The reason for this 'trade war' is not about 'trade'. It's about 'creating chaos' so that president Trump is the 'centre' of world attention. A malignant naracistic individual apparently cannot have anyone seemingly to be 'doing better' or being more successful than he is. Canada ?? is a very successful nation and because of its economic success it is creating envy and apparently hatred in certain individuals who view the success of Canada ?? as a threat to themselves. The USA now apparently cannot see the value of a strong and stable economy as its near neighbours. Thats why apparently there are some who now want to crash the Canadian economy and when times then 'get tough' the blame and responsibility for this chaos will be accepted by whom. Presidents and Prime Ministers come and go. Once their 'term is over' they simply 'walk away'. World leaders need to be men or women of integrity and honesty who 'do the right thing'. With 'great power' comes 'great responsibility'. You only 'give responsibility' to someone who has the wisdom and expertise and understanding in order to both 'hold' and 'govern' wisely and without fear or favor. Maybe its time for others in positions of authority in other institutions to step in and 'take control'. You would never let a child drive a super car on the highway so how much 'damage' has to happen before a world leader is not 'held to account' and his 'hands removed' from the steering wheel before there is a motor accident so large that the freeway is rendered unless and has to be totally shut down your. You cannot have total power in the hands of individuals who apparently do not possess the necessary skills knowledge and experience and wisdom that is required to fulfil the role they were elected to fulfil. A person with the mind and mentality of a child apparently is not a fit person to be running the economy of any nation. May Canada ?? remember its roots and may we all be thankful for true and honest leaders who have integrity and do and say the right thing. Thank you Mr Prime minister. I trust that King Charles III has heard what his Canadian prime minister has said and what he is doing with total integrity.

Well idk my market is going up very nice today. Also we can make every Canadian goods at home so that there is no weight to his words in my eyes. I do say if Canada is doing all these measures though it would be nice to come to an agreement with Canada. To be friends with neighbors is always better than not being friends. So overall I'm kinda torn between it all. We don't need Canada to be honest but just because we don't need them does not mean we should not work with them. Very tuff situation at this moment.

My dad is an Indian migrant to Australia. He came here legally and worked his butt off for 40 years. To people commenting in the section about how this is unfair and complaining about it. Legal migrants don’t want you in their countries either. It ruins everyone’s reputation. Indians have largely been known to be model citizens. Ma'am, when a country makes it harder for citizens of a particular country to enter their country, it is often because of the number of recorded incidents, crime from people from said country. If there is a higher rate compared to people from other countries, then it becomes harder. Let's be honest here... Indians don't have a good reputation abroad when it comes to such things... I'm half Nigerians and at least many Nigerians acknowledge why lately, it is harder for Nigerians to get a visa (Obv crime as well.) Has nothing to do with discrimination. it's great that people are pointing out about visas but why no data analysis about country basic problems? if we sort those out, we would be rather thinking whose visa we need to grant and whom to reject?\n1. why no question on regulations on digitalization? In MNC there are SLA for server down, 404 not found etc. while it's been years we moved to digitalization but yet no proper regulations.\n2. lets be honest unemployment and inflation is beyond our control.\n3. Canada and the US deserve it for allowing so many Indians over... Unfortunately it is not true that a majority of the Indians are highly qualified. To be honest many of the Indian students here have poor communication skills and questionable qualifications. What is needed is a more careful selection process. I know of some Indians who are highly trained well educated and an asset to Canada especially in the health and tech fields. At the same time I see many who are not able to pass basic language tests let alone professional examinations.

My parents were both born in the states and my older brother was born there but they moved up here when he was a baby. So nearly all my extended family lives down there and I’m a duelly. And my experiences discussing things with my cousins or visiting absolutely could be described as culture shock at times. The insane things that came out of my own cousins mouths when they hear our friends or partners of various cultures , our not understanding how big a deal and incredibly insulting apparently it is to have assumed someone American was lgbt lol the list goes on. Like I don’t think our most intolerant Pockets can hold a flame to even ur closet to middle a bit intolerant places and contexts in America. Girls, I came here as an international student, I make about 150K year, I pay aournd 45% of my salary in taxes and 2500 in rent, that is unfair. My job comes from the U.S. and now I have to face impossible PR process. Canada needs reforms for sure, but think twice, this is not the only country a highly skilled immigrant can go, the world is big, stop blaming international students for everything, we came here following the rules, and we did not write those rules. To be honest, I am seriously thinking about moving somewhere else including home. I have a nice house, pool and warm weather back home.

I completely disagree with the international student english proficiency requirement to get a PGWP (i.e. for all international students). To get into any University program in Canada, you will need to pass an English Language proficiency test like IELTS or TOEFL anyways. At least for my four years of an Engineering degree, three co-op terms and a full-time secured Engineering position, 8 months before graduation you would think this international student knows how to communicate in English :). \n\nYes, there are certain students who just want to get the PR and don't care about the degree they are getting and probably just passed with the minimum IELTS requirement. A solution would be to make certain degrees like college diploma students take the English Language proficiency test again and at least have a language testing system which is free for these people. Spending $300-$400 after spending so much on international tuition fee to graduate from Bachelor's degree is a good policy in my honest opinion.

Honestly, this kind of human being is Absolute garbage. People who forget their origins and history and lose their humility and compassion are trash, point blank. I hope one day someone opens their hearts and minds. Until then, I stand by my choice of words. What she needs is real community, not an artificial surface level,meat-riding clique of disturbed individuals that need mental health support and scapegoat others for personal gains. Trump acts like we make SOOOOO much here in the US that we can function alone. FALSE! We make damn near NOTHING here. The problem with White people is they don’t have family unity, they view having children and inconvenience. They don’t realize that those children will become their safety net as they get older. Family helps each other out, those Indians would do anything to keep a family member from living in the streets. This would put their family in shame in their community. Canadians have something to learn from the Indians. By the way their religion disapproves of alcohol & drugs so they don’t have that problem. Honestly, our parents & grand parents taxes built these colleges & universities. There are too many deans, VP’s & bureaucracy in these constitution’s today. We do not need foreign students, more funding or raise tuitions. Our post secondary education system needs to clean house. Stop over charging for courses & tuition that doesn’t even offer classroom studies just more online courses.

She has been trying to get her visa to VISIT the United States since my 10 year old daughter was a baby. Her next appointment is in 2025. It can be a very long and tedious process.\nPeople make it sound so easy. “Just do it the right way!” They have no idea what they’re talking about.\nMy sister-in-law doesn’t even want to move here, she just wants to visit her nieces and nephews and they make her jump through so many hoops.\nAt her last appointment, she answered a question honestly when they asked why she wanted to visit the United States, she said, “to visit my family.”\nThe interviewer told her, “ok, that is fine, but do NOT ever mention this again in any other interview. Say that you want to go to Disneyland or the malls or something. Do not let them know that you have family there, or they will think that you will try to stay!”\nThey have a script that you need to follow. They’re not looking for honesty.

I'm a latino straight from South America and I'm very happy. I REALLY don't get what you american liberals think of us. The only reason we are willing to leave our countries to live in the US is because you have a country where we can thrive. In order to go to the US, we go through the process and apply for visas and the green card. That's being honest. We don't want the country filled with illegal immigrants who jump the border. Mexico #1 form of legal GDP is the money that legal and illegal immigrants send back to Mexico that money never returns to the USA economy. They also affect supply and demand. So things cost more because there is a higer demand with less supplies and thats simply based on population. I voted Blue , but things like this is why Democrats lose the election. They need to be honest about the long term affects of illegal immigration. And to bring up the cost as if we aren't sending hundreds of billions of aid and resources to other countries that frankly we shouldn't be doing at the rate that we are anymore because the world has benn mooching from Americans and their citizens good will and charity for too long. So this can be paid for without adding any debt. Trump is an idiot but he and Republicans are right on these issues. Democrats seen to treat this issue with kid gloves. Imagine have a million immigrants coming in with a country that has a population of 40 million.\n\nThe infrastructure comes to a stand still, housing is ruined, food inflation begins. \n\nHonestly thanks to Diploma mills, Asylum seekers and gangs from Punjab, its honestly gotten bad from the Indian perspective. Now add to this others coming in from Africa and South East Asia and you can see this country get worse honestly.\n\nThis isn't hate against anyone, its just facts.

I honestly don’t mind these numbers of immigrants as a Canadian, but we need more housing by a lot and we need a better distribution. There 200+ countries, why is any one of them making up 32% up new canadians!

I'm leaving for the DR Congo in six months (March 2025). I will be there for two to three weeks (depending on the job) and home situation.
