals have more protection under the law than the law abiding citizens. \n9. Low wages, because of immigration wages are low compared to the USA for most jobs in most locations\n10. Thigs cost more in Canada than the USA after taking into consideration currency conversion rates, even things manufactured in Canada\n11. The cold. Nobody likes the cold for the 4-6 months of the year that the higher populated areas of the country have it. The more densely populated areas also tend to be the warmest. \n12. Fascist leaders. It's no secret Justin Trudeau and the Liberals are fascists\n13. Governmental links to the WEF, you'll own nothing and you'll be happy or so their add said. The truth is Canadians can afford less and less under Liberal leadership which is no surprise since Justin Trudeau and Chrystia are supporters of the WEF.

You are bang on with your assessment. I am now retired but spent my entire career in the private manufacturing sector. Because of poor economic policy, I have watched the decline in the manufacturing sector to which I have been screaming about for the last 20 years. You cannot be a service only oriented economy which we clearly are moving toward. The last 8 years have been extremely the worst with the current Liberal government in charge - Canada needs better leadership and Trudeau clearly is incapable of providing it. It's not too late! The structural bones are there, we just need smarter people in the government to provide the right economic stimulus to make it happen.

It's unconscionable that we've invited people to come to Canada without actually following through on the promise we made to them in the first place. Was it all just sloganeering designed to appeal to liberal progressive NIMBYers? Was there ever any intent on actually doing something for these poor people beyond a sound bite or photo op? \n\nThe solution to migration because of war, terror, famine and so on is not by opening up the borders and allowing everyone in, the solution to mass migrations (over 100 million worldwide) is to tackle the conditions that make such migrations necessary. Almost without exception, each one of these migrant/refugee situations are the result of political problems that have to be tackled in those countries where the conditions exist. There are over 100 million people fleeing conditions that make life unbearable, even if we wanted to, how are we to take them all into North America? How does anyone propose we do that, and even if we could manage it somehow, another 100 million would show up on our doorstep next year...or next week...it's simply not possible or reasonable to expect us to be overwhelmed by wave after wave of the poor unfortunate. The solutions to war and famine abroad can't be found here and we need to make it plain that people who live in such conditions must first rise up to help themselves. We can and should help, politically, through foreign aid and individual donations (North Americans are among the most generous donators after all), and even militarily where feasible or possible. The UN and other coalitions of nations, must each take up the burdens before people smugglers take it up for them. We have our own problems to deal with here and I'm not willing to vote for promises made that were never meant to be kept.

Has there ever been an honest debate on the subject? If the premise that country of 38 milion people does not have enough people was true, countries like Austria, Switzerland, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Singapore, Oman, Kuwait all with less than 10 milion people some less than 5 should have been basket cases. But comparing those countries and Canada when it comes to standard of living the latter looks like basket case. Terribly functioning health care, high unemployment, people living on the streets and now shortages of certain food items in stores. Not to mention the housing market where it is impossible for working people to buy a place because it was left to the speculators from abroad. To make it clear, I am not against immigration, but sanity has to return in place of ideological madness and vote buying.

Canada wants and needs people like that family who are here only to make a decent living and do not want to make trouble for us canadians...we are not racists but we don't like the muslims because they keep asking for special favors that are denied for us canadians and that is getting on the nerves of the population and Trudeau is the one responsible for this because he's the one who invited them over and now we are stuck with them because they are making trouble for us like they do all over the other countries who greeted them!!!But we intend to correct the situation by voting Trudeau and his liberals OUT and start cleaning up our country so it's livable again!

We need info how 2 move permanently 2 US since Canada is no longer livable.taxes and property prices is simply unbelievable. LiberAls collect taxes and spend it on ISIS & refugees families here. We hardly make 4k per month while my neighbor refugees from ISIS gets 12k per month from Canadian government that's 144k per year. I was blown away when i heard it. As someone who is more liberal minded, I don't agree with illegal immigration (I'm also pretty fiscally conservative). I'm open to the idea of healthcare for all, I'm open to legalized pot (even though I hate pot), I don't agree with most wars, and I don't give a rats ass who someone marries or who makes your cake. But all those things are for CITIZENS. That CITIZENS should have. Not someone who comes here just because they think everything is free, don't need to learn English and probably not pay taxes. This is supporting something illegal. I wish democrats could stick up for this country, rather than certain demographics. I believe we would never lose again if they could do that. This is the reason healthcare for all cannot be talked about right now. We have people thinking they can come here and do nothing with how things are now. Imagine if healthcare was free.

As a proud atheist, I find all religious costumes to be either degrading, or just plain hilarious. \nTheir minds are poisoned from the time they are born, and that's child abuse. \nWe should be asking why we are allowing so much immigration. The answer - families don't have as many kids. Why? Kids are expensive, and when your giving over half your salary to the government, having no kids may be your best option financially. So the government responds by keeping taxes high, and making up for smaller family sizes by recruiting immigrants from the Philippines, Nigeria, Sudan, etc.. The handful from Syria get all the attention, but they are a small fraction of the total. \nSo either start having more babies, or start preparing for the multicultural mosaic where the liberal values that made this country great will need to be protected, and I would say, promoted.

ok so muslims say they should be able to wear what they want so their women cover up. but then when you ask them about western women they say they should cover up and SHOULD NOT be able to dress the way they do. liberals who think they are being so free and open minded need to open their eyes to the religion they are trying to defend. muslims routinely abuse the freedoms that are afforded to them while living in a democratic society that hypocrisy becomes second nature to them. the women that was interviewed says we get dressed up put on fancy clothes and make up with other women, even though to do that is haram in islam and is only meant to attract men. ignorance and regression will lead to the downfall of every western country. it is simply a fact and somehow it always comes off as fear mongering when it is said, no religion should ever have a right over any society. if there was a religion where it was ok to behead people who dont believe in that religion would it be ok for people to believe it, oh wait ISLAM.
