The Trump recession began yesterday. I fully support our great neighbor to the North, and my favorite foreign country in the world. Canada did not pick this fight, Trump did.\nTo everyone that voted for Trump, don’t complain as our economy descends into a chaotic recession, people get screwed out of Social Security and Medicaid, gas prices go up and groceries cost more. \nYou made a mistake. Canada (and many other countries) spent decades supporting the maintenance of US hegemony. Look what it got us? To a position where we're pretty much greatly dependent on, and at the mercy of the US. We need to invest more in our own country and make our own products. We should also trade with other countries regardless of what the US thinks of those countries. Trump wants Canada to put tariffs on China in the attempt to further impede that country's economic growth so the US will remain the economic hegemony. Never mind that a trade war with China would put Canada in an even worse position. Given the current events, I say we trade with China even more!
