If you don't want to be described as colonisers because "it's something that happened before you were born", Stop trying to claim that you "built this country".. because the people who built it? We're colonisers. Anything you mention that the immigrants are doing now? Can be said about European history doing to the native people. Nothing has changed. I am Native American. At college, I took a welding course just to break the monotony of classes as I was raised using my hands. This immigrant male, asked the rest of the class "why is she here?". I asked if he had a problem with me and he looked at the class to tell me not to speak to him. No one said a word but looked between us in silence. I asked him again, "do you have an issue with me being here?". Again he told the rest of the Caucasian men to tell me to stop speaking to him. I said if you have a problem with me, let's step outside and one of us will walk back in. You can't accept that a Native female is in this class, pack your family up and go home. Don't think of the state's because that's mine too. The teacher walked in and he could see and sense the tension in the room. He removed the immigrant and they went out of the room. A few minutes later the instructor came in and looked at me and said he'll be taking a class with no females. His country doesn't allow females an education yet alone a trade. You're welcome to stay. I have no intention to leave, was my comment back. I'm here to learn. Decades later, I'm driving home from northeastern Quebec and on the 401 is a gas/food stop. My child and I were passed by 4 luxury sports cars. They pulled into this stop and parked across all the handicapped parking spots. Bumper to bumper across the spots. We went in and met them as we came out and met a truck driver of the same nationality. He asked "how is Canada treating you?". They smiled and said "look", motioning to their silk suits. Another pointed to their cars. And another said "they treat us like kings'!". The fourth said "Canadians are easy to play! Cowards!!" A few days later, I'm at Walmart and present my tax exempt (we pay 5% tax) but the cashier looks at it and states "you all think your so special!!" Your paying the tax like everyone else! A customer behind me yelled for management loudly. When management showed, I didn't say a word because it was the customers behind and on the side of me with complaints of the rudeness of the cashier. She was removed and manager took over transactions. Not just mine but those after me. There was another incident with my child. An immigrant (can tell by the long tunic) was trying to lure my daughter away from me. I put her in a cart and requested help from a young employee who wanted me to write a book before calling security. Another employee came over and called security immediately. By the time they found the man, he had exited the store and got into a taxi. A few weeks later at an arena where youth hockey practice was taking place, the same scenario was happening. A man in a tunic was trying to lure children away and when caught, jumped into a taxi and left the scene. To attack an adult who can defend themselves is one thing but to go after children is another. I say stricter policy on crimes are needed.

I feel very sad because, in the end, all immigrants end up paying the price for the bad attitudes of a few. I speak especially from the perspective of Latin American immigrants: we are not the majority in Canada, but we come with the intention of adapting, of including ourselves in the local culture, and of contributing the best we can. Our culture is not so distant — we share religion, family values, and lifestyle — and we arrive with the willingness to integrate, not to impose. Even so, for us the path is extremely difficult: getting permanent residency and, eventually, citizenship is a long, expensive, and complicated process. And we do it, we comply with the rules, we respect, we pay everything. What hurts is seeing that some other groups arrive with a different attitude: instead of integrating, they want to impose their culture, their religion, even their body odors, and if you make a face or express discomfort, they immediately take it as “discrimination.” It is not fair that, for example, my child should stop bringing meat in his lunch just because another child bullies him saying he is “a filthy sinner.” Inclusion should be mutual, an effort on both sides, not a one-sided demand.

I consider myself International( 3ed generation Canadian) because I spent half of my life working in many countries. Canada was always my home until about 15 years ago when I started feeling that thigs are changing in the wrong directions not only the immigration influx but total anti-Christian war, morality, family values, sexualization of children etc etc. its all gone to HELL !! This is not only about money and cheap labor, rather the NEW WORLD ORDER that the Western ELITES have implementing for decades. The same thing that's happening to us Canadians, it's happening to Americans, Britian, France, Spain, Italy, Germany and most of our G20 group because they all agreed to this globalization, and neoliberal policies. Now that my children graduated, I have moved them to an east European country where all my values and beliefs are still intact. I will be leaving Canada soon with a very sad heart, in my mind I will keep the Canada that I once loved. THIS IS ALL PLANNED it's not a mistake !! The countries in EU that don't allow for mass immigrants are being targeted, sanctioned, fined in the billions and are forcing to oust the governments ( Hungary, Slovakia, Poland etc )!! We have conservatives and religious types but they're all more or less respectful and they don't try to control Canadian society. American here that has extensive relationships in Canada. We don’t want this tariff war but the tariffs being implemented first by the Trump administration on behalf of US were punitive for violating USMCA and tied directly to the border defects. This was made known in advance and you repeated empty promises. Take your medicine and get well fast. Instead of doing that, you are taking an action that will beget reciprocal tariffs. Implement $30B and Trump will add $30B….add another $125B later and Trump will add another $125B. Heads up….America wants good partners and looks forward to being past this as well. In the meantime, we are prepared to pay more (or live with less) as we get back up on our feet. We have a lot of internal healing and cannot carry any other countries right now. American here. My take? This is not about protectionism this is about isolationism. \nWhy would Trump want this? This is about becoming the first American dictator of the Western Hemisphere. \nHyperbolic? Nope. Trump controls the Senate, House, Doge, Project 2025 is in the White House, all the branches of the Defense Department, the Attorney General and his offices, six of the nine seats on the Supreme Court, and assigned over 250 Federal judgeships to the Federal courts which are a lifetime appointment. The ONLY thing that is standing in the way of Trump are the Federel judges that actually understand the constitution and do not want to destroy this nation. The fly in the ointment? Courts can issue an order based on the constitution or our laws, but does not have any way to enforce them if Trump should just disregard their order. That is how close we are to a dictatorship.\nWake Up America.?\n P.S. Sorry Canada! Coalesce, find new trade partners, and leave the United States behind. We are no longer worthy of your friendship.

Why should America prioritize other countries? You just want your goods to flood and destroy the American family business

Both Trudeau and Zelensky openly state that Trump's actions will lead to poverty in the USA and weaken the country so much on the international stage that no one will want to cooperate with the US anymore, fearing that when the day of trial comes, the US will betray them—just as Trump did! Unlike Trump, Europe did not betray the USA on its day of trial when NATO's Article 5 was invoked to help the US fight ISIS. Europe sent its soldiers, who died for the USA. And today, Trump claims that this does not matter, that he does not recognize Europe because it supposedly took advantage of him. So I ask, who took advantage of whom? Because so far, I see a deceitful man doing everything that terrorist Putin wants. God, protect America so that its children do not have to fight for freedom, as Ukraine is doing today in defense of American ideals—which, for Trump, mean as much as toilet paper in his golden toilets...

Unfortunately, i think that trump (he does not deserve un upercase) dreams of becoming like putin. All that he is doing, everything in his language and actions screams dictator. I think that putin dreams of having the entire Europe to himself and that trump will actually want everything around the USA which includes ofc, Canada. That was their deal. I don't understand why americans are standing by just watching things unfold. It will not get better, this can only and will get worse. Sooner than they think they will find themselves trapped under these people, with no rights. It is really hard when you are already there to actually go back to democracy.

Thank you for separating the american people from the very small percentage of those in the White House administration behind these actions. Most americans are not in agreement with any of what's coming out of the president's office. He's lost sight of what American really stands for - and that his role, along, with those of his administration, are paid servants. Obligated to SERVE every citizen of their country - including representing and fulfilling the wishes of the people they serve. Whether they like all the people or agree with the needs of all the people. The people of our country don't want what's happening with Canada, Mexico or Ukraine. Or Russia for that matter. Trudeau you're a PM and when you disrespect the president publically you disrespect America, so you have no right to address the American people. You don't know how to handle politics and thats why your own people have verbalized that they want you gone! Your lack of respect for the President and the United States is what put you and your country in this situation in the first place. Tou're leaving out on a low. Humble yourself and sit down and talk to the President, and address him as such, and he'll cut you a deal, and you can gain back some dignity. Otherwise, stop complaining to the world community. Trump understands that BOTH Zelenskyy and Putin must sit down and agree to a peace agreement... THAT'S IT! Putin is ready.. but Zelenskyy doesn't want to even try.. for one simple reason.. MONEY! he knows that if the war ends, the gravy train called American money comes to an end... Billions of dollars is unaccounted for! Let's put our thinking caps on for just a moment.. where do you think that money disappeared to? Billions of dollars doesn't just vanish in thin air! So now that Trump is putting an end to Zelenskyy's gravy train and has called for the war to end, for people to stop dying and for peace to happen.. that makes him on Putin's side!?!? Good lord .. if this were Obama or even Biden getting this deal done in the same fashion, the media and these same liberals would be calling them heroes! They would be up for the Nobel Peace prize!
