Somewhat right but not exactly right. According to Trump admin, Trump is actually trying to stop the circumvention of Chinese goods and Chinese drugs coming from Canada. Trudeau promised Trump to work on the drug issue, but I guess he did not if we are seeing the significant import tax on Canada now. And come on Trudeau, you dislike Trump and aren't exactly his friend. You talked back on him on many international stages. Anyways, I wish you two get along eventually and hope the same for US and Canada.

Canadian here. My husband and I listen at you here on CNN Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, and we couldn't be more proud of you and your team. You say intelligent words right from the start and you deliver a strong message in a very strong manner, beginning with this: the US is declaring economic war on Canada, as well as strong arguments, and that fentanyl is just a pretext, which we all already know, that getting closer to Russia and cutting ties with its allies is Donald Trump's current course of action, and the fair question to ask is why is this man putting himself at the service of the Kremlin which is totally unnatural for an American.?

There's many reasons not to like Trudeau up here in Canada, many of which are the reason he'll (rightfully) no longer be the PM next week. As a conservative I hated him for SNC-Lavalin (among other scandals), and the fact that his inexperience with the economy Harper left him is probably part of why this trade war is going to hurt more than it could have, and the fact that he's often been kind of a phony more concerned with looking and sounding good for the press cameras. It’s really annoying that CNN continues to babble on instead of letting Trudeau finish his press conference and then proceed with their responses. That money should have gone right to Defense spending. I never voted for Trudeau, but it is hard not to admire him after this speech. He makes Trump look just like he is.. an old, ugly, out-of-shape, and very, very stupid fool.
