This is really a long conversation about this topic.A new way of thinking in how we are feeding our selfs in house, not by import and export most of the time.. We can not have balance and still do things the old way. The old way is going to fall sooner or later. The more we understand that and adjust, the better we will do in each of our countries.

As a Brazilian, i don't know why Canadians are still trying tho deal with America. It's clearly not a democratic government. Brazil and Canada has dealt for so long, it's time to increase this. Brazil is part of BRICS countries, but it doesn't mean it's not democrat. Why Canadians keep thinking about EU and EUA? So many things have happened and Brazil is now a strong partner. He pardoned violent offenders and called them patriotic, spouts false information, obstructs investigations, has numerous felony charges against him and has now made enemies with our allies. Shall I go on? That's not Christian. Even if you aren't Christian...that's not what America stands for. All for what...eggs? Guns? Cheaper groceries? Or because your need for hating a small group of people out weighs global peace. Or is it because you are so short sighted that you can't even see the valuable contribution that non American born people provide this country. Yes, Biden fell asleep at the wheel. Yet many of you still believed the better choice was a psychopath. This election was important. We failed as a country by putting this man in office. No matter what party you align with, we failed. Yes, I want cheaper eggs. Yes, I really need cheaper groceries. But not over the safety of the globe. Not over the lives of the people and children being killed in an unprovoked war. Not over the safety of Europe. Not over ripping off our closest and favorite country that borders us. Not over losing our democracy and our allies. As a Canadian I’m still not clear on how counter tariffs help Canadians? Won’t this just make things more expensive for us? Shouldn’t we just realign our allies for imports/exports? Can someone help me out here? Don’t tell me it’s just because we need to respond in kind so not to be ‘bullied’. You’ll need to do better than that. You mention that Americans are 30% more expensive than Canadians but you dont mention that the US is far more unequal with a Gini coefficient of 0.41 vs 0.35 in Canada. Now there is also a known issue with using GDP data to calculate productivity and that is that in sme countries the labor of GDP is much lower than in others. But throw in safety nets and go ask Canadians if they want to change for the US system. I doubt most will. Five days a week for six weeks.\n\nSo about nine months after that and that healing, I had a referral to a plastic surgeon. She reduced my other breast so that I was even. That was about eight months ago. And this week I had a further reduction, call it a fine-tuning, to further ensure that I was even.\n\nThis was all done in Montreal Quebec Canada. \nI paid zero dollars, except a few times I may have paid six bucks for parking. \n\nI am cancer free. I’ve gone from a double D to a B, which you know is better than dying. I am so happy that I live here.

I live in nyc getting on the bus and subway is horrible seeing these illegal people dress better than working people sending thier money back to thier countries they get more help than those who live here I worked in a homeless shelter caught a horrible parasite infection which I'm still fighting I can't work welfare refused to help me with rent electric they denied me immediate help gave me 71 dollars every 2 weeks in cash and 290 in foodstamps I can't pay electric with that let alone rent phone internet other bills etc meanwhile these people get iPhones new sneakers clothes thousands in cash upon arriving thousands in foodstamps health insurance etc free rent free everything but I can't get help I had a broken ankle they wouldn't even move to let elderly or disabled sit on busses and subway they disrespect the rules workers people in stores I witnessed for myself

Canada border patrol overseers need to do a better job in securing that part of the border on that side. They can stop those buses and check those planes for them coming into the US. They could do it and they could do better job in doing that they don’t want to do it. It’s not a difficult thing to do use their brain a little bit that they probably have that doesn’t make sense. They’re still coming in from Canada. They’re just not affected if they were then they wouldn’t be coming in or sneaking in by buses.

What I DNT like is they send money back to there country and say there country is better but there still here not wanting to pay for anything.

Please stay away from Canada I moved here and I regret it every day. I'm a citizen through my parents and getting my certificate took YEARS which stopped me from being able to go to school or work which means years of my adult life wasted that could have been put to much better use for something that wasn't even my fault. I also lost good opportunities too because of it!!!! Not happy especially since I genuinely needed the money. I won't forgive Canada for that. Also everything here is really expensive and the selection is just not very good. Also work opportunities are not as good as in the US. Anyways I finally got my certificate and got my life started up again just over 2 years ago, but I still often think of returning to the US after just being here for 4.5 years. I now warn some of my US friends not to go to Canada just for the hype if they mention it. I also know of a friend who moved here and left after 1 year, they came to hate it here.
