If I remember right canada first house crises was in the 19’s something and back then they started making more houses to resolved this problem………………..,… And I am thinking that getting immigrants from only 1 country might not be good, because of countries, society mentality…………. One Example ; a-lot people in the USA are strong guns advocate, if Canada only get people from the US and because the majority of Americans love their guns, they may advocate to have more guns freedom in Canada and teach their children guns loving mentality. So it is probably best to mix individual from various country to minimize this outcome. ………………. In any case immigration are very important for countries whom don’t make a lot of babies, to survive and stay strong in today’s world where weak countries are getting crushed by strong countries……………… what make countries strong is their population, where government take taxes to pay and buy defensive guns to defend a country without the need to go into dept and sell its soul to powerful countries. I did not go to any university and yet I was able to understand this …

Apply for US citizenship, it will take a little while for the paperwork to go through but eventually it will. Anybody with half a brain and a good attitude can earn a six figure income and keep 80% of it as take home pay after tax (graduated tax brackets and standard deduction averages your rate much lower). Add in our investment options and minimal tax on that and you'll realize paying for medical insurance and your own retirement is not a big deal in fact you end up with a lot more money doing it this way vs big government.

It affects not only what US experiences right now with Canada and Mexico. Be sure that even Taiwan Australia and all other Asian allies are questioning right now if USA can be trusted. Imagine, Trumps breaks a treaty with Canada and Mexico which he personally has established in his first presidency and sold to his people as the greatest deal that has ever been archieved. Tells you a lot about US credebility. Trump is right now destroing world order which has been established mainly by USA after WW2.\nI heared, that there are rumors, that Trump might be a Russian KGB agent since 1987. I don't know if that is true, but it would explain a lot of why Trump is acting as he does - it is not in the interest of USA, pressurizing/blackmailing/offending/humiliating US allies and destroying US and foreign economies. This is practically enacting a wishlist of foreign dictators like Putin and Xi Chin Ping.\nIt certainly will not make America great again, but poorer, weaker and internationally isolated. it will be US people that will suffer the most.

American here that has extensive relationships in Canada. We don’t want this tariff war but the tariffs being implemented first by the Trump administration on behalf of US were punitive for violating USMCA and tied directly to the border defects. This was made known in advance and you repeated empty promises. Take your medicine and get well fast. Instead of doing that, you are taking an action that will beget reciprocal tariffs. Implement $30B and Trump will add $30B….add another $125B later and Trump will add another $125B. Heads up….America wants good partners and looks forward to being past this as well. In the meantime, we are prepared to pay more (or live with less) as we get back up on our feet. We have a lot of internal healing and cannot carry any other countries right now. Not sure if that was ever a good thing for either of us. Time to heal our broken ways ….sorry if you got used to our last administration being feckless.

i know Trudeau gets a lot of crap from people, but my god this was a hell of a speech. same with Bernie Sanders' speech. i got goosebumps and also trying to fight back tears simultaneously. my ex wife is disabled receiving social security, medicare, and medicaid due to being in a wheelchair and requiring consistent medical care and attention. she receives, and is expected to survive on, $800 a month and $300 in foodstamps. she lives in campgrounds which is 90% cheaper than rent, and still has to budget, struggle and go without a lot to make life work all while being in tremendous pain and reliant on help from others. Trump, Elon, and all the other billionaires in charge are literally trying to make the ones suffering the most to suffer more while making them even richer. its absolutely disgusting how soulless these CEOs are. the world is ashamed of us and frankly if you are American and not ashamed and embarrassed by what these billionaires are doing with our relationship to not only our country but the entire world....then you arent a patriot, you are a cult follower, and you are part of the problem.

There is a lot of talk on Fentanyl headed south, but no mention by Canada of how much of the drug heads north. I can't be zero. There has to be transit of the drug from the USA into Canada.\n\nBut what I truly don't understand, is that what heads south is not crossing through the Canadian border. All south bound traffic needs to go through US Border patrol agents. So by that measure, how is Canada not doing its job? As a Canadian citizen I have always admired the US up until now, I sincerely wanted to move to the US to build homes and start up a company. But now am re-evaluating my decision because if this how the US treats their friends and allies, I really feel sad for their enemies. Why, why, why - with all the problems going on in the world right now to tackle - why would you want to start a trade war with your closest trading partner & most loyal ally? Not to mention that your list of Allies is shrinking daily. This is not going to end well for either of us. \nI just arrived home from a trip to the grocery store - making sure nothing in my cart said “ made in the USA” on it due to the new tariffs that began today. \nThe irony is, many of the states where Trump won by the biggest margin, are the states that are going to get hit the hardest from Canadian retaliation tariffs ( Iowa, Kansas, Nebraska, Indiana, the Dakotas - just to name a few). A lot of farmers in those states are going to be hit extremely hard with the fertilizer tax. After Canada, the next 3 largest Potash producers are Russia, Belarus & China. So , good luck \nWhen the cost of fruit & vegetables skyrocket across the US. Maybe you’ll put a little more thought into your vote 4 years from now.

When I was living in Vancouver, I (and many ppl) would just drive cross the border to get gas and groceries because it's just much cheaper once you're on US soil.... I used to live in a bubble thinking that even though life is tough and it's harding to make a living here but at least it's more peaceful here than the States. I think the US president is making the US economy worse, taxes and prices in the country will increase, and relations with other countries will not be good. All these years US has a trade deficit of 1 trillion dollars every year. With tariffs we could have recovered 250 billion every year. That is a lot of money. I have been all over Canada, and i will say they are polite, kind, funny, great people. I'm from Montana, and we have always had so much in common. Americans ARE NOT in favor of the way our president, vice president, and the figure cloaked in darkness, ARE BEHAVING. PLEASE KNOW, not all Americans are in favor of our governmental policies, and some of us, quite frankly, are afraid. A lot of the American people are still the same. We want to send aid to Ukraine, we want to have a government that does its job, and we want to be friends with those on our borders. We're still here. We're not all like those on Pennsylvania Avenue.

Watch ABC Australia’s three part Four Corners Documentary exposing both Trump’s comprehensive and long-standing links with Russia and their cyber-espionage during the elections in the US. Also explains Trump seeking unwarranted control over all levels of law and its’ enforcement. He probably didn’t win this recent election either as the Russians have clearly done a deal with him to put him into power. He is now an (un)official Russian operative and things Putin won’t betray him….but Putin is younger and far better at removing obstacles that stand in his way. Trump may have a convenient heart attack once he’s served his purpose.

Hey Canada/Trudeau if you don’t want the tariffs from President Trump then remove your limiting factors on American goods to equal the playing field! Maybe these tariffs and our President may finally get you to allow into Canada as much as we do into the USA! Trying to play a game of tariff against President Trump will not do Canadians any good. This is part of the reason you won’t be the tyrant dictator you once enjoyed being. Yall are sheep. \nEvery country needs imports. But America relies on so many other countries to keep itself going is more than unhealthy. If China and the US went to war, yes, China would suffer. But look around your house, I bet most of it says - Made In China. I'm just going to clarify something remember when they said Trump had allies with Russia now you see what the Democrats were talking about. Trump always blames democrats for his faults. Trump had you guys convinced not to vote for Democrat.
