We shouldn’t be preparing for an influx we need to prepare to close our borders. No more asylum seekers into Canada. As a Democrat I guess I’m more middle on this issue. We damn sure shouldn’t be giving away millions to immigrants that come here illegally and have to be placed in make shift homes and millions on keeping them in expensive hotels in New York or any hotels for that matter. But we are part of that problem putting back breaking sanctions on their countries. And if we stopped the sanctions they’d probably be able to have jobs where they were. And not cause massive immigration.

This is a reaction to the potential loss of their student visas, not some jumping the queue scheme. The changes in the student visa system has created this temporary panic. A student who is in second or third year has already spent a lot of money to get an education and then lose that money and not have a degree. The years and money would be lost, then they would have to go through the process again in other country has caused this. Many of these student will remain as students and get their degrees and go home as they have in the past. Our university have had foreign students forever and it has worked. I too am an immigrant, but I feel like the country is being overtaken by India. There's nothing wrong with immigration if controlled properly, bud sadly this is not the case with the Canadian government, and it is getting out of control. I live in a beach town in Ontario that up until last year was a nice place to live. Now when you go to the beach it is 90% Indians, and they are buying up all the businesses to cater to their own kind and if you aren't Indian, you stand out like a sore thumb!. Sadly, having lived in Brampton since the late 60s, I have seen it happen and I feel that it is becoming another Brampton! I have a relative that lives in Brampton and is very experienced in the medical field, but cannot get a job because they don't speek Hindi. Come on people! If you can't speak english you shouldn't be allowed into the country!

Shame on the Canadian government! :(( That Mexicans don't need a visa to enter Canada is outrageous and it shouldn't be. Throughout the years it is been very difficult to get a visa to visit canada and also to migrate there legally. Even many family members of new Canadians have gotten their tourist visas to come to Canada denied over and over again. But now is just a disproportionated disaster. Just like the current federal and many local governments in the US, in Canada Trudeau is and has been destroying the country in so many ways for the last 9 years!!

Just after reading comments from some Germans here, it really feels like that racism, chauvinism and zero-sum thinking are just a part of their mentality. They come as international students, a condition for international studies in Canada (and most of the West) is to be able to afford your studies plus upkeep for the duration of study. However they start complaining about work and visiting food banks immediately they enter the country...moreover shouldn't graduates be going home and support the growth of their country.

It is a very important thing to note that despite Canada being the second largest country in the world by landmass, the vast majority of the population lives 100km from the American border because the vast majority of the land has no infrastructure to have large scale habitation. Outside of the prairies and the st Lawrence valley, there is precious little farmland to sustain people. So we import a huge percentage of our food which can also attribute to rising costs (not the only factor but it doesn’t help). Geographically, this country can’t comfortably hold more than 36 million people. Our population really shouldn’t grow beyond that unless we have infrastructure to house and feed people, which we barely do for the people that live here let alone the folks coming in. I feel like people want to make it a race issue, but that’s misguided. Canada is not America. We can’t fill our country top to bottom with people it’s logistically too difficult. We literally don’t have the resources to grow beyond that roughly 36 million cap

Every business aims the Indian market. Same goes for the Canadian diplomas. At the first place it was the white people representing the so called Canadian Colleges who manipulated the Indian students to come to their place and have a future. They shouldn’t have done this. If the people who had been following the western life in India came here, things wouldn’t have been like this. They would’ve adopted the Canadian culture and moved on. But your government and agencies were greedy, wanted money, looted all the innocent people who hadn’t had any idea what living in North America would be and had them come here.
