True Story !

This story is misleading and the Title is completely false. Canada's Student population doubled in 3 years and Canada went from 7th highest Foreign Student Population per capita to 2nd, so the Canadian Student housing situation worsened quickly. So the Trudeau Government put a cap on Foreign Students and offered low interest loans to Universities to immediately expand Student housing. Canada has seen NO drop in citizen applications and still refuses far more applications then it approves. So with even Canada's low birth rate still combined with immigration Canada's population is the fastest growing per capita of Western Democracies at an annual population increase of over 1 million people a year. So the Headline about Citizen applications which had nothing to do with the story of Foreign Students.\nAlso I want to add they stated that the gentleman had set up a business to bring home students from Canada when in the interview he stated that Canada was only one of the Countries but stating it the true way is less dramatic and doesnt fit their Narrative. Also the story was clipped from India a Nation that has been ata diplomatic war with Canada for a year after their Government Murdered a Canadian Landed Citizen. So their Governement put out a warning for their Citizens going their amongst other revenge moves. So the story has so many outside bias to be sensible.

I will tell you all something funny, Canada made me a citizen in just two weeks. This happened in Sept of 1987, and it was done via the Canadian citizenship centre in Mississauga Ontario. I had an interview with the judge, who was from Pakistan (that is not a lie), then I was sworn in as a Canadian citizen in the chamber and a government employee as a witness. This is such a badly researched report from BBC. The title of the video talks about citizenship applications dropping but they provide no data to back it up even if it's true. Then they only go to Punjab and talk to a student who left Canada before they became a PR. So that's irrelevant to the story. Then a chunk of the report is about the international student cap which in no way reduces current citizenship applications. The report should only concentrate on PRs leaving the country or choosing to not apply for citizenship. They only had one example of that in the whole video. Also interview PRs from other places other than Punjab. The story might be the same but it's good to know.

This story is very true. I came to Canada when i was 10. Was raised in Canada and life was great. All that changed in the last 10 years. Everything is sooo expensive you have to cut back on leisure activities that you need to keep your mind healthy after a long work week. All i did was work long hours for the necessities for me and my family. After a long conversation about a year ago with my wife, we decided to move back to Portugal (I have dual citizenship). We moved this past summer and couldnt be happier. Life here is much more laid back and you are not charged to do the simple leisure activities like going to a provincial park. Food is cheaper, housing is cheaper, insurance is cheaper and weather is 100x better. No more having to hibernate at home in the winters. Only thing i found more expensive here was electronics and fuel. Something needs to change in Canada.

As an atheist I wish you all the best, it's true the political games destroying the West from within. Though I'm on the side of LGBT and i believe that they should have rights like everyone else, at the same time I understand that some extreme ideologies can go and push so far and I agree that let kids be kids. My only concern is that Islamic countries do not have any rights for LGBT people at all, in fact, they are being prosecuted based on religion since religion is basically the law. True & Honest. You based it in a good higher ratio of salary & still fairly calculated disaster. Imagine if an average working class making only $ 35-40k per year single person. This is majority of single immigrants. I had ideas of moving out of my parents house and going out to explore the world by myself. Now I can’t do that without having to get engaged first, a plan I had specified *after* getting my own house. \n\nA crazy guy with a family of pet snakes could get his own house back in the day (True story). Nowadays, he’d be out on the streets and lose custody of them.

I dont feel sorry for these of people....i have friends who did it the right way, poor and without much means they still did the paper work, interviews, paid their fees, and waited years.....and yeah they made into the US - while others think they can bypass the whole system of law or order and our democracy just bc they are poor. Poverty does not give you the entitled if not demand rights to be in the US or Canada. Thank God for the internet, it allows us to hear the thoughts and feelings of others, especially the young people. Everything you've said is true but the other side of the story is why many people decide to live here. Maybe you should do a piece on why people want to live in Canada. This is my true story of a horrific experience that happened to me on renting apartments in Montreal, i had to look for a new apartment to rent due to having to leave my apartment i was at due to fire damages that was caused by another tentant in apartment complex,anyhow i soon there after found a new apartment,this new apartment was renting for $1100.00 it had just been renovated and really nice and clean,however my horrific experience was just about to get much worse,just at the time the covid19 outbreak came around i was settling into my new apartment and really happy i had found a new place,so i thought...i soon began feeling very sick in this apartment and i kept trying to figure out why i was feeling this way,well to cut my true story short,i found out after 5 months and becoming really sick that there were drug dealers who had set up a meth lab in an apartment agent to my mine and the fumes from cooking there meth drug had been seeping into my apartment getting me very sick, still today i have lingering horriffic symptoms do to this meth poisoning, i have seen doctors and explained to them about my bad experience,i have persistance symptoms of lung problems, sinuses and bad headackes which start in this place,i found out the chemical these drug dealers were using to cook this meth was called Ether which is a mix of sulfuric acid and alcohol along with other very toxic dangerous chemicals,however the Ether chemical mix has a very sweet smell not a bad smell which is very deceiving to the sense of smell leaving you thinking how wounderful the air smells around,if you`ve rented you know there are all kinds of smells around,however it was to late by then ,how i found out it was a meth lab is a long story,i had been poisoned really bad but just as bad as getting sick is that when there is meth contamination that seeps into apartments,everything becomes contaminated,i mean everything,from cloths to furniture,tv bed,the smallest objects everything,i couldn`t take anything with me due to meth residue contamination,meth lab spores are really bad,they will linger in everything for years continue making one sick and very hard to wash or get rid of,i had to dispose of everything i had,thousands of dollars lost,all my belongings,it was horrible so horrible,the land lord had no idea this was going on in his building only later to know,also from what i have found out is that these dangerous meth lab apartments are common,i rent from a friend now and will never again rent from others,i still am sick with long lasting bad symptoms fearing for my health ,so i say Renter beware.

I have lived in Canada for 30 years. Things back then in 1989 were almost perfect. Housing, cost, jobs, healthcare. It's now getting worse and worse and no positive signs ahead. In the last 10 years until now, if you're sick ending up in hospital, be prepared to wait for a whole day for your turn. There were cases people waited too long to be treated and died (true story). Gasoline price now is $1.34/litre, the highest price in 30 years. Buses don't have transfer ticket like before. Everytime you change the bus to reach your destination you have to pay. Bus ticket costs $3.50 each. Food price is skyrocketing. Internet, cellphone plan cost you at least $60 per month. Salary doesn't increase high enough to cover higher cost of living. I can't wait to leave Canada. Hopefully I save enough money in 5 years.

Bro \nAre you even from Canada? \nSome REAL TIPS \n1) Canada is expensive as fuck. Good luck on a minimum wage job. Don’t bother coming if you don’t have degrees because with such little population jobs are extremely competitive \n2) doctors visits and emergency rooms don’t cost anything upfront but do expect an 8 hour wait or 12 in a big city. Doesn’t matter what your “emergency” is... get in line. We have the longest waits in the world for things like X-rays and MRI’s. True story look it up. \n3) we have the most expense cell phone plans in the world with the shittiest coverage. In all fairness we have a small population and a massive landmass. \n4) if you’re moving to BC, car insurance is government run. So it’s extremely expensive (I think also the most expensive in the world) and it’s awful... so don’t ever get into an accident) other provinces don’t run this way. \n5) gas in BC is also very expansive because of multiple taxes, it’s affordable most places in the prairies though \n6) drinking is 18+ everywhere except BC where it’s 19+ \n\nSo if you want to live somewhere “nice” move to BC. but you’ll be poor as fuck. \nWant to live somewhere affordable, move to the prairies but it’s awful. \nYou can’t move to Quebec if you don’t speak French fluently. Toronto is okay and you won’t fit in anywhere in the eastern islands so don’t even bother. \n\nThe end.

i am Canadian, always lived here, & love it, 68 1/2 yrs. I am personally on my own health & wellness & weight loss channel. I am 4 lbs from my 100 lb goal. & tell my story. 33 months tomorrow. Hubby pays $200 a month for blue cross at his work, we get free medical tests, $100 a script, most dental & eye tests free, hubby got his artifical eye free, $800.00, also $800 for private MRI. And btw CBC, talking about intolerance and hate, will you be doing a major CBC investigation into the many arson fires at Christian churches of late? There is clear hatred against a religious group going on with the latest arson at the famous Nantes cathedral in France. Will the CBC be doing stories about the racial hate of the perps when they are caught? Even if the perps are not white? Somehow I doubt it. Although it's a daily topic in the CBC, their anti racism coverage only extends to certain select groups. They don't actually demonstrate a true belief in equality.

This just in. Sharks are protesting that we are profiling them with hateful words and letting the true evil ones, dolphins get away with ocean supremacy. This has to stop. Next story the Bubonic plague virus is suing the common cold for having the audacity to say that they are more represented in the justice system.

If the cultures that feel discriminated against would behave in a civilized manner then maybe they wouldn't get the rxn they do - stats always tell the true story. Ppl are afraid & extra cautious b/c what they see is a barrage of terrorism & destruction that is so synonymous w/ some cultures. Therefore I don't consider racism to be a huge problem in Canada. I see it more as a self-protective measure. Stop inciting a load of lies based on a few incidents.

Why not tell tell the true story of today's racing work places instead of going back to old stories of yesterday time and time again?. Work place issue are more important today than retelling the same old story again and again. How can we change by the current situation to make it better? Nothing new to learn from this now because of the difference in time. CBC should do better.

TRUE STORY : first time i went to Costco, i was ignored and rude to. Finally, i asked why am i being ignored? He apologized and offer to assist me. I told him I'm interested in on a membership and the city credit card. He bluntly told me, he doesn't think I'll get approve for the credit card. I asked why? He said because nobody ever does. I replied, i am not a NOBODY! He said please be quiet and complete my application profile. He did just so. He was genuinely shocked, when i got an instant $4k approval. He apologized again and asked politely what my credit score was. I told him 797 with an 7% debt to racial. He started kissing my butt to the point i felt even more uncomfortable because the love was growing beside me. I HATE BEING PROFILE.
