I actually worked at Tim Hortons(I'm a white guy), and there were literally so many Indians that they'd order each other around in Hindi. They'd only speak English to me and the customers. I had a shift coordinator in fact who would reflexively give me orders in Hindi, and would get a little ticked off and repeat it in Hindi, and then when it clicked that I'm the only non-Hindi speaker there, he'd give 1 word orders like "Garbage" or "Sinks". The owner of the Tim Hortons also said that if I was a little slow or needed extra training, they wouldn't fire me because they don't like to keep rotating workers around, and instead would rather just retrain them. I was a tad bit slow(only because I was precise and not violating health and safety standards), and they fired me in like 10 seconds. Like my second monthly review, I was fired. I have a feeling it largely had to do with the fact that I was not Indian and didn't speak Hindi, so therefore the shift coordinators had less tolerance for me.

This is the system: Student immigrates to Canada on a student Visa, gets a Diploma which they use to get a Post-Graduation Work Permit, this is used to get Permanent Residence (PR). After 3 years apply for Citizenship, which makes it easier to bring their parents into Canada. Those parents apply for PR, then wait 3 years, after which they can also apply for Citizenship. If they are 55+ years old, they don't need to take the test or prove they can speak the English. They just apply and get become Citizens. All of this while enjoying the benefits of a Socialized Healthcare, Old Age Pension after 65+, Canada Child Benefit paid to parents with kids under 18, and more. This is not a sustainable economic model, we WILL run out of money. Technically we already have 😂

I’m a proud Indian who is now a Canadian citizen, and I’ve made a conscious effort to assimilate into Canadian culture and values. What bothers me is how this conversation has been reduced to blaming one group. The reality is that the Canadian government failed first by not properly managing immigration volumes, not enforcing document verification, and not honestly assessing whether the country could support such rapid population growth. That policy failure created pressure on housing, jobs, and social systems long before resentment followed. We also need honesty within the Indian community. Some Indians struggle to adapt being overly loud, culturally rigid, and sometimes lacking empathy for Canadian norms and shared public spaces. I studied Canadian and Indigenous history in school, and respecting that history matters. Assimilation doesn’t mean abandoning your culture, but it does mean understanding and respecting the society you chose to join. Cultural education should be expected, not optional. That said, one Indian doing something wrong does not make all Indians bad. Most Indian students and workers I know are hardworking, punctual, and serious about contributing. I’ve personally worked minimum-wage jobs for years, and what I noticed was not jobs being “taken,” but fewer Canadian youth willing to stay in or commit to these roles long-term. Indians didn’t replace Canadians, they filled vacancies that already existed. I also briefly volunteered helping the homeless, and what I saw was honestly shocking. It’s not that the government isn’t trying to help there are rehabilitation programs and support systems in place. The difficult truth is that a significant portion of the homeless population struggles with substance abuse and refuses treatment because it requires giving up drugs. Over time, homelessness itself starts to function like a culture, where benefits and assistance unintentionally enable continued substance use rather than recovery. This is an uncomfortable reality people don’t like to talk about. None of this is simple. Immigration didn’t break Canada, and neither did one community. Poor policy, weak enforcement, lack of accountability, and refusal from governments and individuals to adapt responsibly is what brought us here. Blame is easy. Honest solutions are not.

At this point, I'm over every culture. We have been conditioned in the West to think that we have no culture, we need to embrace, worship, and accept everyone else's culture. Really over it. We have built a beautiful way of life in the western world and we should work harder to preserve it. I've been to India. Although I like most Indians that come to our part of the world, WE DO NOT WANT OUR COUNTRY TURNING INTO INDIA (or any other country/culture for that matter). Assimilate, get with the program, or GTFO. Enough is enough. Americans, Canadians, Europeans..stand up for your country and culture before it is completely erased. If we decided to move to any of these third world countries and pull the same crap, locals would be up in arms.

None of the youth can get their 1st job and start working for thw first time because all new begginer entry lvl jobs are taken by all the east indians and other foriegm worker bs. It all boils down to how the Indians are raised in their own country. They are raised with the individual mentality. Do for yourself, and to hell with the others. Leave it for someone else to take care of. This is why their country is one of the dirtiest in all the world. They use the streets as a garbage can or toilet, then just leave it for someone else to clean it up. But, when everyone is raised with this attitude, there's no one left to clean it up. In India, they have the "untouchables". Yes, the caste system is still operating in India, although it's not recognized by the government. It's the untouchables that are supposed to clean up all the trash and feces off the streets, but they never do. They don't get paid to do it. This is why their trash clean up is so poor as far as having trucks go around and pick it up to take to a landfill. There are very few untouchables and the other people won't work for the trash pick up companies, because they feel it's beneath them. So, they trash their country and instead of cleaning it up, they move to another country to trash it. My brother used to be a truck driver for many years. Every time he saw a truck rolled over on it's side, he'd say "Must have been an Indian", because every rolled over truck he ever saw was driven by someone from India. If you look at videos of the traffic in India, you will see lot of trucks rolled over, and you'll see no one pay attention to stop lights, stop signs and everyone just cuts off everyone. This is the individual idea. I have to get somewhere, so I will cut you off to get there. It's always "Me, me, me". This attitude causes so many wrecks. Westerners have a hard time driving in India because we are all raised with everyone in mind, not just ourselves. We are a community, not an individual. We need to put a big wall around India and stop all airplanes going in and out, so they don't spread their diseased ideals of life and end up ruining another country. Do you know why India doesn't really take military training very seriously? Because no other country wants to invade and have to deal with the clean up. At this point, it's just about impossible to ever clean that country up.

Break down from a Canadian who moved to the US. Basically, Indians moved to Brampton because it was a cheaper area, yet close enough to Toronto. Immigrants drove taxi or drove truck usually were paid in cash, leading to tax evaluation. So they were able to save more... They were able to buy a bigger house for cheaper basically. New immigrants move to Brampton probably cause it easier. They don't need to assimilate as much as they sued to. They can speak their own language, not have to learn another, etc. You can actually see certain immigrant groups take to certain cities for the reasons above. Vaughn is Italian, Etobicoke was multi cultural, now Somalian(last I visited), sauga is Arab, etc The universities are a big scam, and the govt is part of it. They don't care cause they get money.... People create these fake colleges and bring in students. Students have "online" classes and so they don't actually go in . In Canada ur allowed to work 20 hours as a student, but all work more under the table. And yes. As a Punjabi, there is too many Indians. It was too many when I left. Let me tell you this as a legal Indian immigrant that came here 13 years ago with my whole family. There was a balance of immigration coming in from every country which was amazing until they opened the gates to India like it’s another bus stop away from India. Since then there have been so many illiterate people that fraudulently came here and keep trying to make Canada like back home which needs to stop. The reputation of Indian people which used to be hard working and family people is getting ruined by people that come here to give back nothing to Canadian economy. Major reason for so much immigration of Indians is because here in india to get a well paying job and a well settled life you need to be educated and skilled. Whereas in countrys such as canada it is more easy to have a good living with less efforts and less education. Therefore they prefer moving out of country than working hard in there own country. And in the case of Brampton they saw an opportunity and demand for businesses and workforce so they grabbed there opportunity. Because at that time there was not much going on in Brampton when indians started immigrating . So you can say indians are the reason Brampton has grown gradually. But i do think now it is too crowded and people haven't stopped coming. Now there are no requirements as such. So that is why more useless indians are moving in canada nowadays.

I'd honestly prefer Indians over Middle Easterners. Hindus and Sikhs aren't proselytizers and generally have a much more mellow religious vibe, unlike Muslims. Plus, Indian food is the shit, I dig curry and samosas. The thing you really have to be careful of, as is the situation with any instance of mass migration, is to be aware if newcomers are taking advantage of Western social assistance programs, like the Somalis have done with the welfare system. They need to understand that to be welcomed as new Americans, they have to work. Indians have proven to be industrious through hotels and convenience shops. I'd prefer them to Middle Easterners or certain cultures of Africans. That all being said, they should also come to understand that, having moved to a modern country, there's very little point in having massive families with ten kids. No need to endlessly spawn more people to help with chores like water fetching when you have indoor plumbing. It's an unfortunate trend a lot of migrants have trouble getting over, the endless breeding that makes locals anxious that they'll become a minority in their own country in just a few generations.

For example, Trudeau allowed visas to allow people to work for minimum wage jobs in Canada or jobs with no trade skills., and even if skilled workers were invited, their jobs are not in high demand or about to be replaced by AI in a couple of years. Every year over 100,000 jobs will be replaced by AI starting from the late 2026, starting from the transportation industry, customer services, office jobs, IT jobs, and education; soon healthcare and engineering as well. No developed country needs workers anymore except very few experts and there will be massive layoff, not because of the economic crisis, but because of AI. In Japan, China, and South Korea, AI are widely used and now young people with a master or PhD degree can't even get a job.

If a 3000 sq ft home has 3 generations living then that would easily be anywhere from 5-12 people depending on the number of children or sibling the earning member(s) have. As an American, I am ignorant about Canada and its immigration policy, and so wonder how much stated in this video are lies due to racism, and how much is true? For example, the Indians who come to the US are vetted, are educated, and work hard. Since the 90s, most of the Indians who come to the US are not Punjabi Sikhs, nor are they Muslim. Punjabis came earlier, but since the tech boom, most who come are Hindus usually from Southern India. About 20% are also Christian. These Hindu and Christian Indians from Southern India are model minorities. Think of these kids who do well in the Spelling Bee. No crime, no trash, just educated hard working folks. Especially here where I am in San Jose, CA. So are these Canadians lying, or are the type of Indians who go to Canada worse? Not sure why this isn’t country wide. I came to Canada as a legal immigrant 40 years ago worked and paid taxes my whole life. There is a clear lie in that video. Nobody is in Limbo. Mind you there is normal Federal Express entry program still happening. Meaning, that if you get selected through that program, you can immigrate to any province of your choice - including Quebec. You can also still get bonus points for Canadian education (Quebec education does count) and Canadian work experience (if it qualifies). So the only thing that happened was, that one provincial nomination program was ended, that is all that happened. The practical problem is, that provincial nomination does give so many points, that it is a guarantee of normal express entry pull as long as you just meet criteria to enter Express entry. So provincial nominations are suitable for people that might be otherwise struggling with points (older age, less language perfection, les bonus points from education or work experience). For a disclaimer, provincial programs are based on a specific province needs and just because one was opened when you planned to go and study or work in Canada, it does not mean it will be like that forever. If an agent made you such promise, then he was misleading you. Again for those people demonstrating, nothing has changed for them other than one future option was gone. They still have their student or work permit until it expires. They also can apply into Express entry program as normal. On a side note for Canadian trying to cheer about this, be aware, such change can also mean that economy projection for next few years is not the best. so take it a warning sign. Or if we are lucky, it was found that this program was not bringing intended type of skilled worker or was heavily abused.

I was the lawyer invited to this interview, and after reading some comments celebrating the end of the PEQ, I feel the need to clarify a few things. The people affected by this are not “abusing the system.” this was the program for people that came here legally and are working. To qualify for the PEQ, they had to be working full time, they pay taxes, they speak the language. They’re fixing our roads, keeping hospitals running, welding, machining, doing the jobs most of us take for granted every single day. The hard truth is that Canadians have stopped having enough children, and we simply don’t have enough young people with the skills to fill these roles. Yes, we absolutely should invest more in education and trade programs for our youth — my employer clients are begging young people to become mechanics, welders, skilled workers, often in the regions. Most don’t take those jobs, and even when they do, training takes two to three years. Our industries need people now, or parts of the economy will stall, and that affects all of us as Quebecers and Canadians. These workers are not asking for charity. They are already on the front lines keeping key sectors alive. Ending programs like the PEQ doesn’t punish “illegals” or “free riders”; it punishes people who are already integrated, working, and contributing to the society we all share. Also, all they are asking is for the new rules to not be applied to them retroactively, only for those coming new into the country, otherwise it is rug pulling those already here that played by the rules, and when the government does it to us we don't like, on principle of fairness, whatever you think of the numbers, too high too low, doesn't matters, it is the least we can all get behind as humans.

Exploitation of Systems and Loopholes Many arrive through fraudulent means and demand instant benefits: Establishing "diploma mill" colleges solely to gain entry, then claiming permanent residency or citizenship after minimal study. Only Indians teachers are hired through this made up "Colleges". Sponsoring extended family chains (parents, siblings, cousins) who contribute nothing but drain resources. Elderly parents, who have never paid Canadian taxes, access healthcare and social services immediately, overburdening hospitals while their families use nursing homes as a last resort. There are always two sides of the story. I have worked with Canadians in their 60s vs 20s, there was a huge difference in work ethic. My white manager relied on me and my another friend for closing or opening shift than some local preveliged kids. I am in support of deporting illegals but let's educate who are here legally. Collaborate with communities to voice out your concerns and look at the positive impact immigrants have made in past decades.

So many pros and cons; a farming community of 18K and now a booming metropolis, is that a bad thing?
