I went to Niagara Falls with my family in 2020 and because of Covid not a lot of people where there... It was the *reopening* of Clifton Hill and the Hornblower attraction... As we where going to board the Sky Wheel there was a huge stench of weed in the air.... I have been around weed a lot but nothing compared to this... A big group of Indians where sitting in a circle and passing blunts to each other. It felt like a free for all do what the F*** you like. Great start. 64% decrease in foreign students is a huge cut and definitely needed. Middle class tax cut is a step in the right direction and the $10 NSF fee is actually a huge underrated change. I’ll admit I’ve been in the situation where I forgot which day my bill is coming out and didn’t have my bank account prepared accordingly. Getting slapped with $50+ NSF fees just made it even worse. Nice to see a cap on that now as I felt like companies were abusing it.

this is a 180 from the past 5 years, however, it is a false promise. once the immigration cuts are out of recent memory of the voter base, restaurants begin to need customers (11,000 shuttered in 2 years), colleges get surplus nostalgia, and landlords demand their inflated rental income (see economic rent), the government will ramp the numbers up again.

If you double immigration, then increase it every year for 4 years, cutting it back by 10% isnt making a defference.... if we had stayed on a reasonable growth scale instead of doubling immigration in 2021, then we would be letting in about 60% of the current target
