I am a Documented Legal Alien and married to an American citizen. I choose at this time to not apply for my citizenship as i dont want to have to apply to my own country of birth to enter again should i need to visit relatives there. However i have lived happily now for 20 years in the USA and have never looked back. We did our immigration LEGALLY and as much as i dislike D Trump. I do agree that undocumented Aliens who live here and married to an American' should not be here. We have the same issue in the United Kingdom and its far harder to deal with there, and there is an Ocean surrounding it. I have lived in UK, Australia, US and Canada. I spent 2 years in UK, 1 year in Australia then moved to US for my masters where I also worked for 6 years. So total of 8 years in US, I moved to India and had adjustment issues. Then 1.5 year later I moved to Canada as permanent resident. After 2 years, I ended up leaving Canada back to India. Some people suggested wait for another 13 months and return with Canadian citizenship but I had enough. What I have realized is, for tech/scientific roles, Canada or other countries are no match for the US. \nAlso, Americans are much kinder and open than people in Canada/UK/Australia. All these countries are expensive, quality of work and pay is not good. I was getting 150K CAD in Canada, where I pay 2100 CAD as 1 BHK rent. In India, I make 90K CAD and 2 BHK rent is 400 CAD. To me, America has no replacement, that's why people dont want to leave the US. I was not willing to spend whole life waiting for green card, and other countries are no match for US. That's why came back to India fro second time, despite the issues here.

I've been insulted by employers, our church buildings have been set on fire. I still have to explain why my faith doesn't believe in working on sundays (as employers want that these days). Heard on average it cost around $25000 just to have a child in the US. NO thank you going into debt just to have a kid. Here in Canada free no matter what. Also rather be free then availability. I dont rush to the hospital because of minor sickness like everyone else here does then complains about the wait times. Also dont put myself in dangerous situations to get myself hurt. Some people are so scared about death or wanting attention just go to the hospital for the dumbest reasons. Had someone on my facebook say they had a flu and had been waiting 6 hours in emerg then whined about it. I told them to go home and stop abusing our system thats the reason for wait times. The amount of people that were supposably so sick during covid that they were willing to leave the house and potentially spread their sickness to others just to get told they were sick and to rest. We as people are actually retarded. Any way to get off work and get tested for covid just so you can tell people you have covid like really people. Also not true about weather there are like 7 to 8 states that are way colder then us right now and over the winter then us here in Southern ontario. Maine, Montana, colorado, washington state usually are way colder during winter months and also get alot more snow. Canadian here. I will just say, after our pop increased by 1mil last year due to immigration (including foreign students that still drive up housing as they need to be housed), I can tell that the approval of our current immigration rates are a bit too generous. Maybe the survey was taken only in downtown areas of Toronto or Vancouver, so its really only asking other immigrants if immigration is chill, but that isnt the consensus of the nation. We dont make more than Americans, but we are taxed more (aka why we want more immigrants to get more tax $), and everything costs more here: from housing to food to energy. Its driven up by the current unsustainable immigration quotas. I myself an am immigrant, but when my family and I immigrated 23 years ago, we only took in 20 000 people a year. I wouldnt have an issue on this at all if we were building enough. Enough housing and transit for everyone. enough good paying jobs for all these newcomers. But these people (with excellent degrees) are lied to at the border with a false promise of prosperity, and just end up being uber drivers to make ends meet. Its a truly broken system. If you arent making 150k/year, you are very much considered lower--middle class.

I dont have a problem with the average American but life in Canada is everything you could ask for. Health care of course but here you can truly do what you want and live your dream if you work for it. Every single person here stands a chance to do amazing things if they have the drive and motivation. We take care of each other here and there are always lots of jobs. \n99% of Canadians would never move to the States unless it was ridiculous to turn down a huge opportunity. But your average person, never. We have it way better here. I have spent a fair bit of time in America. While I have enjoyed it and met some great people there is no comparison when it comes to overall quality of life in every regard.

I am Canadian, I was born here in the 60's, I've travelled around the world, including the US but have always lived and worked in Canada. I love my country. saying that now....\nThe last 10 years for Canada has been the worst ever in history, our government has destroyed the foundation of what it means to be Canadian and has made this country look very bad on the world stage.\nEventually that will change. This currently gives reasons why a Canadian wants to move from Canada.\nYou are right about the US, there are places you can move to that offer quiet, country, safe living but like Canada, those places usually trade the good life for lack of opportunity.. the difference is most of Canada gives you the good life and opportunity in the same place. A good example, Billings Montana or Red Deer Alberta... if you compare the 2, they are close, but overall life in Red Deer would be better.\nCulture has changed thoughts too, I could never get used to seeing anyone other that law enforcement carrying a gun.. I realize Americans have the right to carry guns.... but why? are you being invaded?\nI will pick up a gun if i need too in order to protect my country, but I don't need to prove it by displaying it in public. Given that alone, The american people have gluttoned themselves on firearms to the point of not just beating each other up in disagreements, but shooting each other... road rages in Canada dont usually end up death by shooting, people and kids don't usually walk into malls and schools and start shooting.\nYou cannot get guns that easy in Canada.
