Every country should be responsible for their own goods. The day we start relying on other countries for what we need we're in a heck of a mess. Because China couldn't get our merchandise to our plant we had to shut down for almost a month. We messed up sending some of our work to China. After this we got everything in the US. Cheaper prices are not the solution. Cheaper labor is not the answer. Trump is concerned about the drugs coming into our country and since the borders are affected these drugs will be coming into our country many other ways. You know where criminals go to get out of the US. Canada. Trump is doing this for our country and you can bet on this. I'm sick of drugs in our country killing people everyday. I'm sick of guns but just about every household owns guns. Children are killed in their own homes with guns. Who cares about alcohol being sold in their state. Honestly. People are homeless because of addiction to alcohol. Yeah saying president Trump using fentanyl for this for this trade war was a bad move. President Trump is doing this for the drugs taking over this country.

Canadian here. Wake up Canadians. Many people are praising Trudeau for this speech. Don't. He is out as Liberal leader within the week. He doesn't have to follow through on anything he said. Plus, he just stated that he's smart enough to suggest that Trump just put a 25% tax on Canadian goods for Americans but he also thinks that you are dumb enough not to realize that he just put a 25% tax on Canadians for American goods. Trudeau basically created the situation for these tariffs (open border to let anyone come here). He loves this as he gets to take the apparent moral high ground for the first time in his life and wants this speech to be the way he is remembered rather than years of failing Canada. Forget about the last 9 years and vote Liberal if you are a fool.

Prime Minister Trudeau is boldly hitting the nails on the head, and I admire his boldness and honesty as I've always admired Canada and its peoples. Trump is in the back pocket of the Russian dictator. His actions prove it to my satisfaction. Canada has been a staunch friend of the US, a real partner not just for economic benefits for both countries but for a democratic way of life. Canada is a strong democracy whose people are known for their open hearts and minds. I pray that this idiotic trade war started by a man who is subservient to Putin will come to an end. I say to Canadians, let us stick to our common values of democracy, free expression, peaceful borders, and our commitment to the greatest good of the many rather than the greatest good of the few and the Russian dictator.

Why can’t we have a real leader like this! Instead we have a belligerent egomaniac Russian asset as president. He shouldn’t have even had 10% of the vote. I live in Nashville, TN USA. I am so sorry Canada is suffering due to Trump. I do not support this move on Trump's part. I never voted for him. As an American, I am so Proud of President Trump! If my neighbors in Canada had done what was right and stopped the flow of fentanyl from coming into Canada and flowing into my country, little Justin wouldn’t be crying right now in front of a camera. Prime Minister Justin Trudeau thank you for your address to Americans, to the american Bully in chief, and to your people. I am among those who started pushing back before trump took office, many are. We’re watching legislation and countering it. It won’t be easy, but we, the other half who understand that trump is crooked and dysfunctional, will not give up. The rural parts of America, where people wear military style clothing, work out so much they have oversized body muscles, and style their head and facial hair so crazily, driving heavy duty trucks with anti -American government bumper stickers, they are the right wing domestic terrorists. In those mountainous rural counties you will come across poor grade roads with gates and chains at the entrance to hundreds of fortress compounds. The women are way too thin, often with frightened, glazed looks in their eyes. Both the men and women will give anyone a way too long piercing stare. They live too far away from any place to work so many of the carefully obscured building complexes, often jammed against sheer tall walls of rocks, have to be making something inside!

In case anyone is wondering why so many Indians are trying to flee Canada here it is. Under Trudeau and the liberal government Canada was basically giving a free pass to anyone who wants to come to Canada through colleges and universities, if you get into a Canadian school, you can get a study permit (which also allows you to work for 20h a week). Additionally after the schooling you are given a guaranteed work permit for the same duration as the schooling (if you went to school 2 years you get a 2 year permit, 4 years you get a 4 year permit, ect.) A Canada and immigration agencies (for some reason) basically advertised this to India as a guaranteed way to get permanent residence in Canada. Canadians hated the massive flood of people coming into Canada (about a million a year at its peak, which for a smaller country like canada is equivalent to 10 million people coming into the USA every year). This is really unpopular with voters of course (in part because of the housing, food, and low skill work shortages it created), and the next Canadian election is this year. So the conservative government has vowed to massivly decrease the number of immigrants coming into Canada and the Liberal government knowing that this can be used against them in the next election is decreasing the amount of PR cards they are given (like a Canadian green card) as well as the people they are letting in in total. Now as the (mostly Indian) immigrants work permits expire and they will soon be kicked out of the country or no longer legally be allowed to work, they are fleeing to NYC to try to take advantage of the sanctuary city (something that does not exist in Canada).

While I don't approve of giving low tips or being rude, a problem is we have an over immigration problem here with the same number of Indian immigrants coming here as in the U.S despite 10x less people and tens of thousands of less towns. So it's getting hard for Canadians who were born or grew up here to find jobs and many are upset and some will take it out in inappropriate ways. It's best for government to limit immigration so that Canadians can have these jobs. Sometimes you have to put up with jerks in retail. You can always not work there

He’s deporting people who are here legally and awaiting processing. Immigration process is long and expensive. Unless you’re wealthy. So imagine doing it the right way and this happens. We tried to tell people but no one listened. I’m black and I already know they are gonna harass us and ask us for our papers. And racists whites don’t care. MAGA= racists. That is how we see you. This is really sad becuase life after deportations is tough for somebody who was raised in USA. I was taken to the U.S. as a baby and grew up there, but at 19, I was sent back to Mexico—a country I had no memory of, no connections in, and barely spoke the language. My entire family had migrated when I was little, so I was left to figure everything out on my own.\n\nComing back felt like being thrown into an unfamiliar world. I wasn’t fluent in Spanish, had a weird accent, and my mindset was completely different from those who grew up in Mexico. I used to be outgoing and got along with everyone, but now I’ve become more introverted. I struggle to relate to people, have trouble socializing, and often feel like I don’t belong. Many even think I’m a terrible person for coming back after being raised in the very place they dream of moving to.\n\nMaking friends has been challenging too. Many assume that because I grew up in the U.S., I have more money, and friendships often come with the expectation that I’ll pay for everything.\n\nOn top of that, daily life is a struggle. Renting a place is extremely difficult because I don’t have a co-signer from Mexico, and they won’t accept one from the U.S. Getting legal documents like a passport is nearly impossible because my parents haven’t been in the Mexican system for over 19 years, and officials tell me they have no way to prove who I am. Hi everyone, I'm just going to weigh in some experience here. These people have given up on their government to fix things. They had it good before when Venezuela was wealthy not so long ago. They want that back. Who wouldn't. They want a chance at a better life . They have in most cases already sold all possessions for traveling money and bribes or security. They are scared and tired of traveling. They got told to come to America by someone. I wish we could afford as a country to take them all and it be ok and they build a good life here. I wish it was like that. The system we have needs work for certain. The USA is being overwhelmed by too many coming. We have to slow the roll . But it's a bad situation for all involved. They will look for an illegal way if needed to make it. Hence the cartels step in and offer a way in exchange for money or drug smuggling and the trouble gets worse. There is no simple solution here. We have way too many here it's creating resentment. It'd be like living in India but literally every place you went all u see is white ppl speaking English and not respecting Indians culture. After years of seeing your quality of life and services decline you'd get upset too. If u had kids that can't even find a summer job because they're all taken by foreigners or can't find an apartment to live in then that's where problems start. Thanks to the democrates who allowed so many illegal migrants in this country. They are shakled because they refused to voluntarely leave and to avoid riots while traveling! Not the best way but when you deal with such sensitive situation, it is better to keep the situation under control. The US needs to keep the border closed yet allow more migrants to come legally.

Lets keep i real. The desire that most immigrants have is homeostasis which is the familiar. All humans do this. Individually indians are usually smart and decent people. But in groups ( and this doesnt just include indians) you get this group thinking that is prejudice against anyone who isnt one of their own. Im fairly certain its a good demonstration of what a different culture would experience in their own country. This is especially noticeable in markem with the Chinese population. \n\nLet me say this loud and clear. We didnt let you come here so you could start your own countries inside of our country. With our low corruption goverments , our clean drinking water, our free health care and education system, with our opportunities that make it possible through merit and hard work that it doesnt matter what family or where you were born. These are attractive features of canada that play a role in why people want to come here. And leave where they were. Its it logical to think that you have more to learn about us then we do of you? Not being on some selfish punk shit is canadas greatest strength. Its that same inclusives mentality that keep the government corruption very small which empowers the citizens to make them successful and able to contribute more back into this system. The very nature of hoarding resources for ones family, same culture, etc are the same oppressive situations many of these people left their countries to seek better opportunities. But once given those opportunities and a chance to decide for themselves, a lot of these people use their liberties to create exclusion and hostility toward out groups. The indians do this in a very overt in your face way, the chinese are more polite about it but both have this way of looking out for their own and not being concerned with anyone else. As far as im conerned you should all be split up and dispersered to live in different provinces and cites. I know this isnt realitic but it would save them from what a lot of them are gunna end up be exposed to which is experiences with native born Canadians who are going to very rudly show you what happens when you disrespectf someone in their own home. \n\nThe party is over. Anti-Trump is Pro-American. This corrupt president is against the people. Trump's rationale of the border security issue to Canada is totally false as less than 1 percent of drugs and illegals come through Canada. What would you do if you believed that this was the only way to protect your children, your family? The reason Indians are not wanted in many countries, is the crude way they behave, and the way they try to defraud every system by trying to overstay illegally, coming on toursit visa and taking up a job, lying and cheating to bend laws etc etc. The list is endless. It is much better for other countries if Indians just stay in India.

Americans want legal ways to citizenship to be improved but we cannot accept mass, unregulated immigration. It is not sustainable. Both parties can agree on that but we can’t agree on how to fix it. The issue is that there are too many people coming and it’s overwhelming our system. It’s sad to see people upset but we have to put our own country’s interests first.

A lot of Indians treat white people really badly. Especially when there is money involved. It’s now extremely common that people here hate dealing with Indians as customers of their business and will go as far as avoid it altogether. They will often relentlessly try to negotiate services, lie and say anything to get get their way, pester businesses until they cave to their demands and even leave bad reviews which they say they will change if you give them a good deal. None of this is the way things are done in Canada and that needs to be respected. Something kind of funny, I’ve heard many people say that Indians will often say they will refer tons of friends and family to a business if you give them an unreasonable discount (which they never do once they’ve gotten what they want), but what they don’t realize is that referring a bunch more Indians to them is the last thing that business wants. And really, some of the discounts they want on things are just ridiculous. When I was selling my car a few years ago, I had it listed for $55,000 and I got bombarded by Indians offering $20,000-$25,000 and every lie under the sun of why that’s all it was worth, other people are saying yes to offers like that for the same car, dealerships are selling them for that much and so on. Like come on. And I guess while I’m at it, I hate to say but it’s a common thing here to walk into a gas station and the smell of body odour just hits you like a brick. I’ve stopped going to 3 different stations because of it. I’m sure there’s some pungent white people out there but damn. This is on a whole other level. It literally fills the entire building.
