I became homeless after spending over 2 months in the ICU of a Toronto hospital barely walking in was taken to a Toronto city shelter and for 5 years I've been in 5 different Toronto shelters in what seemed like a blink of a eye every shelter became 80% north African Muslim men ,they were given cash allowances to buy their own food $80 a day plus welfare cheques once a month boosted up with TTC allowance $157 clothing allowances and yes they were all given money to buy laptops and smart phones apparently so they can keep in touch with their families back in Africa, in the last shelter I stayed in there was only 6 white Canadian born homeless people living there and 94 north Africans whom we started to notice were being housed only to have the next one take up their cott space housed yes and when we started looking into how they were getting housed so fast when we were apparently on a 37,000 name waiting list for housing with our housing workers telling us it will take 10 years if we are lucky then we found out about the secret housing program that these fresh off the boat immigrants were getting market value apartments of their choice you pick the government pays one African we befriended ( he wasn't a believer in Islam shush or they'll kill him) got a 1 bedroom condo apartment over looking Toronto's Island airport $2,700 a month and the government payed for all his furnishings, so now we knew and we approached the on site housing workers asking why we weren't told about COHB at first they tried to deny it existed but researching we had all the information first these COHB forms were to be handed out to those with seniority length of stay so as to cut out on abuse being that they are worth over $250,000 after ten years of paying your rent as in free housing for life , then we discovered the staff were making false entries on our files claiming some of us lost our seniority for fighting claiming we were kicked out for 14 days others for smoking violations what they didn't think we knew was on admission to any shelter you sign a agreement that they are videoing you and keeping a file on you that also stated we are allowed to have up to date copies of our files then during the 2 weeks we were supposedly kicked out we asked for the videos from that period once they realized we had a advocate working for us who a l so supplies lawyers to us should we need so they got caught then management called us all up for a meeting and that's when we hit him with a bombshell yes the shelters are staffed with immigrants from the same African countries this Hoard is coming from and we have a sworn statement saying they are charging $10,000 for these guaranteed housing forms yes $10,000 that's what our none Muslim African shelter friend payed for his form and why he's now living free in easily close to a million dollar condo and believe me the cars parked there show it, ok so after we busted them guess what 6 whites who were all born in Canada and have lived a average of 3.5 years in a shelter all got housed in apartments of our choosing mind we did get ours fully furnished by the government like all these illegal Christian hating islamists get free housing free food free clothing free medical free dental free prescription drugs and a free huge monthly welfare cheque Rebel news please contact us we want every Canadian to know what's going on and how we Canadians are being left out, p.s just go to any money transfer business at the end of the month and you'll see line ups of these north Africans wiring money back to their wives and families even boxing up all the mountains of free clothing sending it to Africa same what they're doing with all the prescription drugs they are getting for free everything is about making money taking taking taking not putting anything back , now I sleep soundly no one stealing my belongings no more catching a different cold every week no more being called a filthy infidel which seems to be their favorite word COHB look that up and if your living paycheck to paycheck working 2 jobs just get to a shelter say one with 94 Africans who will all be housed shortly leaving you the most seniority easy peasy but remember to keep a eye on your file for false entries or borrow $10,000 to buy one

Yet to communicate with others in Toronto, apparently Hindi and Punjabi are what is required for economic opportunity . We went to Toronto 2 years ago and it felt like heaven ! I had no idea that Canada was going through hard times (I don’t watch the news !) When I watched the first minutes of your video I was about to tell you « well, same here in France »… but I have to say that the pictures of people on drugs are shocking ! You're better off staying in the U.S. I lived in Canada for years. Now in the States. The Canadian dollar is not nearly as strong as the American dollar. Canada is a law abiding country and no one can fool the system. It offers study visas with a condition of returning back to home after completing the study. But many indian students are cheated by local agents with fake promises of Canadian PR, and now face deportation. It is not the fault of Canada. Already Canadian citizens including its own students suffer a lot from getting a job. Lack of jobs, house, health services increased and at the same time criminal, anti social activities like car theft, sexual abuse of female students, traffic violations, and links with anti social elements linked with international students. Brampton becomes the number one crime area in Toronto. Canadians are very well known people for their multicultural identity but they become irritated by the hostile behaviour of the international students. \nSo Canada must give priority to its own citizens and its law and order. No one can be allowed to take advantage of its liberal system.

The big problem is that Canada increased immigration without having the infrastructure for them. Immigrants tend to move to major populations like Toronto, Vancouver, etc because there are typically more jobs, so these towns had their numbers increase faster than our social net could handle. Add in long-term Governmental reductions in spending on things like housing, healthcare, education with more people to service, and you end up with the housing crisis and inflation that we have.\n\nI understand why immigration was pushed; it was partially because people are collateral on the world stage. The larger your population, the more a country can borrow because you have more people to pay back those loans through taxation. It should work ... As long as you have the infrastructure to support the new citizens.\n\nImmigration needs to be dramatically reduced from current levels for a few years while we work to get up to speed for the populace we have.

It’s only really bad in places like Vancouver and Toronto, here in Red Deer Alberta I got my own place, a decent truck, and a good paying job. People that live out here in the Prairies are only really complaining about the fuel prices.

Low skill and low wage might have been ok when costs were low - low food prices, low energy prices, low housing and rental costs, etc. Now that everything is incredibly expensive, Canada is stuck between a rock and a hard place. Either wages will go up (which have been fairly stagnant for the last 30-40 years) so that it goes above and beyond inflation, OR you will not be able to bring in low skill, low wage labor. Simply put, when rents are $3000 a month in Toronto, minimum wage of $15/hr is $2500/mth (before taxes). Add another $1000/mth for food, and $500/mth for other expeditures - and you can see that just to survive - a person in Toronto needs a minimum of $4500/mth to not be on the streets. And this is IFF they are not married and have kids which can easily drive expenses to $6000/mth\n\nSo... for someone to just live normally, they need a bare minimum of $30/hr for 2000hr/year - this is a salary of $60K before taxes!\n\nBut the median income in Canada is 35K to 40K (it's on your tax return which determines if you get extra help from the government).\n\nSo... with these prices - you will never get low wage workers here... period. You can't expect immigrants to work as slaves and then pull your country out of the mess you created by spending money on useless programs like a drunken sailor.\n\nCut costs, cut taxes, cut inflation (stop printing money), cut useless programs (ala DOGE in the US), allow housing to crash, diversify your economy, invest in start ups and entrepreneurs, increase salaries, scrap the carbon tax, etc. Notice - none of these have anything to do with immigration.

If Canada cuts down on those selected immigrations but still takes in refugees, it’s only going to make anti-immigrant sentiment worse. Selected immigrants are allowed into Canada to help alleviate Canadian issues…or at least people who come through Express Entry are less likely to become a burden. On the other hand, refugees, given their unfortunate circumstances, really need to rely on a lot of social services and resources to help them resettle. The US has eliminated pretty much all non-humanitarian immigration that’s why immigrants are so demonized there. Americans only feel the drags of refugees and asylum seekers (even though ethically we need to protect them) and there is no selected immigration to balance that out. Yet this round of Canadian policy change is heading exactly that direction.\n\nIt used to be international students in Canada are not paying a lot more tuition than Canadian students. But Canadian universities saw how much money universities in the US are making so they asked the federal government to change the policy to enable them to charge international students several times the regular tuition (whereas in countries like France, international students actually pay less than citizens). So now Canadian universities rely too much on international students to operate and it becomes an exploitative relationship even before students step foot on the campus. The new PGWP eligibility is awful because students can make contributions in every field. It might (and that's a big if) address the pressing problems, but it won't help Canada grow.\n\nI thought the new language requirement was interesting. Some Canadians who immigrated decades ago when the bar was really low still speak English poorly and now they are saying people can’t come to Canada because their language skills are not sufficient. Another point about language is if you apply through Express Entry now, even if you scored the highest language score, given how competitive the pool is, you still won’t get selected. So it’s a given that you need to be fluent in one of the languages at least to get an invitation. Express Entry also selects only the top people, I saw the head of The Institute for Canadian Citizenship in interviews talking about those top-tier people only expect the best treatment/lifestyle when they come to Canada. That's why many of them leave after seeing these Canadian problems play out. There were so many people who attended “fake” universities and bought “fake” jobs to earn points to get an Express Entry invitation. And it's clear that the government wasn't proactively catching these abuses. They are taking up spots from those who try to earn the points fair and square. If I understand correctly, Canada doesn’t send these people away if they are found out (since some of them were scammed). So they still take up immigration quotas.\n\nI have wanted to move to Canada for a long time. I have visited Canada many times, hiking trails through the coastline and fjords, climbing mountains and glaciers. I lived in Montreal for two months to improve my French and I was told by my homestay family that I was the first student they had who didn’t complain about the cold (I wish the winter never ends so I can skate or xc ski in the parks year-round). I have probably seen more Canada than many Canadians and I love every bit of it. But the opportunity for me to even get a shot to move there is pretty much nonexistent now. I am an Indian, came here for ML research. Was unpleasantly surprised to witness so many unskilled Indians ruining the country. Uneducated, can't speak English, rude, unkempt. Like I love my country but I also love the country I immigrated to. I know tons of Indian friends like me who feel the same way. We all feel like we scammed ourselves into coming here. Every doordash and uber guy in Toronto is an Indian guy, who probably came here through a diploma mill. Why did Canada let this happen? Weirdly enough, even now, it's easier to get into Canada as a Khalistani terrorist or an LMIA abuser with a fake IELTS score and fake college admission letter than honest Indians who come here for higher education at good schools. Anyone reading this and from India, just go to the US man. As a Canadian I think he's over-looking the drug crisis in B.C. and Ontario has one of the worst and corrupt provincial governments in Canada and Montreal has a pretty high Crime rate like Toronto. Plus Most of these provincial governments only think of the Main cities like Toronto for the Ontario Government and Montreal, Quebec City for Quebec. Plus Ottawa is now prone to Occupations and other major demonstrations due to the lack of Canadian people's care of health and safety.

Immigrants are so massive, that is scary mostly in big cities, we don't have this problem in the countryside. It is so rare to see new comers that had choose to work and live into 40 000 population city like mine. They are very welcome, we lack so much on workforce in every jobs and it is much more easy to find a place to stay. The biggest problem isn't immigration, it is those new jobs opportunities created when we still don't have workers to fill the gap elsewhere who need it most!\nAlso. immigrants to tends to choose living and working in cities as Montreal, Vancouver or Toronto. Canada isn't limited in those cities. Towns, countryside are options, the living cost of rent is lower, house cost less and driving 30minutes to 1 hour on the road to go work is what most does Canadian.

what was not mentioned in this short video that should have been is proof that immigration is not causing the housing crisis. That is that the housing crisis now extends to small towns and rural areas. It's almost as expensive to rent in those areas these days. I know this because I have been seeking to move out of Montreal to a smaller town for the past 3 years and cannot find anything in my price range (been looking at rural Quebec and Ontario). \n\nHere's the thing, immigrants come to major urban centers like Toronto and Vancouver and to a lesser degree, Montreal. They do not go to rural areas or small towns at least, not in the first few years they're here. Given that, why does the housing crisis extend to small town and rural areas if migrants are not coming to those places?

Canada, you need to WAKE UP. Ive visited toronto and montreal for the nightlife scene and it was a blast before they started coming in mass. Cultural diversity is great but this is basically taking over a country without a single shot being fired. This silent invasion of mass indians needs to stop. I too am an immigrant but at least in my culture, we dont disrespect other cultures boundaries like that by shoving flags into peoples faces, putting loud music in public. My great grandfather moved to Toronto in 1890. He was a stone carver and did the stone work on the old bank buildings downtown. My grandfather was a clerk for the railway. My Dad was born in 1933 and grew up at Pape and Danforth. At the time, it was the edge of the city. As a kid, my Dad walked a few blocks to the local farms, bought produce, and sold it to his neighbors. I was born in Toronto in 1970 and lived there until 1998. I live in BC now. My Dad is gone; my Mom is in a home in North Bay. I will always consider Toronto my home, but like they say, you can't go back again. I feel entirely out of place when I visit TO now. It's not the place I knew.

Expand your industry across all of Canada, not just in Toronto. The city cannot accommodate more people. Consider offering higher salaries in provinces like Alberta, Prince Edward Island, Quebec, Yukon, and Northwest Territories, to encourage people to relocate to those areas. Bring business from USA & china……
