I am a white Canadian have family and friends in the USA and I tried to move to the usa back in the early 2000's because I had a job could not do it because I was not allowed but it seems if you are other then white it is so much easier and everyone said I should go now because Trudeau is a dictator and that I am a law abiding Conservative that wants to leave Canada because our PM is nothing but a POS Liberal that is robbing the hard working real Canadians and cutting us off of having a good job because of DEI. They want blacks and browns to have all the high paying jobs while the rest of us get shafted into working for Min Wage or a little bit above while we get taxed to death. and if you look at all the homeless in Canada it's all white people and nothing but it's like the scumbag Liberals want the whites to live homeless or just scrapping to get by below the poverty line. It's really sad that this Country is going this way and wish Trump would come here and just clean out the liberals and Woke POS and send them to live on some abandon Island allong with the criminal Illegals because I am so sick of the BS. The Illegals are taking right over and they are the ones that are killing the people off with the drugs too.

Typical Americans and Trump. Sign a free trade agreement and then when you feel like it just violate it for your own interest. They only play by their own rules. If Canada violated the agreement they would all over it. A while back they tried to nail Canada with 4 billion in softwood lumber tariffs in that they claimed Canada violated the free trade agreement, which they did not. The arbitrary trade council which oversees both countries ordered the USA to pay back Canada the 4 billion. The USA never did. The prices of fresh produce will shoot up - but Mexican produce is covered in pesticides that are banned in the USA. My question is, Do you think Canadians are passive aggressive compared to Americans? Kind of wishy washy? i am in a college in a small town in Ontario and in my class we have 54 students and only 4 not including me are local students and the rest basically 90% are indian and the rest nepali from Philippines and some African countries and i moved here from usa with my family in 2015 and even up till 2019 canada was livable and now its not its impossible my plan is when i graduate i will move back to usa or some cheap country like Mexico Thailand and work remotely i am not against immigration but the path this country is going in accepting crazy amounts of student visa is wild also i feel some what bad for some of these students they get sold on a lie being canada is affordable they can find job easily and live comfortable but at the same time these students should do their research and its nothing but a infinite money maker for collages but at the same time they are kind of forced to do so to make money cause here in Ontario ford cut budgets for collages

Why do people still keep coming to Canada? Because it's even worse where they come from. Unfortunately, even countries in Europe are in trouble. Have a look at France and Germany. Germany is in debt and in recession; all Latin EU countries are in debt up to their eyeballs, facing bankruptcy thanks to free spending liberal governments. As for Developing Countries, their GDPs are not enough to deal with their populations reaching working age. Their growth is too slow, so opportunities abroad look attractive. And, if immigrants move onward to the USA, that is the natural flow Canadian immigration has had for decades. The Can. government will need to become heavily involved in creating affordable, high density housing, cut red tape, and make education cheaper if they want to retain migrants.

You have tried to explain very well the initial struggle faced by new immigrants. This does take years and sometimes decades to settle down properly in a new country for first generation. First generation Indians try to save as much as they can while cutting corners. Things have relatively become much easier as there are plenty of jobs for those who have professional degrees and substantial experience. I personally found Canadian bachelor of engineering was far superior than masters of computer science in USA. I enjoyed spending four years in downtown Toronto while full time studying in late 80’s before moving back to USA. Someone else mentioned here in previous thread that all of their friends are much better off in India. I feel more or less the same way in spite of having three engineering degrees and 40 years experience. I am strong believer in Karmas, your destiny will take you where you’re supposed to be. Canada still requires people to have an education of at least of what is required to obtain a job. All immigrants in the USA walk in and expect to be hired just because they are non white, education or not. I want to move from us to Canada, mean reason the immigration is broken in usa for Indian and I don’t want my Indian born kid to face same uncertainty . Let's cut to the chase. Canada is a third-world country next to USA. Skill A says Doctors, Dentists and Architects. When you have these skills and come to Canada, you have to start over again. So Skill A is just a show to pretend that Canada is developed nation that welcomes professionals. All other categories need developing country skills (butchers, truck drivers, carpenters, etc.).
