Canada's population of 40 million is not enough to drive the economy big. An MPP long time ago wanted Canada's population to be around 100 million to drive the economy. The usa to do this the time of cowboys gave free land to anyone who went west. Some immigrants due to poverty, never being able to establish themselves and racism did not even get married or only have one child contributing to Canada's declining birth rate. Canada's population that grew from 25 million to its current populatio of 2024 is due to immigration not child birth. New immigrants is what is driving Canada's economy. Who do you think is buying houses, condos, furniture, cars, etc. Many old generations Canadians of english, Scottish and irish descent don't and pass their house on to their kids if lucky.

If you don't care enough to respect the country which you're living you're not worthy of staying in that country. As simple as that. You do not own this country or India for that matter, learn to respect the people and culture of the country you're staying in. Keeping aside Canadia's vices, we always have to remember that this land is our home for the number of years we're studying here. If you wouldn't do something it in your own home, you shouldn't do anywhere else. It's because of people like these all the Indians receive hate. People like me who genuinely care about education and respect the Canadian Culture suffer. Although I am glad that most of the Canadians that I have came across till now have been able to understand how different I am from the bad experiences they've had in the past and treat me well. I am grateful for this opportunity that I have received.

The Americans have enough problems at their southern border and they should be very careful who they allow in from the northern border. A lot of them hate America, hate the western way of life and hate each other.

The Conservatives kicked the can down the road on foreign buyers/housing/money laundering as well. It is also a global epidemic. Re-just as easy to launder money? It's not. So these guy just lost my attention. Point your fingers at both parties and don't forget the Canadians who sold for ridiculous prices and thought they were winning. Well it has to do with resources there isn't enough to go around. Not enough jobs, not enough land, not enough money. Why should the US have to take care of other countries people? Why can those countries take care of their own? Running out of space too?

There was an incident were a cricket match was going to be shown in the mega plex put they did not show it something happened that was not mega plexes fault that it was not being shown there was a group of Indian students who started screaming at the ticket counter. Taxes , are high , homes are crazy expensive , car insurance is high , people’s are getting there cars stolen don’t see the benefit really coming to Canada . And most Indians already own there own house in India so way come to Canada and in India you pay very small taxes as well .?‍♂️ and at the end of the day white people are so racist towards Indians know they look at you like you are the reason there life is messed up ? make India. Great ????. America only has its military going for it it’s such a racist place to live as well . Canada talks about how great their health care is but when you see the wait times and how they have less doctors not so great . Canada and America are only great if you are already rich but if you are poor or middle class life is a struggle. I came to Canada in 2016 worked in IT until I had enough money saved up moved back to India and bought land and built a house just started buying more land and when I had enough moved back to India . Us Indians can be successful anywhere so way not be successful in our country. And Japan is the most technology advanced country more than America even . Germany can make new visa requirements etc it doesn’t matter because German people’s mindset needs to change , we can’t learn German the moment we land in the airport this is the expectation when we land in Germany, your visa procedures aren’t fast enough and friendly , people wait for more than 3 months for dependent visa and more, also the kind of stares we get while travelling to work or shopping and more , it just feels weird , Spain France and other southern European countries are much better to live and work.

migrant moving here presume no degree, start from scratch take 4 years minimum to get a degree and have to work 2 jobs while at it just to barely scrape by. once u graduate, u be lucky to even land a government jobs that pay 50000-60000 a year. mean while a house cost 1.5 million on average and a 1 bed condo starts at 600000 to 700000. by the time u save enough down payment, u will be in ur 30s, and by the time u finished with the mortgage u r well into ur 50s or 60s. while everything is expansive as shit here, migrant can actually have a much more easier life and cheaper path way to a home. specially those coming from india or south east asia, why bother lol.

Here in China, housing is so expensive that many young people give up on dating and getting married. The point is free market doesn't regulate housing crisis. The government doesn't provide jobs in building housing. Canada is nothing but vast lands, that means enough place to build housing. Come on.

I am an Indian and every day I see ads from Canadian universities promising me work visas and top quality education. I also get calls from agents time to time saying my alma matter is more than enough to land me a job there and they just need a certain amount of money to send me to canada with work permit without any college enrollment.

WE also don’t t have enough usable land to produce food, And Set up infrastructure that is affordable. We already have high costs of living in very under-serviced areas. The space that is already used for the population of canada is already over populated, and overpriced housing and living costs for our citizens.

However, I got almost free housing and obtained my PR. \n\nThen I got a better job. There are plenty of jobs in Alberta where employers provide accommodation almost for free or completely free. The job may not be the best, but you can save money quickly. That's what I did. I worked another year for a sewer company, completed my trucking school, and now I have my Class 1. \n\nSome companies even pay for your trucking school, but you have to sign a contract for 1 or 2 years. They might not pay much, but hey, you'll get your Class 1. \n\nYou need to read more forums and talk with more people. Don’t just sit and wait for a miracle.

I landed as PR in Canada and I’m Canadian Citizen now….. being IT professional it wasn’t that difficult to settle however what you mentioned for students is somewhat true! There is an another side of it as well that Student visa was somewhat abused as an entryway to canada when skilled PR was getting stringent. \nImmigration happened at a rapid speed however infra for healthcare is same thus the wait tine has increased… not enough Doctors……also not enough job opportunities for those students, Inflation and high interest rates are adversely affecting new Immigrants.

The problem with the overcrowded housing isn't that the land lords are taking advantage of their tenants, it's that their giving the tenants the opportunity to make enough money to send back home to their families, which on the surface seems richous, but it's stealing millions from the Canadian economy that's already in dire straights and allowing more people to migrate in and do the same thing, creating a feedback loop that drains Canadian budgets.

Fact: Make 250-300k and come to India or Bangladesh, You can get a land and build your own home, a car and will have enough money left to start a business. You can live a luxurious life!

Canada is one of the least densely populated major countries and the problem for your housing prices is less than 1M immigrants over the past 2years? And you're going to lead your causes of this problem with that? Give me a break.\nSpend more time on WHY building new houses is not profitable enough and is disincentivized. Talk about how incentivizing home ownership as a wealth building vehicle turned into a bubble and a ponzi scheme as those housing investments outpaced other investments. You know who can still afford to buy up houses, hold them, and prevent the market from deflating? Corporations. Shifting taxes that hurt poor people (like income and sales taxes) onto land value taxes would stop most of this. It would become expensive to sit on vacant investment houses and corporations and landlords would be forced to sell them.

All lies, I was recently unemployed in Winnipeg and it was challenging to land even a minimum paid job. I noticed hundreds of applicants for every job. There is simply not enough work for everyone.

Yes, they have a full right to stay because they invest so much in Canada and get a good insight of Cdn culture so they are good enough to fit in. After all, they are better off ethically than colonizers who stole lands!

I've been in Canada for 2 years without a Family doctor. Thank God, the last 10 different Doctors I met were all fresh immigrants and came to my rescue. Ask your conscience, without these immigrants, you wouldn't be getting your late night coffee at the time Hortons drive thru, no one to take your blood works without you waiting several months in waiting, no ways for universities to subsidize tuition fees for the poorer Canadian students. If immigrants stop coming in, the nice detached home you live in will go down in value, the nice truck you drive will become more expensive, your kids University tuition fees will sky rocket, Canadian companies selling groceries, furniture, etc. Will have lesser revenue and eventually get eaten up be American giants, Canadian companies won't have cheap labour to build those much needed housing. \nNot only question your government, but also question your 'own' people.. Where are they to serve you? Where are the so called patriotic 'original' Canadian Doctors'? They are off to US to earn more money. The problem is, that the Palestinians want someone elses land. The region of Palestine (not a country) was divided into Israel and Jordan. The arabs got the largest slice, Jordan. But that's not good enough for the 'palestinians' they want the whole lot. THAT is the real problem.

Until 2020 (pandemic), most lifelong Canadians would have proudly & quickly said Canada is a great place. For multiple generations (young & old). It still is in many ways. But like all countries, a bunch of things have made life more difficult lately. \n \nDuring the COVID lockdowns, many people went wild wanting to buy a house (urban & rural). Increasing demand and rising prices. Not long after, inflation caused mortgage rates especially to rise. Rent costs soared too. People interested in working in hospitals declined. Less doctors etc.. \n \nSimultaneously in Canada, the number of people coming by air, land and boat to claim asylum skyrocketed. For example, in 2023 alone, in just one region (Central Canada) around 400 people arrived per day (on average). Ditto for other populated provinces. Also the number of international students SKYROCKETED too. In 2023, averaging around 2,000 per day across Canada. Years 2021 and 2022 had high #s too. \n \nThe majority trying to migrate to Canada recently have been from South Asia. And it's become extremely obvious to Canadians. Even those that are very used to much diversity & many cultures. Plus neighborhoods now know that international students are using schooling as a 'back door' ticket to come to Canada for permanent residency. No one says it in public amongst strangers, but everyone knows because they've witnessed the extreme PR frenzy firsthand by now. To many Canadians it has felt like a tidal wave that has reached all cities and small towns, with a post secondary school. This extreme situation never existed prior to 4 years ago.\n \nHospitals have been hit with many wanting free healthcare. Less doctors/nurses etc., means greater waiting times. Plus a VERY SEVERE HOUSING CRISIS has occurred in many western countries including in Canada. In ways not seen in people's lifetimes. And if you do find a place to live its quite expensive. Including small basement rooms. \n \nNow westerners want the money greedy agents (pseudo smugglers) in other countries to stop marketing & LYING to their own people about access to PR or citizenship … or accommodation/jobs … being easy (to get). And for any greedy people living in western countries to be ashamed of themselves if they're hurting students. Anyone doing things to make $ off of people's PR desires. At best, there is a 25% chance of gaining PR (better odds if you are masters/medicine etc.). \n \nNot all players across the board have acted honestly over the years, i.e. contract marriages (IELTS spouse), anchor babies, fraud, false asylum claims. Canada has asked the India government to prevent “ghost consulting”. The new PRIVATE (non-public) colleges are being investigated (including looking for strong oversea ties). \n \nCanadians are meeting students who told Canada they have enough $, but it turns out they borrowed it (some borrowed it for the application process only). Canadian food banks and other CHARITY services have been recklessly advertised on YouTube (by India students in Indian language). Many transit services have launched stricter rules, i.e. lost monthly bus passes registered in your name are now never replaced (unlike before). \n \nThen this year throw in all the Palestinian vs Israeli angry protests happening regularly in cities. Plus the Sikh vs Hindu violence/extortion mostly happening in Ontario and British Columbia. Plus the Canadian government also recently launched investigations in regards to foreign interference in Canadian elections. All stemming from Asia continent. Hate crimes have gone from rare to occasional (primarily South Asians against South Asians). \n \nCanadians are so so so so so not used to all this. So many, who have embraced multi-culturalism and immigration for decades are now VERY worried and fearful (due to all of the above). And all are praying it doesn't turn into great anger (like in the USA). \n \nCanadians want multi-culturism to succeed … and for all people (including immigrants) to be okay. Everyone I know is VERY happy with Canada Immigration's recent changes (reductions & investigations). Including multi-generational long-term Asian-Canadians where many have been the most upset (by all of this).

Trudeau made this place look like the promise land for refugees and international students. Most of them cant afford rent now, and want to go back home. Homeless Canadians can't find enough shelters. Our tax dollars are going to useless foreign military and carbon tax instead of sheltering the homeless and supporting our vets. \nCanadian retirement is going up to for 75 years old now.
