I'm pretty much exactly where that lady in the car is at. Enough to make rent, pay my monthly cell phone bill, and internet, but the rest? Not enough for food, no emergency funds if something breaks or needs replacing, etc. Can't even save and put money away. I sat down and balanced my budget, looking at what I could keep or toss. Figured out what to do for cheapening food costs as much as I could (without doing food bank), and the most I can afford for rent is $700 a month. That's basically a room in someone's house. That's it. As an Adult, I'm disgusted it's come to this. But what angers me MOST of all, is the Landlord's I gotta argue with. Surrey, BC used to be the cheap end of Vancouver. The welfare type housing, and low-income area. Then we had this huge book of Middle Eastern people come flying in at top speed, steam roll the community and make it theirs. They bought up all the cheap housing, ripped it down even though it was not that bad of a house, then built these custom 5-6 room mini mansions. The standards for the area skyrocketed, and the cost of their mortgage is likely also sky high because of what they built... So what do they do? Rent the rooms, force people 2 to a room with no privacy, and if you WANT a private room? Nearly $1000. Oh... And let's not forget the discrimination issues. If you're not going to temple or Gudwara, forget it. If you aren't pure vegetarian, forget it. And because all the other renters are "brown" and under 30yrs old, Adults are considered unwelcome. If you have a disability and don't work, you're automatically labelled a drug user (which isn't always truth). Even if you offer proof of income, and resources or phone numbers to call, they won't bother. Too much work. This sh*t needs to stop. I look in other cities near by, and it's happening in ALL OF THEM. I cant even relocate to get away from this crap. I'm done. I have no car to live out of, so that's not an option. I'm not a drug user, never will be but and all the shelters are now "low barrier". Screw that. So now what? Go back to work with a broken lower back?? Desk job search when I should be recovering and resting? Like, the suggestions are welcome, but be realistic. I'm in constant pain on heavy duty drugs to get by right now. No spouce. No parents or friends to leech off of. I feel utterly abandoned by our government.

So Trudeau acting tough is hilarious. Like a chihuahua barking at a grisly bear. If push came to shove, in the time of US war need, the US would simply take whatever it wanted from Canada. That's what happens when you don't develop your own substantial military-just like Europe now.

You know I’ve been killing myself working non stop for like a decade trying to hold it all together because of all the increased prices of everything. As a result I have not been paying attention. We know why HE is doing this. He is pushing an imperialistic agenda, so he can be like those he admires. However we will continue on that course and we will continue to fail. When a country is divided like we are , everything we do will result in failures to help our society and communities. We are essentially causing the unraveling of our safety, security and way of life. Why is it that everyone outside of America has an expectation on how we should be that benefits them. This can has been kicked down the road for multiple decades. The waste, fraud, and abuse we are uncovering in the government. The situation with NATO and Ukraine and no one can fix their problems or issues without the US. We have aggressive homelessness, poverty, poor education system, high taxes, and a government that in the past has done nothing but pimp our tax dollars out just for kickbacks. I hope Ecuador deports all the Americans living there! My city along has over 5,000 American citizens and some been charge in the USA (pedophiles ?) this problem is not happening only to you guys your people also come out countries.

You can thank your wonderful Justin for this. Ontario keeps voting Liberal, and the immigrants vote Liberal. But it’s also happening in the major cities in Conservative provinces like Alberta. Lots of immigrants been landing on the cities and they’re voting in liberal city councils - who love spending money and increasing property taxes to pay for ridiculous initiatives “to attract more immigrants” !!!!!!

Yeah, these people will contribute to society and be law abiding alright. If they can’t even behave civilly and respectfully on Day 1, what do you think is going to happen after illegal entry? \n\nBeing desperate doesn’t give you the right to violate laws and be disruptive and combative. I’d expect this from a five year old, but there are also consequences and remedies that normally go along with that behavior.

If you believe in the God of Israel that land was given to the Israelites by God allowing them to go and inherit it because those people were worshiping false gods, but since Israel also fell into idolatry and at times didn’t trust in God , God handed them over to enemies , as a Christian we know what will happen in the future because the Bible tells us that although Israel is in disobedience, God still has promises for the Jews.

Something I've been thinking about. Trump keeps deporting people back to Canada and Mexico, but he also wants to make Canada a part of America (not sure if he wants to do the same with Mexico). How is he going to keep the people he wants to keep out if they become part of the country? What happens to the border and those people?

These hotel owners who have been getting rich off housing migrants in they're places..... how much are they gonna end up spending repairing the rooms that migrants trashed? I can only assume that these people have been smoking cigarettes and having drunk parties just destroying the places but the hotel owners were making $$$$$$$$ off the government so they were letting it happen. Also, are these hotels going to have to pay the federal government any of the money they made off this?

I don’t know if people realize that there is a bunch of factories in Canada near the border that make fentanyl. Trump has more information on what is happening in the US Canada border. 25 % tariffs is far to low not only is Canada letting a bunch of illegal people come in and cost us taxpayers some serious money but they are also making the fentanyl problem far to big.
